Increase of entropy for black holes in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory

We establish the physical process version of first law by studying small perturbations of a stationary black hole with regular bifurcation surface in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) gravity. We shaow that when a stationary black hole is perturbed by matter stress energy tensor and settles down to a new stationary state, the Wald entropy increases if the matter satisfies null energy condition.

We establish the physical process version of the first law by studying small perturbations of a stationary black hole with a regular bifurcation surface in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity.
