My favorite piece of music is Beethoven's 6th Symphony; it is simply beautiful. My favorite motto is “less is more”. What I look for first in a publication are the schemes, the abstract, and the conclusion. When I'm frustrated, I usually go for a bike ride in the countryside. The most significant scientific advance of the last 100 years has been without a doubt the development of computers. The most important thing I learned from my parents is to think well, do well, and feel well. If I could have dinner with three famous scientists from history, they would be Niels Bohr, Dmitri Mendeleev, and Charles Darwin. And I would ask them what scientists should do in the second half of the 21st century. I can never resist adding another new molecule to my collection.
