Risk and Opportunity of Diageo: PESTEL and SWOT Analysis

This research talks about Diageo, the world-famous wine factory, and analyses the risks and opportunities through PESTEL Analysis and SWOT Analysis. This research provides an investment recommendation to investors interested in Diageo and provides a useful method to evaluate the business’s performance and the risks and opportunities it faces.

Code Switching in Teaching English as a Foreign Language

This study addresses the issue of English-Arabic-switching in the university classroom and how the use of alternative codes might serve the learning and teaching processes. The first part of this research talks about the definition of code switching which depends on different types of systematic methods, and about code switching and code mixing and how to mix between English and Arabic inside the classroom. The second part of the research talks about what are the disadvantages and benefits of using Arabic in the classroom and how to deal with it.

K-Stability, Birational Geometry and Mirror Symmetry

The workshop K-stability, Birational Geometry and Mirror Symmetry presented recent advances in all three topics, in the form of research level mini-courses, research talks and lightning talk sessions. Deep interactions between the three topics were highlighted, together with applications (e.g. to K-moduli or subgroups of the Cremona groups) and new directions (such as non-Archimedean methods in K-stability and Mirror Symmetry).

The air transport research society world conference: A data science-based literature review on the years 2014–2024

The Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) World Conference is one of the major venues for air transport research. The conference covers a wide range of research talks, practice/industrial sessions, and research workshop activities. In this paper, we perform a data-driven analysis of the research abstracts that have been accepted and presented at the conference since 2014. We have grouped the abstracts from the ten annual conferences using t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding to map high-dimensional keyword vectors into a two-dimensional plane for clustering, analysis, and visualization. The major focus of our study concerns three directions. First, we provide a formal description of the actual research presented at the ATRS World Conference series by using methods from natural language processing and machine learning, leading to a data-driven classification consisting of 35 major subject categories. Second, we analyze the origin of main authors/presenters and their background, including their institutions and countries of origin. Third, we perform a network-driven analysis of co-authorships across abstracts to identify the role and importance of key researchers in the community. Finally, we provide an analysis of popular research topics indicated by authors when submitting their abstracts, and a set of major recommendations for future work, based on the insights obtained from our study.

It’s great pleasure to introduce the proceedings of 2024 7th International Conference on Circuits, Systems and Simulation (ICCSS 2024) which was held successfully during May 17-19, 2024 in Serdang, Malaysia with virtual style ICCSS 2024 is co-organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia and Southeast University, China, hosted by Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, sponsored by IEEE CAS Society Malaysia chapter, supported by Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar and University of Rennes 1, France, etc. The conference delightfully welcomes all the researchers and developers to share their experiences and ideas through research talks and presentations from diverse fields in circuits, systems and simulation. This event offers a platform in bringing together a forum for students, postdocs and established scientists to exchange their ideas and contributing an integrative approach to Circuits, Systems and Simulation. This year, ICCSS received submissions from members of universities, research institutes and industries. All the papers have been reviewed for acceptance by the members of Conference Committees and reviewers in a double-blind procedure. The acceptance of the papers is based on their quality and relevance to the conference. All accepted papers were divided into 3 chapters: Microelectronic Devices and Equipment Development; Electronic Materials and Electronic Systems Analysis; Modern Electronic Information Systems and Application Technologies. All the papers were presented by the authors in the conference. The success of the conference is due to the high scientific level of all the contributions as well as to the enthusiasm of all the attendees. The member of the Technical Committee did a precious job in selecting the papers that were accepted for presentation and for inclusion in this book of proceedings among those that were initially submitted. We strongly believe that the participants will find the discussions fruitful, and will enjoy the opportunity for setting up future collaborations. Public opinion and the teaching profession

Negative public perception of schools nationally impacts the teaching profession in direct and indirect ways. This perception has depressed the number of students in teacher preparation programs at universities. Indirectly, public perception affects teacher working conditions, compensation, and morale. Education advocates and researchers talk about the historical roots of perception of teachers, how and why negative perceptions persist, and how teachers can change the narrative.

