The 4E-Oriented Performance Evaluation of Public Traffic Based on BSC

Under the background of rapid urbanization development in our country, public transportation tends to the development of high speed and comprehensive type. It becomes a major issue how to build the people's satisfaction public transportation. More and more cities pay more attention to the performance evaluation of the traffic system. The paper draws the balanced scorecard strategy map of the public traffic and establishes the index evaluation system based on 4E from citizen dimension, finance dimension, internal operation and safety dimension, learning and growth dimension. Then information entropy theory and AHP are adopted to calculate the weight of each index.

Present Assessment of Public Traffic System Based on GIS in Kitakyushu

With increasing of serious environment problems and the coming of the aging society, new traffic systems should be urgently rebuilt. It is necessary to evaluate the traffic service level by utilizing new technique and tool. This paper takes Kitakyushu city as case study to carry out an evaluation of urban traffic system. The concept of accessibility and mobility is used to evaluate the present condition of existing public traffic system based on GIS technology, and then establishment of new route is discussed according to the evaluation results. Additionally, this paper established GIS database and illustrated the relationship between the public traffic and population density. The regions without enough existing traffic were identified. Moreover, the essential terms and considerations were put forward to simulate a new route of public traffic line.

The Ranking of Optimization Schemes of Public Traffic Line Network Based on Set-Pair and Entropy Analysis

As there are uncertainties in the public transportation network optimization evaluation process, many existing methods cannot simultaneously describe the uncertainties in different types and therefore will result in an un-objective reflection of the actual problem. In this paper set-pair and entropy analysis is used to analyze the internal connections of the system globally and locally. This model which is simple in calculation and easy to use has theoretical and practical values for new ideas and methods of uncertainty analysis of the public transportation network optimization.

The Research of Public Traffic Safety Evaluation System

In order to improve the security of public traffic, In the road engineering, traffic engineering facilities for basic theory,analyze the factors that affect public transport safety,and then conduct extensive questionnaire,analyze the degree that the major transport facilities affect the safety of traffic,determine the evaluation index and use the analytic hierarchy construct public transport safety evaluation system.Finally,applicate evaluation system to determine the best time for preventive maintenance of road markings,and also provide a new way of thinking for the study of traffic safety.

Research of the Data Mining Based Public Traffic Transfer Algorithm

The route relationship matrix M is employed in this paper to indicate relationship between routes. The travel solutions for bus stations are obtained by matrix operation. Through the data mining to the history record of transportation information, the road transportation status at specific time interval can be predicted. Based on the predication, the best travel solutions can be found. The algorithm fully uses history transportation information, optimizes the travel solutions according to the time consumed. Intelligent Scheduling of Public Traffic Vehicles Based on a Hybrid Genetic Algorithm

A genetic algorithm (GA) and a hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) were used for optimal scheduling of public vehicles based on their actual operational environments. The performance for three kinds of vehicular levels were compared using one-point and two-point crossover operations. The vehicle scheduling times are improved by the intelligent characteristics of the GA. The HGA, which integrates the genetic algorithm with a tabu search, further improves the convergence performance and the optimization by avoiding the premature convergence of the GA. The results show that intelligent scheduling of public vehicles based on the HGA overcomes the shortcomings of traditional scheduling methods. The vehicle operation management efficiency is improved by this essential technology for intelligent scheduling of public vehicles.

Speedy Algorithm of Public Traffic Route Selection Based on Adaptive Backbone Network

The inquiry service of public traffic routes is the important part of urban information service, which core is the public traffic route selection algorithm. However the traditional public traffic route selection algorithms have high time complexities and cannot support the inquiry of multiple changes. In this article, we put forward the speedy algorithm of public traffic route selection based on adaptive backbone network. In this algorithm, if the public traffic routes which pass certain public traffic station exceed or equal a certain value, so the station is defined as the backbone station, and the backbone stations and the public routes which pass them compose backbones network. If changes are limited at the backbone stations, so we can realize multiple changes inquiry and reduce computation in 10% of traditional algorithms through changing the certain value to adjust the backbone network.

Topological Properties of Urban Public Traffic Networks inChinese Top-Ten Biggest Cities

We investigate the topological characteristics ofcomplex networks as exemplified by the urban public traffic network (UPTN) inChinese top-ten biggest cities. It is found that the UPTNs have small worldbehaviour, by the examination of their topological parameters. The quantitativeanalysis of the transport efficiency of the UPTNs reveals their higher localefficiency El and lower global efficiency Eg, which coincide well with thestatus quo of those Chinese cities still at their developing stage. Furthermore, thetopological properties of efficiency in the UPTNs are also examined, and thefindings indicate that, on the one hand, the UPTNs show robustness to random attacksand frangibility to malicious attacks on a global scale; on the other hand, theinterrelation between UPTN efficiency and network motifs deserves our attention. Themotifs which interrelate the UPTN efficiency are always triangular-formed patterns,e.g. motifs ID 238, ID 174 and ID 102, etc.
