TEACHER CAREER DEVELOPMENT LAW IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA A CASE STUDY OF PUBLIC TEACHER DEVELOPMENT IN INDONESIA

The spreading of the Covid-19 pandemic to many countries in the world since December 2019, including Indonesia, has made teaching and learning policies happen online. This creates many challenges, including the career development of teachers, especially in public schools. This must be handled considering that the positions filled with potential are based on the subjectivity of the leadership, and performance in government agencies must be objective and based on results with measurable quantity and quality. Based on the normative juridical study, two conclusions were drawn. First, developing a teaching career during the Covid-19 pandemic requires individual abilities and emotional maturity of above-average levels to make quick, accurate, and accountable decisions. Second, to produce maximum organizational performance, the government must regulate the concept of teacher career development whose quantity and quality are measurable, such as an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).

Business Strategy in Market Development of Cookies Company (Case Study: MC Cookies by IN Cookies)

PT. ABC is a company located in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, the largest producer of homemade cookies in Indonesia with a well-known brand, IN Cookies. The company has been established for more than 30 years, making PT. ABC is the market leader in the homemade cookies industry in Indonesia.According to the annual report from 2019 to 2020, more than 40% of the company's annual revenue comes from Ramadan and the month of Eid al-Fitr. The company wants to increase sales outside of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, thus creating a new brand, MC Cookies by IN Cookies. However, at this time, the company's product sales depend on existing distributors. Distributors have the habit of selling only during the Eid season. This also applies to MC Cookies by IN Cookies. Thus, this research was conducted to find the appropriate business strategy to increase sales outside the Eid season for MC Cookies by IN Cookies.This study uses SWOT analysis and business formulation is carried out using three stages, namely The Input Stage (Stage 1) consisting of the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) Matrix and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix, The Matching Stage (Stage 2) consisting of SWOT Matrix and Internal-External (IE) Matrix. The Decision Stage (Stage 3) consists of the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).The Matching Stage Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) Matrix results, that the position of MC Cookies by IN Cookies is in cell 2, meaning a grow and build strategy consisting of an intensive strategy and an integrative strategy. However, according to the discussion results and in-depth interview, the strategy chosen to enter the decision stage is an intensive strategy (market penetration, product development, market development). Then the result of The Decision Stage Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) is that the appropriate business strategy for MC Cookies by IN Cookies is market development.The chosen market development strategy is to create a new customer segment and a new reseller system specifically for MC Cookies by IN Cookies. It is expected to increase sales outside Ramadan and Eid El-Fitr. A Market Development Business Strategy of Eco-Friendly Craft From Palm Oil Stand Waste in Rokan Hilir, Riau

This study aims to produce an analysis of the strategic position of the market development of the palm oil sticks waste craft industry and to determine an analysis of alternative strategies for the development of the palm-oil sticks waste craft market in Rokan Hilir Riau. This research method uses the QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) method. The results of the QSPM analysis in this study to the formulation of alternative design strategies. Determine what, how, when, where and who runs QSPM. This study indicates that IFAS and EFAS are in the quadrant II position with coordinate values between 2.00 – 2.99. This position indicates that the palm-oil stick waste craft industry in Rokan Hilir Riau is positively strong. However, it faces significant challenges, so it must be managed with a market development strategy. While the results of the QSPM analysis show that the priority of alternative market development strategies is to increase the value of product uniqueness, product added value, knowledge capabilities, and craftsman skills. The industry is advised to increase its tactical strategy variations in demanding challenges. The business challenges are marketing, business network, technological innovation, and capital issues. The improvement of production facilities and infrastructure and increasing knowledge and skills of diversified processing artisans increase the unique value of the product and the added value of the product being more different than competitors. The research implications contribute to determining the market development strategy and theoretical implications related to the market development strategy concept. Marketing Strategy Analysis Using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) to Increase Sales Furniture

