Research Profile of Problem Based Learning on Physics Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic

<span lang="EN">This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the profile of the Problem Based Learning Model in Physics learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The research method used is literature study or literature study. The data collection technique used is to look for relevant journals that will be used as references, The journals analyzed were 32 journals, most of which were reputable international journals and journals published in the range of 2020-2022, because at that time the Covid-19 pandemic occurred in Indonesia. From the results of research that has been carried out learning physics during this pandemic has quite an impact on student learning outcomes. In physics lessons, many students experience misconceptions, do not understand physics concepts and their enthusiasm for learning decreases. One model that may be relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic is the model discussed in this study, namely Problem Based Learning. It is proven that the Problem Based Learning model in physics learning during the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia is effectively used in improving students' problem solving abilities, critical thinking, creative thinking, and student argumentation. Even though there are some obstacles such as the uneven internet in Indonesia which prevents them from accessing the materials. And also still need relevant teaching materials and learning tools during the covid-19 pandemic.</span>

Conveying Message Distortion: A Synchronous and Asynchronous Approach to Effective Aviation Communication Services

The study focuses on message distortion in aviation communication services, seen from the problem of using the media both synchronously and asynchronously. In doing so, 65 articles from reputable international journals, international journals, and accredited national journals were analyzed. The constructivism paradigm involves multidisciplinary information systems, communications, and media services. Excellent service in aviation is hampered by message distortion from customer service and customers exchanging information because communication media is dominated by asynchronous communication. The combination of approaches using synchronous and asynchronous media bridges the problem of message distortion in aviation communication services. Message distortions include physical disturbances, semantic disturbances, cultural and language differences, no feedback, status or position level differences, and information overload between communicators and communicants.

TRAINING FOR THE PREPARATION OF SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES FOR LECTURERS AND STUDENTS AT HIGHER EDUCATION IN BANTEN

Scientific article writing training is very important in improving the skills of students and lecturers in compiling good and correct scientific articles. With this training, it is hoped that students and lecturers can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to face challenges in the academic world, and can gain recognition for the scientific work they produce through publication in accredited national journals and reputable international journals. The purpose of this training is to increase the understanding of students and lecturers in writing good and correct scientific articles and it is hoped that participants will gain knowledge and skills in compiling scientific articles in accordance with standards set by accredited national journals and reputable international journals. The method used in scientific article writing training through zoom meetings with a combination of lecture and practice methods is a very appropriate method. With this method, participants can follow the training material more easily and can immediately practice writing good and correct scientific articles. The participants who took part in the training were approximately 100 people, a large enough number of participants for a scientific article writing training. The results of the service activities carried out were very satisfying, with increased partner knowledge in terms of writing scientific articles. This training can also help students to realize the importance of scientific publications in the context of disseminating knowledge. With scientific publications, students and lecturers can make a real contribution to the academic world and can help improve the quality of education in Indonesia

Business Opportunity Human Resource Information System for a Human Resource Department to Create Career Path and Performance Evaluation

The purpose of the study is to describe and show the role of HRIS related to its use, business opportunities, and employee performance evaluation, which is used from existing scientific articles and then given a perspective by researchers in this scientific article. Research methods used. Qualitative research with a literary research approach. This method uses the keywords HRIS, Human Capital and Career to summarize articles from Google Scholar, Research Gate and other reputable international journals. Literature titles, abstracts and keywords are used to filter the criteria of the filtered literature again, reading the entire content. The results of research with research variables are related to research (Nagendra &; Deshpande, 2014), (Irum &; Yadav, 2019), (Widhianto, 2002), (Jonni &; Husein, 2019), and there are also research results that conflict with manual use with HRIS from research results (Edhy Permata, 2019), the last research from (Susanto &; Parmenas, 2021) where business and development opportunities for companies to use HRIS in MSMEs. Analysis of the Submitted Lecturers’ Scientific Works in a Reputable International Journal: A Multiple Case Study