Mini-Workshop: Positivity and Inequalities in Convex and Complex Geometry

The workshop convened researchers from algebraic geometry, convex geometry, and complex geometry to explore themes arising from the Alexandrov–Fenchel and Brunn–Minkowski inequalities. It featured three introductory talks delving into the basics of Lorentzian polynomials, valuations in convex geometry, and plurisubharmonic functions, that served as a foundation for the subsequent research talks. As anticipated, significant overlap emerged among the varied perspectives within these three areas, evident in the presentations and ensuing discussions.

The health situation in the cities of Southern Kurdistan in the nineteenth century

The content of this research talks about the health situation in the cities of southern Kurdistan in the nineteenth century, which its population was suffering from poverty, back wardness illiteracy, destruction, high taxes rates and bad political conditions, due to the bad economic, social and political circumstances, beside these, a variety of dangerous diseases like (plague, cholera, malaria, fever, diarrhea and vomiting.) had spread in (Sulaimani, Kirkuk, Hawler, Ramanduz, Amedi) durnng the years (1820, 1821, 1830, 1831,1832, 1845, 1865, 1871, 1889, 1900 …), which caused great economic, social, political losses and health disasters. sometimes they caused the death of nearly half of these cities population. Low health awareness and lack of health service forced the inhabitants of these areas to resort to alternative medicine, magic and sorcery and the shrine of the righteous. The indifference and neglecting of the health sector by Ottoman Empire caused frequent health disasters, despite the fact that the Ottoman state had opened several hospitals and quarantine centers in both cities Sulaimani and Kirkukein the seventieth of the nineteenth century , but they were not provided enough budget as compared to the military sectors , the laste money was allocated for the helth sector, no hospitals or governmental health centers were found in cities like Hawler , Koya , Rawandz and the Amedi tell the beginning of the twenentieth century.

The Application of Mindset Theories in English Language Education: A Synthesis of Recent Research

<p style="text-align:justify">Mindset theories have been applied to study motivation in various domains, with researchers talking about different mindsets in diverse academic domains. The domain specificity of mindsets has led second language researchers to suggest distinct mindsets concerning language ability and learning outcomes. While there is no lack of research on the application of mindset theories, a systematic synthesis of the literature on mindset theories focusing on the language education domain has remained relatively unexplored. The literature in this study was identified by conducting keyword searches in Scopus and EBSCOhost research databases using a combination of the following terms: “mindset theories”, “English as a foreign language”, “English as a second language”, and “teacher training”. The search results were limited to research articles published in English-medium refereed journals from 2013 to 2023. We scrutinized the titles and abstracts of 128 articles in the initial round of screening and did a second round of close reading for relevance to the synthesis focus. This chapter synthesizes 40 research papers on the application of mindset theories in the domain of language teaching and learning, including 1) studies on language skills such as writing, 2) studies related to language teachers’ role and teacher training, and 3) theoretical and practical applications of mindset theories. The conclusions drawn will be used to recommend future directions in research and practice. The chapter will contribute to the field of mindset theories in language education in terms of research and practice for educators and researchers.</p>

A Study on the Status of Older Adult Residents of Srilankan Refugee Camp in Puzhal

The research talks about the status of older adult residents in the Sri Lankan refugee camp at Puzhal, Chennai. As the older adult resident are the first generation of Sri Lankan residents to move due to the political war in their country to different parts of the world including India, they have seen a fair share of struggle in displacement and settlement in other nations. The research understands the physical, social and economic status of older adult residents. Their access to humanitarian assistance programs and living conditions were also assessed. The census method of sampling was used and response from all older adult residents were taken. Suggestions from the residents through this research aims to aid the future policy making and governance for the benefit of the residents.

