The present paper is concerned with the visualization of the thoracic aorta and its branches by means of radiopaque material injected into the common carotid artery in a retrograde fashion. This technic has been of use in the diagnosis and localization of coarctation of the aorta. At the time that Farinas2demonstrated his studies on retrograde arteriography for visualization of the abdominal aorta at the radiological meetings in Chicago in 1944, it occurred to one of us (E. R. M.)...Bibliography1. FreemanMiller NEER: Retrograde arteriography in the diagnosis of cardiovascular lesions. I. Visualization of aneurysms and peripheral arteries, Ann. Int.