Sarah's furniture trade company is a company that manufactures industrial furniture such as cabinets, chairs, and tables. Sarah's Furniture Trading Business's concern is that the company's revenues from 2019 to 2020 declined owing to internal and external factors. The goal of this research is to discover the marketing strategy employed by the Sarah Furniture Trading Business, as well as how the marketing strategy employs the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix approach to enhance sales at the Sarah Furniture Trading Business. Sarah's furniture trade business received a total score of 22.75 based on the IFE matrix analysis, while the EFE matrix analysis received a score of 18.48. Sarah's furniture trading business IE matrix findings are in the V quadrant, with an IFE matrix of 22.75 and an EFE of 18, 48, indicating that the company may overcome it through product quality, product market development, and market penetration methods. The SWOT matrix study produced nine strategies from which Sarah's furniture trade business may choose. The highest prioritized alternative strategy, according to the QSPM matrix, is to maintain product quality with a TAS score of 12.

DETERMINATION OF DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY WITH APPLICATION OF QUANTITATIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING MATRIX (QSPM) IN ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) SYSTEM COMPANY’S SNELL X

Marketing is one of the most important instruments in doing business, because marketing is the cornerstone of buying and selling transactions. Meanwhile, in the digital era, there have been several adjustments to marketing strategies according to market needs and behavior. Snell X is a company engaged in ERP system implementation services in companies. In developing its business, Snell X needs to do digital marketing. The method that is used on this research is the analysis of the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), this analysis includes internal and external factors which then to be examined by numbers and ratings. The other tool that will be used is QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) instruments which then examined based on what is found on SWOT matrix. Through these instruments, Snell X can determine their digital marketing strategies precisely and accurately. This research helps companies to develop digital marketing that will be carried out to build a brand image for customers. This research shows the significance of product and service development in Snell X’s advertising is rather important compared to market development.

Determination of Alternative Strategies for the Development of Tanjung Kelayang Area as a Sustainable Tourist Area, Indonesia

Tanjung Kelayang tourist area has beautiful natural potential to be developed as a famous tourist destination and become a superior destination in Belitung. Since the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the decrease in the number of tourists visiting. To revive the tourism sector in Tanjung Kelayang, research is needed to encourage sustainable tourism development, taking into account economic, ecological and social aspects. This research aims to determine the priority of sustainable and adaptive tourist destination development strategies to disasters in Belitung Regency. The method used to establish priority strategies using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) method is also supported by the Matrix IE method and SWOT Analysis. The data used in the study was obtained from library search results, questionnaires, interviews, observations and FGD involving stakeholders. Based on the IE matrix, the position of tanjung kelayang tourist destinations in cell IV is to grow and build (growand build) with a total value of IFE 3,131 and and and a total value of EFE 2,496Tiga strategy that is the priority with the highest value is designing a strong tanjung kelayang icon / branding (7,635), refocusing tanjung kelayang marketing strategy (7,420), optimization of tourism supporting infrastructure in the internal tourist area and towards the tourist area (7,290).

Promotion Strategy to Increase Room Occupancy during the Covid-19 Pandemic

ABSTRACT
 Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify the suitable promotion strategy that can be implemented to increase room occupancy during the Covid-19 pandemic at Pramana Watu Kurung Resort Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
 Research methods: Data collection methods used are participation observation, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The questionnaire was distributed to 10 informants from the head of department who were determined by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis, SWOT analysis, Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS), External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS), Internal-External Matrix (IE), SWOT Matrix, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis.
 Findings: The internal factors with IFAS score 2,71 and external factors with EFAS score 2,05 can be known if the current position of promotion strategy in cell V, which is in the growth and stability with horizontal integration. SWOT analysis resulted in 8 alternative promotion strategies with a suitable promotion strategy that can be implemented to increase room occupancy during the Covid-19 pandemic is to collaborate with competitors with the highest TAS (Total Attractive Score) value, 144.67 that obtained from QSPM analysis.
 Implication: Pramana Watu Kurung Resort Ubud must do collaborate with competitors as a suitable promotion strategy to increase room occupancy. The collaboration aims to create profits through sharing the resources of each company to reduce costs and create new innovations.

