This program aims to enrich teachers’ pedagogical approaches to character education, equipping them to cultivate essential virtues in their students. The project introduces children to foundational virtues and equips them to apply these principles in daily interactions. Through this program, students develop a ‘language of virtues’ that promotes positive communication and fosters empathy, understanding, and patience. ‘Knights and Ladies’ builds character and emotional maturity by encouraging self-refection and appreciation for ‘noble qualities’. The project emphasizes the importance of integrating virtue education into the core curriculum, creating a holistic educational approach that nourishes both the mind and the heart. By focusing on universal human virtues, the program provides a foundation for students to build meaningful lives.

Multimedia Human-Computer Interaction Technology in Preschool Education

With the increasing of computing and network technology, there has been a rise in children's educational and entertainment software. However, these software applications depend on mouse and keyboard input, which may be tedious and challenging for children. Moreover, these applications fail to capture the interaction between users and computers. This study proposes design principles for children's human-computer interaction based on children's cognitive, psychological, and physiological attributes, and outlines a framework accordingly. The framework integrates natural human-computer interaction technologies, such as physical operation interface, gesture interaction, low-level semantics-based human-computer interaction, and high-level semantics-based human-computer interaction, with the aim of facilitating seamless and intuitive interaction between children and computers. Finally, the results demonstrating the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed human-computer interaction technology as a child-centered virtual reality application tool.

Exploring the impact of HCI on smart buildings: A comprehensive literature review on user experience and sustainability

This paper provides insights into the application of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles in the field of smart building design, particularly their impact on improving occupant comfort, building energy efficiency, and the user interaction experience. The research context focuses on advances in HCI and the importance of smart buildings in enhancing quality of life and sustainability. The research theme focuses on how HCI principles can be utilized to improve the user interface design of smart buildings in order to promote more effective user-building system interactions. Through an extensive review of existing literature in the area of HCI and smart buildings, including recent research papers, case study reports, and technical overviews, this study concentrates on analyzing examples of HCI applications in smart lighting, temperature control systems, and energy management. Through this comprehensive literature review, this paper aims to illustrate how HCI principles can provide theoretical and practical guidance for the design of more humanized, interactive and environmentally friendly smart buildings, thereby providing insights and recommendations for future smart building design and research.

Error analysis and correction of atmospheric disturbance for interferometric imaging radar altimeter

The interferometric imaging radar altimeter (InIRA) is a newly developed microwave remote sensing system in recent years. It is of great significance to analyze the main sources of its height measurement error through simulation, and to develop the corresponding image phase error correction methods. This can provide basis and reference for the subsequent correction of the real images phase error. In this study, according to the interaction principle between atmospheric interference and InIRA radar electromagnetic waves, the influence of background ionosphere and background troposphere on height measurement error is analyzed by introducing ionosphere and troposphere delays into echo signals respectively. The impact of ionospheric scintillation and atmospheric turbulence on the height measurement error is analyzed by building multi-layer phase screen models. Then according to the analysis results, a phase error correction method for InIRA images combined by the improved fruit fly optimization algorithm (IFOA) and the joint minimum entropy criterion (JMEC) is proposed. The image is divided into several sub-images with negligible spatial variation of phase error according to the principle of first range and then azimuth. IFOA is used to search the optimal phase compensation values iteratively to compensate the phase of all sub-images. When the joint entropy of the sub-images reaches the minimum value, the phase error correction of the whole InIRA image is completed. Experimental results show that the proposed method can correct the phase of InIRA images with inconspicuous features and polluted by weak ionospheric scintillation and atmospheric turbulence relatively quickly. After correction, the height measurement error can be reduced from decimeter level to centimeter level. The correction accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method are superior to those of the method combined by particle swarm optimization algorithm and joint minimum entropy criterion (PSO-JMEC), the method combined by genetic algorithm and joint minimum entropy criterion (GA-JMEC), the method combined by phase gradient autofocus and Map Drift (PGA-MD), and improved PGA-MD algorithm.

