Trends of Printing Industry

In conjunction with the rapid development of computer technology and the progress of digital technology in the past ten years, printing industry is changing its business style. The dominance of digital processing and the emergence of the CTP accelerate the integration of the reproduction process and the plate making process. As for the printing press, ‘Direct imaging press’, ‘Electrophotography and Inkjet printer satisfied the demand of high quality digital imaging’ are developed and used in a area of ‘short run’and ‘on-demand’ printing. In addition to those situation, the environmental requirement is another factor of the changes in the printing industry. Because the exclusion of VOCs are demanded for the purpose of the earth-environment preservation and improving working environment, the use of soy oil increased as a substitution for the organic solvents in the printing ink. The development of waterbased ink has also been discussed to meet this demand. Here. I would like to address the trends of the printing industry from the technical point of view and its effect on the characteristic of the coated paper.

Advanced on‐board processing for user oriented communication systems

AbstractThe continuing improvement of RF components, particularly in the field of spot‐beam antennas, combined with the steady progress in digital technology, leads us to consider the advantages of a satellite system able to provide full connectivity to ground stations operating at different data rates. For low data rates, two different access methods: continuous TDM and Multi‐carrier TDMA, are compared for earth‐stations operating at 2Mb/s. The two methods are compared from the point of view of efficiency and adaptability in a non‐uniform load environment.Some control criteria are proposed for the Multi‐carrier system.Both methods are particularly suited for small users.

Fuzzy Data Base Application To The CourseControl System Of The Underwater VehicleKrab 2

Adaptive control systems based on the parameters identification of the object are not the good solution for small underwater vehicles (UV) because the state of such vehicles can change very fast. The progress of digital technology enables the use of more complex control algorithms, which can work in real time. One of solutions is the combination of an adaptive control with a fuzzy gain scheduling control (control system based on vehicle parameters fuzzy data base). The parameters data base enables the controller coefficients adaptation to fast changes of the vehicle state. The identification of parameters in the data base enables the adaptation to external conditions and vehicle equipment changes.
