МЕТОДОЛОГИЯ РАЗРАБОТКИ И ФОРМИРОВАНИЯ РЕЙТИНГА ЭКОЛОГИЧЕСКОГО РАЗВИТИЯ РЕГИОНОВ РЕСПУБЛИКИ БЕЛАРУСЬ

The development of a rating for the environmental development of the regions of the Republic of Belarus is conditioned by the necessity of a comprehensive assessment of the environmental state of the country’s regions for the implementation of the state policy of the country in the field of sustainable development and improvement of environmental quality, as well as for increasing the efficiency of application of environmental instruments in the framework of international cooperation. Based on the analysis of international approaches to the formation and use of various environmental ratings, the concept of the rating of environmental development of the regions of Belarus at the level of administrative-territorial units (regions) and large cities (regional centers and the city of Minsk) has been developed, scientific and methodological approaches to the formation and maintenance of rating of ecological development. The ranking methodology is based on the ranking of regions according to a set of indicators grouped into three categories. For the rating of cities, 31 indicators were determined, for regions - 37 indicators, which allow for a comprehensive assessment of the current state of the components of the natural environment, the impact of the main types of economic activity on the environment and issues of the effectiveness of environmental policy at the regional level. The methodology for the rating of ecological development of regions was formalized in 2021 in the form of a technical regulatory legal act - TCP 17.02-19-2021 «Environmental Protection and Nature Management. Rating of ecological development of regions of the Republic of Belarus. Technical requirements». Scientific, methodological and practical support for the functioning of the rating of ecological development of regions will be carried out by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus. An annual update of the rating of regions and cities of the Republic of Belarus and the publication of rating data are provided. In 2021, RUE «Central Research Institute for Complex Use of Water Resources», based on the developed methodology, created the information resource «Ranking of the Environmental Development of the Regions of the Republic of Belarus», which allows automating the procedure for calculating the rating of the ecological development of the regions of Belarus, and calculated and compiled the environmental rating for 2020 year in the context of regional centers and the city of Minsk, the results of which are given in the article.

Helminths of wild ungulates living in different regions of Belarus

The purpose of the research is to study of the features of the fauna of wild ungulates helminths on the different regions of the Belarus.Materials and methods. The research was carried out in the State Research-Production Association "The ScientificallyPractical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for bio-resources" and in forestry farms of Belarus. The distribution of ungulates in winter was studied using winter route counts. GPS receivers were used for a reliable assessment of biotope confinement. We used the method of counting game animals by year-round mapping of encounters and tracks with the help of thermal imagers. To assess the seasonal distribution, the structure of the biocenosis was compared with the distribution of wild ungulate species on it. To assess the species selectivity of a certain biocenosis, the share of the species in the biotope and the share of this biotope in the farm were determined. The G-test was used to analyze the obtained materials. Animal feces were examined using the McMaster, sedimentation, and flotation methods.Results and discussion. It is determined that in the model forest areas, the red deer dominates in the structure of ungulates. Biotopes with stand density above 0.6 ungulates sem. Reindeer are used to an insignificant extent (K = -0.2, G = 42.7, P = 0.03). The biotopic distribution of roe deer in spring and autumn does not differ significantly (G = 116.7, P = 0.01). At this time, animals prefer areas with a predominance of broad-leaved species (D or.) (K = 0.86, G = 53.1, P < 0.01). During the rutting season, pinemoss forests are preferred (G = 37.4, P < 0.01). In the warm season, the red deer prefers forests with a predominance of pine trees in the stand (K = 0.6, G = 37.4, P < 0.01). Bilberry pine forests are preferred by females in spring and summer (adults and semi-adults) (K = 0.42, G = 32.4, P <0.01), males – mossy pine forests during the growing season (K = 0.22, G = 28.91, P = 0.03). In the parasitological situation in the red deer population, representatives of the Cestoda class are replaced by representatives of the Trematoda class. Representatives of the class Nematoda, genus Dictyocaulus sp. remain dominant. Representatives of the genus Strongylata, Trichostrongylus and Protostrongylus are constantly present. The genera Chabertia, Neoascaris, Cooperia are replaced, of the Nematoda class into the following genera: Oesophagostomum, Capillaria, Muellerius capillaris of the same class. The coefficient of common species composition of red deer and European roe worms is 46%, European roe and elk – 18, red deer and elk – 22%. On the territory of the Republic of Belarus, a rich species composition of helminths was revealed in European bison and a high degree of occurrence of helminths in this host. More than half of the animals in bison populations are carriers of infection with helminths: Belovezhskaya – 51.3, Polesskaya – 89.05%. Moreover, most of them have one type of helminths (from 50.0 to 66.7%) or two types of helminths (from 25.0 to 38.0%). Three or more types of helminths recorded simultaneously are rare. Representatives of the Nematoda class are 6 times superior to other classes of parasitic helminths (G = 39.8; Р < 0.01).