This paper was generally intended to analyse the lecturers' competence in writing their scientific works published in a target reputable international journal (RIJ). The analysis focused on the FCL (Format, Content, and Language), including the submitter's obedience in using "Format" (template), "Content"(IMRaD) and "Language" in principle. Several (95) articles submitted by lecturers worldwide to the research target RIJ were analysed. The data were grouped into two categories, namely the raw data (manuscripts that have not been reviewed) and the ready data (the manuscripts have been completely reviewed and resubmitted to the journals' chief editors). The ready data, then, were analysed descriptively based on the defined criteria. The research procedure was performed as follows: (1) raw data provision; (2) defining criteria of assessment (namely content and communication) by using the journal review template; (3) raw data accurately reviewed; (4) analysing review results; (5) data validation; and (6) judgement. The result of judgement was then defined as the research findings. This study reveals that among the investigated 95 articles submitted to the target RIJ, 41 articles consistently fulfilled the demanded template, 21 inconsistently fulfilled, and 33 articles did not implement the template at all. The findings are expected to contribute both as reference enrichment and for policy-making for the relevant parties connected to the related appearing issues in future research.

Phrasal Syntactic Complexity Measures in Linguistics Research Articles Written by Iraqi and English L1 Writers

Complex phrasal structures are considered the distinctive features in the academic writing of high-proficiency writers. The use of more complex phrasal structures increases the quality of the written text. Based on the contrastive rhetorical theory of writing, writers are required to use linguistic components in a specific way that meets the genre of writing. This study aims to investigate and compare the phrasal syntactic complexity measures of the texts of linguistics research articles written by Iraqi and English L1 writers. It identifies if there is a significant difference between the writing of Iraqi and English L1 writers in terms of using phrasal syntactic structures. This study utilised the corpus-based method to analyse linguistics research articles written by Iraqi and English L1 writers and published from 2016 to 2020. Twelve phrasal syntactic complexity measures were analysed by using the automatic analyser TAASSC. This study revealed a significant difference between the writing of Iraqi and English L1 writers in terms of the analysed phrasal complexity measures. Utilising the complex phrasal structures in Iraqi research articles would significantly contribute to the quality and publication acceptance in reputable international journals. This study is therefore significant to guide Iraqi researchers to improvise their academic writing skills for publication purposes. Digital Government for Anti Corruption: A Systematic Literature Review

Corruption is a major crime that harms state finances and the public interest. One way to fight corruption is to implement digital government to increase government transparency and accountability. The purpose of this study was to undertake a thorough review of the literature on government digitalization and anti-corruption.This study used a descriptive analysis approach to 99 articles obtained from the Scopus database in the 2019-2021 period. The data in the form of RIS is processed by using VOSviewer which showed that Government, Transparency, Corruption, Governance and Level are the most dominant concepts that are most often explained by researchers. This indicated that these four keywords have a very significant influence in studies on this topic. This research contributed to providing a reference for policy makers or relevant stakeholders in preventing corrupt practices through the application of digital government which is increasingly important during Covid-19. The limitation of this study lied in the reference source which only comes from Scopus and the short duration of data collection. Therefore, in order to produce a comparative, broad and comprehensive analysis, further studies need to include sources of other reputable international journals such as the Web of Science (WoS) and increase the duration of data collection.

Mendeley Software Training in Facilitating Reference Management in Thesis Writing for ITB Postgraduate Program Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan

The purpose of holding the Mendeley software training program is to make it easier for postgraduate students to write automatic bibliography as well as find references for reputable international journals and accredited national journals in particular and write citations. The method used in training activities is carried out by the team in the form of lectures, practice and question and answer. This training was conducted at the ITB Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan campus on Saturday 17 December 2022, involving lecturers from ITB Ahmad Dahlan Lamongan. The result of the training is to increase students' knowledge of using delay software and making bibliography using reference management. The implication of the training activities is that these activities can be scheduled for each batch of postgraduate students in the future

Social Manufacturing On Integrated Production System: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract Currently, the development of information technology in all fields is very rapid, including in the manufacturing sector, thus making the social environment of manufacturing change a lot. Traditional manufacturing research focuses on applying technology, such as production models, supplier arrangements, automation, advanced machines in the manufacturing industry, etc. Global competition and increasingly diverse customer demands are a phenomenon that occurs today. Social manufacturing is a new distributed, collaborative, and intelligent manufacturing, that every consumer can participate in the entire process of product design, manufacture, and even marketing. This study aims to examine the development of social manufacturing systems and the latest research in social manufacturing. The method used is to review the latest papers related to social manufacturing that provide a new paradigm for the manufacturing industry, then map based on the concepts, frameworks, and technologies used. The results of this review paper are in the form of mapping research papers taken from the database of a reputable international journal, Scopus. The mapping includes data on the author, co-author, terms on social manufacturing paper, year of publication, type of document and publisher. This systematic literature review can be one of the references for basic research on social manufacturing.

