The potential of the global automotive industry as a tourist attraction

The purpose of the article is to theoretically study the global automotive industry as an object of tourist interest. The methodology is based on scientific and special research methods. The used methods were analysis, synthesis, systematization, classification, generalization of economic and methodological literature as well as and scientific publications. The scientific novelty of prerequisites and directions of tourism potential realization studying for the global automotive industry is to formulate proposals and outline prospects for further development of the relevant tourist destinations. Conclusions. The article considers the factors that determine the interest in cars and, consequently, their potential attractiveness for tourist development such as the main forms of potential of automotive industry products in tourism realization; relevant examples of the most popular destinations among tourists are provided; the main directions of increasing the tourist attractiveness of automotive products are characterized such as the groups of potential consumers; outlines further prospects for tourist development of the world automotive heritage.

PENGARUH KESADARAN ANTI-FRAUD, KESESUAIAN KOMPENSASI, DAN MORALITAS INDIVIDU TERHADAP KECENDERUNGAN KECURANGAN AKUNTANSI

This research aims to test empirically the influence of anti-fraud awareness, the realization of peace, and individual morality on the tendency for accounting to occur in manufacturing companies operating in the automotive industry and rubber component production mining located in the Tangerang City area. The research method used is a quantitative method. The data used in this research is primary data. The data collection instrument used in this research was a questionnaire distributed to employees at one of the manufacturing industrial rubber part component companies in the Tangerang City area. This research is based on the Purposive Sampling method. The total research data obtained was 150 respondents. Hypothesis testing in this research uses multiple regression analysis techniques with a statistical approach operated through the SPSS Statistics version 25 program. The results showed that anti-fraud awareness, compliance compensation, and individual morality effect the tendency of accounting fraud.

Spot welding, a type of resistance welding, is a welding application widely used in the production area and it is a common method for joining metal sheets. The spot-welding process is widely used in many production areas, especially in the automotive industry, radiator, and wire mesh production. Spot welding in car production lines is mainly performed by robotic applications. Industry 4.0 and digital transformation trends have led to unprecedented data growth. Nowadays, the manufacturing industry benefits from the power of machine learning and data science algorithms to monitor production processes and make predictions for quality, maintenance, and production optimization. Applying machine learning algorithms reduces the duration and cost of experiments. This study aims to confirm whether the spot welding, applied by robotic arms, is within the ideal spot-welding norms, in real production area. The ideal parameter norms were evaluated by using KNN and CART machine learning algorithms. To use real production data, this study was executed in the body production assembly line, which is selected as the pilot area, at TOFAŞ factory. The data set used in this research consists of the welding parameters of the current year, 2023. By running machine learning algorithms on the dataset, the performance evaluation of each algorithm was examined and the most appropriate estimation method was determined. In the experiments, the best F1-Score value was obtained by the CART model with 93%.

Inductive Heating and Quenching of Planetary Shafts for Diesel Engine Starters

High mechanical and temperature cyclic loading of the final products for automotive, transport, construction and agriculture mechanization industry, demands sufficient mechanical properties of all of their components during its exploitation. Majority of the components is made of steel, by different cold forming processes. Their main demanded characteristics are surface wear resistance and fatigue strength under pulsating stress in combination with cyclic temperature loading, which could be achieved only by appropriate heat treatment. The efficiency of the combined inductive heating and water quenching heat treatment and quality of the planetary shafts were analyzed, with the use of thermographic analysis, hardness measurements, and metallographic examination. Combination of inductive heating and water quenching is the most effective heat treatment process of carbon steel planetary shafts for the diesel engine starters. Long life span of carbon steel planetary shafts it’s essential for their economical production. The replacement of starter is expensive from both: money and working time point of view. Surface temperature measurements during the inductive heating process were performed in the industrial environment. The intensity and homogeneity of the planetary shaft surface temperature field was measured by thermographic camera. On the base of theoretical knowledge and measurements, a mathematical model for temperature conditions determination in the shaft during the entire process of heating and quenching was carried out, and used for analyses and optimization of planetary shafts induction hardening process.

Often consumers experience problems when searching for automotive products on social media, namely lack of product information and trust in a business account due to the company's lack of consistency in building communication with potential customers through post content. Of course this can affect consumer buying interest. This study aims to determine the effect of post content and testimonials on social media Instagram on consumer buying interest in automotive industry products at Rizki CB's workshop. This type of research is quantitative research with a survey method that is distributed via online/google form questionnaires to followers of the Instagram account @rizki.cb. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling method with a total sample of 100 people. While data processing is done using SPSS 24.00 for window software. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Post content has a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest. (2) Testimonials have a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest. (3) Post content and testimonial variables together have a significant effect on purchase intention. This can be a consideration for Rizki CB's business in increasing buying interest or attracting consumer attention to a product through social media to create post content on Instagram social media that contains complete information according to the needs of potential customers (account followers) and creates its own uniqueness.

