The purpose of this research is to find out what the savings products at BPRS Fadhilah are, to find out the prices of savings products at BPRS, to find out what the location of BPRS Fadhilah is, to find out what promotions are carried out by BPRS Fadhilah. This research is field research, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This research data collection used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The research results show that the products available at BPRS Fadhilah are of high quality and have advantages such as implementing a cash pickup service pattern with customers who use savings products. And the prices of savings products at BPRS Fadhilah are very affordable and in line with the quality and benefits of savings products with no administration costs. On the other hand, BPRS Fadhilah is located on Jl. A. Yani, District. Tlk Segara, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu 38119. This location is very strategic, and the promotions carried out by BPRS Fadhilah are direct and indirect promotions. And the media used by BPRS Fadhilah in marketing savings products are Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. It can be concluded that BPRS Fadhilah's savings products are currently good and of good quality at affordable prices and in accordance with the benefits of the savings products, and the place/location of BPRS Fadhilah is very strategic and has a comfortable office, finally there are two promotions carried out by BPRS Fadhilah, namely promotions directly and indirectly.

Evaluation of the benefits of tradable peak energy use rights products

Environmental degradation and energy security issues require our country to accelerate the transition of its energy consumption structure towards decarbonization. Clarifying the impact of the pilot trading system of peak energy use rights products on the low-carbon transformation of energy consumption structure and the path of its effect is an important policy revelation for the construction of market-based environmental rights and interests regulation. In this paper, we study the implementation effect of the pilot provinces of peak energy use right product trading from the perspective of carbon emission reduction benefit and analyze the carbon emission reduction benefit generated by the peak energy use right product according to the pilot trading situation.

Merged and Gridded GPM and Atmospheric River Data Product

AbstractThe Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Mission Core Observatory satellite launched in 2014 as a joint mission between National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and JAXA. Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) has, since that time, provided continuous, valuable dual‐frequency radar and passive microwave radiometer observations. Here, we introduce a gridded data set of collocated GPM Core Observatory observational products merged with a reanalysis‐derived Atmospheric river (AR) data set in the North Atlantic and North Pacific sectors. The three data sets that are merged and gridded are: (a) the NASA Goddard Profiling (GPROF) precipitation product, which uses GPM passive microwave radiometer observations to derive surface precipitation rates, (b) a water vapor data product derived from the GPM Core Observatory radiometer, provided by Remote Sensing Systems (RSS), and (c) the Mattingly et al. (2018, https://doi.org/10.1029/2018jd028714) AR data set that is specifically tuned to the high‐latitude regions. This novel merged data set spans from May 2014 to December 2022 with plans to update annually through 2026 at minimum. This gridded product combines RSS passive water vapor and precipitation estimates with coincident AR detection. This data product benefits the scientific community by providing (a) user‐friendly gridded satellite data compared to standard satellite data sets, while maintaining high temporal resolution, and (b) coincident satellite observations to assess the link between ARs and precipitation.

The development of nanocarriers for natural products.

Natural bioactive compounds from plants exhibit substantial pharmacological potency and therapeutic value. However, the development of most plant bioactive compounds is hindered by low solubility and instability. Conventional pharmaceutical forms, such as tablets and capsules, only partially overcome these limitations, restricting their efficacy. With the recent development of nanotechnology, nanocarriers can enhance the bioavailability, stability, and precise intracellular transport of plant bioactive compounds. Researchers are increasingly integrating nanocarrier-based drug delivery systems (NDDS) into the development of natural plant compounds with significant success. Moreover, natural products benefit from nanotechnological enhancement and contribute to the innovation and optimization of nanocarriers via self-assembly, grafting modifications, and biomimetic designs. This review aims to elucidate the collaborative and reciprocal advancement achieved by integrating nanocarriers with botanical products, such as bioactive compounds, polysaccharides, proteins, and extracellular vesicles. This review underscores the salient challenges in nanomedicine, encompassing long-term safety evaluations of nanomedicine formulations, precise targeting mechanisms, biodistribution complexities, and hurdles in clinical translation. Further, this study provides new perspectives to leverage nanotechnology in promoting the development and optimization of natural plant products for nanomedical applications and guiding the progression of NDDS toward enhanced efficiency, precision, and safety. Potential Anti-Tumorigenic Properties of Diverse Medicinal Plants against the Majority of Common Types of Cancer.