House Dust Mite Exposure: Can It Be A Severe COVID-19 Prevention?

Background: In the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many studies are looking for treatment to suppress viral replication and prevention through vaccination. However, to this day the number of incidences and deaths due to COVID-19 is still increasing. Objective: The purpose of this article is to review theoretically the alleged increase in eosinophils in house dust mite exposure can prevent the severity of COVID-19 symptoms. Methods: This article was compiled through a literature search in reputable international journals by the time 2020-2021. Result: The severity of symptoms that arise due to COVID-19 infection is one of them caused by eosinophenia. On the other hand, the host immune response to house dust mite exposure can increase the number of eosinophils through stimulation of IL-6, IL-8, GM-CSF, IL-5 and IL-33. These eosinophils will then express TLR-7 on the cell surface which makes them able to recognize SARS-CoV-2. Stimulation of this eosinophil receptor triggers the production of cytokines, degranulation, superoxide, and nitric oxide (NO) through NO synthase which has a direct antiviral effect. EDN and ECP of human eosinophils can decrease viral infectivity through a ribonuclease-dependent mechanism. Eosinophils are capable of producing extracellular traps composed of eosinophilic granule proteins bound to mitochondrial DNA in response to viral infection in vitro, especially in an oxidative lung tissue environment. Eosinophils also rapidly mobilize granules of Th1 cytokines, including IL-12 and IFN-g which are important for antiviral immune responses. Conclusion: Although available data are still limited, there are indications that eosinophils have a protective effect during SARS-CoV-2 infection. Therefore, biological agents such as exposure to house dust mites targeting eosinophils may be useful to help clarify the role of eosinophils in their antiviral response.

Research gap strategies in article introductions of different rank applied linguistics journals

Research gap (RG) becomes an important rhetorical work in research article introductions in all fields, especially in a competitive research publication atmosphere. A research article (RA) submitted to a reputable journal may be rejected because the writers fail to show the ‘niche’ in reviewing previous relevant studies to justify their research project. This research aims to find how writers in Applied Linguistics (AL) published in international journals of different quality in terms of their quartile value address the novelty in their journal article introductions. Forty articles were selected from eight different reputable international journals in AL of different tiers for the corpus of this study. The content analysis method under the umbrella of the qualitative approach was applied in the data collection and analysis. Six RG strategies, as suggested by Arianto et al. (2021), were used as a model for analysis and then the linguistic features used by the writers in realizing the RGs. The results show that among the six different RG strategies, the most frequently used by international writers are Strategy 2 (inadequate research) and Strategy 4 (contradictive/conflicting evidence). Among the four groups of RAs, those published in Quartile 1 journals used the most frequent strategies. The frequent linguistic features used by international writers are adversative conjunctions and adjective-modifying nouns to signal their RG strategies. To improve the quality of an article introduction, writers, especially novice writers, should use multiple strategies with the appropriate linguistic features.

Pelatihan Penulisan Artikel Ilmiah dan Manajemen Referensi bagi Dosen Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Pelamonia

In Indonesia, one of the benchmarks for lecturer performance can be noticed from their publications. Therefore, it is important for lecturers to continue improving their knowledge and skills in writing a scientific article such as reference management skills. Prior to the service activities, an analysis of problems related to writing a scientific article was carried out. The service activity began with a pre-test to measure the extent of the participants' understanding in writing a scientific article and reference management. Furthermore, two trainings namely scientific article writing training and reference management training were presented by the speakers. After the training, a discussion session was held between the participants and team. The activity ends with a post-test to measure the extent to which the participants' knowledge and skills have increased in scientific article writing and reference management. Reflection on the implementation of this program is carried out by team leader and team to review all the benefits and weakness of this program and its implementation. Partners in this service are Lecturers of Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Pelamonia with 46 participants. The results achieved in this service are: before the presentation of the material, 75% of the participants still lacked in understanding regarding the writing a scientific article in Reputable International Journals. After the presentation of the material, 93.5% of the participants had understood the writing a scientific article in Reputable International Journals.

