Pengaruh Budaya Religius Terhadap Kecerdasan Spiritual Peserta Didik Di SD Negeri 2 Cihaur

Culture is the result of human work, creativity and initiative that can be accepted by society, or a certain community, and carried out consciously without coercion in everyday life, and taught to the next generation simultaneously. Religious is a student's way of thinking and behaving based on religious values. Spiritual intelligence is intelligence that comes from within us and is associated with knowledge that exists outside our ego or conscious soul. Based on the problem formulation, the aim of this research is first, to find out whether there is an influence of religious culture on the spiritual intelligence of students at SD Negeri 2 Cihaur. second, to find out how religious culture influences the spiritual intelligence of students at SD Negeri 2 Cihaur. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The research results show that religious culture has a significant effect on students' spiritual intelligence. This is proven based on the results of analysis using tests in the form of questionnaires, calculations carried out using the Pearson product moment correlation test to determine the sig value. 0.008 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so the researcher concludes that there is an influence of religious culture on the spiritual intelligence of students at SD Negeri 2 Cihaur.

The Correlation Between The Duration of Playing Gadgets in Young Children and Parental Anxiety Levels in Sidodadi Village

This study aims to analyze the correlation between the duration of gadget play in early childhood and the level of parental anxiety in Sidodadi Village. This study uses an associative method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used in this study is the saturated sampling technique found in Non-Probability Sampling. The data collection technique was a questionnaire, the duration of playing gadgets, and the level of parental anxiety. Meanwhile, the analysis technique used is using Pearson Product Moment using SPSS software. The results of the study show that the level of duration of playing gadgets in children in Sidodadi Village, Penarik District, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province tends to be high. A total of 46.67% of respondents were included in the category of high gadget playing duration, 36.67% were in the medium category, and 16.67% were classified as low. This shows that the use of gadgets has become a dominant activity among children in the village. The level of anxiety of parents related to the use of gadgets by their children also tends to be high. The results showed that 30% of respondents had very high levels of anxiety, 26.67% high, 25% moderate, 15% low, and 3.33% very low. The dominance of the category is very high and high, indicating significant concerns among parents regarding the impact of gadget use on their children There is a significant and positive relationship between the duration of gadget play and parental anxiety levels, with a correlation coefficient of 0.589 This suggests that the higher the duration of gadget play in children, the higher the level of anxiety experienced by parents This relationship indicates a close connection between children's gadget usage behavior and parental psychological responses.

Understanding Peer Sexual Norms, Attitudes, and Pressure: Correlates of Risky Sexual Behaviours among Secondary School Adolescents in Anambra State, Nigeria

Aims: Sexual behaviour initiation often takes place throughout adolescence and is typically linked to engaging in unprotected sexual practices and other high-risk sexual behaviours. This research investigated the correlation between peer sexual behaviour, sexual attitudes, pressure to engage in sexual activity, and sexual risk behaviours among secondary school adolescents in Anambra State. Methodology: The study was carried out with a correlational research approach. The research included 1,200 individuals from a population of 19,048 SS2 teenagers in public secondary schools. Cronbach's Alpha statistics were used to evaluate the internal consistency of three scales: the Brief Sexual Attitudes Scale (BSAS), the Pressure to Have Sex Questionnaire (PTHSQ), and the modified Sexual Risk Behaviour Scale (SRBS). The reliability coefficients for the Adolescent Sexual Behaviour Index (ASBI) were 0.86, 0.96, and 0.80, respectively. The reliability index of the ASBI was determined using Kuder Richardson statistics, resulting in a coefficient of 0.86. The data was obtained by directly administering the instruments and processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Pearson Product Moment Correlation is a statistical measure that quantifies the strength and direction of the linear relationship between two variables. Coefficients were used to address the research enquiries, while the null hypotheses were examined using a t-test to determine significant association. Results: The results indicated a weak positive association between the sexual conduct of peers, sexual attitudes, and pressure to engage in sexual activity, and sexual risk behaviours among secondary school teenagers in Anambra State. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated a notable association between these variables and the sexual risk behaviours of secondary school adolescents in Anambra State. Conclusion: Based on these data, it was determined that there is a weak positive link between peer sexual behaviour, sexual attitude, peer pressure to engage in sexual activity, and unsafe sexual behaviours among secondary school teenagers in Anambra State. Given this information, it is advisable for school administrators to establish health initiatives aimed at assisting young people in adopting enduring sexual habits that promote their overall health and well-being. These practices should also aim to minimise their susceptibility to HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Hubungan Interaksi Edukatif Guru terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SDIT) Mutiara Rahmah Balikpapan

