Prosthesis of Full Crown and Half Crown in Molars

Objective This study is to evaluate the sound effect of the co-prosthesis of a full crown and a half crown for patients who have two adjoining decayed molars. Methods 40 patients who had a largely decayed molar and a adjoining molar with contact point caries were included in the study. Co-prosthesis of a full crown and a half crown was used. All cases had been clinically observed for 3 to 5 years. Results One case was rebounded for the crown mobility. One abutment with pulpitis was re-treated with root canal therapy. Other cases were satisfied and the success rate was 95%. Conclusion This design can efficiently prevent food impaction and reduce tooth preparation. Clinical application of plasticizing combined with mummification of pulp to acute pulpitis

Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of plasticizing combined with mummification of pulp to acute pulpitis. Methods 300 patients with acute pulpitis were divided into two groups: treatment and control group. Plasticizing combined with mummification of pulp was used in treatment group and the conventional therapy was used as control. After the therapy, all of patients were performed 2 months' and 1 year's recheck. Results The cure rates of the treatment group in 2 months and 1 year after the therapy were 92.0% and 93.3%,respectively, which were higher significantly than those of control group (90.0% and 92.0% respectively).The differences between two groups had no statistic signifi-cance (P>0.05).Moreover, the excellent cure rate of the treatment group in 2 months' recheck was higher than that of the control group (106/150 vs 87/150, P<0.05).Conclu-sions The results suggest that the plasticizing combined with mummification of pulp may not only improve the cure rate of acute pulpitis, but also is a simple, safe method, which has an important clinical significance. Breeders of exhibition budgerigars have commented for some years on an increasing prevalence of feather diseases in their birds. A survey of these diseases identified 37 different conditions, but three-quarters of the cases were due to only four conditions: psittacine beak and feather disease, pulpitis, feather mites and feather cysts.

SUMMARY In this study, scattering of both caries frequency and the degree of caries deepness classified as dentine caries, pulpitis and gangrenous seen in decidious and permanent teeth of children was investigated. On the other hand the imports caries prevention methods in decreasing caries frequency was pointed out and with the prevention of caries the economiclal benefits of the country was discussed.