Mathematical Models for Machining Optimization of Ampcoloy 35 with Different Thicknesses Using WEDM to Improve the Surface Properties of Mold Parts.

Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is an unconventional machining technology that can be used to machine materials with minimum electrical conductivity. The technology is often employed in the automotive industry, as it makes it possible to produce mold parts of complex shapes. Copper alloys are commonly used as electrodes for their high thermal conductivity. The subject of this study was creating mathematical models for the machining optimization of Ampcoloy 35 with different thicknesses (ranging from 5 to 160 mm with a step of 5 mm) using WEDM to improve the surface properties of the mold parts. The Box-Behnken type experiment was used with a total of 448 samples produced. The following machining parameters were altered over the course of the experiment: the pulse on and off time, discharge current, and material thickness. The cutting speed was measured, and the topography of the machined surfaces in the center and at the margins of the samples was analyzed. The morphology and subsurface layer were also studied. What makes this study unique is the large number of the tested thicknesses, ranging from 5 to 160 mm with a step of 5 mm. The contribution of this study to the automotive industry and plastic injection mold production is, therefore, significant. The regression models for the cutting speed and surface topography allow for efficient defect-free machining of Ampcoloy 35 of 5-160 mm thicknesses, both on the surface and in the subsurface layer.

Transition of the automotive industry towards electric vehicle production in the east European integrated periphery

This article analyzes the progress of the transition from the production of vehicles with internal combustion engines to the production of electric vehicles in eastern Europe. The transition is considered in the context of the development of the automotive industry in eastern Europe since the early 1990s and the relative position of the east European integrated periphery in the European automotive industry value chains and production networks. The article argues that foreign firms are driving the transition, while the role of the east European governments and local firms is much less significant. The transition is slower than in western Europe and eastern Europe will continue to produce internal combustion engine vehicles longer. Eastern Europe will continue to rely on its competitive advantage of low production costs, especially low labor costs, to continue to attract foreign direct investment in the automotive industry. The article considers the consequences of the transition for the position of east European countries in automotive value chains, production networks and the division of labor in the European automotive industry.

Quality Research of Metal Parts Produced by Cold Sheet Forming

Sheet metal forming is one of the most popular technologies for obtaining finished products in automotive industries. The main techniques of sheet metal forming: sheet microforming, warm/hot forming, incremental sheet forming, flexible-die forming, Electromagnetic sheet forming, Electrohydraulic forming, Spinning and Shear Spinning, Shear Spinning and Flow Forming and cold sheet forming. One most popular cold stamping process. In the production line of Ravne VPS400 1992, we take twenty details for looking quality review, looking for surface damage reasons - a little changing tonnage and speed. Inter-firm power relations and working conditions under new production models

AbstractIn investigating recent changes to the automotive industry production process, such as modularisation, our work emphasises the process of fragmentation of production as a configuring element of inter-firm power relationships, and as an explanatory element in working conditions. From a theoretical framework focused on power relations, we analyse by way of a selected case study how the capabilities of companies and their network positions, together with the agency of labour, shape the power relations that influence the evolution of working conditions. The study does indeed find relevant changes to inter-firm relationships, for example, within networks of assemblers and suppliers, but without a consequent re-balancing of power. This finding serves to explain differences in the evolution of working conditions between distinct companies, these conditions being fully functional to a strategy for profitability and thus difficult to reverse.

Experimental Investigation on Influence of Process Parameters on Properties of Powder Synthesized Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites by Taguchi’s Analysis

The ever increasing fuel price created urgency for weight reduction of products in automotive and aerospace industries. Requirement of better mechanical properties, quality, improved wear resistance, lower coefficient of thermal expansion leads to the development of aluminum composites of lighter weight. The properties of the aluminium metal matrix composites are greatly influenced by the process parameters of the production methods. In this paper, aluminium metal matrix composite with reinforcement of 10% by weight proportion of silicon carbide is prepared by powder metallurgy process. The process parameters such as compaction pressure (100-130 MPa), sintering temperature (300-600°C) and sintering time (120-300 min) are considered. Properties such as compression strength, sliding wear resistance, micro abrasive wear and coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminum metal matrix composite are measured. Taguchi’s experimental design is adopted for laying out the experimental conditions and Principal component analysis approach is used to identify the optimum and significant parameters which provide the preferable properties of the composite. It is found that sintering temperature (300-600°C) is significant parameter influencing the measured properties of aluminium metal matrix composites.