Interaction or communication is one of the challenges that often arise in the learning and teaching process in the world of education. Especially between teachers and students. When the teaching and learning process becomes less smooth, such as students are afraid and reluctant to actively participate in learning so that students do not understand the subject matter that has been explained, it is a negative impact of teachers who do not communicate well and clearly to their students, which will also affect students' interest in learning, especially in Islamic religious education subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teacher educational interaction and students on students' interest in learning in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SDIT Mutiara Rahmah Balikpapan. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlation research type, namely to find the relationship between variable X, namely teacher educational interaction and variable Y, namely student interest in learning. Data collection methods used in this study were: observation, interviews, questionnaires with a population and sample of 50 respondents using saturated sampling. The findings of this study are supported by hypothesis testing, which is assisted by the use of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25 software and the Pearson product moment correlation formula. The Sig. value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 and the level of significance of the study is known to be 5% or 0.05. Based on the predetermined standards, the results obtained are that the Sig. Value (2-tailed) < Significance Level, namely 0.000 < 0.05. The calculated r value> r table is 0.754> 0.279. The Pearson Correlations value between each connected variable has two asterisks, namely 0.754 **. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the educative interaction of teachers and students on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SDIT Mutiara Rahmah Balikpapan.

Prevalence and Predictors of Fatigue among Thai Women after COVID-19 Infection.

Several people suffered from fatigue after recovering from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). However, limited studies focused on fatigue in women who recovered from COVID-19 infection. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of fatigue among Thai women after COVID-19 infection and to identify predictive factors, including depression, anxiety, fear, and insomnia. A cross-sectional research design using convenience sampling was conducted from October 2022 to January 2023. A total of 142 Thai women after COVID-19 infection were recruited from two urban communities located in the Bangkok Metropolitan area, Thailand. The participants completed self-reported questionnaires, including the demographic and illness-related data questionnaire, the Depress Anxiety Stress Scales, the Insomnia Severity Index, the Fear of Progression Questionnaire, and the Fatigue Severity Scale. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, range, Pearson's product-moment correlations, and stepwise multiple regression. All (100%) participants returned the questionnaires. After recovering from COVID-19 infection for at least 1 month or longer, 39.40% of the participants reported fatigue. The multiple regression analysis revealed that fear, anxiety, and insomnia collectively contributed to 47% of the variance in the participants' fatigue (R2 = 0.47; p < 0.001). Nearly two-quarters of Thai women after recovering from COVID-19 infection experienced fatigue. To prevent fatigue among Thai women after COVID-19 infection, it is necessary to help them overcome feelings of fear and anxiety. Furthermore, nursing interventions aiming to alleviate insomnia should be implemented.

PROFITABILITY AND TURNOVER APPRAISAL OF LISTED DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS IN NIGERIA

The study seeks to appraise the performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria, given the mounting pressure for cashless transactions and the increasing digitization and automation of financial services around the globe. Appropriately, the ex-post facto/casual comparative research design was adopted to obtain relevant and desirable secondary data from the Annual Bulletins of the Central Bank of Nigeria and E-payment Statistics Platforms from 2012 to 2020, to empirically appraise the profitability and turnover of all the 15 Nigerian deposit money banks quoted as at January 1, 2021, in the light of the non-bank led theory. Specifically, the study interrogates the effect of point of sale and online loans on the profitability and turnover of Nigerian deposit money banks, using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Linear Regression Analysis. The conclusions from findings from E-View 9.0 (inferential) statistical results at 0.05 level of significance are that, while the increasing use and patronage of point-of-sale terminals significantly improves the profitability of Nigerian deposit money banks, it adversely affects their turnover insignificantly; and the flexibility of and increasing preference for online loan facilities adversely affect the profitability, but improves the turnover of deposit money banks in Nigeria. The study recommends that deposit money banks should be operationally flexible and competitive, and fully automate their financial products and services.