Spatial features of the risk of oncological diseases in the territory of the Gomel and Mogilev regions of Belarus

The article presents the results of the cartographic analysis of the Belarusian Cancer Registry data, including the spatial features of morbidity due to cancer in different sex and age groups of the rural population. The maps, characterizing the features of the spatial heterogeneity of the oncological diseases (OD) in the Gomel and Mogilev regions of Belarus, were built for the first time. The performed mapping revealed the anomalous zones, representing the groups of compactly located rural settlements, for which the OD level (including OD of different localizations observed in both men and women) differs by a factor of 4 or more. The assessed differences in the OD risk are statistically significant. On this basis, we infer that the anomalous zones in the territory of Belarus, in any case, demonstrate both a high spatial contrast of OD manifestation and regular spatial organization. These confirm the hypothesis about a relationship between the OD risk and the environmental parameters and, in turn, allow a reasonable conclusion about the endemic nature of cancer as a provoked “human disease”. We consider that the detected zones of positive and negative anomalies must have significant ecological and geochemical differences. Therefore, they should be recognized as the objects of priority control since the population living in the high-risk areas undoubtedly needs priority screening and applying the corresponding preventive measures.

STATISTICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE ECONOMIC RESILIENCE OF THE REGIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

The article discusses the main approaches to the definition of a relatively new term for economic science - economic resilience of territories. The author made an attempt to assess the level of economic resilience of the regions of Belarus on the basis of the 2015-2016 recession resistance index. and the index of recovery of economic dynamics in the post-recession period (2017-2019). This is the first time an analytical work of this level has been carried out in Belarus. It has been established that the central regions of the country - Minsk and the Minsk region - have high economic resilience. The author outlines the prospects for the use and methodological problems of assessing the economic resilience of regions in statistical science.

The Formation and Structure of the Judenräte in the Occupied Territory of the Vitebsk Region (Within Present-day Borders), 1941–1943

ABSTRACT Although officially designated as representative, self-governing bodies, the Jewish councils (Judenräte) set up in Nazi-controlled territories were essentially tasked with carrying out orders issued by the regime, with at best limited possibilities of mitigating harmful measures against the Jews. This essay, which describes and also notes differences between the Judenräte in eastern and western areas of the present-day Vitebsk region of Belarus, is based on data from Belarusian, Russian, and Israeli archives, supplemented by witness testimonies collected by the author. 1

Зарождение позднепротестантского движения в Беларуси в конце XIX - начале ХХ в.

The end of the 19th - the beginning of the 20th century is a period of upsurge in the Evangelic movement: the number of supporters is gradually increasing, their activities are becoming more active and becoming institutionalized, at the beginning of the century new Protestant beliefs appear in America. Gradually, the rise of the Evangelic movement more and more covers European countries, and the Belarusian lands participate in the global process of the spread and development of late Protestantism. On the basis of documentary archival sources, the author analyzes the process of the emergence of Baptist, Evangelical Christians, Adventists and others Evangelicals in the context of the religious policy of the Russian Empire, as well as in the conditions of Soviet politics in the BSSR and Polish policy on the territory of Western Belarus. The article notes that the process of the emergence of new Evangelic denominations in the late 19th - early 20th century in the western regions of Belarus takes place later than in the eastern ones. The later development of Baptism and other late Protestant denominations in Western Belarus was primarily associated with the spread of Evangelicals through the Western Ukrainian, Polish and Baltic lands, in contrast to the eastern part of Belarus, which has close ties with Russian lands and experienced a stronger influence of Russian Protestantism at the end of the 19th century. Geopolitical and political changes that took place during the First World War and Russian revolutions, in particular the establishment of the Soviet regime and the conclusion of the Riga Peace Treaty, according to which the territories of Belarus were divided into two parts, became the main trigger and played a decisive role in the development of the Evangelical movement. Firstly, in connection with the division of Belarus into western and eastern parts, the annexation of Western Belarus to Poland, active anti-religious campaigns in Soviet Russia and the creation of the “Iron Curtain” in 1929, the organizational orientation of Western Belarusian communities to the West changed. Secondly, geopolitical transformations and differentiation of the strategy of religious policy in the BSSR and in Western Belarus, the development processes of the movement predetermined the formation of the modern landscape of the evangelical movement - a pronounced religiosity of the western region and the presence of a large number of religious communities and a gradual decrease in these indicators towards the eastern border of Belarus.

