Management of Moral Development for Students

The research in this thesis descriptively explains the management of moral development at Dayah Nurul Islam in Southeast Aceh. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Based on the research findings, it was found that Dayah Nurul Islam in Aceh was established in 1960 by Tengku Abuya Ja’far Sidik bin H. Hasan bin H. Abbas. In its subsequent development, the dayah has expanded in several aspects, including institutional development, curriculum, and facilities. The existence of Dayah Nurul Islam and its role in society is to foster the Muslim community. Therefore, the role of Dayah Nurul Islam in society is as a religious educational institution, a preaching institution, and a social institution. To realize these roles, the management of moral development for students is implemented by integrating modern management systems, including planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of moral development for students at Dayah Nurul Islam. The education and teaching system at Dayah Nurul Islam Southeast Aceh follows the modern pesantren system. This is evident from the planning of work programs for each section, the creation of an annual education and teaching calendar according to the work programs that have been prepared, the determination of consultation, coordination, and instruction methods for each section, and the determination of the form, method, and time of reporting for each section. The planning is carried out under the Deputy Director of the Dayah in collaboration with the heads of SMP and MA Nurul Islam Southeast Aceh.

Moderasi Beragama dan Inovasi Pembelajaran di Pasraman Lombok Tengah

Nonformal Pasraman, as a Hindu religious educational institution, plays a crucial role in enhancing the faith and devotion of Hindu adherents. However, it faces various challenges that impact the quality of learning. This study analyzes the implementation and development of religious moderation values in the curriculum and materials of Pasraman, the role of Pasraman in implementing moderation, and the potential development of Hindu-based learning models. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data from observations, interviews, and documentation from all Pasraman in Central Lombok. The data were reduced, displayed, and verificated narratively. The findings indicate that religious moderation values in Pasraman are indirectly taught through Hindu teachings such as Dharma, Tat Twam Asi, and Tri Hita Karana, which support the role of Pasraman in moderation. This role is further strengthened through the optimal application of the Tri Kaya Parisudha teachings by the acaryas. Pasraman possesses advantages in terms of demography, foundation licenses, and Hindu teachings that support character formation. However, it also faces weaknesses, such as limited teaching staff, facilities, and management. Potential development includes the provision of teaching materials, learning methods, and the establishment of district-level organizations as discussion forums.

Aswaja Material Learning Assistance with Peer Learning Method

This study discusses the assistance of learning Aswaja material through the application of peer learning methods in the religious education environment at the madrasah tsnawiyah level. The peer learning method was chosen as an approach to increase students' understanding and involvement in learning Aswaja concepts. This mentoring process involves students as facilitators in study groups, where they share knowledge and learning experiences with each other. A qualitative approach was used in this study, with case studies as the main framework. The research participants consisted of students, teachers, and school administrators who were directly involved in the learning process. Data was collected through interviews, participatory observations, as well as analysis of curriculum documents and evaluation of student learning outcomes. The results of the study show that the use of the peer learning method in Aswaja learning is able to increase student engagement, strengthen understanding of the material, and encourage collaboration between students. Challenges faced in the application of this method include differences in abilities between students and the need for facilitator training to be more effective in guiding groups. The discussion highlights the implications of these findings for the development of the Aswaja learning method in religious education institutions as well as strategic recommendations to optimize the application of peer learning methods to improve the quality of education.