Globally, cancer is one of the primary causes of both morbidity and mortality. To prevent cancer from getting worse, more targeted and efficient treatment plans must be developed immediately. Recent research has demonstrated the benefits of natural products for several illnesses, and these products have played a significant role in the development of novel treatments whose bioactive components serve as both chemotherapeutic and chemo-preventive agents. Phytochemicals are naturally occurring molecules obtained from plants that have potential applications in both cancer therapy and the development of new medications. These phytochemicals function by regulating the molecular pathways connected to the onset and progression of cancer. Among the specific methods are immune system control, inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, preventing proliferation, raising antioxidant status, and inactivating carcinogens. A thorough literature review was conducted using Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Google Patent, Patent Scope, and US Patent to obtain the data. To provide an overview of the anticancer effects of several medicinal plants, including Annona muricata, Arctium lappa, Arum palaestinum, Cannabis sativa, Catharanthus roseus, Curcuma longa, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Hibiscus, Kalanchoe blossfeldiana, Moringa oleifera, Nerium oleander, Silybum marianum, Taraxacum officinale, Urtica dioica, Withania somnifera L., their availability, classification, active components, pharmacological activities, signaling mechanisms, and potential side effects against the most common cancer types were explored.

Valuing resources in Thailand using the budget constraint method

This study develops comprehensive monetary conversion factors for Thailand to apply in life cycle assessment (LCA) in order to account for environmental externalities associated with products and services. An innovative methodology integrates resource scarcity alongside six determinants within the budget constraint approach to derive lacking economic production factors. The estimated potential gross economic production per capita represents the willingness to pay for alleviating damages. Impact assessment data is then monetized into quality adjusted life years, biodiversity adjusted hectare years, and monetary values. The resulting factors enable consistent valuation of environmental costs and benefits of products and services alongside techno-economic aspects. The outcomes are relevant to sustainability assessment and reporting needs by offering localized means to quantify dependencies and externalities. Application of developed monetary conversion factors to energy, transport, industry, infrastructure, and tourism sectors can internalize environmental impacts from production and consumption activities. The methodology provides policymakers and businesses with a holistic measure to make informed decisions aligned with sustainability goals and resilient economic growth. By reconciling development with resource conservation, this research aims to steer decisions that improve societal well-being and economic growth in balance with the planet.

Optimization of Gold Pawn Product Advantages to Increase Customer Base

The objective of this study is to examine the main characteristics that impact customer satisfaction with pawn products at BPRS Bhakti Sumekar, with a specific focus on its Waru Branch. Data for this study were gathered using a qualitative descriptive approach, through interviews conducted with the management, employees, and customers of BPRS Bhakti Sumekar's Waru Branch. In addition, supplementary data were acquired from papers, journals, and internal records of the bank. The research aims to maximize the benefits of gold pawn products in order to broaden the consumer base. BPRS Bhakti Sumekar, previously named BPR Bhakti Sumekar, is a Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) located in Sumenep Regency. It was founded on September 16, 2002, first as a limited liability company (PT) before converting to a BUMD status. BPRS Bhakti Sumekar has a notable presence in the local financial sector with two Cash Offices and 28 Branch Offices, one of which is the Waru Branch.

