This study aims to determine the implementation of character education through positive school culture in elementary schools. Education cost as a new fickle in higher education for students learning via quantitively multinomial logistic regression

The study was conducted to find out the effects of tuition fee on quality of education for students in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Pakistan to fulfill their future goals. The study used a multinomial logistic regression method for knowing the factors that either make it difficult or easy to pay academic fees. The primary data was gathered using an online survey made with a Google form and sent by email and WhatsApp to students in different departments. A certain amount of time was dedicated to the data collection process. Due to a research deficit on tuition fees for university students in Pakistan, this study was deemed necessary. It entails an examination of the elements that impact graduate quality, taking into account academic achievement, educational expectations, and tuition price donors. The study employed a multinomial logistic regression approach to identify the variables that either facilitate or impede the payment of academic fees. One thousand pupils responded in the positive. The results showed that expensive college tuition causes students to perform poorly academically, lack confidence, have poorly groomed personalities, and have fewer career options. On the other hand, students from well-off households and those who worked part-time performed better. Furthermore, the learning behavior and attitude of students who received scholarships and worked as teaching assistants improved because they were more punctual and attentive in class. By bringing attention to the need for lawmakers and government agencies to take significant steps toward improving student outcomes in higher education—like subsidizing tuition costs, supplying educational resources, and giving out scholarships and studentships—this study helps students. It also fills a research gap in the field of tuition fees in Pakistan by offering new researchers a case study example of how to use multinomial logistic regression to investigate the relationship between students’ academic objectives and the expense of their education.

Implementasi Pencak Silat Setia Hati Teratai Berbasis Etnopedagogis Sebagai Penguat Karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila

Education plays an important role in the inheritance of values and culture, especially amidst the currents of globalization that can now erode local cultures and integrate local wisdom values, including in the character education of students. One form of culture that can be implemented in character education is pencak silat, specifically the Setia Hati Teratai school of pencak silat. This research aims to analyze the ethnopedagogical implementation of Pencak Silat Setia Hati Teratai as a character strengthener of the Pancasila Student Profile among students. The type of research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, emphasizing the reduction, display, and analysis of data from various literatures related to character education and culture. The subjects of the research involve trainers of Setia Hati Teratai Pencak Silat, teachers who teach in schools, and students who apply local wisdom in their learning. The research results show that the training and philosophy in Pencak Silat Setia Hati Teratai support the instillation of values such as mutual cooperation, noble character, independence, and global diversity, as well as the overall values included in the Pancasila Student Profile. Through an ethnopedagogical approach, pencak silat not only functions as a physical activity but also as a medium for character education that aligns with Pancasila. Thus, Pencak Silat Setia Hati Teratai has great potential to be developed in culture-based character education, contributing to the formation of a young generation that is characterized, nationalistic, and tolerant of diversity.

Fable Puppet Show as an Alternative Communication Media Moral and Character Education of Elementary School Students

Wayang Beber is one of Indonesia's cultural heritages, and it contains moral values relevant to children's character education. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of Wayang Beber Fabel as a visual communication medium in character education for elementary school students, as well as contributing to the preservation of local culture. The research uses a qualitative phenomenological approach. The method involves participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The research subjects included elementary school students and teachers who used Wayang Beber Fabel media in teaching and learning activities. Data analysis was done using thematic methods to understand student responses and identify challenges in implementing this media in the elementary school environment. The research results show that Wayang Beber Fabel can attract students' interest and deepen their understanding of character values such as honesty, responsibility and tolerance. Hopefully, this research will also contribute to character education in Indonesia by presenting local culture-based media that can be integrated into the elementary school curriculum. It is hoped that the findings of this research can promote the use of traditional art as an educational instrument. Not only does it support learning in schools, but it also strengthens national cultural identity.