Фольклор белорусско-русского пограничья о магических специалистах (по материалам фольклорно-этнографических экспедиций 2010-х гг.)

The study is based on the material of folklore and ethnographic expeditions of 2013–2018 to the Smolensk and Bryansk regions of Russia and the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions of Belarus, in terms of the international project “Belarusian-Russian ethnocultural interaction in a transboundary perspective”. The author considered a complex of folklore texts (mythological stories, prohibitions, prescriptions) and practices associated with various characters, positioned as magic specialists — sorcerers, folk healers, fortune-tellers. The paper presents local nominations of magic specialists, the actions they perform, the principles of folk classification of such characters, highlights the key motifs of narratives about them and the social functions of spreading such stories. The author introduces similar materials from other regions — both geographically close (Polessye) and geographically more remote (Russian North, Siberia) — to identify the local (actually borderline) specifics. An analysis of the expeditionary data shows that the principles of separating harmful and helping magical specialists are situationally determined: one should not talk about the existence of two clearly defined classes of characters in the folklore tradition of the borderline, but rather about perceptions according to which there are people endowed with magical abilities, capable — depending, for example, from personal likes and dislikes — both harm and help. The data of modern expeditions to the Belarusian-Russian borderland demonstrate the stability of traditional folklore motifs in stories about magical specialists and their performance has significant functions of social regulation in small communities.

Mammals from Belarus in the collections of natural history museums of Ukraine

A review of collection samples of mammals received from the territory of Belarus (within its modern borders) and stored in natural museums of Ukraine is given. Information on the materials of 5 museums is summarized – Dybowski Zoological Museum at Lviv National University (ZMD), Zoological Museum of Kyiv National University (ZMKU), Museum of Nature at the Kharkiv University (MNKU), State Natural History Museum of NASU (Lviv, SNHM) and National Museum of Natural History of NAS of Ukraine (Kyiv, NMNH). Within the latter, two (out of three available) collections were studied – the collections of the Department of Zoology (NNPM-z) and the Department of Museology (NNPM-m). Samples from Belarus were found in the collections of ZMD (5 specimens), SMNH (2 sp.), NMNH-z (68 sp.), NMNH-p (36 sp.), NMNH-m (7 sp.), MNKU (3 sp.). In total, there are 121 specimens of 13 mammal species in the collections. The number of samples is dominated by rodents, in particular Spermophilus suslicus (61 sp.), Sus scrofa (31 sp.) and Sylvaemus tauricus (7 sp.). Ancient specimens predominate (1885–1915), among which specimens from the collection of O. Brauner (NNPM) dominate. Certain groups of mammals appear in collections only in the last period of accumulation of collections, in particular murine rodents (collections of the 1990s). The largest number of samples was collected in the southern and western regions of Belarus within the Brest, Minsk, Grodno and Gomel oblasts. The most diverse are the collections from the vicinities of Mozyr in the Gomel oblast, mostly samples from the Brauner's collections of 1900–1915, which are now stored in the NNPM. The oldest are the samples of the black rat (Rattus rattus) from the collections of Benedykt Dybowski in 1885 in the family estates of Vojnov and Niankov of the Novogrudok district of the Grodno oblast. The most valuable is a sample of 61 skulls of ground squirrels Spermophilus odessanus (suslicus s. lato), collected during 1947–1954 in different districts of Brest, Grodno and Minsk oblasts. The series Sylvaemus tauricus from Central Polissia (7 sp.), collected in the 1990-1995 and transferred to the NNPM, is also significant.

