Assessing the Vaccination Status and Barriers to Influenza, Pneumococcal, and COVID-19 Vaccination Among Moroccan Patients With Chronic Inflammatory Rheumatic Disease.

To evaluate the vaccination coverage of patients with chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease (CIRD) against influenza, pneumococcus, and COVID-19 and to determine, per the patients' point of view, the possible factors related to vaccination hesitation and/or refusal. A cross-sectional study carried out by the vaccination working group of the Moroccan Society of Rheumatology, including patients with CIRD in Morocco. Information about vaccination coverage and reasons for non-vaccination against influenza, pneumococcal infection, and COVID-19 was collected. This survey included 230 patients (mean age of 46.9 +/-13.89 years; 68.7% females) affected by CIRD (rheumatoid arthritis 53%, spondyloarthritis 39.6%, psoriatic arthritis 7%). The study shows a significant lack of influenza and pneumococcal vaccination in CIRD patients, with vaccination coverage against influenza, pneumococcal infection, and COVID-19 at 2.2%, 0.4%, and 80.9%, respectively. The main reason for non-vaccination against influenza and pneumococcus was related to the absence of recommendations by their doctors (77%, 87%, p = 0.04). Additionally, the primary reason for non-vaccination against COVID-19 was the fear of the vaccine's side effects (51%, p = 0.0001), mainly a flare-up of CIRD (44%, p = 0.001). This survey shows a lack of influenza, pneumococcal, and COVID-19 vaccination in CIRD patients. The principal actions to improve vaccination should aim to educate patients and encourage rheumatologists to vaccinate their patients.

Implementasi Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Budaya Kerja di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islam Terpadu (MIIT) Roudhotul Qurro Tanjungbalai

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of school principal leadership in improving the work culture in the elementary madrasah. Improving and enhancing the work culture is important in order to increase the effectiveness and quality of learning in that environment. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by reducing the data by summarizing the main points obtained from the reports that have been prepared and then presented to see patterns of relationships between one data and another data, and in the final stage, it is concluded. The results of the research show that the principal of MIIT Roudhotul Qurro has a personal leadership approach and is actively involved in the daily activities of the madrasah. The principal's tangible actions in addressing discipline and attendance issues reflect a strong commitment to shaping a well-organized and productive madrasah environment. Daily interactions filled with values such as cooperation, integrity, and dedication form the basis for a positive and effective work culture.

This paper analyzed the meaning and content of major decisions on normative control among the Constitutional Court decisions made in 2023.
 The Constitutional Court made a constitutional decision on the provisions of the former School Violence Prevention Act, which stipulated a written apology as one of the principal's actions against the perpetrators of school violence.
 In a unanimous decision, the Constitutional Court ruled unconstitutional against the provisions of the 'Special Cases Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes', which required life imprisonment or more than 7 years of imprisonment for the crime of forced assault on a residence. The above provisions were contrary to the principle of proportionality between responsibility and punishment.
 In addition, with a 4:5 opinion, the Constitutional Court sentenced a constitutional decision on the provisions of the former Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Domestic Violence Crimes, etc., which did not stipulate the prohibition of access using mail in the victim protection order.
 In the opinion of judges 6:3, the Constitutional Court ruled that the provisions of the Immigration Control Act, which allowed the protection of those who were ordered to deport but did not establish an upper limit on the period of protection, violate the principle of excess prohibition and due process, violating the freedom of the body, and were not in accordance with the Constitution.
 The Constitutional Court recently ruled against the constitutional inconsistency with the consensus of all the judges on the former Act on Assembly and Protests, which bans rallies near the official residence of the National Assembly and punishes those who host rallies in violation of them, and the Public Official Election Act, which prohibits anyone from spraying printed materials or installing wreaths to affect the election from 180 days before the election day.

Bohr chaoticity of principal algebraic actions and Riesz product measures

Abstract For a continuous $\mathbb {N}^d$ or $\mathbb {Z}^d$ action on a compact space, we introduce the notion of Bohr chaoticity, which is an invariant of topological conjugacy and which is proved stronger than having positive entropy. We prove that all principal algebraic $\mathbb {Z}$ actions of positive entropy are Bohr chaotic. The same is proved for principal algebraic actions of $\mathbb {Z}^d$ with positive entropy under the condition of existence of summable homoclinic points.