Nature's Toolbox for Alzheimer's Disease: A Review on the Potential of Natural Products as Alzheimer's Disease Drugs

Numerous clinical trials involving natural products have been conducted to observe cognitive performances and biomarkers in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) patients. However, to date, no natural-based drugs have been approved by the FDA as treatments for AD. In this review, natural product-based compounds that were tested in clinical trials from 2011 to 2023, registered at www.clinicaltrials.gov were reviewed. Thirteen compounds, encompassing 7 different mechanisms of action were covered. Several observations were deduced, which are: i) several compounds showed cognitive improvement, but these improvements may not extend to AD, ii) compounds that are endogenous to the human body showed better outcomes, and iii) Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and cerebrolysin had the most potential as AD drugs among the 13 compounds. Based on the current findings, natural products may be more suitable as a supplement than AD drugs in most cases. However, the studies covered here were conducted in a relatively short amount of time, where compounds acting on AD pathways may take time to show any effect. Given the diverse pathways that these natural products are involved in, they may potentially produce synergistic effects that would be beneficial in treating AD. Additionally, natural products benefit from both physicochemical properties being in more favorable ranges and active transport playing a more significant role than it does for synthetic compounds.

Emulsified sausages obtained from mechanically separated meat of yacare caiman (Caiman yacare)

This study aimed at the development and characterization of emulsified sausages using mechanically separated meat (MSM) from yacare caiman (Caiman yacare). The sausages were formulated using three different treatments containing (in %) 70.0 (T1), 75.0 (T2), or 80.0 (T3) of MSM of yacare and subjected to comprehensive analyses, including chemical composition, physical properties, microbiological safety, and sensory attributes. The proximate composition analysis revealed that moisture was the unique parameter that presented statistical differences between treatments, ranging from 74.94% (T1) to 72.35% (T3). pH and water activity measurements indicated stable and safe products, with high water activity attributed to water incorporation during emulsion formation. Color differences were observed among treatments, potentially linked to formulation, especially the MSM content. The highest average obtained for luminosity was 49.87 for T2, differing statistically (P > 0.05) from T1 and T3. Consistent shear force values suggested effective emulsion formation and processing. The microbiological analysis demonstrated the safety of sausages, meeting microbial standards for consumption. Sensory evaluation revealed positive responses to appearance and aroma, while flavor and texture received mixed reviews. Purchase intention scores indicated cautious consumer interest. Thus, further efforts are needed to optimize formulations and processing to enhance consumer sensory attributes to meet consumer preferences and improve acceptance, achieve marketability, and capitalize on the ecological and nutritional benefits of yacare caiman-derived products.

Studies on Benefits of Organic Food Products in Human Life during Covid-19

Organic food products have gained considerable attention in recent years due to their perceived health and environmental benefits. This comprehensive review examines the scientific evidence surrounding the advantages of consuming organic foods compared to conventionally produced counterparts. Firstly, organic farming practices emphasize the use of natural fertilizers and biological pest control methods, avoiding synthetic pesticides and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Numerous studies have demonstrated that organic produce tends to have lower pesticide residues, reducing the potential health risks associated with pesticide exposure. Moreover, organic farming promotes soil health and biodiversity by minimizing the use of synthetic chemicals and fostering sustainable agricultural practices. Healthy soils are essential for nutrient-rich crops and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability. Additionally, organic agriculture typically utilizes crop rotation and intercropping techniques, which enhance soil fertility and resilience. Furthermore, organic livestock production adheres to stringent animal welfare standards, including access to outdoor grazing and the prohibition of routine antibiotic use and growth hormones. As a result, organic meat, dairy, and poultry products often contain higher levels of beneficial nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. In terms of nutritional quality, several meta-analyses have suggested that organic fruits and vegetables may have slightly higher levels of certain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants compared to conventionally grown counterparts. While the differences may be modest, the cumulative effects of consuming organic foods over time could contribute to improved overall health outcomes. Beyond individual health benefits, supporting organic agriculture also has positive implications for environmental conservation and sustainable food systems. By minimizing chemical inputs and promoting biodiversity, organic farming helps mitigate soil erosion, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions associated with conventional agriculture.