The influence of specialization has increased; in industry the decline is stronger in the regions of the automotive industry, oil and gas production, ferrous metallurgy. The decline in retail sales is stronger in the agglomerations of the largest cities due to the departure of foreign companies and in some regions with low incomes, where the population is faster reducing consumption. The decline or stagnation of personal income tax revenues in May 2022 manifested in the regions of the fuel complex, metallurgy, in some depressed regions and in underdeveloped Republics, where the share of shadow business may increase. The risks of part-time employment are higher in the industrial regions of the Center, the Volga district and part of the Urals. The employment reduction risks in the market services are higher in agglomerations and other major cities, in part of the depressed regions; in resort regions they are mitigated by increased home tourism. The risks of regional budgets tax revenues decline are strongest in more developed and export-oriented regions. The Southern agrarian regions and the Far East (with the exception of Sakhalin) are going through the crisis more mildly due to the home demand for food products and its exports, and for the Far Eastern regions — due to orientation to the Asian markets, especially China. Moscow is likely to go through a new crisis, like the two previous ones, softer than other regions, especially in terms of the dynamics of household incomes and the budget revenues.

New Autonomous Vehicle Technologies Effect on Automotive Concept Design Stages

New road transportation systems solutions create significant changes in existing automotive manufacturing industry products and technologies, from design to use. The conveniences within the framework of new approaches brought by autonomous vehicle technologies primarily make individuals transition from driver duty to passenger and high-comfort alternative travel technologies. Therefore, the research: defining the path followed by the autonomous vehicle technologies, which lead to the development of the said new life model and automotive products within the future fiction, in the stages of designing new concept vehicles in practice or measuring the effect on the processes constitute important values for the future prediction of this sector. In addition, the research has focused on the effects of interdisciplinary studies at the automotive concept design stages, which are at the beginning of today’s lean and new product development process, where innovation goals or technologies emerge with more concrete needs. New autonomous vehicle technologies and the main purpose of revealing the interdisciplinary studies created by new disciplines in the current automotive concept design stages make significant contributions to the optimization of the lean product development process and value creation. For this reason, the automotive manufacturing industry, which is on the eve of a major transformation with the said new autonomous vehicle technologies; determining the needs or sustainable position in the flow of digital perception and orientation systems; determining value creation criteria related to the functioning of automotive concept design processes or new acceptance criteria through one-on-one interviews in the field; constitutes the focus of the research. The research has examined the new interdisciplinary studies and effects of new autonomous vehicle technologies in the automotive concept design phase, which is the first step of lean product development, with local and global automotive industry company comparisons in operation. Therefore, the differences and similarities between the concept design stages of global automotive companies that are both co-developers of new autonomous vehicle technologies and manufacturing automotive products and local automotive manufacturing companies that only assemble them determine the future competitive structuring of the industry.

Investigation of the Effect of Modifying the AlSi7Mg0.3 Alloy with a Fast-Cooled Master Alloy Using Heat Treatment

The development of modern high-tech industries of industrial production is impossible without the development of new methods for processing materials with high mechanical characteristics. There is a growing need for an increase in the proportion of parts made of aluminum alloys, a more complex configuration of cast parts, an increase in their reliability and durability in operation, etc. All this poses for metallurgists and foundry workers the task of creating new technologies for producing alloys, improving the technical and economic characteristics of structural materials, improving the quality and reducing the cost of castings.Hypoeutectic silumins have good casting properties, good weldability, machinability and corrosion resistance. However, they are prone to the formation of a coarse needle-like state, which reduces their useful characteristics. To eliminate this phenomenon, it is necessary to apply special technologies and the most common is their modification, which provides grain refinement. This makes it possible to use silumins for the manufacture of castings of complex shapes with increased density and low shrinkage porosity. Such parts can withstand average loads in critical units. Aluminum-silicon alloy AK7 or (ASi7Mg0.3) is a typical silumin, which is in demand in the automotive industry, construction, aircraft construction, machine, automobile and tractor production. It is appreciated for its good casting properties, weldability, machinability and corrosion resistance.