The methodological model for the formation of future English teachers' pragmatic competence based on Web 2.0 technologies

In the article pragmatic competence as a subcompetence within the framework of foreign language communicative competence was considered, which is the speaker's ability and willingness to reproduce pragmatically literate statements, as well as interpret the pragmatic intention of another speaker. Ignorance of pragmatic structures and principles can lead to misunderstandings in extreme cases. For future teachers and teachers of a foreign language, mastering pragmatic competence is important to transfer knowledge properly about the discipline being taught. The principle of interactivity is one of the most important in the formation of foreign language pragmatic competence, and also acts as the main didactic property of Web 2.0 technologies, which contributed to the choice of these tools in this study. The results of fundamental research conducted in the countries of the far and near abroad on the formation of pragmatic competence for the development of a model for the formation of future English teachers’ foreign language pragmatic competence were analyzed. Thus, the authors propose their own model of learning aimed at the formation of students' pragmatic competence based on Web 2.0 technologies, which includes five interrelated component blocks: prerequisites, a block of target definition, a theoretical block, a functional block of technology, an evaluative and effective block. Only the integration of all these components of the model will contribute to achieving its goal. The use of this model during the research experiment significantly improved the professional training of future English teachers and the formation of a high level of foreign language pragmatic competence

Development of an Inclusive Visual Dictionary for Autistic Children Using Human-Computer Interaction

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often face challenges in social interaction and communication. ASD communication resources will help in comprehensiveness, user-friendliness, and individual customization which this research addresses by developing a comprehensive Visual Dictionary (VD) designed specifically for their ASD needs. The research leverages on the visual strengths of children with ASD by creating a visually engaging and interactive dictionary using Figma tool due to its flexibility. The Visual Dictionary will provide a wide range of vocabulary and concepts relevant to children with ASD, promoting communication development, language skills, by employing Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles, the dictionary was designed in a user-friendly manner and accessible for children with varying abilities. The Visual Dictionary has the potential to improve communication skills, social interaction, and cognitive development in children with ASD. Image and verbal text interfaces of internet memes: a cognitive analysis

The article focuses on image-text interface types of Internet memes mocking the same viral event – Melania Trump’s speech at the Republican Party convention. The future first lady’s address contained borrowings from Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic Party convention. The relevance of the study is accounted for both by the social significance of visual-verbal Internet memes as a tool influencing the formation of the Internet users’ views and by the need to elucidate the principles of interaction between the verbal and visual modes of memes in creating a humorous effect, which is the aim of the study. The application of cognitive linguistics methods, in particular, the tools of the theory of conceptual integration for multimodal analysis of communication, made it possible to establish four types of visual and verbal text interfaces. It has been concluded that simple visual-verbal metonymy underlies memes, in which the humorous effect is achieved through the interaction of an image that provides access to a viral event mocked by the meme and a verbal text that activates a certain metonymic association highlighting a feature of the event that is incompatible with the expectations provided by the generic space of the viral event. In memes built on the basis of visual metonymy and verbal allusion, incompatible conceptual structures are activated with the help of allusive connection. Radial visual-verbal metonymy occurs when an image engages a series of metonymic features linked by a radial semantic link, whereas the verbal text highlights the incompatibility of these features with the actual features of the viral event. The interaction of allusion and diffuse visual-verbal metonymy is the cognitive basis of memes, in which access to a viral event is provided by verbal allusion, while the image contains signs of absurdity and triggers metonymic associations that are not based on expected connections.

