Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Reward and Punishmant dalam Melatih Child Psychology

This study aims to determine how the learning outcomes of the reward and punishment method, whether the provision of reward and punishment can improve the discipline and motivation of students and what forms of reward and punishment are given. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. This research is located in MI Ihyauddiniyah, Kecik Village, Besuk District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java. Sources of data obtained through observation and interviews. The resource persons in this study amounted to 6 people, namely the head of the Madrasa, 1 teacher, homeroom teacher for class V and 3 students. The application of the reward and punishment learning method at MI Ihyauddiniyah Kecik Probolinggo has a positive impact on students in terms of discipline and learning motivation. The forms of rewards applied at MI Ihyauddiniyah include; sincere compliment, memorial award, useful gift. The punishments applied at MI Ihyauddiniyah include: cue penalty, spoken punishment, corporal punishment.

ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF GIVING REWARDS AND ICE BREAKERS ON THE LEARNING PROCESS AT SDN 04 KARANGTENGAH

The learning process should be an active activity for students to build their understanding. Even so, there are still many students who look bored and lack enthusiasm. The effort that needs to be done by the teacher is by giving rewards and ice breaker. This study aims to determine the impact of giving rewards and ice breakers on the learning process at SDN 04 Karangtengah, Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency. This study used a type of qualitative research where the subjects in this study were teachers and fourth grade students. Data collection was carried out by observation and interview techniques with research instruments in the form of observation sheets and interview sheets. The results showed that the provision of rewards and ice breakers had a very good impact on the learning process in class IV SDN 04 Karangtengah. Thus it can be concluded that giving rewards and ice breakers is able to arouse student learning motivation so that it also has an impact on cognitive learning outcomes. Giving rewards and ice breakers can bring out the enthusiasm of students in learning, learning becomes more competitive, collaborative, and varied so that students return to concentrate and actively participate in learning.

The Impact of Reward and Punishment on the Extrinsic Motivation of Elementary School Students

This research is driven by the provision of reward and punishment, which influences student psychology in increasing learning motivation. The purpose of this study was to describe the impact of reward and punishment on students' extrinsic motivation. The research used a qualitative descriptive method with the subject of the fourth grade’s homeroom teachers and three students at a state elementary school in Kumantan. Data was collected by observation, interviews and documentation. Triangulation was carried out through focus group discussions between researchers, homeroom teachers and students. The results of the research show that giving rewards and punishment has an impact on student development if it is done properly and appropriately. Rewards are given to instill good values, which is done by habituation and appreciation when doing positive things, but when the students do negative things, the teacher will provide appropriate punishment for them as this punishment aims to prevent students from repeating unacceptable actions. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the effectiveness of reward and punishment as an educational tool to get feedback from students will be gained if they are appropriately delivered.

PREVENTION OF BULLYING IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Abstract. Motivation is a driving force in a person in the form of real activities to carry out a goal, learning motivation is needed in learning students who lack learning motivation can have a negative impact on the learning process. Motivation determines the success or failure of student learning activities, by providing rewards and punishments for students can be expected to increase student motivation. Giving rewards and punishments to students can guide active students, and can create a more optimal learning process. Students who lack motivation to learn can become a problem that must be solved. This study aims to analyze whether the provision of rewards can have an effect on increasing student motivation. Methods: This study used a literature review approach based on studies from various journals, proposals, books. Results: Rewards and punishmentshave an influence on increasing student motivation, reward and punishment as educational aids to get feedback from students will be felt if the application is appropriate. Giving rewards and punishments too often is also not justified, because students are worried about being active in learning and doing assignments if their work is rewarded by the teacher. The Influence of Transformational Leadership and Transactional Leadership on Motivation Moderated by Reward on Employee Performance (Study on Cv. Galaxy Mega Indah)

Galaxy Mega Indah is a company engaged in the distribution of consumer good products. In terms of performance, policies related to reward, work motivation, and leadership style in CV are needed. Mega Galaxy Beautiful. The purpose of the study was to test the influence of transformational and transactional leadership with work motivation on performance moderated by rewarding employees. This research is quantitative. The population and sample of the study constituted all 50 employees. Data analysis techniques using SEM-PLS with Smart-PLS 3.0 and SPSS 23 software. Hasil research concluded that: (1) Transformational leadership does not have a significant effect on the work motivation of CV employees. Galaksi Mega Indah; (2) Transactional leadership has no significant effect on the work motivation of CV employees; (3) Rewarding does not moderate the effect of transformational leadership on the work motivation of CV employees. Galaksi Mega Indah; (4) Reward provision does not moderate the effect of transactional leadership on the work motivation of CV employees; and (5) Work motivation has a significant positive effect on the performance of CV employees. The Effect of Applying Peer Teaching Learning Methods and Giving Rewards & Punishments on Learning Motivation in Economics Subjects in Class XI Social Studies SMA Negeri 4 Malang

