ISLAMIC LEARNING MODEL FOR STREET CHILDREN

This study aims to analyze the Islamic learning model for street children. Street children are children who spend their time on the streets to live, work, play, study, and so on. The reasons these children choose to live on the streets are mostly due to internal family and economic conditions. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature review study approach. A literature review is a research method in which the way to collect data is to read, understand, and review previous articles, books, and journals. The result of this study is that the Islamic learning model that is suitable to be applied to street children is a religious humanist model. Islamic religious education can be integrated with psychological methods that support the development of street children. The combination of Islamic religious values and a good psychological approach can help shape the character of these children, give them hope, and guide them toward a better life. Therefore, investment and attention to Islamic religious education for street children should be considered an important effort in creating a better generation in the future. Based on the discussion in this paper, further research is needed related to Islamic learning methods and effective psychological approaches for street children. In addition, the role of the government is needed to help overcome the problem of street children's education.

Guidance and Science Skills for Street Children

Various programs were developed in response to the street children problem in Indonesia. The government (social services) has implemented a policy to overcome the problem of street children in the city of Jambi, including creating a shelter home policy for street children to study and provide skills in the field of science. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of skills in the field of science in handling street children. This research uses empirical demonstration and juridical methods using research specifications, population, samples, informants, data collection, data processing, and analysis. The results of the research show that skills in the field of science are very effective in developing street children in the city of Jambi, although they have not optimally reduced the number of street children in the city of Jambi due to several factors, both internal and external.

Street children in the DKI Jakarta area have social problems, they must be trained by professional experts in institutions, therefore social workers are part of the work that is carried out every day to serve dozens, even hundreds of social assistance participants. Good human resource management is needed to ensure that it does not have an impact on increasing social problems on the streets. Therefore, one of the efforts of social workers to properly implement the roles of social workers, one of which is broker. This research aims to determine the causes of children living on the streets, to determine the role of social workers at the Bina Pemuda Taruna Jaya 2 Social Institution and to determine the social functioning of street children at the Taruna Jaya Youth Development Institution 2. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. And determining informants uses purposive sampling. To overcome the social problems of street children, as a social worker, he carries out general roles at the Bina Pemuda Taruna Jaya Social Institution 2. The services provided by the institution to improve the social functioning of street children are in the form of administrative services, health services, family services, practical skills education services , there is social counseling guidance, equipped with basic needs, good social roles and can solve problems on their own.

Experience of implementing foster care in some foreign countries

It is indicated that child homelessness is a very urgent problem in many countries of the world. Unfortunately, Ukraine is not an exception.The history of the development of patronage in Ukraine has a long history. Foster care sometimes existed as an alternative form of education for orphans and children deprived of parental care, and then disappeared for decades. Perhaps this was the reason for such a low level of legislative regulation.A foster family is a form of temporary placement of children who have found themselves in a difficult life situation, with the aim of rehabilitation, change of situation in the native family, and in case of impossibility - transfer for adoption. The purpose of this form of education is to realize the child’s priority right to life and upbringing in the family, which are enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. A foster family is an alternative form of upbringing, which is used when, due to objective reasons, the application of adoption or guardianship is impossible. A child is transferred to a foster family on the basis of a civil law contract, and in some countries an employment contract is additionally concluded between the foster carer and the child placement service.It is noted that a child under foster care is a child who has not reached the age of sixteen, who is cared for by providing all the necessary conditions for life and development, a person who is not the child’s father, but who is responsible for the child. The appointment of a certain person as a foster carer, as well as the deprivation of this status, is documented. At the same time, social agencies are obliged to provide potential foster carers with information about their rights and the procedure for appealing the decision.The article describes the experience of foster parenting in some foreign countries in which legislative regulation of foster relations characterized by a rather high level (the UK , France, Sweden). Practice shows that patronage in Ukraine has a narrow range of applications due to significant gaps in the law, and certainly not conducive to combat the serious problem of street children as. According to the analysis of legal regulation of foster parenting in some foreign countries and foster care in Ukraine , recommendations indicated the positive elements that could usefully borrow to improve legal regulation of foster relations in Ukraine.