THE CULTURAL TRADITION AS A STYLISTIC FACTOR IN THE CHORAL MUSIC OF YU. ISHCHENKO

The author investigated the choral work by Yuriy Ishchenko in the context of the cultural processes of Ukrainian composers' creativity of the second half of the 20th - beginning of the 21st centuries. The research has proposed subject-content levels of studying the individual author's creative dialogue of the composer with the traditions of Ukrainian and European musical culture. It was found that the choral works of Yuriy Ishchenko are built according to traditional principles, but at the same time they carry new ideas and meanings. The dialogical nature of the composer's creative consciousness as a creative personality existing in the cultural space of modernity is described. An attempt was made to determine the stylistic specificity of Yuriy Ishchenko's choral work in the aspect to actualize its representativeness against the background of the functioning of the cultural tradition in the space of further artistic practice. The organic connection between the creative practice of this outstanding representative of the Ukrainian school of composers and the structural levels of tradition as a special form of culture is substantiated. It was established that the choral work of Yuryi Ishchenko demonstrates a new vision, understanding and individual creative reproduction of the cultural tradition as a fundamental basis of the composer's practice. It is noted that tradition acts as the main "regulator" of the dynamic ratio of "old" and "new" in musical culture. The principles of interaction of dynamic (individual-functional-creative) and static (objective-content) complexes of cultural tradition in the space of musical creativity are traced. It has been proven that the choral works of Yuryi Ishchenko are the genre-stylistic "core" of the composer's creative experience, in which the genetic links between the musical art of the 20th century and the traditions of European and Ukrainian culture were actualized. The neo-folkloric and neo-romantic stylistics of the choral works of the Ukrainian composer are personified, as well as their musical and stylistic orientation towards the aesthetics of the "new sacredness".

Thermodynamic properties and CO2 absorption performance of the deep eutectic solvent (dipropylene glycol + 1, 2-propylenediamine) + H2O

This work selected dipropylene glycol (DPG) as the hydrogen bond donors to amalgamate with 1, 2-propylenediamine (1,2-PDA) as hydrogen bond acceptors, and introduced water into this system, adjusting the molar ratios of components to modulate the physicochemical properties of deep eutectic solvents. The discourse commences with the fundamental exploration of solution density and viscosity, delving into the microscopic principles of intermolecular interactions, and scrutinizing factors mitigating amine loss in the process of CO2 sequestration. Optimizing the performance of amine solutions by introducing alcohol substances and subsequently incorporating water to enhance their CO2 absorption capacity is undertaken. Based on the measured density and viscosity data of (DPG + 1,2-PDA) + H2O, fitting and molecular simulation calculations are performed to ascertain the most potent binding forms. Hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance, Raman, and Fluorescence spectral analyses were also carried out to demonstrate the presence of intermolecular hydrogen bonding in the form of –OH···N(H2)- between DPG and 1,2-PDA. Ultimately, the solution undergoes CO2 absorption capacity determination to assess its absorptive efficacy.

Feature selection considering feature relevance, redundancy and interactivity for neighbourhood decision systems

Feature selection is an effective method to simplify data analysis and obtain key features, which improves the accuracy and generalization ability of classifiers. Neighbourhood rough set is a typical granular computing model that enables data analysis at different granularity by setting different neighbourhood radii. In recent years, feature selection based on neighbourhood rough sets has received widespread attention from researchers. However, these models still have the following shortcomings. On the one hand, they rarely simultaneously consider the relevance, the redundancy and interactivity among features, making it difficult to accurately depict classification information in the data. On the other hand, there is still a lack of effective uncertainty measures to evaluate the classification ability of feature subsets. For these reasons, this article proposes a feature selection model that considers the relevance, redundancy, and interactivity of features. Firstly, the relevance, the redundancy and interactivity between features, are defined based on the neighbourhood, respectively. Secondly, a new feature evaluation function (MMM function) is proposed based on the principles of maximum relevance, minimum redundancy, and maximum interactivity. Finally, from the perspective of maintaining classification ability, a heuristic feature selection algorithm (FS_CRRI) was designed. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, it was compared with some representative feature selection algorithms on twelve common datasets. The experimental results on three different classifiers indicate that the FS_CRRI algorithm can effectively reduce data and achieve higher classification performance.