Public Private Partnership in Transportation Infrastructure: A Review on Toll Road Development

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have become an increasingly important tool for delivering infrastructure and public services worldwide. In Toll Road development, PPP scheme is often being used to deliver public infrastructure. PPPs have received a lot of attention from academics as a new approach to public procurement. To enhance our knowledge of PPPs, this study aims to analyze the trend of articles discussing collaborative governance in toll road developments with PPP schemes in Asian, African, American, Australian and European countries during the 2000–2020 period and analyze the most discussed topic in PPP research specifically in collaborative governance. The relationship between PPP research and Public Sector Accounting Theory is also analyzed. Using a qualitative method with a Systematic Literature Review approach, this study analyzed published articles from reputable international journals. Result of this study shows a positive trend in the quantity of research articles that discuss collaborative governance in toll road development by PPP scheme. Moreover, it found also that frequently discussed topics in PPP research are Risk Management, Value for Money, Critical Success Factors, PPP Challenges, PPP Evolution and Financing. This study found that Public Sector Accounting Theory (Governance Theory, Institutional Theory and Stakeholders Theory) have influenced most the PPP scheme in toll road development.

Youtube Videos As Learning Media:A Review In EFL Contexts

YouTube has become one of the most visited social media globally. Its saturation in students' lives has triggered experiments and observations on the use of YouTube as learning media. This article discusses the use of YouTube videos to teach English language skills using George's literature review model. The databases for selecting the articles used as the data source in this study were Google scholar and ERIC. The relevant articles were published in reputable international journals and nationally accredited journals in the past ten years. Studies on the use of YouTube videos as a teaching medium indicate that using YouTube videos can improve students' listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills and solve their problems in mastering the skills. Furthermore, YouTube videos have been proven to help students solve their grammar difficulties and increase their vocabulary. YouTube videos are also agreed to have kept the students more interested, motivated, and enthusiastic towards English language learning. These results imply that relevant YouTube videos can provide good learning media for supporting students' learning of English as a Foreign Language.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Tax Avoidance: A Systematic Literature Review

Corporate social responsibility and tax avoidance influence each other and impact economic growth. This research also aims to provide a systematic review of research on Corporate Social responsibility and Tax Avoidance. This paper presents a systematic literature review with thirtyseven articles from reputable international journals indexed by Scopus and WoS (from 2017 until 2022). The study found that based on the classification of research methods, analytical methods dominated research by 74%, survey methods by 19%, and literature review methods by 7%. This research also showed the latest four years (2019 until 2022), the flow of distributing articles on this topic has increased every year. It can be concluded that in this study, a literature review on the topics of corporate social responsibility and tax avoidance also showed supporting variables that are rarely studied ( Firm Performance, Employee Behaviour, and related reporting). This study is needed to provide an updated overview of extant research and draw guidelines for further research. The results of this study described not only the latest research but also the research agenda for further research in Corporate Social Responsibility and Tax Avoidance.

Pelatihan Strategi Penulisan Artikel Ilmiah untuk Publikasi di Jurnal Internasional Bereputasi Tinggi bagi Periset BRIN

The problem that underlies this PkM activity is the lack of optimal competence of BRIN researchers in writing scientific articles for publication in reputable international journals. For this reason, this PkM activity aims to provide training on strategies for writing scientific articles for publication in reputable international journals. The method used is in the form of training and mentoring for BRIN researchers. The training is carried out online (online) through the zoom application, while discussions and consultations (assistance) are also carried out online through the Whatsapp application. This activity is carried out in four stages, including; preparation stage, implementation stage, discussion and consultation stage, and evaluation stage. Based on the results and discussion, it is shown that the trainees still experience problems in publishing scientific articles. Based on discussions and consultations, participants have high enthusiasm to be able to carry out quality research and publish in reputable international journals. Through this PkM activity, it is hoped that it will increase the capacity of BRIN researchers in writing quality scientific articles for international publications.. EVALUASI PROGRAM PENUGASAN DOSEN DI SEKOLAH (PDS) FKIP UNIVERSITAS LAMPUNG MENGGUNAKAN MODEL CIPP

