Implementation of Centroid Clustering Method for Industrial Clusterization in Regencies and Cities in Maluku Province

The industrial sector has a vital role in economic development. In addition to increasing state revenue, the industrial sector can also provide business opportunities that make a positive contribution to efforts to equalize community welfare. The limited employment opportunities available in Maluku Province need to be balanced with the increase in the labor force, which significantly impacts the high unemployment. Basically, the high unemployment rate will significantly impact economic development, which aims to improve the standard of living of the people in Maluku Province. Centroid Linkage is the average of all objects in the cluster, and the distance. The distance between the cluster centroids is what separates two clusters. Cluster centroid is the center value of observations on variables in a set of cluster variables. The purpose of this research is to cluster the distribution of industries in regencies and cities in Maluku Province using data from BPS Maluku Province. This study obtained the results that there are 3 clusters formed in the clusterization of industry in regencies and cities in Maluku Province, namely cluster 1 consisting of Tanimbar Islands Regency. Cluster 2 consists of Buru, South Buru, West Seram, East Seram, Central Maluku, Tual City, Southeast Maluku, and Aru Islands Regency. Furthermore, Cluster 3 consists of Ambon City and Southwest Maluku.

Analisis Penentuan Pusat Ibu Kota Kabupaten Kepulauan Ambon Sebagai Calon Daerah Otonomi Baru Kecamatan Salahutu

The expansion of Salahutu and Leihitu sub-districts into candidates for the new autonomous region of Ambon Islands Regency has become an interesting issue in recent years in Maluku Province because of various problems that occur such as the difficulty of administrative management such as identity cards, lack of infrastructure and supporting facilities for community activities, control span problems, and various other problems. The feasibility study of Salahutu District to become a new autonomous region has been carried out and in terms of population availability and area has a good level of feasibility. This research is to find out the appropriate location to become the center of the capital of the Ambon Islands Regency based on the availability of regional facilities. The analysis used is the centrality index. This analysis is used by calculating the number of means compared to the population. The results showed that the priority of the central capital of Ambon Islands Regency as a candidate for the new autonomous region of Salahutu District, namely Tulehu Country with a value of 1,168.2 because it has more complete facilities than other villages / countries based on education, health, trade and services, financial institutions and worship. The importance of the results of this research is as a basis if expansion will be carried out and it is necessary to determine the center of the capital, so that the main problems of span of control in Central Maluku can be resolved and provide useful planning for the community

Morphological Characterization of Local Jinten Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merr. & L. M. Perry) in Wakasihu Village, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency

Clove jinten are one of the local cloves cultivated in Wakasihu Village, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. Until now, there has not been much information about various studies related to the morphology of cloves Jinten. The research aims to analyze the morphological characters of local cloves jinten and identify the plant's descriptor characters. The research was carried out in Wakasihu Village, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province in January - May 2024. The research results based on Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) showed two large groups with a dissimilarity coefficient of 14.30% (similarity of 85.70%). Group I consisted of 4 accessions clustered with a dissimilarity coefficient of 12.80% (similarity 87.20%) and group II consisted of 26 accessions with a dissimilarity coefficient of 12.50% (similarity 87.50%). Group II in the grouping is also divided into two groups, namely group II-a which consists of 20 accessions with a dissimilarity coefficient of 11.80% (similarity 88.20%) and group II-b which consists of 6 accessions with a dissimilarity coefficient of 12% (similarity 88%). Characteristics of cloves jinten based on Principle Component Analysis (PCA) were obtained in the form of leaf length, leaf area, leaf stalk length, flower stalk length, fruit length, fruit width and fruit weight.

Strategi Dinas Parawisata Provinsi Maluku Dalam Meningkatkan Kunjungan Wisata

This research is a qualitative research that aims to analyze the strategy of the Tourism Office in increasing tourist visits (Case study on World Peace Gong). This research was conducted at the Maluku Province Tourism Office. Data collection is obtained through primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the GPD historical tourist destination is one of the tourist attractions managed directly by the Maluku Province Tourism Office. In its management, there are obstacles, namely the lack of parking lots, some infrastructure that is starting to be damaged, the lack of quality of tourism human resources and the lack of promotion carried out by the Maluku Province Tourism Office. It is expected from this research that the Tourism Office can improve the quality of tourism human resources, can develop the capacity of tourism businesses and the creative economy, can develop tourism facilities and infrastructure as a support in developing tourism potential and can optimize technology in promoting GPD to be widely known by the public, thus increasing tourist visits.