Socio-cultural adaptation of Mental Health First Aid to insular religious communities: the case of ultra-Orthodox society in Israel

ABSTRACT Objective The introduction of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) in Israel has required a dynamic adaptation of the curriculum to the local social, cultural and religious context. The adaptation to the Jewish ultra-Orthodox community has been particularly rigorous and challenging. This article aims to analyse this process, its principles and steps, as well as the challenges and dilemmas it entails. Method The article employs a qualitative case study design, specifically, the instrumental case study. The adaptation procedure includes five steps: engaging local experts, organising focus groups, collaboration with communities, pilot testing in diverse communities, and iterative feedback loops. The article draws primarily on the perspectives of 45 community members, rabbis and health professionals who participated in four focus groups. Results The adaptation in ultra-Orthodox society addressed stigmatisation, silencing and concealment of mental health issues; gender segregation; educational gaps; and cultural misunderstandings of healthcare approaches. We demonstrate the need to modify the language, scenarios and examples in the curriculum, and engage with religious leaders and educational institutions. This process raises professional and ethical dilemmas, such as how MHFA should approach topics that remain unspoken in ultra-Orthodox communities. Discussion This case demonstrates that cultural adaptation is vital but may be insufficient. Attention should also be paid to social and structural forces, such as social hierarchies and systemic discrimination. A structurally competent approach should be adopted. This is the first case of accommodating MHFA for an insular religious group. It can contribute to adapting MHFA to other insular, encompassing, high-tension religious communities worldwide.

Peran Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) dalam Pengembangan Akhlak Anak

This literature research examines the role of the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) in the formation of children's morals in Indonesia. Through a systematic analysis of current literature, this research reveals TPQ's strategic position as a non-formal religious education institution that not only focuses on teaching the Koran but also plays an important role in instilling Islamic values and character formation. Factors influencing the effectiveness of TPQ were identified, including teacher quality, curriculum, family and community support, and program consistency. This research proposes a conceptual model for TPQ development that emphasizes a holistic approach, including an integrative curriculum, teacher competency development, active learning methods, a comprehensive evaluation system, and tri-centre educational partnerships. The main challenges in developing TPQ include quality standardization, limited resources, adaptation to social change, and synergy with formal education. Significant opportunities were also identified, including national policy support, increased public awareness, and potential technology integration. Policy and practice implications are formulated, including strengthening regulations, increasing teaching capacity, and innovating learning methods. This research concludes that TPQ has great potential to contribute to the formation of a generation with noble morals, but requires systematic and sustainable efforts from various stakeholders to realize this potential.

Revitalisasi Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an Al Mahri Desa Pedagangan Kec. Dukuhwaru Kab. Tegal

TPQ Al Mahri is a religious education institution which has an important role in shaping the character and spiritual intelligence of children in Pedagangan Village, Dukuhwaru District, Tegal Regency. However, in recent years, TPQ Al Mahri has faced challengers in terms of infrastructure, curriculum, and community involvement in managing TPQ, which has been in a vacuum for three years. This study aims to explore the condition of TPQ Al Mahri which has been experiencing problems in the teaching and curriculum sectors. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with various parties related to TPQ Al Mahri, participant observation, and document analysis. The results of the research show that with the presence of IBN Tegal KKN students, TPQ Al Mahri is revitalized so that teaching and learning activities run well and all of this cannot be separated from improving infrastructure, increasing the quality of curriculum, as well as strengthening the involvement of the trading village community through participatory programs. With the revitalization of IBN Tegal KKN students, it is hoped that TPQ Al Mahri can generation with noble character and broad knowledge in the Islamic religion.

Penggunaan Media Kartu Dalam Hafalan Surah-Surah Pendek Di TK/TPA Aqidah Palangka Raya

This service was carried out to introduce and use card media to remember the extent of memorization of short surahs of santriwan and santriwati in TK/TPA Aqidah Palangka Raya. And also with the use of this card media helps santriwan and santriwati in memorizing short surahs. Community service carried out directly by researchers at one of the Islamic religious education institutions, namely TK / TPA Aqidah Palangka Raya. With the existence of this card media can help children in remembering something that has been memorized before such as memorizing short surahs. The use of card media and this game, children will be honed in their ability to remember and be active in the classroom so that memorization that has been memorized continues to be remembered and memorization of these surahs can also be read when performing prayer services.