Lecturer Assignments in Schools or Penugasan Dosen di Sekolah (PDS) is one of the flagship programs for revitalizing TTIs based on partnerships with schools. The PDS program at FKIP Unila that has been implemented needs to be evaluated for its level of success. The purpose of this evaluation is to describe the level of success in implementing the PDS program at FKIP Unila as a whole in terms of context, input, process, and product. The program evaluation model uses the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data collection techniques were used in the form of observation, distributing questionnaires, and document analysis. Evaluation data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively with stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The evaluation results show that the PDS FKIP Unila program was successful in terms of context, input, process, and product. Success in terms of context is demonstrated by the legal basis for program implementation which is clear and has program objectives that are in line with the revitalization of the LPTKs by increasing the professionalism of teachers. Success in terms of input is demonstrated by instructors who are competent in their fields, professional organizing teams, program materials that are by the school curriculum, supporting facilities and infrastructure, and sufficient budget funds. Success in terms of the process includes the implementation of the activity plan according to the specified schedule, the performance of the organizers and instructors being optimal, the participants being able to participate in education and training actively and well, and evaluations are carried out thoroughly both for evaluation of participants, instructors, and organizers. Success in terms of product is obtaining output in the form of best practices in the form of reflective journals, videos, and learning media as well as articles published in international proceedings and reputable international journals. Based on the evaluation results, the implementation of the Unila FKIP PDS program was effective in providing solutions for increasing the professionalism of educators.

Student Edited Law Journals: Strengthening the Creativity of Law Students in a Challenging Era

Harvard Law School (HLS) is one of the world's leading law schools. HLS graduates have had a significant impact on the development of international law. The HLS dialectics and academic climate grew through various student discussion forums, one of which was the student journal forum. At HLS, student edited journals are one of the routine activities of students at all levels, both undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Many student edited journals at HLS are included in the category of reputable international journals (either Scopus or Web of Science). The governance of student journals at HLS can be traced transparently on the HLS official website and it is very possible to be adopted and modified in the governance of law student journals at the State University of Semarang. Nevertheless, there is a big challenge to be faced, namely the quality of human resources. So that this service program aims to develop human resources in the management of student journals by adopting and modifying the management style of student edited journals at Harvard Law School. This program is in collaboration with UKM Lex Scientia, a unit that focuses on research and publication activities for law students. The output of this program is expected to create a proposed model for the management of an ideal law student journal within the State University of Semarang. In addition, through this program, it is hoped that there will be an increase in the quality of human resources in the management of law student journals. This program will have direct implications for improving the quality and quantity of student publications and will directly affect the achievement of the University's IKU and the level of UNNES ranking on an international scale.

The Linguistic Characteristics of Article Titles in Applied Linguistics Published in Accredited National Journals of Different Sinta Scores

The journal article (henceforth JA) title is regarded as an advertisement to promote the content of the research article to potential readers. The authors must write and organize their titles to be attractive by paying attention to the syntactic features of titles. This research aims at investing the average length, syntactic features, and the differences of JA titles in Applied Linguistics at different Sinta scores. The method used in this research was a mixed-method with an exploratory sequential design. 120 JA titles were included as corpora of this research taken from six journals at different Sinta scores. The analyses of data were conducted following Cheng et al. (2012)’s framework on the syntactic features, while the analysis of the average length of JA titles by counting the parts of speech of the titles. The results show that the average length of JA titles was in the range of 10.5 to 13.55 words. Moreover, there are three types of syntactic features of JA titles found in this research, namely nominal structure, compound structure, and Verb-Ing phrases. Furthermore, all groups of journals in applied linguistics at different Sinta scores tended to have the same average length and syntactic features of JA titles. The findings of this research give useful significance for Indonesian authors in applied linguistics especially new or novice authors should learn and use the common syntactic features of JA titles when writing an article in English to be submitted to reputable international journals.

Effectiveness of Project Based Learning Integrated STEM in Physics Education (STEM-PJBL): Systematic Literature Review (SLR)

This study aims to review 36 articles from reputable international journals such as indexed by Scopus, Web of Science (WoS) and SINTA, which explains the Effectiveness of Project Based Learning Integrated STEM in Physics Education. The articles selected for review were the ones published in the last eight years, from 2015 to 2022. The research approach used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This study analyzed the representation of research according to their general characteristics consists of type of publication, year of publication, research approach and educational level. This study also analyzes the effectiveness STEM-PJBL in physics education based on the results of the reviewed research articles. The results show that the use of STEM-PJBL has a positive impact on cognitive, skills and attitude aspects and that STEM-PJBL can be integrated into media or materials teaching such as modulary,worksheet, the implementation of STEM with robots, as well as teacher awareness. So it can be used by teachers as input to apply STEM-PJBL in during physics learning.
