OPTIMALISASI PERAN APARAT PEMERINTAH DALAM PEMBENTUKAN PERATURAN DESA YANG PARTISIPATIF UNTUK MENDUKUNG PENGUATAN DESA TANGGUH BENCANA DI DESA SOGINTI KECAMATAN PAGUAT KABUPATEN POHUWATO

Soginti Village located in Paguat District, Paguat District, Pohuwato Regency in 2024 was affected by a natural disaster, namely a flood that harmed residents. In order to overcome this, proper handling is needed through the formation of village regulations. The purpose of this activity is to develop innovative work results that have utility value and benefits for the wider community, improve the quality of research and community service in the Gorontalo State University environment which is superior and competitive and ready to face global challenges. Implementation method. Implementation method The activity was carried out through the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program which is an activity based on Community Service in Soginti Village through mentoring, workshops and tree planting. The results of the implementation of this community service, namely KKN, have implemented 3 work programs, namely the creation of Disaster Resilient Village Regulations, Workshops on optimizing the role of government officials in the formation of participatory village regulations to support the strengthening of disaster resilient villages and Planting of living kitchens. The program implemented in Soginti Village received support from the government and community members so that it could run well.

Guru Inovatif dan Kreatif Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Menggunakan Aplikasi CANVA

Innovative and creative teachers can be trained through socialization and training activities for teachers. This activity aims to expand teacher knowledge and improve teacher skills in utilizing technology through the preparation and creation of teaching materials using the Canva application. The community service activities carried out by the PKM team of the Superior Human Resources Supporting Lecturer Program (PDPSU) at the State Elementary School located at Jl. Jawa 01, PAHANDUT, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province, have several stages, namely (1) Participation method, namely the community service team actively participates in providing knowledge socialization activities to teachers regarding the important role of teaching materials in learning, then material on how to utilize technology through the Canva application and link it to local wisdom; (2) Survey method, namely distributing questionnaires to training participants before and after implementation, as well as a satisfaction survey of community service partners and (3) Training, namely the community service team provides skills training to teachers to create teaching materials in the form of animated folk tales using the Canva application; (4) Activity Evaluation. This community service activity aims to produce innovative and creative teachers in compiling interesting teaching materials based on local wisdom. Increasing Tourist Attraction at Sumber Dhuwur, Wonosari Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency

Community service activities are one of the mandatory activities at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo, where this service activity takes the form of the Enlightenment Real Work Lecture program. One of the work program areas that is the main focus is the tourism sector. The aim of this work program is to increase the number of tourist visits to Sumber Tourism. Service activities carried out at the Sumber Dhuwur tourist attraction, Wonosari Ngoro, Mojokerto. The method used in collecting data was observation, interviews and documentation which were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. This service activity can provide exposure and increase awareness of Sumber Dhuwur tourism through Instagram social media.

PELATIHAN PENGGUNAAN MESIN BOR DI DESA NAGASARI

In an increasingly advanced development in the modern era today makes many people use machines in everyday life, one example is a drilling machine as a tool for making holes, for that drilling machine has a very important role in an activity in society. Of course, not all people have the skills to use drilling machines, especially school children, even though these machines are often in the surrounding environment. So by organizing community service through the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program in Nagasari Village, Serang Baru District, Bekasi Regency, it aims to train the community to be given awareness that it is important to have the skills to use the machines around to increase knowledge about the use of drilling machines. The method of implementing community service applies community education in the form of socialization and training. The impact of the success of the training program on the use of drilling machines is in the form of increasing technical skills in using drilling machines safely and efficiently, thus making potential skills for participants in managing the technical needs of household tools and others.

Truths and Reconciliation: Reflections on the University of the West Indies and University of Leicester International Summer School 2023

The University of the West Indies and University of Leicester International Summer School is an annual event, a week-long programme of lectures, workshops and social activities aimed at supporting postgraduate research students and early career researchers predominantly from the UK and Caribbean. It is hosted alternately at the University of Leicester and the different campuses of the University of the West Indies, and since its inception has been spearheaded by Dr Lucy Evans and Professor Martin Halliwell at the University of Leicester, Dr Sonjah Stanley Niaah at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and Professor Michael A. Bucknor at the University of Alberta. The 2023 edition was hosted by University of Leicester’s School of Criminology from 5th to 10th of June, under the theme of ‘Crime, (In)Justice, Human Rights’. Sub-topics included crime and culture, histories and legacies, security, surveillance, the police and the state, human rights, gender and sexualities, reproductive rights, the environment, and race. It promised an opportunity to connect with researchers in similar or related fields from around the world, who we may have otherwise not met.