Use of Interaction for Enhanced Communication in Engish as a Second Language Classroom

Introduction: The acquisition of English as a Second Language (ESL) is in demand due to globalization. Although educators apply different techniques in teaching the English language effectively; acquiring a second language should incorporate interaction to facilitate both educators and learners to communicate effectively. Objective: This review aims to empower educators to incorporate interaction into active learning within the ESL classroom by exploring valuable insights from scholarly perspectives, encompassing various types of interaction, interaction principles, the pivotal roles of teachers, and a diverse range of activities to enhance communication in ESL classrooms. Methodology: A standardized methodology was deployed in this review. The literature review was carried out using keywords related to ESL classrooms and interaction to search for scholarly articles and books from 1978 to 2023. Non-peer-reviewed sources and non-English language studies were excluded. The extracted data were thematically analyzed. Results: The review identified student interaction as a fundamental element in the acquisition of English as a second language. Further, it was found that various interaction types, peer interaction, interactive principles, the teacher's role, and classroom activities are conducive to enhanced communication in ESL classrooms. Conclusion: Interaction stands as an indispensable foundation for achieving success in the acquisition of English as a second language. The factors discussed in this review empower educators to seamlessly integrate interaction into second language acquisition.

Preserving Authentic Decoration in the Entrance Spaces of Residential Buildings in Eastern Galicia from the late 19th to the First Third of the 20th Century: Restoration Experience

The special role in shaping the entrance spaces of buildings, their artistic expressiveness belonged to decorative art, as architects used such materials as artistic wood, artistic metal, artistic glass, artistic ceramics, artistic paintings, sculptural forms, decorative stone and other elements for decorating entrance spaces. Sometimes, one motif could be the main focus in the decor of entrance spaces, echoing with artistic paintings, decor on ceramic tiles, etched pseudo-stained glass, supraports and wrought ironwork of stair railings according to the principle of interaction of arts. However, there are cases of staircases, artistic paintings or stained-glass windows that are not continued in the patterns of ceramic tiles, decor of walls and ceilings, railing enclosures, or artistic solutions of entrance gates. In such cases, these decorative elements act as an accent in the interior. Natural studies allow to systematize the typology of doors based on a number of characteristics: material of manufacture, stylistic execution, principles of decorative solution, location of artistic decoration, type of ornament of wrought iron grilles and so on. However, alongside negative examples of the state of entrance spaces, there is also positive experience of their preservation and restoration.

ON THE POSSIBILITY OF INTERDISCIPLINARY ANALYSIS OF CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS THROUGH THE IDEAS AND PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMIC SCIENCE

Criminal procedural law and criminal proceedings are quite often studied in modern legal science in the context of the development of illegal practices of an economic nature. However, at present, the patterns of transformation of economic activity determine not only the specificity of objects and the objective side of illegal acts, but also allow, through economic analysis of law, to expand scientific approaches to the substantive characteristics of the criminal process and legal proceedings. Such an interdisciplinary approach is extremely rarely used in modern scientific research, which determines the relevance of the analysis undertaken. The purpose of the presented research is to identify the peculiarities of the influence of the economy on criminal procedural law and criminal proceedings. The author comes to the conclusion that economic relations currently serve as the basis not only for the functioning of the state, but also the activities of individuals and legal entities are quite often focused on certain patterns of this area. It is noted that modern man is largely reoriented to the principles of economic interaction, and therefore other processes can be perceived through the prism of economic approaches. In this context, the possibility of considering criminal proceedings at the intersection of economics and law is substantiated. Attention is focused on modern views regarding the economic model of the criminal process and legal proceedings, corresponding to modern criminal practice and the perception of the corresponding illegal functioning on the part of the individual, society and the state.