Peran Model Pembelajaran Futuristik dalam Kemajuan PAI di Pondok Pesantren

The concept of futuristic learning in the education sector is very important to produce Indonesian human resource products that can face the changing times. This requires educational institutions and educators to be able to create futuristic learning concepts which are expected to meet the needs of the educational process, especially Islamic religious education in this era. Among the most common Islamic religious educational institutions in Indonesia are Islamic boarding schools, some of which still use traditional methods. Combining futuristic learning models with traditional methods can create a dynamic and effective learning environment to advance Islamic religious education in Islamic boarding schools.

Penguatan Komunikasi Efektif : Pengabdian Masyarakat dalam Pengembangan Keterampilan Public Speaking Guru dan Instruktur di Pondok Pesantren

Effective communication is a crucial skill for educators, particularly in religious institutions like Pondok Pesantren. This community service project aimed to enhance the public speaking abilities of teachers and instructors at a Pondok Pesantren. Through interactive workshops and practical exercises, participants were trained in various aspects of public speaking, including voice modulation, body language, content organization, and audience engagement. The project emphasized the importance of clear and confident communication in imparting knowledge and religious teachings. Pre- and post-training evaluations showed significant improvements in the participants' public speaking skills, confidence levels, and teaching effectiveness. The project's success highlights the value of community service initiatives in promoting professional development and fostering a conducive learning environment within religious educational institutions

The quality of teaching and learning is a primary concern in the global higher education system, including in Indonesia This article highlights the efforts of Islamic religious higher education institutions in ensuring their quality meets established standards Quality assurance in education, as mandated by existing regulations, involves integrated efforts from various parties to enhance the nation's intelligence through education. However, improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia is still a challenge, especially in terms of accreditation results that show most universities are in criteria B and C. This article also discusses strategies and factors that encourage the improvement of higher education quality, focusing on strategies implemented by the Directorate of Islamic Higher Education. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of content and descriptive analysis support propositions and ideas in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. The strategies discussed include accreditation assistance and training in the preparation of internal quality assurance documents, as well as the importance of developing strategic plans and renop documents together. Effective implementation of the Renop relies on the clarity and accuracy of the Renstra, emphasizing the importance of both being developed on an ongoing basis. Through coordinated cooperation and internal efforts, it is hoped that universities can continue to improve their quality to support the development of quality education in Indonesia.

Curriculum is one of the important elements in education. It contains lesson content and other things needed in the teaching and learning process in an educational institution. Islamic boarding schools are one of the Islamic religious educational institutions which of course use an educational curriculum in them. Along with developments in time and technology, curriculum innovation is needed to create a generation that has the skills and knowledge needed to contribute actively to modern society.

Spiritual Formation in College and University: Do Students in Religious Higher Education Institutions Feel More Supported in Their Faith?

Enrollments in religious higher education institutions have increased in recent years. Leaders of these institutions often cite students’ desire to attend a college or university supportive of their faith as a reason for enrolling. However, limited research has been done on whether religious colleges and universities are more supportive of faith than secular institutions. We analyze a sample of private Christian school alumni and compare perceived faith support of students who attended a religious higher education institution with similar students who attended a secular institution. We find students of religious higher education institutions reported significantly higher levels of feeling supported (roughly 1.2 standard deviations) or strengthened in their faith (roughly 0.4 standard deviations) and significantly lower levels of feeling attacked for their faith (roughly 0.8 standard deviations). Differences are particularly pronounced for students who report having been a Christian for many years and for students who attend religious services weekly or more frequently.

Unlocking Success: Key Factors for International Mobility Program in Implementing the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka Curriculum

This article is based on research conducted at nationally accredited State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) in Indonesia, which have already begun implementing the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum. The informants serving as data sources consist of 15 students participating in the International Mobility Program (IMP). A qualitative case study gathered data from interviews, observations, and documentation. The research emphasizes that the determinants of IMP success in supporting the implementation of the MBKM curriculum consist of four aspects: 1) through the ability to adapt well to a new environment, students gain learning experiences outside the campus by adjusting and respecting cultural differences in the destination country; 2) through international language proficiency, students are increasingly trained to conduct high-quality research and communicate effectively creatively; 3) through their interest in challenges and adventures in foreign campuses, students confidently present in international forums; 4) through the transformation of a global perspective, students are motivated to pursue further studies abroad and intend to participate in international programs in the following years. Understanding and emphasizing these factors is crucial for optimizing the benefits derived from international mobility initiatives within the unique context of religious higher education institutions.

