Osteo-Articular Injuries of the Handis a monograph published under the auspices of the French Hand Society (Groupe d'Etude de la Main). It is an attractive, paper bound edition similar in style to previous editions on Dupuytren's disease and rheumatoid hand surgery. As in previous monographs, this edition is a collection of individual articles written mostly by society members. The text is in both French and English. The English translation is satisfactory and makes it possible for us to keep up with the recent writings of France's most renowned hand surgeons. Dr. Vilain edited the book and has added short comments at the beginning of several chapters. The articles are grouped into two headings: (1) Primary Treatment and (2) The Treatment of Sequelae. The title of this monograph is somewhat misleading in that ligament injuries are emphasized as much as fractures. However, this minor point does not detract from the