This study aims to determine the effect of peer teaching methods and the provision of reward and punishment on learning motivation in economics subjects in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 4 Malang. This type of research is explanatory research, which explains the influence between the independent and dependent variables. The population in this study were all students of class XI Social Sciences at SMA Negeri 4 Malang, totaling 100 remaining, divided into 3 classes. Sampling was carried out with a saturated sampling technique in which all population members were used as samples. The data collection instrument was a student response questionnaire to the peer tutor learning method and the provision of rewards and punishments. The data analysis technique in this study used the t-test, f-test, and determination test with the help of the SPSS program. The calculation results obtained the calculated F value of 285.349 > f Table 3.09, so it can be concluded that the independent variables have a significant effect simultaneously on the dependent variable. Likewise, with the results of the t-test calculation, the significance value of the two independent variables is greater than the t-count (1.98473). Furthermore, the dominant variable is the reward and punishment variable. From these results, using peer tutoring methods and providing optimal rewards and punishments will increase learning motivation

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN REWARDTERHADAPMOTIVASI BELAJARSISWA:STUDIDI KELAS TINGGI SD INPRES 3/77 PANYILI KECAMATAN PALAKKA KABUPATEN BONE

This study was a cause-and-effect correlation study that aimed to determine whether there was or there was not an effect of rewarding to the learning motivation of students in the high grades of SD Inpres 3/77 Panyili. The research data was obtained through a questionnaire. The population in the study was all of the high-grade students of SD Inpres 3/77 Panyili for the 2021/2022 academic year, in acount 48 people.Data analysis techniques include Prerequisite Test and Simple Linear Regression Analysis and t Test. The results showed that Fhitung (0.3038) ˃ Ftabel (0.0725) which meant that the provision of rewards and student learning motivation with in a linear pattern, KP = 23.04% which meant that the reward for student learning motivation was of 23.04% and thitung (3,670) > ttabel (1,125).Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there was a significant influence of rewarding to the the learning motivation of high-grade students of SD Inpres 3/77 Panyili. So, the better the reward given, the better the student's learning motivation

This study aims to analyze the sampling technique using the Stratified Random method. Sampling samples in the study were 86 students. The results of self-efficacy research have a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. coefficients are 0.348241 and 0.355978, respectively. With tcount value of 2.070014 > ttable 1.69552 with significant value 0.0469 < = 0.05 and 2.798753 > ttable 1.68107 with value significant 0.0076 < = 0.05 which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The provision of rewards has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. The coefficients are 0.379086 and 0.443925, respectively. Learning facilities have a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. coefficients are 0.150116 and 0.214942, respectively. Learning discipline has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. coefficients are 0.184940 and 0.128583, respectively. family environment has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. coefficients are 0.210983 and 0.172287, respectively. self-efficacy, giving rewards, learning facilities, learning discipline and family environment together have a significant effect on student achievement in economics class X Social Sciences SMA Negeri 4 Payakumbuh. Overall the value of Fcount 49.94751 > Ftable 2.33 and significant value 0.000 <α = 0.05, based on the sample group of high parental income, Fcount 11.58369 > Ftable 2.52 and significant value 0.000 <α = 0.05 and based on the sample group the income of parents is low, the value of Fcount is 24,80710> Ftable 2.43 and the significant value is 0.000 <α = 0.05. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Provision of Rewards and Punishments in Improving PAI Learning Outcomes at SMPN 2 Syamtalira Aron, Aceh