Application of biomass derived products in mid-size automotive industries: A review

The automotive industry is directly affected by the shortage of fossil fuels and the excessive pollution resulting from crude oil-based fuels has many adverse effects on the environment. The search for a greener and sustainable source of materials and fuels to power automobiles has ultimately led to the usage of biomass and biobased sources as the main precursor due to its graft availability and renewability. Biobased fuels developed have been shown to easily blend in with the existing automobile engines and to provide sustainable performance. Similarly, the usage of various biobased polymers, plastics, and composite materials as the structural materials for the construction of automobiles instead of crude oil sources have shown to be invaluable. The powering of automobiles with electricity is the future of the transportation industry to address the greenhouse gas emissions caused by fossil fuels. Hence, biobased lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors have started to enter the mid-sized automotive industry. However, extensive commercialization of biobased products application in the automotive sector is underdeveloped. Hence it is customary to assess the various drawbacks of using biobased materials and identify the correct pathway for new research and development in this field. Therefore, this review covers various applications of biobased products in the automotive industries and mentions the active researches going on in this field to replace petroleum and crude oil-based sources with biobased sources.

The automotive industry is the main product buyer of basic industry branches such as iron and steel, light metals, petro-chemistry, rubber and plastics due to its structure. In addition, all kinds of motor vehicles required by the tourism, infrastructure and construction, transportation and agriculture sectors are provided with automotive industry products. This situation, which shows the sector's connection with other sectors, causes the automotive sector to have a great impact on the economy of the country where it is located.The automotive industry has a deep impact on society and the environment and also there is an important competitive environment in the automotive industry as in many other sectors in today's global world. This competition among companies has become more important issue of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Determining what needs to be done to ensure customer satisfaction is a guide for companies and also an important part of customer-oriented. Therefore, the factors that ensure customer satisfaction in the automotive industry were determined and a study was carried out on these factors. The purpose of the article is to identify the factors that affect the satisfaction of car users and to determine how they can be developed. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 412 car users. Correlation coefficients, t-tests and variance analysis methods were used in the analysis of the data collected through the survey. According to the results of the study, a significant and positive relationship was found between structural quality, durability, costs, driving quality, and comfort with satisfaction level.

Many-objective optimization of build part orientation in additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing is the process of building a three-dimensional object from a computer-aided design model, by successively adding material layer-by-layer. This technology allows to print complex shape objects and is being rapidly adopted throughout the aircraft industry, medical implants, jewelry, footwear industry, automotive industry, and fashion products. The build orientation of 3D objects has a strong influence on many quality characteristics. In this paper, a many-objective approach is applied to the Fin model, using the NSGA-II algorithm to optimize four conflicting objective functions regarding the need for support structures, the build time, the surface roughness, and the overall quality of the surface. First, a bi-objective optimization is performed for each couple of two objectives and some representative solutions are identified. However, when applying many-objective optimization to the four objective functions simultaneously, some more orientation angles are found as good optimal solutions. Visualization tools are used to inspect the relationships and the trade-offs between the objectives. Then, the decision-maker can choose which orientation angles are more favorable according to his/her preferences. The optimal solutions found confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

The Impact of Productivity, Employment, Sales Volume With and Without Completely Knocked Down in Automotive Industry on Economic Growth in Nigeria: 1987-2019

This study investigated the impact of Productivity, Employment Creation, Sales Volume and CKD in Automotive Industry in Nigeria using time series data for 1987 to 2019. Unit root test was conducted, the result showed mixed order of integration i.e I(0) and I(1) which informs the use of Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL) technique of analysis. The findings and conclusion from the study revealed that employment, productivity, sales volume and completely knocked down in automotive industry are all positive and significant. These immensely contribute to the economic growth in Nigeria. This attests to the fact that Government needs to allow only the importation of CKD and ban SKD to increase productivity thereby generating increase in employment. This invariably increases standard of living and boosting sales volume with reduction in average unit cost. The multiplier effects will also boost productivities of allied industries’ products and services such as iron and steel, rubber, plastics, electrical equipment, road construction, transportation, urban and rural development. So, government needs to be serious to establish Vehicle Finance Scheme where no one needs to put down 100% cash to own a vehicle. Government should therefore encourage importation of Completely Knocked Down rather than Semi Knocked Down . By materials scientific and fracture mechanics aspects are well covered, but the remaining stresses which are present in every step of production, we can not clearly identify the origin of them. There are different paralell methods to mesure them, but the application of different methods are depending on the engineers, and their expreiences at the company. This part of the analysis is not standardised yet, so there are differences even in the same company.