Research on signal denoising algorithm based on ICEEMDAN eddy current detection

This study addresses the challenges of non-stationarity and significant background noise interference in eddy current detection signals by proposing a noise reduction method based on Improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adapted Noise (ICEEMDAN). The process commences with the signal being decomposed using Improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adapted Noise into a finite number of Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs). Each Intrinsic Mode Function is then evaluated for the presence of high-frequency noise using a Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis. The high-frequency noise present in the Intrinsic Mode Functions is then reduced using Normalized Least Mean Squares (NLMS) before being reconstructed with the remaining Intrinsic Mode Functions. Subsequently, the reconstructed signals are subjected to another round of decomposition using Improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adapted Noise. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) is utilised to calculate the correlation between the Intrinsic Mode Functions within each layer, retaining those with a strong correlation to further attenuate noise. Ultimately, the local maxima judgement method selectively amplifies defect signals by assessing changes in peak and valley degrees, thereby improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the eddy current detection signal. The experimental results demonstrate that, in comparison to the use of only the conventional Improved Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adapted Noise and Normalized Least Mean Squares denoising methods, the proposed method increases the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) by 1.08 dB and 2.31 dB, respectively, and decreases the Mean Square Error (MSE) by 106.9 and 223.9, respectively. The false alarm rate for stainless steel welded tubes with defects is 1.4%, while the false alarm rate for stainless steel welded tubes without defects is 0.4%.

Is Selfie Taking Behavior Beneficial for the Mental Wellbeing of Young Adults?

The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether selfie taking behavior is beneficial for the mental well-being of young adults and to investigate the difference in psychological issues among people who like to take selfies and those who don’t. Two hundred participants were recruited in this study following convenience sampling technique. The Depression scale, Bangla version of the Self- Esteem scale, and Bangla version of the General Health Questionnaire -12 were used as instruments in this study. This study used t-test and Pearson Product Moment Correlation for analyzing data. Results showed that selfie taking behavior is negatively correlated with depression score which means more selfie taking leads to fewer depressive symptoms. It was also found that people who like to take selfies and post selfies more on social media have shown less depressive symptoms, better self-esteem and less psychological distress than the people who don’t like to take and post selfies. The results can be taken to indicate that people who like to take or post selfies more exhibit a better state of mental well-being and less psychological issues. Dhaka Univ. J. Biol. Pengaruh Metode Bil Qolam dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur’an Siswa di SMP Khadijah Surabaya

The use of the bil qolam method applied at Khadijah Middle School in Surabaya is very important to study because this method is effective and has been proven to be able to produce a generation that is able to read the Al-Qur'an. The research method uses a quantitative approach, using percentage analysis techniques and Pearson product moment correlation. The population in this study were students in grades IX-X-XII, totaling 439 students. The sampling technique in this research used the Quota Porposive Random Sampling technique which was taken randomly from 439 students so that 20% was taken, namely 439 x 20%, namely 88. For data collection, questionnaires, observation and documentation were used. The location of this research is Khadijah Middle School, Surabaya. The results of the research show that the use of the bil qolam method at Khadijah Middle School Surabaya is in the very good category, namely reaching 89.20% which is in the 80%-100% interval. Meanwhile, the ability to read the Al-Qur'an at Khadijah Middle School Surabaya is categorized as very good, reaching 91.25%, which is in the 80%-100% interval. And there is an influence between the bil qolam method on the ability to read the Al-Qur'an of Khadijah Surabaya Middle School students, this is proven in the product moment analysis with a value of rxy = 0.603 which is included in the correlation coefficient interval of 0.60-0.799 which is classified as having a strong influence. There is a significant influence between the bil qolam method on students' ability to read the Al-Qur'an at Khadijah Middle School Surabaya, this is proven by tcount &gt; ttable, namely 0.0097 &gt; 1.66623.