Ocean wave energy learning project (OWELP): a program to communicate alternative energy technology

ABSTRACT Background Efforts to communicate the use of alternative energy as a solution to the continued scarcity of world energy were continuously carried out. However, not all countries with abundant potential for alternative energy sources focus on this, resulting in a lack of human resources who study the field of alternative energy. Purpose This study aims to communicate the topic of ocean wave energy and its technology as an alternative energy source through the Ocean Wave Energy Learning Project (OWELP) program. Sample This study utilized a purposive sampling method on 31 pre-service physics teachers taking environmental physics courses at one of the universities in a small area in Indonesia. Methods This study utilized a mixed-method research of explanatory design. The first stage of quantitative research used a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection instruments were in the form of knowledge test sheets consisting of essay questions, observation sheets on the implementation of lecture programs, rubrics of product assessment, and interview sheets. The next stage is the phase of collecting qualitative data to explain the results obtained in the quantitative phase through interviews. Quantitative data on learning outcomes were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, a further test of effect size, and N-gain analysis, while the qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. Results The results of the data analysis showed that the OWELP program positively influenced students’ mastery of the concepts. The OWELP program also effectively increased pre-service physics teachers’ mastery of ocean wave energy concepts as an alternative energy source. In addition, the OWELP programcan indirectly equip various skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication. Conclusion The OWELP program can be used to improve pre-service physics teachers’ mastery of the concept of using ocean wave energy as an alternative energy source.

Persepsi Masyarakat Tentang Program KKN dan Dampaknya terhadap Sosial Budaya Desa Kebonagung

This research aims to reveal the perception of the people of Kebonagung Village towards the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program and its impact on the socio-cultural aspects of Kebonagung Village. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of the study show that public perception of KKN varies, ranging from positive to skeptical. Factors that affect this perception include direct experience with the KKN program, the level of education, and the level of involvement in village activities. In addition, this study also found that KKN has a positive impact on the socio-cultural aspects of the village, such as increasing public awareness, changing behavior, and strengthening mutual cooperation values.

Pemberdayaan Mayarakat Melalui Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Reguler Unkriswina Sumba Dibidang UMKM, Pangan Lokal, Pertanian, dan Pendidikan di Desa Mata Lombu

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is one of the lecture programs that must be provided and implemented by every university in order to achieve one of the goals and tri dharma, namely Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Mata Lombu is one of the villages selected to carry out the KKN program, but as a village in Indonesia, it is generally not free from several problems. Based on observations and social analysis carried out, there are various problems that need to be addressed including: (1) lack of community understanding regarding local food processing, (2) lack of understanding of farmers regarding preventing pests in crops, (3) lack of literacy and numeracy among students. Elementary and junior high schools in the village, (5) limited access to clean water, and (6) limitations of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in creating jobs. Based on a number of problems found during observations and social analysis, and the description in the background, the main objective of all these programs is to fulfill community service and empowerment in Mata Lombu Village through a project action planning framework or Project Action Plan (PAP). The series of Unkriswina Sumba Regular KKN activity methods includes the stages of program planning, implementation and evaluation. The results of this activity show that this activity can increase insight, understanding and new knowledge regarding local food, making bokashi fertilizer, making natural pesticides, and tutoring, and can increase crop yields, food security, reduce the impact of environmental pollution, and increase value. increase the economy of village communities.

Caries Risk Assessment in Adults with Highlights to Nutrigenomics and Nutrigenetics