The learning delivered by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Teachers often does not touch the motivation of students' learning, so that the learning process has not been able to improve learning outcomes as expected. This incident is not much different from that experienced by PAI teachers at Public Junior High School (SMPN) 2 Syamtalira Arun, which has an impact on poor learning outcomes due to the ability of PAI Teachers to encourage students to use punishment and reward methods that are in accordance with the conditions of their students. The research questions in this study are: 1) How is the implementation of the reward and punishment method to improve PAI learning outcomes? 2) What are the obstacles faced by PAI teachers? 3) How are the teachers' efforts in overcoming the existing obstacles? This type of research uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach to the actual conditions of the research subject at the research location. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The provision of rewards and punishments in improving PAI learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Syamtalira Aron is carried out in various forms, for example, giving prizes and appreciation for those who excel and praise. Meanwhile, those who break the rules are given punishments that are educational both in groups and individually. The obstacles faced by PAI teachers in implementing rewards and punishments to improve PAI learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Syamtalira Aron are complex obstacles: 1) the students are mostly villagers, and most students are busy with activities to help their parents, 2) apathetic parents who do not want to know about their children's learning outcomes, 3) the obstacle is inadequate school facilities. The efforts made by PAI teachers in overcoming obstacles in implementing rewards and punishments to improve PAI learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Syamtalira Aron: 1) completing teaching administration, such as lesson plans, syllabus, media, and preparing learning materials; 2) activates the school MGMP (Subject Teachers Discussion).

Why do rewards fail to motivate knowledge sharing behavior among employees?

Purpose This study aims to investigate the factors that lead to the failure of some rewards to induce knowledge sharing behavior among employees, with much focus on employees’ attitudes and leadership’s knowledge of employees’ preferences, and presents a model that depicts the linkages. Design/methodology/approach To investigate why the provision of some rewards fails to induce knowledge sharing behavior among employees, this study uses the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses framework to identify and analyze 56 articles published from 2000 to 2021. Findings Knowledge sharing is positively linked to organizational performance. Further, employees’ negative attitudes toward a reward system negatively relate to knowledge sharing behavior. Furthermore, management’s lack of knowledge of employees’ preferences regarding rewards leads to the provision of incorrect rewards that do not enhance knowledge sharing behavior. Finally, a conceptual model depicting the linkages among the variables under consideration has been presented. Research limitations/implications Through the present study, employees’ attitudes toward rewards and leadership’s knowledge of employees’ preferences have been presented as critical factors that can lead to the failure of some rewards to induce knowledge sharing behavior. Further, the conceptual framework that can guide managers and leaders in strategizing on how best to develop and implement correct reward systems has been presented. Originality/value The present study is a significant contribution to the literature by focusing on the negative side of rewards toward knowledge sharing behavior with a focus on employees’ attitudes and leadership’s awareness of employees’ preferences regarding rewards.

PENGARUH SUPERVISI KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN REWARD TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SD NEGERI DI KECAMATAN BANGKO KABUPATEN ROKAN HILIR

This research is motivated by phenomena such as some teachers who often don't come on time and don't even come for no apparent reason, some teachers often leave the office during working hours, even though the covid 19 pandemic still applies rules for entering work. on certain days, the tasks and activities given by the principal to the teacher are not working, many of the teachers have not prepared the learning tools they should have, especially changes in teaching preparation in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic, remedial and enrichment programs are lacking run as it should, so that learning becomes less than optimal. This study aims to analyze the contribution of two independent variables, namely principal supervision and reward, and one dependent variable, namely teacher performance at SD Negeri Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. To obtain the data needed, the writer uses descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential analysis. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that 1) There is a positive contribution between the supervision of the principal on the performance of teachers in SD Negeri Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that the better the supervision of the principal, the better the teacher's performance in carrying out their duties. 2) There is a positive contribution between rewards and teacher performance at the State Elementary School in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This means that teacher performance can be improved through the provision of rewards in schools. 3) There is a joint contribution of principal supervision and reward on teacher performance at SD Negeri Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. Principal supervision and rewards significantly determine and contribute on teacher performance.

Coming-Out from the Comfort Zone: A Qualitative Study on the Lived Experiences of Public Elementary School Teacher-Broadcasters in the New Normal