PERAN KOMUNITAS OMAH DHUAFA DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN ANAK JALANAN DI KABUPATEN GRESIK

The issue of street children is a social problem that is constantly developing. Street children arise because of marginalization and polarization, which if left unchecked can lead to social inequality in society. The increase in street children in Gresik Regency shows that the government has not fully overcome this problem. For this reason, these social issues need to be resolved together. The existence of civil society is an alternative to intervene in alleviating the problem of street children. One of them is the existence of a Non-Govenmental Organization in Gresik Regency, namely the Omah Dhuafa Community which seeks to realize the welfare of street children through empowerment activities. This study aims to find out about the role of the Omah Dhuafa Community in providing empowerment to street children in Gresik Regency. The research method used is qualitative, where data collection is obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research and discussion, shows that the homeless community has carried out its role well, even though there are limitations in providing empowerment for street children, such as limitations in collaborating with the government, as well as limitations in providing training to street children.

Living on the Margin of Life: The Condition of Street Children During Covid-19 Outbreak in Three Selected Towns of SNNPR (Sodo, Jinka, and Arbaminch)

The objective of this study is to assess the socio-economic impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on street children, their awareness about COVID-19 transmission and support of government to street children in three selected towns of SNNPR (Jinka, Arbaminch, and Sodo). To achieve these objectives, concurrent mixed research designs were employed. To identify respondents, both convenience and purposive sampling techniques were used. Data were collected from both primary and secondary sources. As instruments of data collection; interview schedules, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and key informant interviews were used. Finally, data were analyzed and interpreted using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The finding of the study depicted that the outbreak of COVID-19 worsen the social and economic problem of street children. Despite the social and economic impacts of COVID-19, no permanent support was given to the children both by the government and charity organizations. Moreover, the finding showed that street children suffer from various problems like lack of basic needs, depression and deprivation of work opportunity. Thus, holistic intervention should be used to address various problems that street children faced.

The Role of the Social Service in Empowering Street Children Through the Halfway House Program

The main problem in this thesis is the role of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Social Service in empowering street children through the Baiturrahman Shelter House program, where the empowerment process does not occur in the shelter that is aimed at street children, but is aimed at underprivileged people who are outside place to stay temporarily if one of their family is hospitalized. The type of research used is field research with qualitative research methods. This research was conducted at the Indragiri Hilir Regency Social Service office using interview instruments, documentation using cellphone media, books and pens. In this study, the data sources obtained were primary data sources and secondary data. While the data analysis technique used was data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing and to check the validity of the data, the researchers used source triangulation and technical triangulation and time. Based on the research findings, the authors found that the Baiturrahman shelter program was not focused on street children, but for underprivileged people who are outside the area for temporary stays. If one of their family members is hospitalized, they may stay temporarily at home. the stopover was for three days by bringing a number of requirements such as a family card (kk), a statement of incapacity (SKTM) and a statement letter to be cared for for a sick family member from the hospital. Regarding shelters for street children, they are only opened as a form of service, such as if the street children are caught in a raid by the Satpol PP, then the child will be taken to the Baiturrahman shelter to be given advice and the child's parents will be called to pick up their child at the halfway house, not only that the Office of Social Affairs also works with related OPDs to deal with the problem of street children. The Indragiri Hilir Regency Social Service also provided assistance in the form of groceries to the underprivileged and for street children and for street children who did not have clothes and footwear, the Social Service also provided assistance in the form of clothing and footwear for these street children.

Penerapan Teori Planned Behavior Dalam Mempengaruhi Niat Remaja Jalanan Menjadi Peer Educator

The problem of street children is still a social problem that must be addressed today, including reproductive health issues. However, the efforts that have been made by the government are still not successful, so it needs innovation to provide reproductive health education to street children. One program that is worth trying is peer education. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the intention to become a peer educator of street youth in Semarang City. This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population was 150 street children under the auspices of an NGO partnering with the Department of Social Service. The sampling techniques were purposive sampling and accidental sampling. The sample was 91 respondents. The result showed that 49% of street youth that has the intention to be peer educator was influenced by attitude (p-value = 0,000), subjective norm consisting of parents (p-value = 0,005), friend (p-value = 0,021), NGO companion (p-value = 0,001), perceived control behavior (p-value = 0,000). It is hoped that government, especially the Department of Social Service and NGOs can provide and facilitate a supportive environment for the street youth to have the opportunity to improve their quality of life through peer educators by fulfilling basic needs first before preparing for further matters.