Pengaruh Pemasaran Konten Instagram Akun @Sodfestival terhadap Minat Membeli Tiket Festival Musik “Sound of Downtown”

This study aims to analyze the influence of Instagram content marketing on ticket purchase interest at the Sounds of Downtown (SoD) music festival. The method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires to 100 respondents, who are followers of the Instagram account @sodfestival aged 15-26 years. The data analysis technique uses the Pearson Product Moment correlation test, T test, and F test. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between Instagram content marketing and purchase interest (r = 0.918, p &lt;0.05). In addition, Instagram content marketing has a significant effect on purchase interest with a determination coefficient of 84.2%, indicating that this variable is able to explain most of the variation in purchase interest. The results of the T test (t = 22.864, p &lt;0.05) and F test (F = 522.764, p &lt;0.05) support that Instagram content marketing has a significant effect on ticket purchase interest. Thus, content marketing through Instagram has proven to be an effective strategy in increasing consumer purchase interest at the Sounds of Downtown music festival. Upscaling Current Data Caching and Prefetching Strategies for Online Databases in Nigeria

This study investigated upscaling current data caching and prefetching strategies for online databases in Nigeria, with a focus on practical implications. The research design adopted for this study was the descriptive survey. The population comprised of all undergraduate’s library students in public tertiary institutions in Ekiti State. A simple random sampling technique was adopted to select 200 library students from Ekiti State University in the study area. The instrument used for data collection was a structured 4 Likert type questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to the respondents to find out the effectiveness of caching and prefetching techniques on online databases. The instrument was both face and content validated by two experts from the department of Library studies in Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti State. The reliability of the instrument was ensured using Pearson Product Moment Correlation formula which yielded a coefficient of 0.99. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation. The result showed that the current caching and prefetching techniques employed in online databases are highly effective; the different access patterns have effect on the effectiveness of caching and prefetching techniques in online databases and there are impacts of cache coherence mechanisms on the efficiency of caching and prefetching techniques in online databases. It was therefore recommended that the inclusion of caching and prefetching in curriculum is important across all educational level in Nigeria, with a clear emphasis on the practical implications. In addition, caching and perfecting have come under fire for focusing mostly on computer science.

Silencing Anxiety with Social Savvy: The Role of Interpersonal Intelligence in EFL Classrooms

Communication anxiety significantly hinders learning outcomes in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms. This research explores the correlation between interpersonal intelligence and communication anxiety among high school students, assessing how variations in interpersonal skills influence anxiety levels during EFL interactions. Employing a quantitative approach, the study engaged 32 eleventh-grade students from class 11 MIPA 3 at SMA Mekar Arum, selected through random sampling. Data were collected using designed questionnaires to evaluate interpersonal intelligence and communication anxiety and analyzed with Pearson Product Moment Correlation via SPSS 22.0. The results indicated a significant negative correlation between interpersonal intelligence and communication anxiety (r= -0.494, p &lt; 0.05), demonstrating that students with higher interpersonal intelligence experience lower communication anxiety. Notably, 65.6% of the students demonstrated medium levels of interpersonal intelligence, while 34.4% had high levels. In terms of communication anxiety, 56.3% of students experienced moderate levels, and 43.8% experienced high levels. Conclusively, this study underscores the importance of fostering interpersonal intelligence as a strategic approach to alleviate communication anxiety in EFL settings. It recommends that EFL instructors integrate group-based and interactive activities that enhance interpersonal relations among students to improve their educational experience and outcomes.

PROBLEMATIC INTERNET USE AND SOCIAL ANXIETY IN LATE ADOLESCENTS SOCIAL MEDIA USERS IN BEKASI CITY

The phenomenon of problematic internet use is one of the phenomena that is rife in late adolescents. This is an important concern for many researchers, especially regarding excessive internet use, especially in accessing social media. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between problematic internet use and social anxiety in late adolescents who use social media in Bekasi City. This study involved 111 late adolescents in the city of Bekasi who actively used social media for 5 hours or more/day. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational type. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed with the correlation technique of Pearson Product Moment using the program SPSS versi 25 for windows. Based on the result of research data analysis the value of corellation coefficient between those two variables is 0,661** with significant degree amount is 0,000, This suggest that there is a a positive relationship between problematic internet use and social anxiety among adolescents. So it can be concluded that the higher the problematic internet use in adolescents, the higher the level of adolescent anxiety.