Marketing Communication Model to Enhance Hotel Brand Image

ABSTRACT
 Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the position of the marketing communication model implemented to improve the brand image of The Kayon Jungle Resort, Bali, Indonesia, and to determine the alternative marketing communication model that should be applied by the Sales and Marketing Department in improving the brand image of the hotel.
 Research methods: The analytical technique used is the mixed method design of Sequential Exploratory; Internal Factor Summary Matrix (IFAS), External Factor Analysis Summary Matrix (EFAS), Internal-External Matrix (IE), SWOT Analysis, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).
 Results and discussion: The results of the IFAS matrix analysis show that the main strengths are reviews and comments left by guests on the internet, as well as having a distinctive and unique room, restaurant, swimming pool, yoga pavilion, and gym, while the main weaknesses are a lack of variety and intensity of sales promotion activity. According to the results of the EFAS matrix analysis, the main opportunity is the Policy to maintain guest privacy, safety, and comfort by The Kayon Jungle Resort management, while the main threat is the Intensity of beneficially campaign.
 Implication: The Kayon Jungle Resort is in the Growth Strategy (Cell I) position according to the results of the IE matrix analysis. The SWOT analysis results in nine alternative marketing communication strategies, three of which are prioritized and calculated by the QSPM matrix with a total TAS of 303.72, 298.05, and 287.31.

STRATEGI PEMASARAN GUNA MENINGKTKAN DAYA SAING PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 (STUDI KASUS DI TANI JIWO HOSTEL BANJARNEGARA)

The purpose of this study is to find out what marketing strategies are best used by Tani Jiwo Hostel during the Covid-19 pandemic. The management who became the sample in this study amounted to 5 people, while the consumers who were the samples in this study were some visitors within 1 month who had visited Tani Jiwo Hostel. This research uses External Internal Matrix (IE), Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat Matrix (SWOT) and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The IE and SWOT matrices are used to plan alternative strategies, while the QSPM matrix is used to determine priority strategies. The results showed that the strategies that could be applied were market penetration strategies, market development strategies, and product/service development strategies

Strategi Digital Fundraising Dalam Penghimpunan Dana Zakat: Studi Kasus Lembaga Amil Zakat Global Zakat

This study analyzes the digital fundraising strategy in collecting zakat at the Global Zakat Amil Zakat Institute. The purpose of this study is to determine the digital fundraising strategy used by LAZ Global Zakat in supporting the collection of zakat funds and to formulate a digital fundraising strategy at LAZ Global Zakat. This study uses descriptive research methods with quantitative and qualitative study approaches. A case study approach to analyzing digital fundraising strategies in collecting zakat funds using SWOT Matrix analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and IE Matrix (Internal-External Matrix) and determining strategy using Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). From these results, an implementation strategy is proposed. The results of this study are the digital fundraising strategy used by LAZ Global Zakat using two methods, namely organic (unpaid) and paid (paid). Digital fundraising strategies, both organic and paid, direct muzaki or prospective muzaki to the crowdfunding platform as a direct payment medium. Meanwhile, the formulation of the digital fundraising strategy for LAZ Global Zakat is to continue to use advertisements on the crowdfunding platform to offer zakat programs, collaborate with public figures or influencers to offer a joint ZIS program, create a ZIS program based on community preferences and improve automated answering applications related to zakat consultations that work 24 hours.

COVID-19 control management in central corona hospitals using SWOT and QSPM matrices: A case study in Kashan central hospitals