STREET CHILD MANAGEMENT POLICY AT SOCIAL OFFICE OF MAKASSAR CITY, INDONESIA

The purpose of this research is to find out the policies implemented by the government and to identify what factors are inhibiting and encouraging the government in carrying out policies to deal with the problem of street children in the city of Makassar. Research method the research conducted in this research is qualitative. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The reason for using qualitative is the experience of researchers where this method can be used to find and understand the meaning of a phenomenon that is sometimes difficult to understand. Descriptive qualitative research seeks to describe, record, analyze, and interpret current conditions. The results of this study are road-based coaching; The purpose of this service is to prevent street children in the category of children working on the street from falling into the trap of becoming criminals. Efforts are made for them to live decent lives. Community-based coaching; Social services for street children are focused on the community environment, based on where they live. This service involves all families and street children, as well as all members of the community. In this service, the aim is to prevent children from poor families who have a high risk of becoming street children. So that they don't have the opportunity to take to the streets and be sure to be returned to their families. Centre-based coaching; Children caught in raids will be recorded and then rehabilitated. This service aims to heal them from the physical, psychological, and social injuries they have experienced, after recovering from the influence of street children's lives, then they can return to their families. They are given guidance and facilities during their rehabilitation.

Fenomena Anak Jalanan di Kota Makassar dan Problematika yang Dihadapi

The problem of street children is a problem that has become a problem in every city, especially big cities like Makassar. The problem that is present actually arises in children in the underage age group who have to feel the harshness of life on the streets. Busking, begging, selling, and committing crimes to survive. Being a street kid is not a desirable option for everyone, especially when it comes to safety. Street children are often considered a problem, and there are no regulations that can overcome this phenomenon. This study used a literature study to explore the causes, life order, and vulnerabilities faced by street children who tend to behave deviantly. The results of the study showed that the existence of street children was caused by poverty, personality deviations, and external factors of the child. They have their own living order and are often regarded as the scum of society. Street life that is not conducive and lack of supervision from the family makes street children very vulnerable to various forms of violence. Therefore, to overcome the problem of street children, a complete change is needed so that they do not return to live and work on the streets again.

Efektivitas Pemerintah dalam Mencegah Serta Mengurangi Anak Jalanan di Kota Batam

The purpose of this study is to determine the negative impact that occurs due to urbanization or the large number of migrants entering the city of Batam from various regions without having expertise. This will cause various social problems. The Batam city government has prepared a regional regulation for handling the poor and neglected children. By using Non Doctrinal Sociological Research Methods, which means using empirical data obtained through interviews and observations, this study aims to examine the regulation of street children, social effectiveness, and the efforts made by the Batam City government in overcoming the problems of street children. The results of the study explain that the effectiveness of local regulations is still lacking and even the Batam city government has not done anything about the substance of the problems of street children.

Socio-legal Issues of the Street Children in India and their Protection

Innumerable children in India are deprived of their basic human rights. They are forced to work in an age when they should learn as how to read and write. These children became “street children” due to loss of their family or due to some other reasons. Despite the fact that the Constitution of India provides rights to everyone, the bitter truth is that there is a large section of children are deprived of basic human rights. These children are so helpless that they cannot even raise their voice for their basic human rights or are even not aware of their basic human rights. There are many international conventions and declarations on child rights which reflect the commitment of the international community to provide basic human rights to each and every child. At national level also there are various number of legislations which seeks to mitigate the condition of the children and to protect them from exploitation. But the ground reality is something else. The street children are fighting for their bare survival and the issue of development is far away from them. This article seeks to explore the causes of street(ism), the problems of the street children and attempts to critically analyze that how far the legal framework at national and international level is capable of protecting the street children. The article also reflects the data on the plight of rights of the street children, role of Judiciary, NGO and role of police in their protection. Further it seeks to find out the possible measures to curb the problems of street children and thus guarantee them their human rights and necessities in life and an atmosphere in which they can develop their overall personality.