LR-GLASSO Method for Solving Multiple Explanatory Variables of the Village Development Index

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are developments that maintain sustainable improvement in society’s economic, social, and environmental welfare. Kemendes PDTT RI has issued the Village Development Index (VDI) to provide information and the status of village progress to support village development to improve the National SDGS. Modelling with multiple explanatory variables causes a high correlation between explanatory variables, multicollinearity, and coefficient estimation results, which have major variance and overfitting in prediction results. The modeling solution uses LASSO and GLASSO. Binary categorical response data uses binary logistic regression (LR), so LR-LASSO and LR-GLASSO are used. North Maluku Province has a VDI ranking that tends to fall in 2018-2022. Based on the mean and variance of the coefficient estimation results and misclassification errors, LR-GLASSO is better than LR-LASSO and LR. LR-GLASSO is recommended for analyzing VDI data because it has many explanatory variables, and the correlation between them is relatively high. The recommendation given by the Indonesian government, if it is to increase the status of VDI in Indonesia, especially in North Maluku province, is to increase the number of electricity users, food and beverage stalls, and other cooperatives. The Indonesian government also needs to pay attention to villages relatively far from the regent's office, between food and beverage stalls, and supporting health centres, because they still need to be developed compared to other villages, and more than 50% of villages are underdeveloped. If the Village SDGs are formulated through increasing VDI status, it will support the achievement of SDGs goals nationally.

Spatial Distribution of Nutrient in The Waters of Haruku Strait, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province

Strait waters are influenced by tides, water masses and surrounding land. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of nutrients in the waters of the Haruku Strait, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. The research method used is the survey method by taking water samples. Water samples were taken from 17 observation stations spread across the Haruku Strait at depths of 1 meter, 25 meters and 50 meters using the Niskin Bottle Water Sampler. Nitrate concentration analysis using the OPTIZEN Alfa equipment (Spectrophotometer UV-Vis) and the Brucine Sulfate method (SNI: 06-2480-1991) and phosphate concentration analysis using the Ammonium Molybdate method (APHA 10th ed. 5400-PD, 1998). The time of observation took place on July 23, 2022. The results showed that the average concentration of nitrate at a depth of 1 m was 1.146 ± 0.647 mg/L, a depth of 25 m was 1.148 ± 0.709 mg/L and a depth of 50 m was 1.136 ± 0.701 mg/L while the average concentration of phosphate at a depth of 1m was 0.051 ± 0.028 mg/L, a depth of 25 m was 0.053 ± 0.029 mg/L and at a depth of 50 m was 0.049 ± 0.020 mg/L. The waters of the Banda Sea, the Seram Strait and contributions from the rivers on the coast of Ambon Island play a role in the distribution of nutrients in the waters of the Haruku Strait.

KAJIAN KARAKTERISTIK SOSIAL, EKONOMI DAN BUDAYA MASYARAKAT ADAT SEKITAR KELOMPOK HUTAN LINDUNG GUNUNG SIRIMAU KOTA AMBON PROVINSI MALUKU

This study aims to analyze the social, economic and cultural characteristics of the community around the Mount Sirimau Protected Forest Group in Ambon City, Maluku Province. In this study, we use an interdisciplinary approach to understand the relationship between humans and the environment in the region. Data was collected through field surveys, interviews and literature studies. The results of the analysis show that communities around protected forests have a high dependence on natural resources provided by these forests as their main source of livelihood. They also have a rich culture, with a diversity of traditions, beliefs and cultural practices deeply rooted in their daily lives. However, this study also reveals the social and economic challenges faced by society, including limited access to public services and income inequality. The importance of community participation in protected forest management is also highlighted in this study. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in protected forest management, which takes into account social, economic, cultural and ecological aspects. Collaboration between government, non-government organizations and local communities is needed to formulate sustainable strategies to preserve protected forests and improve the welfare of surrounding communities.

Duan Lolat culture during the times capital city of Jakarta

The capital city of Jakarta is one of the places that most people in Indonesia want to visit, including people from West Southeast Maluku ethnicity, Maluku Province. Not a few migrants from West Southeast Maluku who live in Jakarta when returning to their hometowns invite their relatives to try their luck in the capital city of Jakarta. They come to settle down while still preserving the customs and culture of the people of West Southeast Maluku better known as the Tanimbar Islands. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the duan lolat culture that is still preserved by migrant communities from the Tanimbar islands even though they have migrated to the capital city of Jakarta and its surroundings. One of them is the value of kinship called Duan Lolat. The research was conducted using the historical method. The sources used were written sources such as literature studies, documents, and interviews with traditional leaders and Tanimbar people in Jakarta. The results of this study show that Duan and Lolat are social statuses derived from marital relationships, and marriage is the basis for determining the social status of Duan and Lolat. In marriage, the party who gives the daughter will in turn become Duan, while the party who receives the daughter will become Lolat. After marriage, the female family becomes Duan while the male family, the offspring of the married couple, becomes Lolat from the female family. The institutionalization of the Duan Lolat value occurs throughout human life, starting from birth, marriage, house construction, to death.