Analysis of Learning Models in Secondary Schools to Improve the Quality of Student Education

This research examines various learning models implemented in secondary schools in different countries and their impact on the quality of education. In the context of globalization and rapid changes in the world of work, education is expected to develop skills relevant to future challenges. This research analyzes seven main learning models that have been proven effective in various countries, namely competency-based models, project-based learning, flipped classroom, inquiry-based learning, collaborative learning, problem-based learning, and technology-based models. Each model has its own characteristics and advantages, and is applied based on local needs and context. Competency-based models, for example, focus on developing students' practical skills needed in the world of work, while flipped classroom and technology-based models provide flexibility in material delivery and allow for more interactive learning. This study uses a literature study approach to collect data and information related to the implementation of these learning models. The results show that the implementation of the right learning model can improve students' motivation, engagement and learning outcomes. Other important factors are infrastructure readiness, teacher training, and education policy support for learning innovation. In Indonesia, the adaptation of these models can improve the quality of education at the secondary school level, provided that there are supporting policies and training for educators. This research provides recommendations for the development of more innovative and skills-based education policies to prepare young people for global challenges.

The Influence of Poverty on Students’ Class Engagement in Community Schools of Nepal

The relationship between poverty and education is complex and interdependent. Poverty limits access to quality schools and educational resources, leading to lower academic performance and class engagement. The main objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of poverty on class engagement and assignment submission. A cross-sectional survey method has been applied with a quantitative and positivist philosophical setting. The sample size of five hundred thirty was selected from 20 community schools in Jhapa and Morang through stratified sampling, where poverty identification was based on the Nepal Multidimensional Poverty Index (MMPI), 2021. Data were collected using a semi-structured questionnaire, structured observation, and structured interviews, and were analyzed within a logistic regression framework using Stata 18. From the collected data it is discovered that 90 percent of students are far from better learning resources and about 50 percent of students living in poverty have fewer opportunities to correct assignments regularly. The majority of poor students who do not complete homework within the deadline are punished physically. Similarly, more than 70 percent of students living in poverty have no access to interaction and learning support. Similarly, students living in poverty participate less actively in class during the submission and correction of assignments. Poverty-stricken students have not taken full advantage of their educational prospects. The study further suggests that quality education for students living in poverty is possible through the provision of quality educational resources, support to teachers and families, and the implementation of programs that address the specific needs of children.

Islamic Boarding School Education Cultivates Moderate Character in Poso Central Sulawesi

This study is oriented to describe and interpret the phenomenon of plural life in Islamic boarding schools and their environments. This study is based on empirical data obtained through the concept and internalization of religious moderation values ​​in three locations directly related to the Poso conflict, namely Walisongo 1 Poso Islamic Boarding School, Amanah Putera Islamic Boarding School, and Gontor Poso Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative approach and phenomenological types and case studies. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are interpretative phenomenological analysis and multisite analysis because there is more than one locus. The validity of the data uses triangulation techniques of source data, theory, and methods. The study results indicate that the values ​​of religious moderation applied are conceptualized through the curriculum's vision, mission, and role in Islamic boarding schools. Moderate character education of students through internalization techniques can be reviewed in three dimensions; a) the process of developing, renewing and adjusting paradigms by the times, implementing moderate curriculum and learning; b) the process of integrating the values ​​of moderation with a set of subjects in Islamic boarding schools; c) a more profound process using verbal communication in embodying the values ​​of moderation in daily behavior in Islamic boarding schools and social environments. This research is only in the corridor of the Islamic boarding school environment, where all educational processes are coordinated directly by the head of the boarding school, so further study is needed in different models and environments. The results of this study emphasize the importance of education in instilling and helping to foster moderate character in students.

Upaya Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Mengatasi Distorsi Moral Siswa Akibat Media Sosial

Considering the rampant moral distortion that is happening among students today so that this phenomenon triggers unrest in many circles, especially teachers, parents and society, this causes this research to be carried out. This research aims to describe the efforts that have been made to overcome students' moral distortions through Islamic religious education. This research uses descriptive qualitative method based on literature study. The technique for collecting data uses documentation studies in the form of library data derived from articles, journals and various relevant books. The findings in this study indicate that there are various kinds of moral distortions that have been committed by students such as cyberbullying, spreading hoax, sexual harassment, drinking alcohol, consuming drugs, free sex, and others. The efforts in overcoming moral distortions among students are carried out through the development of a holistic Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum, instilling student character education, taking a holistic and collaborative approach from family, school, and community.

