Novel reaction of sulfonyl azides with fosphine sulfides

(4-Methoxyphenyl)di(pyrrolidin-1-yl)phosphine sulfides were synthesized by reaction of Lausson’s reagent with cyclic amines. It was shown for the first time that phosphine sulfides react with aryl sulfonylazides when boiled in 1,4-dioxane with the elimination of nitrogen and elemental sulfur molecules and the formation of previously undescribed dicycloaminophosphoranylidene sulfonamides.

A microwave-assisted new synthesis of sulfonylidene–sulfonamide via reactions of N-sulfonylketenimine and sodium arylsulfinates

ABSTRACTA rapid practical microwave-assisted new synthesis of sulfonylidene–sulfonamide was developed via the one-pot, three-component reaction of sulfonyl azides, terminal alkynes, and sodium arylsulfinates catalyzed by copper(I) iodide in DMF in moderate to good yields.

Copper‐Catalyzed Efficient Multicomponent Reaction: Synthesis of Benzoxazoline‐Amidine Derivatives

AbstractWe have developed an efficient copper‐catalyzed method for the synthesis of the benzoxazoline‐amidine derivatives. The protocol uses inexpensive copper(I) iodide as the catalyst, and furnished the expected product in good to excellent yields by a three‐component reaction of sulfonyl azides, terminal alkynes and Schiffs’ bases in terahydrofuran (THF) at room temperature for 8 h in the presence of triethylamine. This novel synthetic protocol is selective, efficient and general. A plausible mechanism for this process is proposed.