ANALISIS PEMANGKU KEPENTINGAN (STAKEHOLDER) TERHADAP PENGELOLAAN SUMBERDAYA AIR DAS WAE BATU MERAH KOTA AMBON

This study aims to identify the main roles and tasks of relevant stakeholders in managing water resources and analyze the stakeholders influence and interests in managing water resources of the Wae Batu Merah Watershed of Ambon City. The research method uses a descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sampling method was purposive sampling, which in this research was 13 agencies/institutions/Apparatus Organizations (OPD). The research identified relevant stakeholders main roles and tasks in the management of water resources of the Wae Batu Merah Watershed in Ambon City including 13 Regional OPD/ agencies/ government/institutions. The results of mapping the influence and interests of stakeholders related to water resources management in the Batu Merah watershed show that there are four stakeholders in quadrant I (subjects), namely the Soya State Government, Batu Merah State Government, PT Dream Sukses Arindo and PDAM Kota Ambon. Quadrant II (Player) are the River Basin Center of Maluku Province, the Maluku Provincial Forestry Service. The Maluku Provincial Watershed Management Center, and the Disaster Management Agency of Ambon City. Quadrant III (Crowd) are the Maluku Provincial Watershed Forum, and the Regional Technical Implementation Unit Forest Management Unit of Ambon City. Finally, quadrant IV (context setters), are the Research and Development Agency of Ambon City, the Regional Development Planning Agency of Maluku Province, and the Environment Office of Maluku Province.

Understanding the mediating role of perceived risk in the relationship between price, product quality, and copra repurchase intention in North Maluku province

This study aims to examine the relationship between perceived risk, price, and product quality as it pertains to the intention to repurchase copra in North Maluku Province. Coconut meat, commonly known as copra, is the raw material for making crude coconut oil. Apart from being a superior commodity and contributing greatly to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of North Maluku Province from the agricultural sector, this product has experienced a decline in purchases since 2022 until now. We used a quantitative method based on SEM analysis, with a sample size of 120 respondents. The primary data collection technique used was a questionnaire. While this study did find a significant relationship between product quality and perceived risk and between perceived risk and repurchase intention, it did not find a significant relationship between price and repurchase intention or product quality and repurchase intention directly. Concurrently, there is full mediation in the indirect influence of product quality on repurchase intention; that is, perceived risk is a key component of the relationship between product quality and repurchase intention. If buyers feel that there is a low risk associated with product quality, they will be more likely to consider repeat purchases. Perceived risk can include financial, operational, and reputational risks associated with poor-quality products.

Implementation of the Food Strengthening Policy in the Agricultural Sector by the Agriculture Office of North Maluku Province in the Jailolo Sub-District

This study aims to analyze the implementation of food-strengthening policies by the North Maluku Provincial Agriculture Office in Jailolo District. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with farmers, Department of Agriculture staff, and local community leaders. Data analysis is carried out using content analysis techniques. Research findings show that the implementation of food-strengthening policies in the Jailolo sub-district faces various challenges, including limited human and financial resources. Despite this, some measures have been taken to increase agricultural productivity and food availability. Recommendations are prepared to improve the effectiveness of policy implementation, including improved coordination among stakeholders and adequate budget allocation. This research is expected to contribute to the improvement of agricultural policies and practices at the local and regional levels

KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM PENGELOLAAN KERBAU MOA PADA MASYARAKAT PULAU MOA PROVINSI MALUKU

The purpose of this study is a study of the application of local wisdom in the management of Moa buffalo. This research was conducted on Moa Island, Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. The research used survey method. The data collected consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data collection was carried out using FGD techniques and observations involving farmers, traditional stakeholders, saniri, soa heads, village heads, government representatives. Secondary data are obtained through the results of previous research and related agencies. Data is analyzed descriptively through several stages, namely surveys, research implementation, data analysis, discussion and conclusions. The results showed that until now local wisdom practices in the management of Moa buffalo that are passed down from generation to generation still exist which include the division of shepherd groups in East Moa based on soa or clan system and the use of buffalo as a tool of customary sanctions. The use of buffalo for traditional ceremonies is not judged based on the selling price but is determined based on body weight and amount in accordance with applicable customary rules. Moa buffalo is also used for dowry, house cover, medium of exchange (buying land and motor vehicles), marking on livestock (ear tags), grazing systems and housing (lutur). The use of buffalo for traditional death ceremonies is no longer used because it is considered burdensome for bereaved families.