Character Education Based on Local Wisdom in Learning Science: A Systematic Literature

Character education based on local wisdom is an effort to prevent the decline of ethical and moral values among the younger generation in the educational process. This literature review aims to discuss the cultivation of local wisdom-based character education for students within science learning. The method used in this study is a Narrative Literature Review (NLR). Data collection was conducted through the Science Direct, Scopus and Google Scholar databases, focusing on articles published from 2018 to April 2024. The results of the literature review indicate that local wisdom-based character education in science learning can be effectively instilled in schools by integrating the potential of local wisdom with extracurricular activities, practicums or group learning, local tourism-based learning models, game-based learning, and interactions between students using local languages.

Empowering Charactered Education: The Impact of Educational Management on Islamic Guidance and Counseling for Vocational High School Students

This research aims to analyse the role of educational management in field of Islamic guidance and counselling in creating character education for students at SMKN 1 Praya. The subjects in this study were school principals, educators, and education staff. While the object used is several students. The approach is qualitative, using a qualitative design and data collection methods including documentation, interviews, and observation. The steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing were all included in the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana for the analysis of the data. The findings indicate that the planning for guidance and counseling services is spot on, that the implementation of the services is carried out by guidance and counseling teachers in accordance with the plan because they are aware of their responsibilities, and that the implementation of the services is program-based. However, certain programs cannot be carried out effectively. It is not ideal for the principals to oversee the guidance and counseling services program. Since character education is not offered in every subject at every educational institution, this study differs from earlier studies in the field. The study's findings can serve as a guide for character development in all educational settings, particularly when it comes to practically integrating character education into all subjects and extracurricular activities

Strengthening Of Students’ Class Attendance Using Biometric Authentication System To Enhance Delivery Of Competence-Based Quality Education

Delivery of competence-based quality education for students' academic achievements strongly correlates with effective student class attendance. In Tanzania, no student registered by the NACTVET is eligible for examination unless he/she has earned 75% of class attendance. In this regard, most education institutions use paper-based class attendance to manage students' class attendance. The system requires students to sign to his/her name as the class session is in progress. Despite this effort made by educational institutions still, the manual process of monitoring and tracking students’ class attendance remains challenging for module facilitators. This study examined the problem associated with the paper-based methods of monitoring and tracking students’ class attendance by collecting primary data using questionnaires from students of higher learning institutions in the Arusha Region. After the data analysis findings revealed that paper-based students’ class attendance has many drawbacks which include time-consuming and students’ signature impersonation. The paper-based class attendance facilitates dishonest students to forge the signatures of the absent students. To address these challenges, the study recommends education institutions implement cost-effective biometric class attendance such as fingerprints or facial recognition scanners, which can automatically monitor and keep students' attendance records on the database without interfering with the class session.

Teachers play a strategic role in instilling and developing Pancasila values by integrating technology into the teaching and learning process. This study aims to investigate the role of teachers in building student character based on Pancasila in the era of Society 5.0. This research is a study that uses a library research type with a qualitative approach, and data is collected through documentation methods. The results of the study indicate the importance of teachers adapting to technology and implementing innovative teaching methods to strengthen the internalization of Pancasila values in students. In addition to functioning as educators, teachers also act as role models and facilitators in facing moral and social challenges in the digital era. In conclusion, the importance of the role of teachers in instilling and fostering values through character education for students in the era of Society 5.0 must be in line with the times so that various problems can be overcome in character education

During the process of leading the country, Ho Chi Minh soon outlined strategic directions for the country’s development, including the issue of environmental protection. Educating environmental protection awareness for all classes of people, especially the young generation, is of great significance. The young generation, including youth and students, is a part of society that the Communist Party of Vietnam always pays attention to training and nurturing; they will become the core force shouldering the responsibility of the country’s future. The purpose of this study is to clarify Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology on environmental protection, and the significance of that Ideology in educating environmental protection awareness for students today. To achieve this goal, the study uses disciplinary and interdisciplinary research methods in social sciences and humanities. Research results have shown that Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on environmental protection is still valuable today. At the same time, inheriting those values for environmental protection education activities for students will bring about great changes in the awareness and actions of Vietnamese students. Proposing necessary solutions will help universities improve the quality of environmental protection education for students at present and in the future.

