Before joining the Shipyard in 1965 he was associated with Morris Guralnick and Bethlehem Pacific Coast Steel Company. His total professional experience has been in piping design. He graduated from Healds Engineering College, San Francisco with a BSME and has done graduate work at the University of California, and San Francisco Law School. Registered in California as An Engineer in Training, he is a member of the California Society of Professional Engineers.