A randomized controlled clinical trial examining the effects of Cordyceps militaris beverage on the immune response in healthy adults

Cordyceps militaris (L.) Link (C. militaris) contains various beneficial substances, including polysaccharides (galactomannan), nucleotides (adenosine and cordycepin), cordycepic acid, amino acids, and sterols (ergosterol and beta-sitosterol). It also contains other essential nutrients, such as protein, vitamins (E, K, B1, B2, and B12), and minerals (potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and selenium). Due to the numerous health benefits of supplements and products containing C. militaris extract, their popularity has increased. However, the immunostimulant effect of C. militaris remains unclear. Therefore, this study developed a functional beverage from the submerged fermentation of C. militaris (FCM) and aimed to investigate the potential of FCM in healthy male and female volunteers in Phayao Province, Thailand. This study provides essential information for the development of healthy drink products. Healthy men and women were provided either FCM containing 2.85 mg of cordycepin or placebo for 8 weeks (n = 10 for each gender). The immune cell markers, immunoglobulins, and safety parameters were assessed initially at baseline and at 4 and 8 weeks. The NK cell activity markedly increased in the male FCM group from baseline (p = 0.049) to 4 weeks after receiving FCM. Compared with those in the placebo group, the NK activity in women who received FCM for 8 weeks significantly increased (p = 0.023) from baseline. Within-group analysis revealed that the IL-1β levels were markedly reduced in the male FCM group (p = 0.049). Furthermore, the IL-6 levels decreased from baseline in the female FCM group (p = 0.047). The blood sugar, lipid, and safety indices were not different between the experimental groups. FCM can potentially be developed as an immune-boosting supplement without liver, kidney, or blood component toxicity.

Enzymatic Preparation, In-Depth Molecular Analysis, and In Vitro Digestion Simulation of Palmitoleic Acid (ω-7)-Enriched Fish Oil Triacylglycerols.

In this study, an enzymatic reaction was developed for synthesizing pure triacylglycerols (TAG) with a high content of palmitoleic acid (POA) using fish byproduct oil. The characteristics of synthesized structural TAGs rich in POA (POA-TAG) were analyzed in detail through ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography Q Exactive orbitrap mass spectrometry. Optimal conditions were thoroughly investigated and determined for reaction systems, including the use of Lipozyme TL IM and Novozym 435, 15 wt % lipase loading, substrate mass ratio of 1:3, and water content of 2.5 and 0.5 wt %, respectively, resulting in yields of 67.50 and 67.45% for POA-TAG, respectively. Multivariate statistical analysis revealed that TAG 16:1/16:1/20:4, TAG 16:1/16:1/16:1, TAG 16:1/16:1/18:1, and TAG 16:0/16:1/18:1 were the main variables in Lipozyme TL IM and Novozym 435 enzyme-catalyzed products under different water content conditions. Finally, the fate of POA-TAG across the gastrointestinal tract was simulated using an in vitro digestion model. The results showed that the maximum release of free fatty acids and apparent rate constants were 71.44% and 0.0347 s-1, respectively, for POA-TAG lipids, and the physical and structural characteristics during digestion depended on their microenvironments. These findings provide a theoretical basis for studying the rational design of POA-structural lipids and exploring the nutritional and functional benefits of POA products.

Climate services in Romania − an analysis of stakeholders’ perceptions and needs

In recent years, theclimate services markethas increased significantly, especially in the Western European countrieswhere they have become widely utilised in both the public and private sectors. In Romania, there is no specialised platform for those kinds of services, and the sector is in its beginnings. The current study is based on sociological research conducted as part of a national project aimed at increasing adaptive capacity to climate change. The purpose of the questionnaire that served as the study’s base was to collect information about the extent to which climate services are used by organisations, their perception of the benefits of using the services, the technical characteristics of the services, and the future needs of stakeholders. Such an analysis is necessary to comprehend the existing market situation in Romania and to be able to establish the circumstances essential for an effective improvement of climate services and products based on the co-development concept. The main outcomes of the survey conducted at the national level (324 respondents) confirm the early stage of the national climate service market as (i) only a small share (34 %) of respondents are users of climate products and services (mostly from agriculture, forestry, water resources management, biodiversity, energy sectors) and (ii) climate data and products are insufficiently tailored at sectoral level. Most representative identified stakeholder needs refer to: temporal (i.e., monthly, seasonal) and spatial resolution (i.e., local, regional) and types of tailored climate products (i.e., monthly/seasonal weather forecasts, spatio-temporal maps and analysis tool). The study identified premises further development of the climate service market in Romania (i.e., widespread interest in using climate products and services among the non-users, perceived societal benefits of climate products and services).