Housing security as an indicator of the living environment

Housing is one of the core values that provide citizens with a sense of economic stability and security, as well as stimulate them to work productively. Housing is an important element of the quality of the living environment in Belarus. There is a problem in the republic of providing the population with comfortable and affordable housing. The identified regional differences in housing security, both between countries and between regions within the country, are due to the fact that different territories have a number of socio-economic, natural-geographical and ecological characteristics, which include: – within the country, this is the difference in the economic and geographical position of agricultural regions in terms of soil fertility for the cultivation of certain agricultural crops; radioactive contamination of certain territories of Belarus, the level of their development; – the difference between the countries is explained by different levels of social and economic development of territories, living standards of the population, differences in the development of the banking and financial and credit spheres, the industry of the regions, information transparency of the housing sector, and a number of other factors. This was confirmed using the index analysis of housing security of the population of the regions of Belarus and the cluster analysis of the aggregate of the CIS countries.

The article presents the main historical milestones associated with the emergence, formation and functioning of institutions of civil and military health care in the Lida region of Belarus over the past 200 years. Including the formation 100 years ago of the Lida city hospital and 80 years ago of the military hospital No. 671 (Lida).

Economic, environmental and social assessment of the competitiveness of the regions of Belarus from the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals

The author’s methodology for assessing the competitiveness of the regions of the Republic of Belar­us by economic, environmental, social blocks, taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals, is presented. The novelty lies in the complex determination of the competitiveness of the regions, reflecting the economic, environmental and social situation. Indicators are proposed for calculating the integral index and rating assessment of the level of competitiveness in the context of three blocks, not only for the analyzed regions, but also for the republic, taking into account the influence of external and internal factors in order to ensure sustainable development.

Levels of changes in the genus Pinus Linné in the composition of Mesozoic and Cenozoic flora and vegetation as an additional criterion for the division of sediments by the Mesozoic and Cenozoic of Ukraine


 
 
 
 The article presents an analysis of a large array of results of palynological studies of Mesozoic and Cenozoic sediments of Ukraine and adjacent regions of Belarus and Russia. Numerous literature data on the palynological characteristics of Meso-Cenozoic sediments and the materials of the authors are summarized according to the results of spore-pollen analysis of Mesozoic and Cenozoic sediments within the main tectonic structures of Ukraine. It has been established that the genus Pinus (Pinaceae) is an integral part of the Meso-Cenozoic flora of Ukraine. Although, the participation in the flora and vegetation of the genus Pinus and its species diversity in different periods of geological time were different. Despite the long history and significant achievements of palynological research of Meso-Cenozoic sediments of Ukraine, no attention has been paid to the historical aspect of Pinus development in the Meso-Cenozoic flora. This work is presented as the first stem to fill this gap. The genus Pinus has a large stratigraphic range, but its species diversity and quantitative changes in the composition of Mesozoic and Cenozoic flora of different ages are markedly different. The analysis of these changes made it possible to trace the emergence and main levels at which the species composition was renewed and the role of Pinus in flora increased during the Mesozoic and Cenozoic. According to the results of the research, 5 levels of increasing the participation of the genus Pinus and changes in its species affiliation in the Mesozoic flora were established: Aalenian period of the Middle Jurassic (appearance of the first representatives of Pinus); Oxfordian time of the Late Jurassic; Valanginian – Early Barremian times of the Early Cretaceous; Albian time of the Early Cretaceous; Late Campanian time of the Late Cretaceous. 5 levels of increasing the role of Pinus and its species diversity for the flora and vegetation of the Cenozoic were also established: Oligocene time of the Paleogene, Konkian-early Sarmatian time of the Middle Miocene; early Pontian (Ivankov) time of the Late Miocene; early Kimmerian time (early Sevastopol) of the Early Pliocene and Martonosha time of the Early Neopleistocene. Certain levels have been traced for the similar age of Cenozoic flora of Belarus and Russia.
 
 
 

Адметныя лексемы, звязаныя з сельскай і хатняй гаспадаркай (на прыкладзе гаворак Брэсцкай вобласці)

Field research conducted in the Brest region of Belarus reveals many synonyms in dialect vocabulary related to agriculture and the household (this is the most ancient and archaic vocabulary). But many lexical facts that exist in the speeches of the Brest region of Belarus have not been introduced into scientific use, therefore, the attention of researchers to this topic is not accidental. The most obvious distribution of lexical facts can be shown by regional linguistic geography. Therefore, the article contains linguistic maps based on the analysis of numerous linguistic materials recorded by the author himself in about 70 rural settlements of the Brest region. Distinctive lexemes, which are introduced into scientific use for the first time, once again confirm the conclusions of previous researchers about the linguistic richness of the studied region (and the whole Polesie) and can significantly expand the factual basis of Slavic dialectology.

