INVESTIGATING STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN ANALYZING COMPLEX PROCEDURAL TEXT USING THE PROBING PROMPTING LEARNING MODEL

This study aims at exploring the ability of the 7th grade students in analyzing structure of complex procedure text using probing prompting learning model approach. This descriptive study was carried out at SMP Negeri 12 Manado located in Bunaken, Manado city. 20 7th grade students were the object of this study. The research was conducted from October to November in 2021 academic year. Data collection techniques involved observation and tests, while data analysis used the percentage formula. The results showed that students' ability to analyze the structure of complex procedural texts, especially on the topic "How to plant flowers," was categorized as proficient with a class average score of 82.5%, exceeding the 80% limit. In detail, the average score of students in the title section is 82.5%, which is also classified as proficient. While in the objective section, the average score was 73.33%, which can be classified as moderately capable. The tools and materials section received an average score of 98.33%, which is included in the excelent category. Then, in the steps section, the average score was 78.75%, which falls into the moderately capable category. Finally, in the closing section, students achieved an average score of 85%, which is also classified as proficient.

The Application of Probing Prompting Learning Models in Mastering Foreign Language Vocabulary

This study aims to obtain data about the probing prompting learning model in vocabulary mastery of the students of the Foreign Language Education Study Program, Department of Foreign Language Education, in a public university. This research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were 30 students of the 2019/2020 Odd Semester of Foreign Language Education Study Program. The research data consists of two types, namely, qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained through observation, while quantitative data were obtained through the results of the first cycle and second cycle vocabulary mastery tests. The data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results showed that the vocabulary mastery with the percentage of values obtained by the German Language Education Study Program students in the first cycle reached 67.65%, and the second cycle reached 84.52%. These results indicate that the application of the probing-prompting learning model increases the mastery of German vocabulary for students of the German Language Education Study Program, Department of Foreign Language Education of a public university.

The Effectiveness of the Probing Prompting Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Fiqh at Vocational High School

This research is an effort to improve fiqh learning using the probing prompting learning model to increase effectiveness in the learning system at the vocational school level. Through this approach students can develop a deep understanding of fiqh concepts more interactively and reflectively. Students need to understand religious concepts more maturely at the vocational school level. This study used an experimental research method consisting of an experimental class and a control class with the technique of collecting learning outcomes using an instrument test in the form of a Posttest only and the analysis used is Mann Whitney to analyze ordinal data which may be relevant in the context of driving questions and student responses which can be measured ordinally or qualitatively, to differentiate student responses between groups that use probing prompting and the control group, which produces asymp.sig <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then the results obtained by the researchers used the Mann-Whitney test with SPSS 25, namely 0.00 <0.05, which means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted that it can be concluded that the Probing Prompting Learning learning model is effective for class X student learning outcomes at SMK Muhamadiyah Sambungmacan, Central Java.

The Effect of Applying the Probing Prompting Learning Model Based on a Scientific Approach to Student Learning Outcomes in Social Arithmetic Mathematics Learning

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of applying the probing prompting learning model based on a scientific approach to student learning outcomes at SMP N 9 Muaro Jambi.
 Methodology: This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research design used was a random pretest posttest design. The research instruments are tests for the realm of knowledge and observation sheets for the realm of attitudes and skills. Data analysis to find out the average difference in the realm of knowledge used the one-tailed t test. Determination of increased learning outcomes using N-Gain. The description of the effect of applying the model is from the attitude and skills observation sheet.
 Main Findings: The probing prompting learning model based on a scientific approach influences student learning outcomes.
 Novelty/Originality of this study: As material for contributing ideas in order to develop the process of learning mathematics at the junior high school level or equivalent, especially in social arithmetic material.

The Influence of The Probing Prompting Learning Model on The Development of Students’ Critical Thinking Ability

It still has to be enhanced since students' critical thinking abilities on the subject matter of rotational dynamics and equilibrium of rigid bodies are still an issue. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the impact of the probing prompting learning model on students' capacity for critical thought with regard to the rotational dynamics and equilibrium of rigid bodies content. A total of 90 children from one of schools made up the sample for this study, which was performed there for four weeks in January 2023. The study approach employed was a quasi-experiment with a design for the control group that was not comparable. The Mann Whitney U examine was used to examine the validity of the hypothesis, and the findings revealed that Ho was rejected. The critical thinking abilities of students who study using the probing prompting model are significantly different from those of students who learn using traditional learning. In the experimental class, students' critical thinking scores increased more than those of the control class students. More than 80% of students expressed interest in using the probing prompting learning methodology. This study demonstrates how the probing prompting learning paradigm significantly enhances students' capacity for critical thought

Implementation Probing Prompting Learning Model on Students' Mathematical Concepts Understanding Ability and Self Confidence

The model of Probing prompts is learning with the way the teacher presents nature questions, lead, and dig so that student requires the ability to understand and develop draft mathematics in finished question. The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of the probing prompting learning model to the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of students' self-confidence in the material Algebraic Forms class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The method used in this study is an experimental method, with the experimental form used being the Quasy Experimental Design experiment, and the research design is a 2 x 3 factorial design. The population of this study was all grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya consisting of 5 classes, with samples of class VIIG and VIIH taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Based on the analysis of the variance of two paths with unequal cells, it was concluded that there is a significant difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts between probing prompting and conventional learning models regarding self-confidence in the material of algebraic forms.