Prophetic Approach in Environmental Education and Community Empowerment: A Case Study of Sustainable Pesantren Development

Purpose: This study explores the application of the prophetic approach in community empowerment for the development of sustainable Pesantren. It aims to investigate how environmental education, integrated with Islamic teachings, can enhance human awareness and commitment to environmental preservation within the context of Pesantren. Method: The study is based on a case study of Pondok Pesantren Islam Modern (PPMI) Assalaam, utilizing qualitative research methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and direct observation. The analysis focuses on understanding the implementation of environmental education programs and the prophetic approach to community empowerment at PPMI Assalaam. Result and Conclusion: The concept of Green Pesantren at PPMI Assalaam involves integrating environmental education with Islamic teachings and social values, leading to a balanced education approach. Two main programs, the Adiwiyata Program and the Ekopesantren Program, are implemented to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the Pesantren community. The study finds that environmental awareness among the community members influences their beliefs, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, contributing to environmental preservation efforts. Additionally, community empowerment at PPMI Assalaam is based on environmental consciousness, community empowerment principles, and the prophetic approach, emphasizing not only physical and social development but also spiritual growth and deeper connections with God. This holistic approach enriches empowerment theory with transcendent elements, providing a profounder understanding of human development and societal change. Implication of the Research: The findings of this study have implications for environmental education and community empowerment initiatives within Pesantren and similar religious educational institutions. By integrating the prophetic approach, Pesantren can enhance their efforts in promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students and the broader community. Moreover, the study suggests that a holistic approach to community empowerment, encompassing spiritual and transcendent dimensions, can lead to more meaningful and sustainable societal change. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the understanding of how the prophetic approach can be applied to environmental education and community empowerment within the context of Pesantren. By integrating Islamic teachings with environmental principles, Pesantren can play a significant role in fostering environmental stewardship and sustainable development. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of considering spiritual dimensions in empowerment theory, offering new insights into holistic approaches to community development.

Holistic Curriculum Development in Islamic Religious Education Institutions in Primary Schools or Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

The era has experienced developments and changes in various fields. These developments and changes can affect changes in the education system. Nowadays, education has become an important part of social life, because education can change the quality of one's life. It can be proven that the higher the level of education, the more knowledge and experience a person has so that it is easier to solve life problems. One of the cornerstones of education is the curriculum, so when there are developments in various fields that can affect the education system, the curriculum is the same. Problems that arise in society also encourage changes in the education system. The curriculum is here to solve problems and meet the demands of society. The curriculum is designed to facilitate existing learning. This research uses qualitative research methods with the type of library study (library research), which is a method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research, collecting data by searching for sources and reconstructing from various sources such as books, journals, and existing research. The indicators of success include understanding the concept of Islam, applying the values of religious teachings in daily life, improving student behavior and attitudes, and improving the quality of individual character Developing a holistic curriculum for Islamic religious education in elementary schools or madrasah ibtidaiyah is an important step in developing balanced and moral individuals. This curriculum covers the development of all aspects of a person, including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. The implementation of a holistic curriculum requires the active role of teachers and the application of creative and interactive learning methods. The success of a holistic curriculum can be seen from the achievements of students in understanding religious concepts, applying religious education values, changing behavior and improving the quality of individual character. By developing a holistic curriculum, it is hoped that Islamic religious education can contribute to the formation of a pious national character.