Abstract Caries risk assessment and caries management by risk assessment cannot be related only to children and their parents' answers. Camra and Cariogram have been working for decades in few countries. Prediction and preventive measures are especially important for young adults (16-25 years old), young professionals (25-35 years old), before pregnancy and during menopause. Aim To develop a card for an easy caries risk assessment with chair-aside questions, clinical examination and salivary tests. To draw up a protocol for patient treatment and follow-up related to the caries risk. Methodology It is based on the data of 1,167 participants in 6 different clinical studies conducted within various research trials, granted programmes and projects during the 30-year period from 1988 to 2018. Prediction of risk can be useful if 4 groups, i.e. low risk, moderate risk, high risk and very high risk groups are evaluated. Results Packages of measures were targeted for each group. Among the important factors were the type, habits and frequency of nutrition, detected with 6 targeted questions, lifestyle hygiene with 5 questions, dental status with 6 parameters (DMFT scores, gingival status, size of teeth, etc.) and oral hygiene. Biochemical patterns of saliva, i.e. salivary flow rate and pH, with and without stimulation were included. Low risk and Moderate risk groups of different ages do not need further tests. High risk and Very high risk groups can be additionally tested with chair-aside tests for Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacilli counts and oral sucrose clearance for preventive evaluation of dental caries management. The card validation and tests last no longer than 40 minutes, 1 page for a single patient. Conclusions Caries risk in adults can be measured, assessed and predicted in relation to nutrigenomics. Treatment behaviour can be managed and targeted for each patient, according to the group for long, lifetime saving of natural teeth in the mouth. In the last 100 years, concentrated and refined foods have decreased all sizes of the upper first and second incisors as a natural physiological response and a change has been observed in the anatomy of canines, making them stronger via enlargement of their MD sizes. From this current academic year, "Caries risk" is included into our new lecture programme.

Potensi Ketahanan Pangan sebagai Perekonomian Desa Sababilah dalam Mendukung Ketersediaan Pangan Kabupaten Barito Selatan

With lowland topography and a tropical climate, this village has fertile soil that is ideal for various plants. The 2024 Real Work Lecture Program (KKN-T) from Palangka Raya University focuses on developing food security by planting various plants using innovative planting media containers such as drinking water glasses and providing technical assistance in watermelon harvesting. The results of the activity show that this agricultural technique is effective in utilizing local resources and increasing crop yields. To increase success, it is recommended that villages expand modern agricultural training, involve communities more actively, and develop local markets for agricultural products. Regular evaluation is also important to ensure the program's sustainability and positive impact.

Transformasi Limbah Menjadi Hijau: Revitalisasi Taman Desa Sukaresmi Melalui Pengelolaan Limbah

This program aims to enhance collective awareness among residents about the importance of waste management and environmental preservation, making Desa Sukaresmi a pioneer in sustainable waste management practices that can be emulated by other villages The method used in this service is direct observation in Desa Sukaresmi The results obtained from this service include the revitalization of a beautiful village park in front of the Desa Sukaresmi office, with a satisfaction rating of 90% from the community of Desa Sukaresmi.

Pendidikan Sosial “Anti Bullying” di SDN Gondek Jombang oleh Peserta KKN-T UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur

Bullying has long been a part of school life and is an issue that has a negative impact on children's growth and development. This research aims to increase awareness about bullying through outreach carried out at SD Negeri Gondek, Jombang, East Java. This socialization was carried out in the context of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) program to provide education to class IV and V students about the dangers of bullying and the importance of creating a safe school environment. The results of the socialization show that students' understanding of bullying has increased significantly, whereas previously most students were not aware of the impact of this action. This program was successful in changing students' perceptions and encouraging their active participation in preventing bullying at school. The success of this initiative highlights the importance of collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and students in ongoing efforts to create inclusive and safe environments. Regular evaluation and further development of supporting programs is highly recommended to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of this program.

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Mutu Pariwisata Dalam Mengembangkan UMKM Di Teluk Makmur

UMKM have a strategic role and potential, namely being able to absorb strategies that can increase the productivity of tourism quality in development in Teluk Makmur Village, Medang Kampai District, Dumai City. The purpose of this Real Work Lecture Program is to help the community improve the quality of tourism in developing UMKM in Teluk Makmur. The method used is literature and qualitative descriptive. In this Real Work Lecture Program, the development of UMKM and tourism quality is carried out by promotion and advertising on social media platforms so that many people are interested in tourism.

Pendampingan dan Pelatihan Pemasaran Digital pada UMKM Roti Desa Rengas Sumatera Selatan

Marketing strategies are needed to increase sales of bakery products. Labeling and packaging capabilities, as well as the use of innovative marketing methods, are still lacking among MSME Partners. The team is trying to increase the potential of MSME products with digital marketing training and food variants. The activity method is in the form of assisting students and teams in the 61st Muhammadiyah University of Palembang Real Work Lecture (KKN) program in Rengas I Village. This program includes identifying needs, planning, implementing and using various innovation materials as well as the Instagram and Facebook platforms. This activity takes the form of assistance from February to April 2024. Various variations of flavors and bread toppings are produced, then pictures and videos have been posted on digital marketing on Instagram and Facebook. The conclusion shows that support for MSMEs has a positive impact on the production of various types of bread. It is necessary to find out more about other social media platforms, such as TikTok and Twitter, in order to understand more efficient digital marketing strategies related to consumer behavior and preferences.