The research was conducted at SD Negeri Sumur Peuteuy. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. In this study, class IV A was used as the experimental class and class IV B as the control class. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in students' critical thinking skills using the probing prompting learning model and students using the direct learning model. The purpose of the data analysis technique is to test the hypothesis using two tests and the right-hand side test. Based on the two-party hypothesis, tcount = 4,599 and ttable 2,010 so 4,599 > 2,010, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From this research, it can be said that the learning model applied in the experimental class (probing prompting learning model) and in the control class (direct learning model) shows the students' critical thinking skills. And the experimental class is better than the control class

Systematic Literature Review: Application of Probing Prompting Learning Model to Improve Students' Numeracy Skill

Numerical skills are important for students to have because numeracy skills are closely applied in everyday life. This article was written with the aim of finding out whether students' numeracy skills can be improved by applying the probing prompting learning model, how are the numeracy skill indicators, and how numeracy skills indicators can be integrated with probing prompting learning. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by reviewing 18 articles of accredited national journals on Sinta 2 to Sinta 5 and international journals indexed by Scopus with the keywords applying the probing prompting model and numeracy skills. The results showed that the implementation of the probing prompting learning model in mathematics learning could improve students' numeracy skills, and indicators of numeracy skills could be integrated in probing prompting learning.

Implementation of Probing Prompting to Improving Student Learning Outcomes on Ecosystem Material in Senior High School

Probing Prompting is a teaching model that presents the demanding nature of knowledge and explores students' knowledge so that students can think actively with the new knowledge they are learning. This research aimed to see the improvement in student learning outcomes and how much improvement is by applying the probing prompting learning model to the Ecosystem material in class X science at one of the senior high schools in Langsa. This study is a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative population approach used in this study of all class X science, namely as many as four classes. The Sample in this study is class X science two as the experimental class and X science three as the control class, with a total of 46 students. The instrument used is a multiple-choice written question total of 20 questions. Data analysis is used by hypothesis testing using the N-gain score formula. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes by applying probing prompting to ecosystem material in class X at one of the senior high schools in Langsa with an N-gain score of 65.09%, with the category being interpreted quite effectively.

Analisis Kemampuan Disposisi Matematis Melalui Model Pembelajaran Probing Prompting Pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah

This study aims to examine whether the achievement of the mathematical disposition of students who receive learning using the Probing-Prompting learning model is better than students who receive conventional learning. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. The research sample consisted of two classes. Obtained class X MM 1 as the experimental class who received the Probing Prompting learning model and class X MM 2 as the control class who received the Problem Based Learning learning model. The instrument used in this study was a liqueur scale questionnaire. The collected data was then processed using IBM SPSS 23.0 for Windows software. The results showed that the mathematical disposition of students who received learning using the Probing Prompting model was better than students who received the Problem Based Learning learning model

The Effect Of Probing-Prompting Learning Model On Students’ Interest And Learning Outcomes Of Mathematics In Grade IV SDN Tejo 1 Mojoagung Jombang

This study aims (1) to determine student learning outcomes on mathematics subjects with the influence of the probing-prompting learning model for fourth grade students. (2) to determine student responses to interest and student learning outcomes in mathematics with the influence of class IV probing-prompting learning model. (3) to explain whether or not there is an effect of the probing-prompting learning model on the interest and learning outcomes of fourth grade mathematics students at SDN Tejo 1 Mojoagung. This research was conducted at SDN Tejo 1 Mojoagung Jombang in April - May, 2021/2022 academic year. The research approach used in this research is quantitative, the type of research is descriptive research. The number of samples in this study amounted to 24 students in class IVB SDN Tejo 1 Mojoagung. In calculating the data analysis, the researcher used descriptive statistics and sample paired statistics. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and questionnaires as well as documentation. The results of data calculations using sample paired statistics state the results are sig2-talled) or the significance shows the results of 0.00 which means <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the learning process using the probing-prompting learning model on the interest and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in mathematics at SDN Tejo 1. Based on the results of the conclusions above, suggestions are made for teachers to use to apply learning with the Probing-prompting learning model in mathematics lessons on flat shapes in grade IV. Because the results of this study indicate the probing-prompting learning model has an effect on students' interests and learning outcomes.