A Luang-Szigetek helyi bölcsessége: A ‘Hygeralay’ történeti aspektusai

This research aims to identify hygeralai from a historical aspect as one of the local types of local knowledge that lives in the indigenous community of Luang Island, Maluku Province, Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative research method with a historical approach. Data collection techniques in this research through in-depth interviews, field observations and literature studies. The analysis technique used in this research is historical analysis. The results of field research show that the etymology of hygeralai began as a sign of identity, a sign of ownership, a sign of territorial boundaries and used by the ancestors of Luang Island at that time. In its development, it underwent changes related to several attributes and organization when Protestant Christianity entered. The results of exploration in the field show that the etymology of hygeralai is also influenced by the environment and geography. This is evidenced by its affiliation with one of the plants that grow on Luang Island, the koli tree. From this affiliation material, it is also important to display the position of Luang Island in the division of flora in Indonesia according to Wallacea and Weber line. Thus, we can analyze the history of plant movements used by the ancestors in etymology of hygeralai. The hygeralai research results from this historical position are then compared in general with other terms in Maluku related to environmental and natural resource management. The results of this research contribute to local history, especially the management of natural resources based on local wisdom in coastal communities and border areas.

Efektivitas Hukum Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Maluku Utara: Studi Kasus Pulau Rao

The use of prohibited fishing gear continues to pose a serious threat to aquatic ecosystems. The Regional Water Conservation Area Agency (Balai Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Daerah or KKPD) in North Maluku plays a crucial role in educating the public on responsible fishing practices for the sustainability of the region. However, insufficient socialization and monitoring in the conservation area of Pulau Mare have led to illegal fishing activities that harm the ecosystem. Lack of transparency in information regarding the performance of the KKPD becomes a challenge, leaving the community unaware of the progress in surveillance, rehabilitation, and utilization by the agency. This research analyzes the legal effectiveness of water conservation area management in North Maluku Province, focusing on the Pulau Rao-Tanjung Dehegila Conservation Area. The research employs a juridical-empirical method with primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data from literature studies. Ministerial Decree No. 67/KEPMEN-KP/2020 and Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation No. 31/PERMEN-KP/2020 mandate proper management. However, the implementation of these regulations has yet to be effective. In conclusion, water conservation area management in North Maluku requires increased socialization to raise awareness and garner public support for established programs. Further efforts are needed to ensure the effectiveness of these programs.

The Role of the Police Force as a Law Enforcement Agency in Preventing Drug Trafficking in the Sea Routes of North Maluku Province Indonesia

This research aims to examine the role of the police force in enforcing the law on drug trafficking via sea routes in North Maluku Province, Indonesia. It also aims to analyze the factors that hinder the effective law enforcement against drug abuse in North Maluku Province. This was empirical legal research which was conducted by studying the legal reality in the field. Indonesia is a great potential market for drugs. North Maluku province becomes one of the gateways to smuggle drugs into Indonesia via sea routes. Unfortunately, the authorities that have the authority to carry out action or prevention have not performed as expected. Therefore, the involvement of the community, especially fishermen in this area, is a necessity. There must also be the support of other authorities such as the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Indonesian National Navy, to prevent the spread of drugs in North Maluku.

Relationships between soil compaction and soil physical-chemical-biological characteristics: A case study from volcanic agricultural soils of Entisol and Ultisol in North Maluku Province of Indonesia

Soil compaction has been recognized as a form of soil degradation that mostly deteriorates agricultural soil health worldwide from various climatic conditions and soil management. Heavy compaction can occur in agricultural soils due to intensive tillage, where its effects on soil properties have been the focus of many studies. The present study was undertaken to assess whether soil compaction occurs in agricultural soils adopting no-tillage systems and how the link between soil compaction and chemical-biological characteristics could be. A field investigation was carried out in two different locations that have different soil types, Entisol in Maitara Island and Ultisol in Halmahera Island, North Maluku Province. Sixteen undisturbed and disturbed soil samples were collected from each location grown with cassava and taken to the laboratory for analysis. Soil components observed included soil texture, bulk density, particle density, total porosity, soil permeability, soil organic matter (SOM), total nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P) availability, and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB). The findings revealed linear relationships between soil compaction and sand fraction, SOM, PSB, and available P, but none were found in soil total N. These results confirmed the importance of soil compaction management in food crop agricultural systems, particularly when soil carbon is low, to promote soil health. As the inconsistent correlation of soil compaction and chemical-biological properties was found in these two soil types, further investigation is necessary.