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals have been the most important centers for the virus spread. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the management of infection control in central corona hospitals in Kashan using the quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM) matrix. Methods: The existing documents studied the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the organization identified by environmental health experts. The internal and external factors were identified as internal factor evaluation (IFE) and external factor evaluation (EFE) matrices, respectively, then, prioritized and weighted. In the next step, the SWOT matrix was formed and the type of used strategy by the organization was determined, and solutions to improve the current situation were presented by experts. Finally, the attractiveness table was compiled and weighted using the QSPM method to prioritize the proposed strategies. Results: After identifying 25 strengths, 28 weaknesses, 15 opportunities, and 13 threats, weighting was performed, the final score for internal and external factors was 2.6475 and 2.3825, respectively. The final strategy for implementing COVID-19 disease control in the studied hospitals was the Conservative Strategy (WO). Based on this, six control strategies were presented. The priority and attractiveness of each strategy were evaluated using the QSPM matrix. Finally, the strategy of "structuring the system and providing and upgrading the equipment and infrastructure facilities" was implemented as a priority. Conclusion: According to the results, the combination of SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and QSPM methods can play an efficient role in identifying and evaluating the factors affecting the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in hospitals and further developing and prioritizing control strategies for this infectious disease.

Evaluating the Strategy to optimize the Retakaful Treaty Property Insurance: In the Perspective of the Sharia General Insurance Company in Indonesia

Purpose: This study on the potential strategy to optimize the retakaful treatyproperty insuranceof the Indonesian sharia general insurance company. Those potential strategies are the priority strategy and alternative strategy.The company can design a piority strategy to optimize the retakaful treaty contract so as to minimize problems arising from the implementation of the underwriting and claim handling. Design/methodology/approach: Thedesign of this research is descriptive - qualitative.A survey on the reinsured’s retakaful existing strategy, retakaful treaty program, internal and external factors, the company's position and implementation ofits business process werealso conducted for this study. Several alternative strategies were obtained using Strength, Weakness, Opportunity (SWOT) analysis and the priority strategyis determined by the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. Finding: The findings from the survey of the evaluation of reinsured’s retakaful existing strategies are: An alternative strategy obtained by using a SWOT matrix analysis, where the company's position in quadrant I with a progressive strategy. The strategy is in accordance with the results of the company's position analysis using the IE matrixwhere the company is in quadrant II in the position of Growth and build. The suitable strategy is to use intensive, forward, backward and horizontal integration. By using the QSPM, the priority strategy is that the company can design a quality retakaful treaty contract. Research Limitation/Implications: This study is limited to Indonesian’s retakaful experience. The strategy being evaluated is the reinsured’s retakaful existing strategy. The findings are the the priority strategy and alternative strategy. The company can design a priority strategy regarding the retakaful treaty contract to optimize the treaty program. Practical Implications: By evaluating the reinsured’s existing strategy in the retakaful treaty, the sharia general insurance company can design a quality retakaful treaty contract to optimize the treaty program. The study may also aid the researchers and regulators to discuss on the area for further development of sharia insurance industry. Social Implications: Based on the findings and implications, it can give managerial implication to the sharia general insurance company and convince the government to speed up the other retakaful business units to spin off becoming a professional reinsurance company. So the numbers of the sharia reinsurance companies in Indonesia will increase and moreover strengthen the sharia insurance industry. Originality/value: The insights on the respondent’s experience when explaining the internal and external factors, company’s position related to the strategy on optimizing retakaful treaty can assist the sharia generalinsurance companies to manage the risks and have a priority strategy to set up their underlying retention and get the claim recovery from the reinsurer. Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) in Determining Alternative Strategies for the Covid-19 Epidemic in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing Companies in Indonesia

The food and beverage industry is one of the manufacturing sectors relied upon to make a significant contribution to national economic growth. Since the beginning of 2020, the world has been shocked by the coronavirus outbreak that originated in China. The impact of Covid-19 has hit various aspects of human life, including the food and beverage industry. For this reason, stakeholders are expected to focus on formulating strategies for the Covid 19 Epidemic in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector. This study aims to identify internal factors' strengths and weaknesses and external factors' opportunities and threats to determine alternative strategies for the covid 19 epidemic in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. It knows the right marketing strategy to develop the company based on a SWOT analysis. It knows the right alternative strategy based on QSPM analysis. This research was conducted at Nutrifood; Data were collected using observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. Nutrifood Indonesia is in quadrant I, which means a company with high market growth and a solid competitive position; on the results of the SWOT matrix analysis with quantitative model analysis, an effective formulation, namely the SO strategy, uses strengths to take advantage of various opportunities (opportunities). The implementation of SO's strategy is to expand market share, maintain and improve service quality to customers and improve product quality. The results showed that the internal and external factors were processed using the SWOT matrix. Based on the results of using the QSPM method, the alternative strategy that is by current conditions is product development by increasing creativity