TAD border deletion at the Kit locus causes tissue-specific ectopic activation of a neighboring gene

Topologically associated domains (TADs) restrict promoter-enhancer interactions, thereby maintaining the spatiotemporal pattern of gene activity. However, rearrangements of the TADs boundaries do not always lead to significant changes in the activity pattern. Here, we investigated the consequences of the TAD boundaries deletion on the expression of developmentally important genes encoding tyrosine kinase receptors: Kit, Kdr, Pdgfra. We used genome editing in mice to delete the TADs boundaries at the Kit locus and characterized chromatin folding and gene expression in pure cultures of fibroblasts, mast cells, and melanocytes. We found that although Kit is highly active in both mast cells and melanocytes, deletion of the TAD boundary between the Kit and Kdr genes results in ectopic activation only in melanocytes. Thus, the epigenetic landscape, namely the mutual arrangement of enhancers and actively transcribing genes, is important for predicting the consequences of the TAD boundaries removal. We also found that mice without a TAD border between the Kit and Kdr genes have a phenotypic manifestation of the mutation — a lighter coloration. Thus, the data obtained shed light on the principles of interaction between the 3D chromatin organization and epigenetic marks in the regulation of gene activity.

Thermal radiation image recognition camera using target detection techniques with human computer interaction

Backgroundand Purpose: The evolution of object detection methodologies has shifted from conventional approaches to modern deep learning architectures to overcome limitations in handling object variations. The goal was to introduce YOLO, a groundbreaking architecture enabling real-time object detection, leading to the development of an AI camera using YOLO for thermal imaging object recognition. This innovation aimed to precisely identify animals, humans, and plants in thermal images while providing a user-friendly experience. MethodologyTraditional methods' limitations were highlighted, emphasizing YOLO's single-pass architecture and its integration into the AI camera system, aligning with Human-Computer Interaction principles. This AI camera system can detect object between Animals, Humans and plants. Stratified K-Fold Cross-Validation was utilized to refine the AI model, ensuring accuracy and generalization by representing object classes proportionally. ResultsEmploying Stratified K-Fold Cross-Validation achieved an overall 97.55% detection accuracy and 85.75% sensitivity, showcasing the AI model's robustness. Comparative analysis with R-CNNs revealed YOLO's 18% accuracy improvement, affirming its superiority and strategic implementation in the AI camera system. These findings validated YOLO's efficiency in thermal image object detection. ConclusionThe conclusion highlights the profound impact of YOLO, specifically within the domain of thermal image recognition, substantiating its incorporation into the AI camera system in adherence to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles. The commendable precision of YOLO, coupled with its real-time capabilities and user-centric design, has resulted in the development of an advanced thermal image object detection system, representing a notable advancement in the field of object recognition technology.

Scene Construction and Configuration Analysis of Chongqing Yangtze River National Cultural Park, China: An Empirical Study Based on Cultural Amenities

As a new type of public cultural space, the Yangtze River National Cultural Park can revitalize the rich historical and cultural heritage surrounding the river that nourished the Chinese civilization. As the main part of the park is in Chongqing, the Chongqing authorities are primarily responsible for its quality and maintenance. To understand the Chongqing Yangtze River National Cultural Park, this study analyzes the cultural amenities of 18 districts and counties in the Chongqing region of the Yangtze River Basin. The results indicate that the cultural scene of the Chongqing Yangtze River National Cultural Park can be classified into three categories: the Three Gorges Cultural Zone, the Three Gorges–Urban Cultural Transition Zone, and the Urban Cultural Zone. Further, the core elements of the cultural environment should guide the Chongqing Yangtze River National Cultural Park, clarify the functional position of each part of the park, and strengthen cooperation across districts and counties for holistic development. Finally, the construction of the park was found to be based on the principle of interaction between “human, nature, and culture” to optimize space use, solidify citizens’ cultural identity, and enhance people’s sense of well-being and accessibility.