The project of state transforma- tions by M.M. Speransky

The relevance of the research lies in the analysis of the transformation project of one of the outstanding reformers of the days of Alexander I, whose ideas were not duly appreciated, but could prevent serious upheavals in Russia during subsequent reigns. The problem is that changes proposed by Speransky’s would have laid the foundation for a deep reform of the country, however, not all projects were destined to be realized. The purpose of the research is to consider the transformation projects of Speransky M.M. and to analyze the degree of their implementation. The article used the retrospective and historical-genetic methods of historical research. The first allowed us to immerse ourselves in the events of the past, the second allowed us to analyze the degree of implementation of projects. The result of the research: many of Mikhail Mikhailovich’s proposals would subsequently be considered by the descendants of the winner of Napoleon Bonaparte, but then the Russian emperor considered the projects premature. Only the reform of religious educational institutions was one of the few that was implemented almost completely. The conclusion: Speransky’s proposals in the field of religious education were implemented more than all others examined in the research; among state reforms, only the State Council arose; as for tax reforms, only certain partial proposals of the reformer were implemented.

Strategi Kepala Madrasah dalam Meningkatkan Kompetensi Profesionalisme Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di MA Al Amin Malang

<p><em>This research aims to reveal the strategies used by the pricipal of Madrasah in increasing the competency and professionalism of Islamic religious education teachers at MA Al Amin Malang. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, observations, and analysis of related documents. The research results show that the Principal of Madrasah use various strategies, including continuous training and development, providing support and recognition, as well as ongoing coaching and supervision. These strategies aim to improve the quality of teaching and learning, inspire teacher motivation, and strengthen commitment to the profession. The implications of this research are the important role of the Principal in creating a work environment that is conducive to developing teacher professionalism, as well as the need for investment in ongoing training and coaching. This research was conducted over a period of time from July to December 2023. It is epected that this research can provide valuable input for the development of more effective school management policies and practices in Islamic religious education institutions.</em></p>

PERAN PONDOK PESANTREN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN MASYARAKAT DI ERA GLOBALISASI

This article aims to analyze the role of Islamic boarding schools in community development in the era of globalization. So far, Islamic boarding schools are known to be limited to traditional religious educational institutions with kyai and santri components. However, currently, Islamic boarding schools have made great progress in various ways, not only as traditional religious educational institutions but also as pioneers of social transformation. Therefore, this research is important as a vehicle for communicating to the government or the wider community about the role of Islamic boarding schools in their development. Community development is a fundamental concept that underlines many well-established terms such as resource development, rural community development, community economic development, rural revitalization and community-based development. The method used in this research uses a qualitative approach with the nature of library research with data collection techniques obtained through relevant literature: journals, textbooks and online literature. The research results show that the role of Islamic boarding schools has been implemented well in community development, which shows the quality of social relations and planned and gradual progress, such as improving public services and facilities, increasing local government accountability, increasing community participation, improving leadership, building new institutions, and initiate economic and physical development. Analysis of student satisfaction with the quality of academic library services at state Christian religious higher education institutions

This study aimed to obtain accurate information about the student satisfaction level with academic library services in State Christian Religious Higher Education institutions and to evaluate the performance of each attribute service. A quantitative approach involving descriptive statistical methods was used. For data collection, a questionnaire comprising 16 statements, validated by five experts, was employed and the data were gathered from 382 students across three participating State Christian Religious Higher Education institutions. The data analysis employed descriptive statistical methods and involved the use of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) formula and the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. The results showed that the percentage of overall student satisfaction level for academic library services was 66.24%, indicating students were largely content with these services. However, there was room for improvement in the performance of these services. This study identified certain service attributes such as internet accessibility, library collection, library catalog system, timeliness of library opening and closing, library staff readiness, and the speed of library staff in handling requests, which were found to provide low satisfaction levels to students. A comprehensive performance evaluation for each academic library service attribute resulted in a mapping visualized through the four quadrants of the Cartesian diagram. The management of the State Christian Religious Higher Education must develop various facilities for library operational support and also staff competencies to improve the academic library services.