Probabilistic Inventory Models and Productivity of Selected Manufacturing Firms in Port Harcourt

This study examines the relationship between probabilistic inventory models and productivity of selected manufacturing firms in port Harcourt. Correlational survey research design was adopted for this study as this study seek to determine the relationship between the two variables. The population of this study is thirty-two (32) manufacturing companies in Rivers State which are registered with the Rivers State branch of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). This gave us a total of ninety-two (92) for the study. Structured questionnaire instrument title” Probabilistic inventory models and productivity of selected manufacturing firms in Port Harcourt. questionnaire was developed on five- point likert scale. The result of the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test indicates .800 which is above .70 which implies that the items are reliable. Pearson product moment correlation was used to test the hypotheses using SPSS (statistical package social sciences). The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between Continuous Review Models and Productivity of manufacturing firms in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. There is a significant relationship between Periodic Review Models and Productivity of manufacturing firms in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. There is a significant relationship between Single-Period Models and Productivity of manufacturing firms in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The study concluded that Probabilistic inventory models play a crucial role in optimizing inventory management for manufacturing firms. The study recommended that Manufacturing firms in Port Harcourt should consider implementing probabilistic inventory models such as continuous review, periodic review, and single-period models to optimize their inventory management processes.

The Predictive Power of Students' Metacognition and Perceptions of Instructional Competencies of Instructors on Academic Life Satisfaction

In university education, change and development occur due to environmental factors and the individual's efforts. Students' awareness of their cognitions, the instructors they interact with, and their qualifications play an essential role in this development and change process and determine academic life satisfaction. This study aims to assess university students' metacognitive skill perception and their perceptions of instructors' instructional competencies and to reveal the predictive power of these two variables on academic life satisfaction. The practical implications of this study's findings can empower educators and students to enhance academic life satisfaction. Based on the relational survey model, the study's data were obtained from 405 students at a state university's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Academic Life Satisfaction Scale, Metacognitive Skill Perceptions Scale, and Instructor’s Instructional Competence Scale were used to collect data. In the data analysis, the Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient was calculated to examine the relationship between the scores obtained from the scales. Hierarchical Regression Analysis was used to solve the sub-problems related to prediction. The hierarchical regression included the student's achievement perception as a control variable. As a result of the data analysis, it was determined that there was a moderate positive significant relationship between students' academic life satisfaction and their perception of instructors' instructional competencies and metacognitive skill perception levels. When students' achievement perceptions were controlled, it was determined that metacognitive skill perception explained 15% of academic life satisfaction. When achievement perception and metacognitive skill perception were controlled, it was found that the perception of the instructor's instructional competence explained 10% of academic life satisfaction. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that the effect of students' metacognitive skill perception on academic life satisfaction was higher than their perceptions of the instructor's instructional competence.

Learning Action Cell Program and Teachers’ Functional Competency in Cagayan De Oro City

Learning Action Cell (LAC) program influences teachers’ functional competency. It is an integral part of professional development initiatives, which impacts teachers’ instructional skills, classroom management, assessment strategies, and professional growth. This study focused on the implementation of LAC program and teachers’ functional competency in the Division of Cagayan de Oro City. It sought to determine the relationship between the implementation of LAC and teachers’ functional competency and find the level of implementation of LAC and teachers’ functional competency. A descriptive-correlational method was used in this study. The respondents were one hundred forty-seven (147) public elementary school teachers. The survey questionnaire was the main instrument used to gather data. The statistical tools used were descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation. Pearson Product Moment Correlation (r) was employed to determine the relationship between the implementation of LAC and teachers’ functional competency. Findings revealed that the LAC program was well implemented, and the level of teachers’ functional competency was outstanding. Hence, there was a significant relationship between the implementation of LAC and teachers’ functional competency. It is recommended that LAC coordinators align LAC activities with the school’s broader professional development plans. Teachers should also engage in collaborative projects with other educators to share experiences and best practices. School heads should also provide training and support strategies for teachers.

Constraints limiting the effectiveness of extension agents in disseminating climate-smart agricultural practices among rice farmers in north-Central Nigeria