Kuliah Kerja Nyata: Membangun Generasi Muda Cerdas dan Kreatif, Serta Memperbaiki Desa Berkualitas, dan Edukasi Perpajakan pada Gen Z di Desa Lubang Buaya, Setu, Kab. Bekasi

The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) has been implemented in Lubang Buaya Village, Setu, Kab. Bekasi. In this program we seek to help local communities overcome the problems in the economic, educational, social and health sectors as well as in the infrastructure and environmental sectors that they face. This article discusses KKN's efforts to develop the potential of the younger generation, especially Generation Z, through strengthening intelligent and creative education. Apart from that, this article also highlights improvements to village facility infrastructure to improve the quality of life of local communities. During KKN activities, various tax education programs are carried out to increase public understanding and awareness, especially generation Z, about the obligations and benefits of taxation. Through the integration of these activities, it is hoped that a young generation can be created that is not only intelligent and creative, but also has social awareness and the ability to contribute to sustainable village development.

Influence of Visiting Lecturer's Quality on Indonesian-Malaysian Student Perceptions

This article highlights the importance of a lecturer's success when providing a learning process to their students. For this reason, the study of the success of the learning process needs to be researched by looking at the influence of learning quality on student perceptions. The Faculty of Communication Sciences of Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) has conducted a series of Online Visiting Lecturers in collaboration with the Faculty of Leadership and Management (FKP), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). The study opted comparative quantitative research approach to investigate the influence of teaching quality on Indonesian-Malaysian Students’ Persception among the students who have participated in the visiting lecturer program. Based on the results of the calculation of R-square and R-value, the teaching quality positive influences the perception of Indonesian student by 54,3% and that of Malaysian student by 73.7%. It demonstrated that the teaching quality of the visiting lecturer program positively influences the perceptions of Indonesian-Malaysian students.

This article discusses the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation. A lecture and educational program with students at the Law College of KNU aimed at preventing bad habits and forming a healthy lifestyle is described. The causes and consequences of alcohol consumption, smoking, drug addiction, and computer and internet addiction among adolescents and youth were analyzed. Methods of prevention have been proposed, including conversations, discussions, role-playing games, watching films, meetings with doctors, and people who have successfully overcome addictions. Special attention is paid to the role of sports and proper nutrition in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Psychological aspects and motivational strategies that contribute to sustainable behavior change were also considered.

Rewang sebagai Rintisan Program Kepedulian Lingkungan Berkelanjutan Berbasis Komunitas di Desa Sambilawang Kecamatan Trangkil Kabupaten Pati

This study aims to reveal how an environment-based community service program in the "REWANG" (Resik-Resik Sambilawang) program, a community service program in the field of sustainable and community-based environment in Sambilawang Village, Trangkil District, Pati Regency. "Rewang" is a real work lecture (KKN) program conducted by students of Institut Pesantren Mathali'ul Falah Pati in Sambilawang Village. The method or approach used in implementing this "Rewang" program is the ABCD (Asset Based Communities Development) method, namely asset-based community empowerment. The result of this research is that the "Rewang" program involves three main pillars of community empowerment, namely: environmental, economic and educational pillars. The Rewang program in the environmental sector includes: First, river normalization and sterilization. Secondly, the formation of the "Rewang" Team, which comes from the community of Sambilawang Village. The "Rewang" program in the economic sector is to initiate a garbage collection service team. Rewang's programs in the education sector are: Firstly, housekeeping training for students. Second, the environmental cleanliness campaign movement.

Optimalisasi Digital Marketing di Marketplace

This Real Work Lecture (KKN) program aims to improve the digital marketing skills of MSME players in Sekaran Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang City. With technological developments, digital marketing has become important to expand market reach and increase sales. This activity includes training and seminars on the basics of digital marketing, choosing the right marketplace, optimizing seller accounts, as well as implementing SEO and decorating online stores. Participants are also invited to practice directly creating an account, uploading products, and optimizing their shop. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in digital marketing, as well as an increase in traffic and sales on their marketplace accounts. This program has succeeded in having a positive impact on MSMEs, helping them utilize technology to achieve greater business success