Ecological potential of giant clams in Ambon Island waters, Eastern Indonesia

Giant clams are protected marine organisms universally, thus information on giant clams is important for management purposes. This research was conducted in July to August 2021 in Morella and Suli, Ambon Island Maluku Province to get information on ecological potential which consist of species composition, density, occurrence frequency and diversity of giant clams. Sample was collected by using linear quadrat transect line. As many as 25 quadrants (10x10m) were used in both locations. Every individual of giant clams found in the quadrant was identified, photographed and counted. There were three species of giant clams found in Morella namely Tridacna crocea, T. maxima, and T. squamosa while four species were found in Suli i.e. those three species mentions earlier and Hippopus Hippopus. Totally, T. crocea had more individuals followed by T. squamosa and then T. maxima while the lesser belonged to H. Hippopus with one individual. Density of giant clams in Morella (428 ind./ha) was much higher than density of giant clams in Suli (48 ind./ha). Giant clams in Morella can be found in 16 - 19 quadrants of 25 quadrants used while in Suli only found in 1 - 6 quadrants. Ecological indexes for diversity, evenness and dominance showed that giant clams in Morella and Suli had moderate diversity, high evenness and low dominance.

Pelatihan Kesiapsiagaan Bencana Gempa Bumi pada Guru SMP di Kota Masohi Kabupaten Maluku Tengah

Maluku Province, including Central Maluku, is one of the areas where earthquakes occur most frequently and is at risk of causing problems in people's lives. To overcome the impacts, efforts need to be made to minimize losses due to earthquakes, namely by providing information about disaster preparedness through public facilities such as schools. This is supported by the participation of school stakeholders, one of which is teachers. This community service aims to increase the earthquake preparedness of SMPN teachers in Masohi City. This service activity was carried out through earthquake disaster preparedness training for 60 teachers from 3 SMPN schools in Masohi City, which included providing education, simulation mentoring, and evaluation. The results of this training were proven to be able to improve disaster preparedness for SMPN teachers in Masohi City as evidenced by the increase in the disaster knowledge score (KAP) from 69 to 82; emergency response plan (EP) from 75 to 85; disaster warning (WS) from 60 to 79; resource mobilization (RMC) from 57.4 to 76. Through this training, it is hoped that teachers, especially class teachers, can inform and train students and other teachers in disaster preparedness, especially earthquakes.

Analisis Penyajian dan Pengungkapan Aset Bersejarah (Studi Kasus Pada Museum Negeri Siwalima Provinsi Maluku)

This study aims to determine the disclosure and presentation of Heritage Assets according to PSAP 07 of 2010 at the Siwalima Museum, Maluku Province. The type of research used in this study is a case study research with a qualitative approach. The necessary data were obtained through interviews, observation, documentation, as well as secondary data related to this research. The results of the study show that the presentation of heritage assets is not in accordance with PASP No. 07 of 2010. They are not presented in the Notes to the Financial Statements where historical assets are supposed to be included. Instead, heritage assets are listed in the Notes to the Financial Statements in terms of units, without any corresponding values, but they are explained in the Museum Items Inventory Book.

Effect of Murrotal Al-Qur’an Audio on First Stage Labor Pain among Maternity Women

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Murrotal Al-quran Audio on first stage labor pain among maternity women in Prof. dr. J. A Latumeten Hospital Maluku Province, Indonesia. The study design is quasy experimental. The population is all maternity women who were in the first stage labor in Januari 2022 which consisted of 68 women. 30 women were selected purposively and agreed to join the study. The inclusion criteria are muslim women who had no hearing problems and labor complication. The intervention was an audio of Murrotal Al-quran Surah Ar-Rahman for 30 minutes. A numeric rating scale was used to measure the pain level before and after intervention. The bivariate analysis was done by Mann Whitney test. The results show that majority of women (60%) experienced a moderate level of pain before and after intervention in the control group. While, in the experiment group, majority of women (60%) experienced moderate level of pain before intervention and majority of them (66,6%) experienced mild level of pain after intervention. The bivariate analysis shows that there was a significant difference of pain score between experiment and control group after intervention (p= .005). In addition, there was a significant difference of pain score before and after intervention in the experiment group (p= .005). There was an effect of Murrotal Al-quran Audio on first stage labor pain among maternity women in Prof. dr. J. A Latumeten Hospital Maluku Province, Indonesia in 2022. The Murrotal Al-quran Audio is effective to decrease labor pain among maternity women. Nurses and midwives who work in the labor room are urged to implement the murroral Al-quran Audio to help maternity women in decreasing labor pain.