Withdrawal model for fiber motions in the tuft disentanglement

Tuft disentanglement involves the principal actions of opening and carding, which are essential processing in textile technology. In this article, tuft disentanglement is modeled as fiber withdrawal considering the fiber interactions within the tuft. Based on the reasonable tuft model, the kinematic constraints were constructed in the disentanglement considering the carding essence and fiber interactions. Combined with the dynamic equation, the state of the fibers can be solved as a linear complementarity problem due to the complementarity in the fiber interactions. The withdrawal forces verified the simulations, which capture the qualitative features of experiments. Also, the effect of the withdrawal parameters on disentanglement was studied. The simulation results showed that the withdrawal forces increased with increasing withdrawal velocities and decreasing gauge lengths. The simulation results are consistent with the experiments. The proposed computational framework can be extended for predicting the mechanical behaviors of other random fibrous materials involving fiber interactions.

Normal forms for principal Poisson Hamiltonian spaces

We prove a normal form theorem for principal Hamiltonian actions on Poisson manifolds around the zero locus of the moment map. The local model is the generalization to Poisson geometry of the classical minimal coupling construction from symplectic geometry of Sternberg and Weinstein. Further, we show that the result implies that the quotient Poisson manifold is linearizable, and we show how to extend the normal form to other values of the moment map.

Managemen of the Headmaster in Increasing the Professionalism of the Staff at SMP Muhammadiyah Sentang

This study aims to determine the management of the principal, the professionalism of the administrative staff, the management of the principal in increasing the professionalism of the administrative personnel and the supporting and inhibiting factors for the management of the principal in increasing the professionalism of the administrative staff at SMP Muhammadiyah Sentang. This research method is qualitative research. Data collection instruments used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The informants were school principals, teachers and administrative staff. Data analysis is done through data reduction, data display and verification. From the results of the study it is known that the management of school principals in improving teacher professionalism is carried out through principal planning which is carried out through meetings at the end of the current school year to develop school programs including the division of administrative work in the new academic year. Through this meeting, deficiencies, weaknesses, difficulties, or problems that are often experienced by administrative personnel in carrying out their duties can be identified. Organizing school principals in increasing the professionalism of administrative staff at SMP Muhammadiyah Sentang is carried out by determining the duties of administrative personnel in certain fields by issuing decrees and responsibilities that must be carried out. The principal's actions increased the professionalism of administrative staff at SMP Muhammadiyah Sentang by providing rewards for administrative staff who excelled, encouraging them to be better at carrying out their duties by participating in seminars. Supervision of school principals in increasing the professionalism of administrative staff at SMP Muhammadiyah Sentang is carried out through direct monitoring of the implementation of administrative staff duties. Supervision is also carried out by looking at the schedule and attendance list of the administrative staff and carrying out supervision as seen from the results of the work reports of the administrative staff at the end of the month.

Mathematical Assessment of Machine Learning Models Used for Brain Tumor Diagnosis

The brain is an intrinsic and complicated component of human anatomy. It is a collection of connective tissues and nerve cells that regulate the principal actions of the entire body. Brain tumor cancer is a serious mortality factor and a highly intractable disease. Even though brain tumors are not considered a fundamental cause of cancer deaths worldwide, about 40% of other cancer types are metastasized to the brain and transform into brain tumors. Computer-aided devices for diagnosis through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have remained the gold standard for the diagnosis of brain tumors, but this conventional method has been greatly challenged with inefficiencies and drawbacks related to the late detection of brain tumors, high risk in biopsy procedures, and low specificity. To circumvent these underlying hurdles, machine learning models have recently been developed to enhance computer-aided diagnosis tools for advanced, precise, and automatic early detection of brain tumors. This study takes a novel approach to evaluate machine learning models (support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), gradient-boosting model (GBM), convolutional neural network (CNN), K-nearest neighbor (KNN), AlexNet, GoogLeNet, CNN VGG19, and CapsNet) used for the early detection and classification of brain tumors by deploying the multicriteria decision-making method called fuzzy preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluations (PROMETHEE), based on selected parameters, in this study: prediction accuracy, precision, specificity, recall, processing time, and sensitivity. To validate the results of our proposed approach, we performed a sensitivity analysis and cross-checking analysis with the PROMETHEE model. The CNN model, with an outranking net flow of 0.0251, is considered the most favorable model for the early detection of brain tumors. The KNN model, with a net flow of -0.0154, is the least appealing option. The findings of this study support the applicability of the proposed approach for making optimal choices regarding the selection of machine learning models. The decision maker is thus afforded the opportunity to expand the range of considerations which they must rely on in selecting the preferred models for early detection of brain tumors.