The International Spread of Chinese Kung-Fu

The international spread of Chinese Kung-Fu is of great significance to promote world sports cultural exchanges and increase world peace. Chinese Kung-Fu has a long history, extensiveness and profoundness. Chinese Kung-Fu advocates the concept of being soft and strong in fighting wisdom and pursuing peace, which is consistent with China’s image of advocating peaceful development. The international spread of Chinese Kung-Fu requires innovation. The global spread of competitive Kung-Fu based on western competitive concepts has expanded the scope and audience of Chinese Kung-Fu. Chinese Kung-Fu has been spread around the world, and Chinese Kung-Fu halls have been opened in countries such as the United States, the Philippines, Singapore and others. The international spread of Chinese Kung-Fu needs to continue to overcome some difficulties. The internationalization of Kung-Fu can not only enhance the sports and cultural exchanges among countries, but also enhance the friendship and understanding of people around the world, and improve people’s health. The study aimed to determine and analyze the internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: 1) What is the status of the internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu as to the level of its: a. strength; b. weakness; c. opportunity and; d. threat? 2) What are the strategies of the internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu in terms of: a) macro-strategic environment; and b) me so-strategic environment? 3) What combination of strategies is most effective in the internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu based on the QSPM analysis model? The following are the major findings of the study: 1) The status of the internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu as to level is high in terms of strengths and very high in terms of opportunities, weaknesses and threats. 2) The macro-strategic environment strategies in the Internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu involve political stability, economic security, effective social communication and efficient use of advanced technology. In terms of meso-strategic environment, concerns are on competitive advantage, bargaining power of clients and threats of potential entrants. 3) Based on the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) model, the best strategy to use in the internationalization of Chinese Kung-Fu is the integration of its strengths and opportunities (SO) in the planning, marketing and implementation of tactics and approaches.

The Strategy of Nazir Development in Indonesia: A Qualitative Study

The purpose of this study is to identify the most important factors in determining current strategies for the development of Nazir in specific region of Indonesia and to examine how the internal and external states developing in that province. Two analyses were used in this research method: SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threats) and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). The number of respondents who filled out the questionnaire was 8 big institutional Nazir and 5 Waqf experts between September and January of 2021, respectively. The result of SWOT analysis is that Waqf institutions need to carry out WT (Weakness Threats) strategy, which is a defensive strategy. Meanwhile, the QSPM analysis discovered that the second strategy is the most priority one. Afterwards, at the conclusion of this study, the results of these particular studies as well as recommendation will be discussed.

Strategies for Improving the E-Waste Management Supply Chain Sustainability in Indonesia (Jakarta)

Electronic waste (e-waste) has become one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world. However, only 17.4% of it can be collected and recycled in 2019. This study aims to formulate strategies to improve the supply chain of e-waste management in Indonesia. Methods used to develop strategies in this study are the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL), the Analytical Network Process (ANP), Strength–Weaknesses–Opportunities–Threats (SWOT), and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results show that infrastructure criteria have the largest weight, that is 0.267, followed by a social environment with 0.261, regulation with 0.244, stakeholder with 0.122, and economy with 0.054. The top priority of the selected strategies is to improve public education (ST1) and provide socialization of regulations and sanctions to the public (ST2).