Permasalahan Anak Jalanan di Surabaya (Studi Eksploratif Eksploitasi Anak Jalanan di Surabaya)

Abstract. This paper explored the problems of street children in Surabaya, especially the exploitation of street children. This paper has a subject to find out the causes of the emergence of street children and also the forms and causes of exploitation of street children in Surabaya. This paper was an exploratory paper with data collected through literature study. The problem in this research is examined using the household survival strategy theory by Harbirson. The results of this study indicate that there were several factors that can cause the emergence of street children, namely in the form of economic factors or poverty, family factors, and also community factors. Street children are children who are prone to exploitation. The form of exploitation of street children can be in the form of being forced to work for more than 8 hours and consuming a lot of time for street children so that they cannot do what children their age should do. The other forms of exploitation of street children are taking wages and acts of intimidation and violence carried out by parents or thugs who have power in the area where street children are doing their activites.

Peran Dinas Sosial dan Penanggulangan Kemiskinan Kota Bandung dalam Memberikan Perlindungan Hukum terhadap Anak Jalanan

Children are the hope and pioneer of the life of a country in the future, so a child has the right of their growth and development to obtain education, protection from violence, discrimination, and live in security and peace from various parties, namely family, community and government. This also applies to street children who are identical as a person/group of children who spend most of their time on the streets and come from various backgrounds, thus forcing them to be on the streets. Due to the increasing number of street children, it is necessary to get strict handling by not forgetting the rights that must be obtained. Bandung, which is one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia, is the reason the researchers chose us in studying the problems regarding street children. This problem is studied based on the Perda Kota Bandung No. 4 Tahun 2019 concerning the Implementation of Child Protection which is the basis for handling street children problems carried out by the Dinas Sosial dan Penanggulangan Kemiskinan Kota Bandung. Researchers want to know what steps have been taken, obstacles and efforts that have been made. The research we conducted used a descriptive qualitative method with interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. From this, it was found that the steps or actions of the Dinas Sosial dan Penanggulangan Kemiskinan Kota Bandung in dealing with the problem of street children in accordance with the Perda Kota Bandung No. 4 Tahun 2019 concerning the Implementation of Child Protection is to form a USR Team and the construction of a Shelter House specifically intended for temporary shelter for the street children.

Streetism: The effects and coping mechanism of street children in Gondar City, Ethiopia

As one of the metropolitan cities in Amhara’s national regional state, Gondar is being beleaguered by the problem of street children. The present study attempted to highlight the effects of streetism and the coping mechanisms of street children. The qualitative research approach was adopted and data were collected from 15 selected street children. The majority of street children were discovered to be between the ages of 8 and 12 years. Thematic analysis was conducted to further understand the lives of street children. Street children suffer from the burden of having to handle responsibilities at an early age. Thus, the findings of the study illustrate that the issue of street children cannot be viewed as an economic phenomenon alone but as a social and psychological one as well. Consequently, the study highlights that even in settings where street children are standardised, leaving home very early is related to negative outcomes. Performance Analysis of the Medan City Social and Cemetery Service (Case Study: Guidance for Street Children)

Medan is the capital city of North Sumatra Province which is also concerned about the fate of street children. The number of street children in Medan City is significant enough to be considered as one of the social problems of the community. The local government of Medan made a concerted effort to eliminate street children in the city. The main purpose of the author's research is to find a means of providing training for street children. The authors of this paper investigate a qualitative analytical approach. While the descriptive analysis of the spoken words and observable behavior of the people being studied is the data analysis technique used. Based on the research findings, the data obtained from direct questions and answers to informants were analyzed, resulting in five elements of government functions as follows: (1) Service provision as a concept has been formulated adequately, but they lack the necessary facilities to support it, because only one has training facilities. (2) In terms of regulation, the City of Medan does not yet have a special regional regulation for street children; On the other hand, street children are only one of the studies contained in the Medan City Regulation Number 12 of 2008 concerning Social Order. (3) The coordination of the review is quite good, as can be seen from the joint raids by the Medan City Social and Cemetery Service, as well as other agencies that took to the streets together. (4) Representatives, members of the DPR who represent the people, who cooperate with the Medan City Social and Cemetery Service, and who receive special funds from the DPRD according to a special budget for the development of street children. (5) Development, the Social Service, and the Medan Cemetery, only have one forum, namely LBK, the latest condition is far from being maintained, and there has been no work on social problems at LBK until the end of this research. The burial of street children in Medan City in fostering development activities, among others, the construction of additional houses being built, and the need for understanding and support from all components of society and the government to resolve or at least reduce the problem of street children.