This qualitative-phenomenological study described the lived experiences of Teacher-Broadcasters in Radio and Television-Based Instruction in the New Normal. This study was gleaned on Albert Banduras Social Learning Theory, Abraham Maslows Humanistic Theory in Psychology, and John Deweys Theory of Progressive Education in 1938. The participants of this study were the public elementary school teacher-broadcasters in radio and television-based instruction. Fourteen (14) teachers participated in the in-depth interview and focus group discussion. They were selected using the purposive sampling method. There were challenges emerged namely: struggles for being inexperienced in broadcasting challenges in facility and technical application stress, hesitations, and pressures due to overloaded tasks and roles time constraints and sacrifices along the process happiness and sense of fulfillment on the experience and discontentment on the finish product or recording. To address those challenges, they mentioned their ways of coping: doing necessary preparations having positive disposition allocating time properly having cooperation and support among the team exploring different means to improve quality output and being open for corrections and improvements. They also cited insights they could share to others: passion towards the task given provision of resources provision of trainings and seminars call for support from members of the academe and provision of rewards for being broadcasters. With the results, it was revealed that teacher-broadcasters need sufficient training and resources to be able to function effectively on the different roles they portray in broadcasting. They also asked for support from their fellow broadcasters, colleagues, and school heads not just on the material resources but also moral support for the attainment of the purpose of radio and television-based instruction in the new normal. Furthermore, the results emphasized that teachers should be passionate to their profession and tasks given to them so that learners may receive the quality content material that may help them in acquiring the competencies to learn meaningfully.

STRATEGY TO IMPROVE EDUCATION QUALITY THROUGH GIVING REWARDS TO STUDENTS AT MIN 6 NGANJUK

Abstract
 
 In the era of globalization, improving the quality of competitive education is very necessary. All problems in education such as not focusing on learning, declining student enthusiasm and so on are challenges for school principals, educators and parents. Therefore, the provision of giving rewards is expected to improve the quality of education. This study focuses on strategies to improve the quality of education through rewards to students along with supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The results of the study show that the strategy for improving the quality of education through the provision of rewards refers to input (preparation of teacher human resources), process (class division, procurement of extracurricular and tutoring, giving rewards that have applied the principles and meet the requirements), output (rewards foster student enthusiasm, and assessment can create output according to the educational goals of the institution) with various supporting factors such as the involvement of several parties, adequate infrastructure, student motivation and sufficient funds. And the obstacles to its implementation are poor time management, urgent interests in school, lack of concern for some students, and lack of full support from parents. Overcome by paying attention to teachers, students and parents who can support the implementation of school activities. And with the implementation of this strategy, the educational process makes it easier for teachers to deliver subject matter, the direct results of education are in the form of student behavior after attending lessons, and the final result of education is the behavior of graduates.

Advanced artificial agents intervene in the provision of reward

AbstractWe analyze the expected behavior of an advanced artificial agent with a learned goal planning in an unknown environment. Given a few assumptions, we argue that it will encounter a fundamental ambiguity in the data about its goal. For example, if we provide a large reward to indicate that something about the world is satisfactory to us, it may hypothesize that what satisfied us was the sending of the reward itself; no observation can refute that. Then we argue that this ambiguity will lead it to intervene in whatever protocol we set up to provide data for the agent about its goal. We discuss an analogous failure mode of approximate solutions to assistance games. Finally, we briefly review some recent approaches that may avoid this problem.

HUBUNGAN PEMBERIAN REWARD AND PUNISHMENT DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV

Low student learning motivation requires teachers to find ways to increase student learning motivation in order to achieve educational goals. One way that can be used is by applying reward and punishment in the learning process. This research is a correlational quantitative research with ex-post facto method. This research was conducted at SDN 42 Waetuwo with a sample of all fourth grade students, totaling 33 students. The results showed that the provision of reward and punishment to fourth grade students at SDN 42 Waetuwo was included in the good category with a percentage of 78.31% while learning motivation was included in the very good category with a percentage of 83.72%. And based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, the degree of relationship between the two variables was 37.45%, and the value of tcount = 4.307 was greater than the value of ttable = 1.69552 at a significance level of 5%. Thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. From the results of the study, it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the provision of reward and punishment with the learning motivation of fourth grade students Bone Regency.

Data Analysis Techniques for Problem-Based Learning Model Development and Rewarding Elementary Linear Algebra

The problem in this research is how the data analysis techniques are used in developing problem-based learning models and giving elementary linear algebra rewards. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of data analysis in the research conducted. The type of research used is the type of RD research with qualitative and quantitative methods. The stages of data collection carried out are: Preliminary Phase, Prototyping Phase and Assessment Phase. The Preliminary stage is processed descriptively, by clearly describing the results of the preliminary analysis in the form of needs analysis, curriculum analysis, concept analysis, and student characteristics analysis, each resulting analysis is equipped with conclusions. The prototyping stage uses instrument data that has been given to experts or validators to see the errors and accuracy of the instruments presented in the form of numbers. For the Assessment Phase, validity tests were carried out on the validity of the RPS and SAP instruments, model books, lecturer books, LKM, students' mathematical ability tests, attitude questionnaires and student learning interests. Product reliability tests were carried out on RPS and SAP instruments, model books, lecturer books, LKM, students' mathematical ability tests, attitude questionnaires and student learning interests. The product effectiveness test was obtained from the student's mathematical ability test data, attitude questionnaire and student learning interest questionnaire. Based on the analysis of the data used, it can be concluded that the product validity test results obtained high validity criteria. The results of the practicality test obtained high validity. The results of the effectiveness test are that the problem-based learning model and the provision of rewards can improve students' mathematical abilities and can encourage increased understanding of a concept and solve problems that are legitimate, efficient, and effective.