Development of Probing-Prompting Learning Model Assisted by Mathematics Learning Module to Improve Students' Motivation and Mathematics Learning Outcomes

This study has the following objectives: 1) To determine the development of the probing-prompting learning model assisted by the mathematics learning module to increase students' motivation and mathematics learning outcomes, 2) To test the effectiveness of the probing-prompting learning model assisted by the mathematics learning module to increase motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics student. This type of research is an RnD (Research and Development) model using the 4-D method that Thiagarajan and Sammel developed, namely the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. This research was conducted at SMPN 01 Banjarharjo with a sample of 64 students. Collected data in this study using several instruments, including implementing learning plans, tests, motivation, and student response questionnaires. The results that have been obtained from the research are: 1) the Probing-Prompting learning model assisted by the Learning Module, after being validated and tested, it shows that it is convenient in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes, 2) The application of the Probing-Prompting learning model assisted by the Learning Module, can be said to be effective with an increase that occurred in students' motivation and mathematics learning outcomes.

Student Worksheet Design using Prompting Model to Facilitate Mathematics Problem Solving Ability

This study aims to determine the feasibility of LKPD teaching materials with the probing prompting learning model to facilitate the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students on the flat-sided building material (cubes and blocks) and to determine student responses to the developed student worksheets (LKPD). This study uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of the research data obtained, and it can be concluded that the student worksheet (LKPD) of the probing prompting model is suitable for use with the results of the material test ( x = 33), mathematics education test ( x = 54), and media expert test ( x = 63). Student responses when viewed based on the results of the overall aspect value of the limited scale test, the value ( x = 45.71) is in the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the students' responses to the wide-scale (field) test based on the overall aspect scored (x =46.81) with a very decent category.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Probing Prompting Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Segiempat

This article discusses the Effect of the Probing Prompting Learning Model on Students’ Learning Outcomes in a Rectangular topic to know the differences in learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Probing Prompting Learning Model and learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the direct Learning Model in Rectangular topic. The method used is an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling and the technique of data collection through tests in the form of essays. The result of the research showed that there were differences in learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Probing Prompting Learning Model and learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the direct Learning Model, whereas learning outcomes of students whose learning uses the Probing Prompting Learning Model were higher than learning outcomes of students whose learning uses direct Learning Model in Rectangular Topic. Probing prompting can guide students to express their ideas so that a process of thinking can generate each student's knowledge and experience.

Penerapan Model Probing Prompting Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berkomunikasi Siswa


 
 
 
 This study aims to: 1) determine students' communication skills before applying the Probing Prompting Learning Model in Civics lessons for fifth grade students, 2) determine students' communication skills after applying the Probing Prompting Learning Model in Civics lessons. fifth grade students, 3) improve students' communication skills in Civics material after applying the Probing Prompting learning method for fifth grade students. This study uses a Classroom Action Research approach. The data collection techniques in this study are observation and tests. The results showed that: 1) Through the Probing Prompting learning model there was an increase in the communication skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 101390 Batang Pane 1 in Civics learning. 2) Students' communication skills were obtained through the application of the Probing Prompting learning model, namely the average score of students' communication skills in the first cycle was 76.88 and increased by 94.75 in the second cycle. The Probing Prompting learning model has been implemented according to the learning scenario in class V at SD Negeri 101390 Batang Pane 1.
 
 
 

The Influence of Probing-Prompting Learning Model Towards Reading Comprehension of English Students at the Eleventh Grade of Senior High School No. 1 Jambi City

This research aims to find out whether there is any influence of probing-prompting learning model towards reading comprehension of English students at the eleventh grade of Senior High School No. 1 Jambi City. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a total population of 347 people. Through simple random sampling technique, 34 students of Class XI IPS 2 were selected as the control class and 36 students of Class XI IPS 3 were selected as the experimental class. The technique of collecting data is by distributing questions to research respondents. In this research, the data analysis technique was using the t test on the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for Windows version 25 program. The results of this research indicate that (1) students’ reading comprehension in English subject taught using the probing-prompting learning model obtained an arithmetic mean of 75.89; (2) students’ reading comprehension in English subject taught using the lecture-based learning model obtained an arithmetic mean of 69.24; and (3) students’ reading comprehension in English subject taught using the probing-prompting learning model are higher than students’ reading comprehension in English subject taught using lecture-based learning model with a value of Sig. 0.000 > 0.05. Furthermore, there is an influence on the use of the probing- prompting learning model towards students’ reading comprehension as evidenced by the increase in students’ learning outcomes.Keywords: Probing-Prompting Learning Model, Reading Comprehension

Upaya peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran Probing-Prompting pada materi sistem gerak kelas XI IPA

ABSTRACT The research activities carried out have the aim of obtaining information about how the effect of the application or use of the Probing-Prompting learning model on the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja. The research that was conducted was using the Pre-Experimental Design method with the Random Sampling technique. The data obtained was carried out in class XI IPA 2 while the number of students was 31 people. The research instrument or tool used in the study is the initial and final test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The value obtained in the form of posttest average student learning outcomes, which is higher than the average value obtained during the pretest, which is 79.55 and 429.21. From the results of data analysis, hypothesis testing using t-test with the help of the Statiscal Program for Social Science. (SPSS20) the t-count is 38.358, while the t-table is 2.1423. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that tcount ttable, which is 38.3758 2.1423, which means H0 is rejected while Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the application of the Probing-Prompting learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja on Motion System Material.Keywords: Probing-Prompting, Learning Outcomes, Movement System.
