ENHANCING THE ROLE OF BINA KELUARGA BALITA (BKB) CADRES IN ACCELERATING STUNTING REDUCTION IN NAGARI TARATAK BARU, TANJUNG GADANG DISTRICT, SIJUNJUNG REGENCY

Bina Keluarga Balita cadres are one of the components that have an active role with parents in providing optimization of growth and development since 1000 first days of life through continuous parenting activities. The study was conducted to describe the increasing role of cadres in the Prevention of stunting in order to measure success, identify obstacles, more efficient allocation of resources, and improve the program Bina Keluarga Balita. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. Taking data from Bina Keluarga Balita activities in Nagari Taratak Baru, Tanjung Gadang District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra province. The results showed that: 1) the role of Bina Keluarga Balita cadres in Accelerating of Reduction and Prevention of Stunting is through community mobilization, counseling and monitoring; (2) the efforts made by cadres in improving the knowledge of parents in Reduction and Prevention of Stunting namely through Bina Keluarga Balita materials, toddler mother classes, stimulation and facilitation of child growth and development; (3). Obstacles faced by cadres in the Prevention of stunting are cadre capacity, Bina Keluarga Balita facilities and infrastructure, and operational activities.

Longitudinal transitions of the double burden of overweight and stunting from childhood to early adulthood in India, Peru, and Vietnam.

Examining trajectories of undernutrition and overnutrition separately limits understanding of the double burden of malnutrition. We investigated transitions between normal, stunting, overweight and concurrent stunting and overweight (CSO) and associations with sociodemographic factors in children and adolescents. We used data from the Young Lives cohort in India, Peru and Vietnam, which follow children 1-15 (N = 5413) and 8-22 years (N = 2225) over five rounds between 2002 and 2016. We estimated transitions between nutritional states using a Markov chain model and estimated sociodemographic associations employing a logit parametrization. Transitions into stunting peaked in ages 1-5 years (India: 22.9%, Peru: 17.6%, Vietnam: 14.8%), while stunting reversal was highest during adolescence across all countries. Transitions into overweight peaked in ages 19-22, while overweight reversal increased in ages 1-5 and 12-15 years. Transitions away from stunting to overweight were rare; more commonly, stunted individuals developed overweight while remaining stunted, leading to a CSO state. In Peru, 20.2% of 19-year-olds who were stunted reached CSO by age 22, with 4% shifting from stunted to overweight. Reversion to a normal state is least likely for those in a CSO state. Household wealth gradually reduced the likelihood of transitioning into stunting [odds ratios (ORs) for wealthiest quartile in Peru: 0.29, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.20-0.41; India: 0.43, 95% CI 0.32-0.57; Vietnam: 0.36, 95% CI 0.26-0.50), with stunting reversal only being more likely in the two wealthiest quartiles across all countries (ORs for wealthiest quartile in Peru: 2.39, 95% CI 1.57-3.65; India: 1.28, 95% CI 1.05-1.54; Vietnam: 1.89, 95% CI 1.23-2.91). In Vietnam, only the richest quartile was at higher risk of transitioning into overweight (OR 1.87, 95% CI 1.28-2.72), while in Peru and India, the risk gradually rose across all wealth quartiles (ORs for wealthiest quartile in Peru: 2.84, 95% CI 2.14-3.77; India: 2.99, 95% CI 1.61-5.54). Childhood and adolescence represent critical periods for prevention and reversal of stunting and overweight, thereby averting the development of CSO later in life. Context-specific interventions are crucial for preventing disparate transitions towards the double burden of malnutrition across socioeconomic groups.