Comparing Online Soybean Processing Module Including a Laboratory Component to On-Campus Module

Hands-on learning activities enhance course outcomes in college courses based on increased exam scores and student satisfaction; however, online courses pose challenges for creating hands-on learning opportunities. The objective of this study was to compare online and on-campus students’ perception and performance on a soybean processing and products module with a laboratory component. The modules included identical lectures and discussion board questions. Students then participated in a hands-on laboratory exercise at home or on-campus investigating the effect of added soy protein at various levels on muffins physical and sensory properties. Baking kits were mailed to online students. All students were given detailed written instructions on how to prepare muffins for the exercise. Upon completion of the laboratory exercise, students wrote a scientific abstract on their findings. At the end of the module, all students (n=194) completed an assessment survey about their perception of the module. Seventy-two percent of online students met or exceeded expectations on the abstract assignment while 92% of on-campus students met or exceeded expectations. In both courses, ninety percent of students agreed or strongly agreed the laboratory improved their ability to apply knowledge to practical issues. Regarding knowledge gained, students reported an increased awareness of products that contain soy and methods for processing soybeans into ingredients. A common response was that students would be more likely to try soy products in the future because they were less concerned with off flavors and interested in the nutritional benefits of soy products.

Development of a Fermented Probiotic Beverage Inoculated with Kefir Grain

Background: Probiotics are live microorganisms that confer to have health benefits when consumed directly or processed. Regular administration of Probiotics would help in improving the gut microflora that has gained importance as bacteriotherapy which prevents the gastro-intestinal disease caused by pathogenic microorganisms. Vegans who are allergic or intolerant to dairy products can have the benefits of organic acids that are produced through fermentation. The present study was carried out to know the benefits of fermented products using kefir grains and fruits. Methods: The fermented product was tested for the evaluation of flavours, sensory, and shelf life which seemed to be very promising. In context to biomolecules, the product had a high concentration of absorbable protein, carbohydrate, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. Result: The production of fermented beverages of certain fruits on a large scale, and its consumption may promote additional health benefits. The kefir beverage that is produced in this work may help to fill the gap between actual and innovative consumption of the fruits and kefir that may be recommended in the human diet with concern for their health.

Cardioprotective and Hematological Effects of Wonderful Kola (Buchholzia coriacea) in Wistar Rats Exposed to Aluminum Chloride-Induced Toxicity

Aluminium pervades ecosystems, posing a nuanced risk of intoxication for both animal and human cohorts. In this paper, cardioprotective and haematological effects of wonderful kola (Buchholzia coriacea) in Wistar rats exposed to aluminum chloride-induced toxicity was investigated by different methods including haematological analysis revealed significant decreases in PCV, HB, RBC, and PLT, with increased WBC in the aluminum chloride-induced group, indicating hematological toxicity (p < 0.05). Vitamin C partially restored parameters, while both low and high doses of Wonderful Kola extract showed positive effects, suggesting potential protection against aluminum chloride-induced toxicity (p < 0.05). Histological assessment demonstrated severe inflammation in the aluminum chloride-induced group, partial protection with vitamin C, and potential protective effects with Wonderful Kola, especially at higher doses. Wonderful Kola extract exhibited protective effects on cardiac tissue histology in aluminum chloride-induced toxicity, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic agent. These results contribute to the understanding of the potential therapeutic benefits of natural products in mitigating cardiovascular diseases. Further research on natural remedies for cardiovascular diseases is warranted, and caution should be exercised when considering treatments that may have detrimental effects on cardiac structure.