The purpose of education is none other than to shape the character and behaviour of individuals and learning groups in order to have a character spirit in accordance with the norms. In formal education, there has been a moral and moral crisis in students. Prophetic leadership is closely related to the formation of a person's behaviour and character, especially in the context of education that aims to educate and form morals. Prophetic leadership can have a significant impact on school organisations. Prophetic leadership plays an important role in the figure or example of people in the surrounding environment. This research was conducted at the level of Islamic basic education involving principals, teachers, and students related to the implications of the application of prophetic leadership on the development of character education in students. Data collection was done by interview and documentation. The data obtained in the form of exposure to interview information sources are then condensed, analysed and will be verified in accordance with the validity of the data. This study aims to describe the phenomenology of prophetic leadership and its relation to student character education at SD IT Assalaam Bantul. The results of the study explain that the principal in leading educational institutions has implemented prophetic leadership by integrating prophetic traits in its management. With a characterful principal leader, it is able to have a positive influence on the surrounding environment, especially for students, because the principal in the scope of education is a central role model. SD IT Assalaam Sanden Kabupaten Bantul has a programme of development activities that can shape the character of students according to Islamic teachings and uphold Islamic values.

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti dengan Metode Problem Based Learning Fase D Kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Tukka

This study aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method for seventh-grade students in Phase D at SMP Negeri 3 Tukka. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. This method was chosen for its ability to develop critical thinking skills, collaboration, and the application of religious values in daily life. The study employs a quantitative approach with pretests and posttests to measure learning outcomes. Data were collected from test results and observations during the learning process. The results indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes following the implementation of the PBL method. In the first cycle, the average student score increased from 70.6 to 75.6, while in the second cycle, it rose further to 90.6. Additionally, there was an improvement in critical thinking skills and the ability to work collaboratively among students. Thus, the implementation of the PBL method has proven effective in enhancing learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education for seventh-grade students in Phase D at SMP Negeri 3 Tukka.

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education subjects through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method for fifth-grade students at SDN 5 Batas Nangka during the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with one meeting in each cycle. Each cycle consists of several stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The first and second cycles cover the topics of "Men and Women Created in the Image of God," focusing on their different duties and roles, and the material "Concept of Men and Women Created in the Image of God" based on Genesis 1:26-27. The subjects of this study are seven fifth-grade Catholic religious education students at SDN 5 Batas Nangka. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL method significantly improved learning outcomes from the first to the second cycle. In the first cycle, the affective aspect of students showed 57.14% in the capable category and 42.86% in the adequate category, increasing to 100% in the capable category in the second cycle. Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar PAK Melalui Problem Based Learning (PBL) Materi Panggilan dan Perutusan Murid Yesus Kelas 8-1 SMP Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai Semester Ganjil

This research aims to improve the learning achievement of participants in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education for class VIII-1 students at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai for the 2024/2025 academic year in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles with 2 meetings per cycle. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The first and second cycles discuss the material on the Call and Mission of Jesus' Disciples and the Consequences of Jesus' Preaching. The subjects in this research were Catholic students in class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai for the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 21 people. The main techniques for collecting data are carried out by means of tests and observations, while supporting techniques use interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class VIII-1 students starting from cycle I and cycle II, namely 81 in cycle I, increasing to 89 in cycle II. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by the interactive media of jingling buttons can improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Character for students in class VIII-1 of SMP Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai for the 2024/2025 academic year.
