1. Operating units in the synchronous condenser regime is one of the factors in decreasing energy losses in power systems and increasing the reliability of their operation. 2. The use of the units at a hydrostation in a SC regime reduces the deficit of reactive power (or its surplus), increases the degree of compensation of the reactive load, and improves the quality of the electric power being supplied. 3. It seems expedient to stimulate the personnel at hydrostations to regulate the voltage level efficiently and to operate the units in a SC regime.
