Prevention and treatment of complications of the postpartum period remains one of the urgent tasks of modern obstetrics. Objective: to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and prophylactic complex to reduce the frequency of postpartum complications in women with a large intergenetic interval.Materials and methods. 197 pregnant women and parturients were examined: 85 women with a large intergenetic interval - 1 group; 68 age-olds for the first time - 2 group and 44 women giving birth with a break from 3 to 5 years - 3 group. The developed treatment-and-prophylactic complex was applied in 30 women with a large intergenetic interval (main group) and in 37 women who were observed in accordance with generally accepted events (comparison group). The average age of women ranged from 26 to 45 years. The study used clinical, psychological, bacteriological, instrumental (ultrasound), immunological, statistical research methods.Results. In the postpartum period, in women with a large intergenetic interval, violations of uterine involution in puerperia are observed (subinvolution - 9.4%, lochyometer - 7.1%). During the year, these women have a low level of stress tolerance (70%), short lactation (up to six months 54%), prolonged recovery of menstrual function (37.5% - more than a year), insufficient education regarding modernmethods of contraception (> 75% - interrupted sexual intercourse). The proposed complex allowed to reduce the incidence of puerperium complications (subinvolution and lochiometer were not observed) and reproductive health disorders during the year after delivery (recovery of menstrual function indicators in 6-12 months - 70%, lactation duration more than 6 months - 58%, use of modern methods contraception up to 70%). A high level of stress tolerance was in 60% of women in the main group.Conclusion. Women with a large intergenetic interval have complications after childbirth and therefore require careful obstetric and gynecological support both during pregnancy and during the year after childbirth.