The work is devoted to the partisan movement on the territory of the western regions of Belarus and modern Eastern Poland in 1939-1944. The national and social composition of the fighters of the armed formations of the partisans is characterized. The article describes the participation of Polish detachments of the Home Army, Slovak, German and Jewish anti-fascists in the guerrilla war. The facts of the frontline battles of those years are noted, examples of the effectiveness and activity of partisan formations are given.

The effect of fumaric acid, dipromonium and vitamin C on the productivity of sows

The article presents the results of the effect of fumaric acid, dipromonium and vitamin C on productivity, physiological state and natural resistance of sows. The scientific and economic experience was carried out at the pig-breeding complex with a production capacity of 27 thousand heads “Voskhod” in the Mogilev region of Belarus. Forty primiparous gilts were divided into four groups (n = 10): a control and three experimental groups. Experimental gilts received basal diet supplemented with fumaric acid (4.0 g/kg of dry matter), dipromonium (0.4 g/kg) or vitamin C (0.1 g/kg) from 1 to 20 d of lactation. The animals of the control group did not receive the indicated preparation. The use of additives contributed to an increase in the milk yield of pigs, the viability of piglets and their growth rate by 21.1-30.0% (P<0.05), 6.0-6.6 and 10.0-27.9%, respectively, as well as influenced the morphological, biochemical and immunological parameters of the blood of pigs and their progeny.

CLINICAL PARAMETERS OF MULTIPLE MYELOMA PROGRESSION IN RESIDENTS OF THE GOMEL REGION OF BELARUS

To study clinical parameters of multiple myeloma progression in residents of the Gomel region of Belarus The study included 159 MM patients who were examined at the State Institution “Republican Research Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology”, Gomel from 2018 to 2021. The average age was 62. Female patients prevailed and amounted 57.1%. MM was diagnosed according to international criteria. The criteria for progression were determined when new foci of destruction or extramedullary lesions appeared, and at an increase in the number of plasma cells in the bone marrow&gt; 10%. Progression was in 10.7%(17). No differences in the immunological variant of MM. CD20 expression&gt;20% was found 6.18 more often in progressed patients (p=0.0001). CD56&gt;20% was 2.37 more common at progression (p=0.006). CD117&gt;20% was 2.34 more often at progression, (p=0.116). M-protein&gt;15 g/l was 6.22 more often at progression (p = 0.0001). Abnormal κ/λ was in 81.3% at progression (p=0.027). LDH was different (p=0.023). Kidney damage and destructive syndrome did not affect progression (p=0.797). Identification of markers of progression at the initial examination, such as excess expression of CD20&gt; 20%, CD56&gt; 20%, excess of M-protein&gt; 15 g/l, abnormal κ/λ ratio can predetermine the outcome of the disease. Our findings are consistent with the literature data, but much remains unclear, for instance, cases with normal LDH values in patients with progression. This gives rise to future research.

Breast cancer risk in residents of Belarus exposed to Chernobyl fallout while pregnant or lactating: standardized incidence ratio analysis, 1997 to 2016.

Pregnancy and lactation may constitute radiation-sensitive reproductive periods due to rapid cell proliferation and concentration of radioiodine in the lactating breast. However, there are limited epidemiological data among women exposed to radiation during these periods. We examined incidence of breast cancer in a cohort of 3214 women who were pregnant and/or lactating within 2 months (26 April to 30 June 1986) of the Chernobyl accident and residing in contaminated regions of Belarus. There were 33 breast cancers identified through linkage with the Belarusian National Cancer Registry. Breast cancer rates among women who were either pregnant and/or lactating were compared with population rates by calculating standardized incidence ratios (SIR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) adjusting for attained age, oblast, urban/rural residence and calendar year. Among women who were lactating, we found a greater than 2-fold increased risk of breast cancer compared with the general population, SIR = 2.49 (95% CI: 1.55, 3.75). In contrast, women who were pregnant were not at increased risk (SIR = 0.84 95% CI: 0.46, 1.38). The SIR was highest in women who were exposed at a younger age and at the earliest time period since the accident, though stratified analyses had limited sample sizes. We found a significantly increased risk of breast cancer among women residing in contaminated areas of Belarus who were lactating at the time of the accident and may have had elevated exposure to radioiodine, when compared with the general population. Studies of breast cancer with individual radiation dose estimates among women exposed during lactation are warranted.

