The President, Dr. Ralston Paterson, and his management committee can look back with justifiable pride upon a memorable week in the story of world Radiology. The week has been gratifying especially to those who value the prestige of Britain abroad, a prestige that in some fields has seemed to burn a little unsteadily of late. Our many overseas friends have gone their various ways with, we have reason to believe, a very happy recollection of an event which was as delightful socially as it was stimulating scientifically.On the afternoon of July 23 when nearly 3000 members and associates converged upon the registration room of the Central Hall it became apparent that the most careful planning and forethought had gone into the arrangements. Willing and cheerful voluntary helpers aided by clear sign-posting dealt quickly with the stream of visitors in an atmosphere that evoked memories of a busy European railway terminus. The reception later given by the Ladies' Committee at the Caxton Hall was a happy augury for the week that followed.
