Are we preparing to move out of familiar patterns of care to provide nutrition services in comprehensive care programs? Are we ready to cope with the differences in these new and emerging patterns of care? Are we planning new ways to establish and maintain continuity of nutrition services for patients as they move from an in-patient setting to the home or out-patient settings? Do we have the “know how” to define standards for nutrition services and the roles and responsibilities of the professional and non-professional worker in such programs?