Homotopy Theory

The workshop brought together experts in homotopy theory from many areas, including chromatic homotopy theory, algebraic K-theory, derived algebra and equivariant homotopy theory. We had a lecture series on the recent disproof of the telescope conjecture. In addition to a total of 24 research talks we had two gong-shows where participants presented their research in 10-minute talks.

This research includes qualitative historical research, using the historical method which includes 4 stages, namely: heuristic method by searching for historical data related to Pasa Ateh (Upper Market), source criticism in the form of selecting data that has been taken, interpretation in the form of interpreting historical data, and Historiography is the rewriting of History. From the first discussion, Pasa Ateh (Upper Market) Bukittinggi experienced a fire in 2017. Second, the development of Pasa Ateh (Upper Market) in terms of physical buildings. Third, the social and economic impacts resulting from the revitalization of buildings.

“I feel the cards are mutually beneficial”- understanding the parent’s view on the use of the friendship cards for emotional literacy and conflict management

ABSTRACT Research talks about the importance of the family in the development of social and emotional competencies of children. In this paper, we wanted to explore whether the Friendship cards (FC) (a theoretically derived preventive educational game) helped to improve the relationship between the participants and their children and whether it helped in the development of other social and communicative skills. Semi-structured interviews were used with parents from different countries. All these parents attended a 4-day online training course which dealt with the theoretical aspect, the presentation of the cards and practical ways on how to use these cards within the family context. Results from this study indicated that the tool enhances the social and emotional learning of children and adolescents in a fun and experiential way. The tool also enhances emotional expression, emotional regulation and conflict management, creating a safe space where communication can be facilitated. The research presented in the paper provides insights on how the FC can be used to enhance a positive relationship and how communication can make a difference.

Presently, the utilization of dietary supplements is on increment around the world. This research will help in studying the early openness to healthful enhancements by possible shoppers and to identify their buying pattern. Determinant Factors for Learning Model Development: Their Influence on Employee Performance

Business competition and high demands for services in the banking industry currently require companies to have increasingly high organizational capacity that relies on human resource performance and learning models. This research aimsto identify, study,and analyze Learning Models to Improve the Performance of Banking Industry Employees.The purpose of this study is to identify, investigate, and evaluate the factors that will be incorporated into the learning model and how they affect worker performance. ASystematic Literature Review (SLR) is the research method approach that is employed. It is completed by finding pertinent research, evaluating its caliber, and producing a scientific summary of the findings of the earlier study. Research talks yielded variables that will be used as learning models to enhance worker performance. A human resource management method is used in this study, particularly when examining the variables that affect employee performance. It was discovered that five variables—three independents, one intervening, and one dependent—were employed as research items in this study. Toincrease employee performance, the learning management system, learning instructional design, learning assessment, and competency development were implemented. What makes the ensuing research unusual is that no learning model emerged from these processes.

The conclusion of the research is that giving is evidence of obedience and belief in God's word.

Luminescence Spectroscopic Investigation of Eu<sup>3+</sup> Doped Oxides: Review

Given their potential utility in a variety of fields, including solid-state lighting, flat-panel displays, solar energy converters, optical amplifiers, and more, phosphors and glasses driven by Rare Earth (RE) ions and emitting multiple colors have attracted a lot of interest. Full-spectrum lighting, high-efficiency near-infrared emission, and wide colour gamut display are the primary difficulties for these emerging RE doped phosphors, which are dependent on the emission characteristics of the phosphors utilized. The various methods of synthesis for Eu3+ activated red emitting phosphors are discussed, with an emphasis on the aspects that contribute to improved luminous performance. This luminescence analysis is used in investing the Crystal structure and defects in metal oxides from which it provides information on the chemical and mechanical behavior of metal oxides during mining and processing operations. In this description, we outline the research findings and talk about the luminescence theory of the Eu3+ doped glasses and oxides for the red emission.

In addition to the standard research talks we had two survey talks by Marc Lackenby and Joel Hass, leading to discussions of open problems. Furthermore we had three sessions of fiveminute talks by a total of roughly thirty participants.
