The losses in air-condensers are divided into two portions, (1) those due to leakage through the solid dielectric, and (2) those due to terminal and plate resistance. A method is developed for measuring each, under conditions such that the other is negligibly small. The limits of the errors to which the methods are liable are discussed and some results of practical measurements are quoted.