Principles of glycan-nucleotide interactions revealed by binding affinities between glycans and single-stranded DNA molecules

Glycans are essential in the development of nano-delivery systems for nucleic acid drugs to improve biological stability and bioavailability for enhanced therapeutic efficacy. It is of genuine interests to explore the principles of interactions between glycans and nucleic acids for designing and formulation of nano-delivery systems for nucleic acids. In this study, we endeavored to explore general principles of the binding strengths between 19 glycans and nucleotides of adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine in homogeneous single-stranded DNAs (ssDNAs). Using a microbead-based fluorescence assay, we measured the binding affinities of surface-immobilized glycans interacting with ssDNA in solution. Comparative analyses of the measured distributions binding energy reveal unique interaction strength patterns assignable to each DNA nucleotide and glycan originating from the chemical structures. The obtained results also reveal that hydrogen bonds dominate the interactions between ssDNA and glycans, while electrostatic interactions, molecular weight and glycan structures also contribute to the interactions. The molecular insights of the selectivity, specificity and polymorphism in glycan-nucleotide interactions observed in this work could provide the basis for design and formulation of nano-delivery systems for nucleic acid drugs, as well as understanding the biological properties relating to glycosylation of nucleic acids.

Mass Interaction Principle as a Foundational Framework for Quantum Mechanics

This paper proposes mass interaction principle (MIP) as: the particles will be subjected to the random frictionless Brownian motion by the collision of space time particle(STP) ubiquitous in spacetime. The change in the amount of action of the particles during each collision is an integer multiple of the Planck constant h. The motion of particles under the action of STP is a Markov process. Under this principle, we infer that the statistical inertial mass of a particle is a statistical property that characterizes the difficulty of particle diffusion in spacetime. Within the framework of MIP, all the essences of quantum mechanics are derived, which proves that MIP is the origin of quantum mechanics. Due to the random collisions between STP and the matter particles, matter particles are able to behave exactly as required by the supervisor and shepherd for all microscopic behaviors of matter particles. More importantly, we solve a world class puzzle about the anomalous magnetic moment of muon in the latest experiment,and give a self-consistent explanation to the lifetime discrepancy of muon between standard model prediction and experiments at the same time. Last but not least, starting from MIP, we prove the principle of entropy increasing and clarify the physical root of entropy at absolute zero. Within the framework of MIP, we comprehensively discussed the Copenhagen interpretation. It leads to an important conclusion that Copenhagen interpretation is unnecessary for the quantum mechanical system. We found that Maxwell’s classical electromagnetic theory is applicable to the microscopic world not as previously thought. The key is that Brownian motion and classical electromagnetic theory must be combined together to completely solve the problem of electrons outside the nucleus not radiating electromagnetic waves.

Laponite/lactoferrin hydrogel loaded with eugenol for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus-infected chronic skin wound healing

Severe bacterial infections can give rise to protracted wound healing processes, thereby posing a significant risk to a patient's well-being. Consequently, the development of a versatile hydrogel dressing possessing robust bioactivity becomes imperative, as it holds the potential to expedite wound healing and yield enhanced clinical therapeutic outcomes. In this context, the present study involves the formulation of an injectable multifunctional hydrogel utilizing laponite (LAP) and lactoferrin (LF) as foundational components and loaded with eugenol (EG). This hydrogel is fabricated employing a straightforward one-pot mixing approach that leverages the principle of electrostatic interaction. The resulting LAP/LF/EG2% composite hydrogel can be conveniently injected to address irregular wound geometries effectively. Once administered, the hydrogel continually releases lactoferrin and eugenol, mitigating unwarranted oxidative stress and eradicating bacterial infections. This orchestrated action culminates in the acceleration of wound healing specifically in the context of MRSA-infected wounds. Importantly, the LAP/LF/EG2% hydrogel exhibits commendable qualities including exceptional injectability, potent antioxidant attributes, and proficient hemostatic functionality. Furthermore, the hydrogel composition notably encourages cellular migration while maintaining favorable cytocompatibility. Additionally, the hydrogel manifests noteworthy bactericidal efficacy against the formidable multidrug-resistant MRSA bacterium. Most significantly, this hydrogel formulation distinctly expedites the healing of MRSA-infected wounds by promptly inducing hemostasis, curbing bacterial proliferation, and fostering angiogenesis, collagen deposition, and re-epithelialization processes. As such, the innovative hydrogel material introduced in this investigation emerges as a promising dressing for the facilitation of bacterial-infected wound healing and consequent tissue regeneration.