P-033: Significant markers in the progression of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance in residents of Gomel region of Belarus

<h3>Background</h3> The course of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is often associated with a high risk of its transformation into malignant lymphoplasmacytic diseases. We have reviewed some of the markers most commonly encountered in patients with progression. <h3>Methods</h3> The study included 159 MG patients with a median age of 61.0 (25% and 75% - 54.0 and 67.0), of which 102 women were observed at the SI "RRCRM&HE" in 2018-2021. The average percentage of tumor plasma cells in the bone marrow was 2.7% (range 0-10%). The presence of clonal cells was detected in 13.2% with IHC. The immunochemical variant with immunoglobulin IgG was in 38.9% of patients, IgA in 7.5% and IgM in 19%; biclonal gammopathy was found in 22% of patients. The LC type kappa or lambda was found in 26.4% of patients. <h3>Results</h3> During the observation period, disease progression was recorded in 17 MGUS patients. The age of patients over 65 at the time of diagnosis was not significantly associated with the risk of progression (p = 0.114). Hemoglobin level less 120 g/l was determined in 31.4% of patients. In each case, the anemia was induced by causes other than plasma cell proliferation, such as iron deficiency, renal failure. Among MGUS patients who progressed over the observation period, the variant with IgM secretion was 2.46 times more frequent than among patients without progression (p = 0.096, [0.79-11.39]). In patients with the phenotype of tumor cells containing CD20> 20%, disease progression developed in 46.7% of cases, which is 4.73 times more often than in patients without this marker (p = 0.0001, OR 7.98 (95 % CI [2.29-27.86]). Moreover, 80% of the progressed patients with CD20> 20% were with IgM secretion. An excess of CD56> 20% was detected 1.62 times more often in patients with disease progression. When studying CD117 and CD200, it was found that exceeding their level> 20% was more often determined in patients with progression, although the differences were insignificant (p = 0.584, OR 1.64 (95% CI [0.27-9.89]) for CD200 > 20% and p=0.116, OR 2.83 (95% CI [0.74-10.78]) for CD117> 20%). Progression to MM was more frequently observed in patients with secretion of IgG, IgA and CD56> 20%. An increase in the level of LDH> 280 U/L was observed 4.43 times more often in patients with progression (p = 0.011, OR 5.67 (95% CI [1.32-24.39]). An abnormal ratio of light chains was detected in 85.7% of cases in patients with progression, which is 1.54 times more often than in patients without progression (p = 0.033, OR 4.80 (95% CI [1.01-22.84]). <h3>Conclusion</h3> The study results have demonstrated that immunophenotypic markers (CD20, CD56 CD117), increased LDH level, immunoglobulin light chain ratio distortion can be useful for predicting the onset of disease progression from MGUS to multiple myeloma or other lymphoplasmacytic tumors in individual patients.

Assessment of the risks of sustainable development of the Regions of Belarus

The relevance of the topic is due to the need to anticipate the risks of sustainable development of the regions of Belarus. Purpose: risk assessment of the sustainable development of the regions of Belarus. Methods – analysis, synthesis, comparisons, rankings, tabular, graphical. Results of work: study of comparative methodological approaches to assessing the risks of sustainable development of regions. Adaptation of methods of regional risk ranking to the plane of their quantitative measurement. Development of a methodological approach to ranking potential threats to spatial development based on average values. Identification of the most significant types of risks that limit the possibilities of sustainable development of territories. Conclusions: the analysis of the literature sources revealed the advantages and disadvantages of methodological approaches to assessing the risks of sustainable development of regions. Structuring and quantitative assessment of the risks of sustainable development of the territories of Belarus allowed us to solve two main tasks: to identify the most problematic areas of development of the regions and rank them based on the identified factors. A register of risks of sustainable spatial development has been compiled, which allows specifying the directions of their prevention in the context of the studied territories.