The Role of Humus NGO in Children Empowerment Streets in the East Bekasi Project Market Area

The number of street children is currently increasing, especially in the Bekasi area, many street children in search of economic needs, become buskers, beggars, scavengers, hawkers. The government has regulations on the fate of child laborers, but the government has not been able to handle the problem of street children. Therefore, it is necessary to have a synergy between the government and the community as well as NGOs in solving the problems of street children. Seeing the increasing problem of street children, for this reason, the participation of the community and NGOs is expected to reduce the number of street children through empowerment programs for street children, then what is the role of the HUMUS NGO in empowering street children in the Pasar Project area of ​​East Bekasi programs in the empowerment of street children, how street children respond to empowerment, and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the empowerment program. In empowering the HUMUS NGO, it runs educational programs, such as early childhood education (PAUD), tutoring, equivalence education packages A, B, and C, religious education, formal school scholarships, child and family counseling, and the arts. The results of this study indicate that the HUMUS NGO provides empowerment in the form of educational programs such as early childhood education (PAUD), tutoring, equivalence education packages A, B, and C, religious education, formal school scholarships, child and family counseling, and art. The response from street children is quite good in accepting the program and the response from parents and the community is quite good in supporting the existence of the HUMUS NGO in running the program. There are also supporting factors, such as the motivation of street children to learn, the existence of educators to teach, adequate facilities, and support from the surrounding community. As for the inhibiting factors in carrying out each activity program, such as funding or finance, the mental attitude of street children who are accustomed to being on the road so it is difficult to manage, social workers who come in and out, and the traditions of the local community who are poor.

PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP EKSPLOITASI EKONOMI ANAK JALANAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM PERLINDUNGAN ANAK

The problem of street children is a form of violation of children's rights. Fulfillment of children's rights is a top priority that must be fulfilled in relation to guarantees of legal protection and fulfillment of children's rights as stated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This study uses a normative legal method with a statutory approach (statue approach) and a conceptual approach (conceptual approach). Sources of data used are primary and secondary legal materials, data collection techniques using interviews. The results of this study indicate that the legal basis for the protection of street children can refer to the law on child protection and local regulations of the City of Mojokerto regarding the protection of street children and the welfare of the elderly. However, the implementation is not optimal because the legal protection provided to street children is still repressive. Even though legal protection is repressive in nature, the provision of criminal sanctions and imprisonment still requires preventive legal protection efforts. Preventive legal protection can be carried out by collaborating with the young Majapahit movement community to provide preventive legal protection efforts through: mental-spiritual guidance, skills training, sex education, and educational funding assistance. Literature Review: Masalah Kesehatan Anak Jalanan

An increase in the number of street children saved by the world due to several factors such as family problems, poverty, difficulties in the household, parents, challenges, and family assistance are also reasons why children prefer to choose the road. This literature review aims to analyze or find out about health problems in street children. After reviewing the 5 articles, it can be concluded that three problems are often faced by street children, namely physical, psychological and social health problems. The problem of street children is a shared responsibility, the need for the role of cross-sectoral cooperation, both government, community, and educational institutions to solve the problems of street children. From this research, it is concluded that three problems are often faced by street children, namely physical, psychological and social health problems. Physical problems often experienced by street children are growth and nutrition problems, physical injuries, parasites and community-acquired infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health problems, sexual violence and abuse, drug use and abuse. Meanwhile, the psychological problems of street children include psychiatric disorders such as depression, hopelessness, and suicidal thoughts. The social health problems of street children are economic and social. Street children are also often victims of neglect, psychological, physical, sexual abuse and are susceptible to sexually transmitted infections.
