Study of propagation of high-altitude acoustic pulse from underground and surface explosions, earthquakes is of interest, as -these waves can affect ionosphere. Besides, these investigations allow to work out ionospheerc methods of control of explosions and earthquakes. To investigate the propagation of acoustic pulse from the earth surface through the atmosphere to high-altitude it is necessary to know an initial shape and the evolution model of acoustic pulse. Using Mill Race explosion measurements, we developed model to describe the propagation of an acoustic pulse from the initial wavefront to the ionospheric altitude and analytic shape of initial acoustic pulse (modified Reed's shape). Model calculations were compared with acoustic parachute (for altitude about 10 km) and Doppler shift measurements (for altitude from 150 to 260 km) during Mill Race experiment. The results of this comparison has shown that our calculations are more adequate to experiment than the same theoretical calculations of other authors.