Climate-smart agricultural practices play a crucial role in achieving national food security and development goals, and the significance of extension agents in this endeavor is invaluable. In view of this, this study investigated the constraints limiting the effectiveness of extension agents in disseminating climate-smart agricultural practices to rice farmers in North-central, Nigeria. The study specifically examined the socioeconomic characteristics of the extension agents, the dissemination pathways employed by them, constraints limiting the extension agents from effectively disseminating climate-smart agricultural practices, and the factors that influence their constraints. Data for the study were collected using a well-structured questionnaire administered to a total of 88 respondents selected through a multistage sampling procedure. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and Pearson product–moment correlation. The result showed that the respondents had a mean age of 48 years, the majority were males (93.2%), married (95.5%), and (85.2%) had tertiary education. Dissemination pathway/ method mostly used by the extension were; farm and home visits (𝑥̅ = 1.73), result demonstration (𝑥̅ = 1.66), and methods demonstration (𝑥̅ = 1.58). The constraints impeding the extension agents in disseminating CSA practices were; insufficient number of extension workers to provide services for a large number of farmers (𝑥̅ = 1.87), lack of incentives for staff motivation (𝑥̅ = 1.83), inadequate means of transportation (𝑥̅ = 1.83), were ranked 1st,2nd, and 3rd, respectively. There was a negative significant correlation (p = 0.05) between the number of training and personal constraints, as well as institutional constraints (p = 0.017) in the dissemination of climate-smart agricultural practices. Therefore, it is recommended that extension agents receive periodic training and incentives such as awards, cash rewards, promotions, and staff recognition from government bodies to enhance their performance.

Hubungan Adiksi Game Online dengan Prokrastinasi Akademik

This study is motivated by the growing problem among students today, namely academic procrastination and one of the factors that influence academic procrastination is the behavior of addiction or online game addiction. This study aims to describe online game addiction and student academic procrastination, and to determine the relationship between online game addiction and student academic procrastination. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach. The sample of this study was 121 students selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study are online game addiction instruments and academic procrastination instruments. The data were processed with statistical techniques to determine the percentage value processed in the Microsoft excel program, to find the relationship between the two variables used the Pearson product moment technique. The results of this study show: 1) Online Game Addiction in MTsN 3 Padang students is generally in the moderate category with an average achievement score of 121.41 (55.37%), 2) Academic Procrastination in MTsN 3 Padang students in general is in the moderate category with an average score of 82.05 (76.86%), 3) There is a significant positive relationship between Online Game Addiction and Academic Procrastination of MTsN 3 Padang students with a correlation coefficient of 0.587 and a significance level of 0.000. This means that the higher the student's Online Game Addiction, the higher the Academic Procrastination in students, and vice versa, the lower the student's Online Game Addiction, the lower the Academic Procrastination in students.

Analysis of the Implementation of the Contextual Science Teaching Factory Learning Model at the Medan City Center of Excellence Vocational School

This research aims to describe and determine the implementation of the Contextual Science Based Teaching Factory learning model at the Medan City Center of Excellence Vocational School and the factors inhibiting the implementation of the Contextual Science Based Teaching Factory learning model at the Medan City Center of Excellence Vocational School. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this research were 10 teachers who taught, 10 industrial partners and. and 25 class XI students at the Excellence Central Vocational School, Medan City. Data collection techniques were carried out using unstructured interviews and closed questionnaires. Before the research instrument is used, a validity test is first carried out using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation formula and a reliability test using the Cronbach's Alpha formula. The results of this research found that in the Context aspect it went well, in the Input aspect it went well and in the Process aspect it also went well but in the Product aspect it still went less well. Through this research it is hoped that the role of the stakeholders will be more optimal so that the Teaching Factory learning model is Contextually Based Science can proceed according to expectations.

Operating Efficiency and Financial Performance of Deposit Money Banks in Nigeria

This study has examined the influence of operating efficiency on the financial performance of Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Nigeria. Data used were extracted from the Annual Reports and Accounts of selected twelve (12) listed banks as on May 13, 2021 from 2011 to 2020. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis was employed to determine the relationship between operating efficiency and financial performance of sampled banks. Panel Least Square regression was deployed to analyse the effect of operating efficiency on financial performance of the DMBs while the one-way ANOVA test was engaged in ascertaining significant differences in financial performances of the Systemically Important (D-SIBs) and the Non-Systemically Important (D-NSIBs) Banks. Findings revealed positive significant effect of operating efficiency on financial performance of all DMBs while there was no significant difference in the mean financial performances of the D-SIBs and D-NSIBs in Nigeria over the study period. It is therefore recommended that bank managements exercise due diligence in controlling operating costs of banks and Regulators should pay equal supervisory and regulatory attention to all banks without discrimination as all DMBs have the potential to exhibit systemic importance in the long run.