Is the global supply chain hard to reverse? Understanding manufacturing strategies of Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean Firms

AbstractAs the Covid pandemic underscores global supply chain risks, there is a debate on whether to bring US manufacturing back from overseas. This paper provides insights into the heated debate on the global supply chain by examining the competitive manufacturing environments of China, Japan, and South Korea. More specifically, we conduct a cross‐national survey and empirically investigate the manufacturing strategies employed by manufacturing managers in the top Asian players: China, Japan, and South Korea. We examine four dimensions of the manufacturing strategies: quality, inventory, flexibility, and top management involvement. Our findings indicate that Japanese manufacturers are more committed to the cumulative approach to quality management and see enhanced flexibility as a strategic priority. While Chinese managers are also committed to achieving quality, they are more delivery‐driven and thus are more likely to occasionally accept slightly off‐quality components from suppliers to “save” an order. However, in all three countries, managers with a high focus on quality also focus on just‐in‐time management and in turn, on flexibility. There is significantly less agreement among Chinese managers, compared to their Japanese and Korean counterparts, that the top management should be involved in operational planning, goal setting, and the provision of rewards.

The Role of the Language Environment in Improving Arabic Learning Abilities

One factor that influences and determines the success of the learning process is the environment, and the language environment is no exception. A quality language environment is significant for the success of someone learning a second language, in this case, Arabic. In this paper, the author wants to discuss the role of the language environment in improving Arabic learning skills. This research uses qualitative research. The qualitative research approach is a research and understanding process based on a methodology that investigates a social phenomenon and human problem. The results of the study show that the language environment plays an essential role in improving Arabic language skills because the language environment is designed in such a way that it is similar to the original environment so that there is an appreciation and supportive attitude towards learning Arabic from related parties so that it creates student motivation in learning Arabic. There are ten strategies to develop an Arabic learning environment, namely the formulation of a mission, strong commitment, reviewing the Arabic curriculum, determining Arabic language compulsory days, Arabic seminars, nuanced Arabic competitions, providing adequate Arabic language media, dormitory concepts with Arabic nuances, cooperation between institutions and the provision of rewards for achievers.

THE INFLUENCE OF WORK ENVIRONMENT, WORK ENTHUSIASM AND REWARDS ON WORK DISCIPLINE (LITERATURE REVIEW HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT)

Human resources as the important resource which drive the organization. Human resources in company is the employees. Employees are required to have good discipline in order to achieve good performance. Work environment, work enthusiasm, and rewards are factors that increasing work discipline on employee. This literature study was conducted to determine the effect of the work environment, work enthusiasm, and rewards on work discipline. Literature studies are carried out to draw conclusions without having to conduct studies directly in the field. The independent variables in this study are work environment, work enthusiasm, and rewards, the dependent variable is work discipline. The results of this study indicate that a conducive work environment, enthusiasm for work, and the provision of rewards can support employees to improve work discipline.

Fuzzy Employee Placement Suitability Assessment using Mamdani Fuzzy Method

For a company, employees are the spearhead for the company because they have a function as Customer Service, customer satisfaction is obtained after interacting with the company through the performance of its employees. Employees are expected to meet all customer needs with the applicable regulations in the company and become a source of income for the company. To get reliable employees, one way is to assess the suitability of their placement in the appropriate position. With the assessment of the suitability of positioning, companies can consider and determine the provision of rewards, promotions, punishments, training, coaching, counseling, or transfers for their employees. The choice of method used to assess the suitability of employee placement in a company is Fuzzy Mamdani. With the Fuzzy Mamdani method, a system that is completely measurable and human assessments that tend to be immeasurable can be bridged. Assessment of the suitability of employee placement using the resulting fuzzy method, is expected to be an alternative solution for companies to give positions to their employees.
