Abstract This paper experimentally studied paraffin’s influence on flexible PTC materials’ temperature resistance and flexibility. Their resistance-temperature characteristics are notably influenced by PA’s phase transition range thermal properties. Specifically, the Curie temperature is intricately linked and determined by the PA’s phase transition temperature. PA’s phase state and proportion in the composite directly impact PTC material flexibility significantly. Specifically, a lower PA phase transition temperature results in better flexibility of PTC materials at room temperature. Additionally, a lower PA content minimizes interference with the overall flexible mesh structure, further enhancing material flexibility. The PTC of this series of formulations showed good adaptive temperature control ability. The thermal control performance can be customized by adjusting the PA.