Priority actions for elevating liver health in Canada: A call to action.

Chronic liver disease (CLD) has become a silent epidemic in our country and has resulted in significant physical, psychosocial, and financial burden. Although other international liver associations have published frameworks for the principal actions required to improve liver health across health systems, Canada does not have a strategy to address the growing concerns of CLD. Thus, a multidisciplinary group of care providers involved in CLD management in Canada gathered to review the current burden of disease, gaps in management, and key opportunities for improving the identification and management of people at risk of developing progressive CLD.

Preventing and controlling nonnative species invasions to bend the curve of global freshwater biodiversity loss

The Emergency Recovery Plan for freshwater biodiversity recognizes that addressing nonnative species is one of six principal actions needed to bend the curve in freshwater biodiversity loss. This is because introduction rates of nonnative species continue to accelerate globally and where these species develop invasive populations, they can have severe impacts on freshwater biodiversity. The most effective management measure to protect freshwater biodiversity is to prevent introductions of nonnative species. Should a nonnative species be introduced, however, then its early detection and the implementation of rapid reaction measures can avoid it establishing and dispersing. If these measures are unsuccessful and the species becomes invasive, then control and containment measures can minimize its further spread and impact. Minimizing further spread and impact includes control methods to reduce invader abundance and containment methods such as screening of invaded sites and strict biosecurity to avoid the invader dispersing to neighbouring basins. These management actions have benefitted from developments in invasion risk assessment that can prioritize species according to their invasion risk and, for species already invasive, ensure that management actions are commensurate with assessed risk. The successful management of freshwater nonnative species still requires the overcoming of some implementation challenges, including nonnative species often being a symptom of degraded habitats rather than the main driver of ecological change, and eradication methods often being nonspecies specific. Given the multiple anthropogenic stressors in freshwaters, nonnative species management must work with other restoration strategies if it is to deliver the Emergency Recovery Plan for freshwater biodiversity.

Global Policy to Reduce the Incidence of Infection Spreading in Non-Vaccinated Healthcare Workers: A Literature Review.

Healthcare workers (HCWs) are at increased risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection because of their occupational exposure. Moreover, they can be a vehicle for the virus transmission among patients. The vaccination of healthcare personnel against COVID-19 is crucial in fighting the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection, together with strict sanitary procedures that aim to limit the risk of contagion. Unfortunately, even if COVID-19 vaccination has been proved one of the most effective tools for protecting against COVID-19, many healthcare professionals are not yet vaccinated. The aim of the current review is to contribute to identifying an effective strategy for COVID-19 prevention especially among non-vaccinated HCWs. In this review, we collected the most recent and relevant findings from literature on the protection of unvaccinated HCWs, identifying three types of measures as principal actions to protect those operators: addressing vaccine hesitancy, improving non-pharmaceutical interventions and promoting actions at personal level (respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene and use of PPE). All these interventions are very effective in preventing contagion, if well respected and conducted; nevertheless, it is essential to promote vaccination, as it is the most effective measure.

Right-cancellable protomodular algebras

A new protomodular analog of the classical criterion for the existence of a group term in the algebraic theory of a variety of universal algebras is given. To this end, the notion of a right-cancellable protomodular algebra is introduced. The translation group functor from the category of right-cancellable algebras of a protomodular variety to the category of groups is constructed. It is proved that the algebraic theory of a variety of universal algebras contains a group term if and only if it contains protomodular terms with respect to which all algebras from the variety are right-cancellable. Moreover, the right-cancellable algebras from the simplest protomodular varieties are characterized as sets with principal group actions as well as groups with simple additional structures.

Regulation of FGF23: Beyond Bone.

Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) is a bone- and bone marrow-derived hormone that is critical to maintain phosphate homeostasis. The principal actions of FGF23 are to reduce serum phosphate levels by decreasing kidney phosphate reabsorption and 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D synthesis. FGF23 deficiency causes hyperphosphatemia and ectopic calcifications, while FGF23 excess causes hypophosphatemia and skeletal defects. Excess FGF23 also correlates with kidney disease, where it is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Accordingly, FGF23 levels are tightly regulated, but the mechanisms remain incompletely understood. In addition to bone mineral factors, additional factors including iron, erythropoietin, inflammation, energy, and metabolism regulate FGF23. All these factors affect Fgf23 expression, while some also regulate FGF23 protein cleavage. Conversely, FGF23 may have a functional role in regulating these biologic processes. Understanding the bi-directional relationship between FGF23 and non-bone mineral factors is providing new insights into FGF23 regulation and function.

Meningkatkan Kompetensi Pedagogik Melalui Penerapan Supervisi Akademik pada Guru Sekolah Dasar di Samarinda

Although teachers must master the seven aspects of pedagogic competence, the fact is that some elementary school teachers in East Kutai Indonesia have not met expectations. This study aims to determine: the actions of principals in improving pedagogic competence through the application of academic supervision to elementary school teachers, and whether the actions of principals in implementing academic supervision can improve the pedagogic competence of elementary school teachers. The school action research design went through two cycles, involving 14 elementary school teachers as participants. Each participant was asked to fill out a consent form after being briefed on the research process and its benefits. The main instrument of the researcher himself, with the help of an observation sheet, interview guide, field notes, and a voice recorder. Results show the principal's action to improve pedagogic competence through the application of academic supervision begins with reflection, planning action, implementation, observation, and reflection, which is carried out in two cycles. The principal's actions in implementing academic supervision can improve the pedagogic competence of elementary school teachers. In the first cycle the average value of pedagogic competence only reached 66% ( 75%). Therefore, school action research needs to be cultivated in educational institutions, because it is very effective in overcoming learning problems.

This study is to describe how the principal's strategy for developing teacher professional competence at Islamic Junior High School Al- Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung, Deli Serdang Regency, is one way to develop the quality of teacher professionalism and achieve educational goals. The type of research used is a type of qualitative research with a naturalistic approach. Collecting research data obtained by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis step is to collect data, reduce the data and then conclude the data. To test the validity of the data, credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability were carried out. The findings of this study reveal three related findings: 1) Principal's strategy towards teacher professional competence development in Islamic Junior High School Al- Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung 2) The principal's actions on teacher professional competence development programs in Islamic Junior High School Al- Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung 3) Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the development of teacher professional competence in Islamic Junior High School Al- Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung. The results of this study concluded that the principal's strategy for developing teacher professional competence at Islamic Junior High School Al- Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung was carried out well and continued to improve to achieve better goals in the future

Participation of Third Parties not Making Independent Claims Regarding the Subject Matter of the Dispute in Civil Proceedings in the Light of Procedural Economy

The author explores the issue of participation of third parties not making independent claims regarding the subject matter of the dispute in the context of achieving procedural efficiency in civil proceedings. It is noted that the current rules of civil and arbitration procedural legislation concerning third parties that do not make independent claims regarding the subject matter of the dispute are imperfect and, on the one hand, they have some potential to ensure the true implementation of the principle of procedural economy, and, on the other hand, to enhance the effectiveness of civil proceedings and the scope of safeguards applied to secure judicial protection. Joint consideration and resolution of principal and recourse claims may be treated as a key and promising technique in this regard. The author, using various methodological techniques, conducts a critical analysis of the domestic doctrine and legislation of pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern periods, and examines foreign experience on the subject at hand. The paper substantiates the conclusion about the possibility and expediency of joint consideration and resolution of the principal and recourse claims. It proposes to apply a mechanism for considering such claims jointly with due regard to the balance of interests of persons involved in the case. It is also noted that in a number of cases it is expedient to consider the principal and recourse claims in separate court proceedings. Summing up, the author expresses the opinion that the expansion of the judicial activity of the judicial activity should be permissible not only in the case of approval by the court of the settlement agreement, but also when the judicial activity results in making a court decision. In conclusion, it is noted that the mechanism of joint consideration and resolution of principal and recourse actions proposed by the author does not infringe the safeguards of civil procedural form and allows us to eliminate “defeat in rights” for the principal respondent (regredient).