ANALISIS STRATEGI PEMASARAN DENGAN METODE SWOT DAN QSPM INTEGRASI ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS DI COFFEE SHOP MOJA KITCHEN

This study aims to explain and formulate marketing alternatives that can be seen from the internal and external conditions in the Mojo Kitchen Coffee Shop Business at Jln Bhaskara No. 5 City of Surabaya. This research uses SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) using AHP Integration to Explain and Formulate Marketing Strategies. 5 City of Surabaya. Internal environmental analysis is used to get the strengths and weaknesses of the Mojo Kitchen Coffee Shop, and external environmental analysis is used to get opportunities and threats to the Mojo Kitchen Coffee Shop. From the results of the SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats), there are two SO (Strength Opportunity) Strategies, Two WO Strategies (Weakness Opportunity), Two ST (Strength Threat) Strategies, and Two WT (Weaknes Threat) Strategies. From the results of the four strategies, one strategy that is more superior or prioritized is selected by performing a QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) analysis. From the results of the QSPM analysis, it is found that one more strategy is prioritized based on the largest total value of attraction (TAS). The strategy that gets the largest total attractiveness value (TAS) is Staregi 3 providing more products than various other coffee shops with a total attractiveness value of 5,852.

Sustainable regeneration strategies for the historical city centers of Iran using SWOT and QSPM models

PurposeThe main objectives of the current study are to assess the existing situation of historical city centers in Iran and to offer prioritized appropriate regeneration strategies for their sustainable development.Design/methodology/approachThe study is based on a questionnaire-based survey in four historical city centers of Iran: Kashan, Naeen, Ardakan and Yazd. The required data have been collected using multiple tools including questionnaires and interviews with local residents and officials in the aforementioned case studies. Using the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) technique, a set of appropriate strategies for the sustainable regeneration of these valuable fabrics has been proposed and the best of them have been prioritized employing quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM) matrix.FindingsThe results show that the current situation in all the case studies is not in line with sustainability and cultural heritage protection. Their multiple problems are mostly associated with their weaknesses, whilst their strengths, including a considerable potential as a tourism attraction, are scarcely exploited. The experts and residents surveyed for this research have provided basic information to establish the conservative strategies that should take priority when preparing the urban regeneration process of these areas.Originality/valueSince most of the adopted regeneration strategies in Iran are not supported by empirical studies, the current study largely fulfills this shortcoming by setting up a proper diagnosis of historical city centers in Iran and proposes the most appropriate regeneration strategies based on the findings.

Urbanization development and resources excessive consumption have led to different ‎environmental and public health crises. The risk of improper solid waste management is a most ‎important problem of the Iran especially its capital, i.e. the Tehran metropolis, considering its high ‎population. In the present study, a questionnaire of 25 questions was answered by 450 residents ‎of the study domain selected randomly to examine the people awareness and attitude as well as ‎analyze current and desired situations of wastes management related to the recycling in 1392. ‎The SWOT matrix was used to formulate solid waste management strategies and considering all ‎aspects of comprehensive waste management. Results showed that the awareness level of 90.4% ‎of people was good and the attitude of 81.3% of them was desired to recycling. Based on the ‎quantitative strategic planning matrix, priorities of waste management strategies are allocated to ‎obtain the sustainable, social, economic, and environmental development.‎

Determining Business Strategy of Inspection Companies in Oil and Gas Upstream Business Activities

Inspection companies supporting upstream oil and gas business activities with multi-owned businesses are demanded to compete and survive in increasingly fierce market competition. Differences in the characteristics and scope of each business unit makes the company encouraged to be more observant in seeing the position rate of development of each business unit. A strategy is needed to ensure the treatment of each of these business units in order to achieve company goals. Identification, clustering and analysis of influencing factors affecting the company business performance are carried out through the stages of collecting secondary and primary data to obtain a follow-up plan for each business unit of the company. We use the real case in one of Indonesian Inspection Company. The method used in this paper is the analysis of strategy formulation in determining business strategies by three stages. First stage IFE (Internal Factors Evaluation) matrix and EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix are prepared then follow by IE (Internal External Matrix). Second stage, by assesment the following matrixes, we matched up with SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) matrix. Finally the final stage is taken by using QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) to determine reliable strategy for inspection company in the upstream oil and gas business activities.