Prevention of Stunting in Children and Pregnant Women Through 4 Healthy 5 Perfect Nutritious Food in Pansor Village

In Indonesia, one of the health problems that frequently arises is stunting. Currently, Indonesia is ranked 5th in the incidence of stunting in babies in the world. In Indonesia, stunting is called stunting, meaning there are obstacles to physical development and brain development in children. The prevalence of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) was 24.6%, decreasing to 8.1% compared to information from the Indonesian nutritional status survey (SSGI), where one of the villages, Pansor Village, had 39 standing babies, the aim of carrying out this research activity was To avoid the number of incidents in babies in Pansor village, the approach taken is to provide outreach activities about stunting and its consequences, explaining the dangers of stunting to children to the community, especially mothers with two bodies. Explaining the consumption of nutritious food through demonstration activities for making bonus meals, methods for implementing clean and healthy living behavior through hand washing activities to cadre mothers and mothers of two in the RT. Indeed, 75% of cadre mothers and women with two bodies in Pansor village have undertaken socialization regarding stunting, the result of dedication to the community is that the women of cadres and mothers with two bodies are able to master the movement of washing their hands and making additional food.

PEMBUATAN PUDING BERBAHAN DASAR DAUN KELOR SEBAGAI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN STUNTING DI DESA SINDANGMULYA

Malnutrition in children can cause delays in growth and development of the brain, bones, and emotional problems. This service program aims to provide understanding to the community, especially prospective parents, about stunting and the benefits of moringa Puding. Moringa leaf Puding has important benefits in preventing stunting, especially because of the very complete nutritional content of moringa leaves. Moringa leaves are rich in protein, vitamins A, C, E, calcium, and iron, all of which play an important role in supporting children's growth and development. The protein and calcium in moringa help in the formation of healthy bones and muscles, while iron plays a role in preventing anemia that can hinder growth. Vitamins A and C support the immune system, which is important for keeping children healthy and preventing infections that can hinder growth. The activity was conducted in two stages, starting with providing information on stunting and child nutrition. The next stage involved a demonstration of making moringa Puding. The results of this program were adequate knowledge about the types of nutritional intake that are good for children as a prevention of stunting and the community was able to make nutritious Puding made from moringa leaves.

Stunting Prevention in the Preconception Period

Background: The stunting rate in Indonesia in 2022 was 21.6%. I was reduced when compared to the SSGI data in 2021 of 24.4%. The stunting rate appears to be decreasing from year to year, but a joint commitment is still needed to achieve the target of reducing stunting to 14% by 2024. Stunting prevention is a much more effective step than stunting treatment itself. Prevention of stunting can be done by optimizing the role of mothers in the golden phase of child development. stunting prevention in Indonesia still focuses on pregnancy and toddlers, while prevention during the preconception period is still limited.Purpose:To synthesize and critically effective steps that can be taken to prevent stunting in the preconception periodMethods:The research method employed was a literature review, conducted by using primary studies from PubMed, google scholar, and ScienceDirect with the keywords “stunting; prevention; praconception” published between 2017-2023, in English, open access, and relevant to the topicResults:A total of 397 research articles were screened for eligibility, and 15 articles met the inclusion criteria. Based on the 15reviewed articles, devide into three themes: Nutritional status during preconception, Supplementation during preconception and Lifestyle during preconceptionConclusion: This review found that there are several efforts made in preventing stunting in the preconception period. it is recommended that health workers can optimize the prevention of stunting in the preconception period.

Development of Local Wisdom in Preventing Stunting in Village Communities

Background: Child stunting refers to a child who is too short for his or her age and is the result of chronic or recurrent malnutrition, based on the height-for-age index (HAZ). The results of weighing and measurements at the Posyandu, or community health post, show an increase in the prevalence of stunting from 7% in 2019 to 10.41% in 2020. A preliminary survey at the Ceper Community Health Centre in Klaten Regency showed that out of 1,922 children under five, 187 were stunted. Local wisdom is considered highly valuable and has its own benefits for the lives of the community. Thanks to local wisdom, they can sustain their lives and even develop sustainably. The role of midwives in developing local wisdom for stunting prevention is crucial, as they are the frontline health workers in the prevention of stunting. Methods: The research design is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. Data analysis was conducted using regression. The research sample was taken using cluster random sampling techniques involving 60 respondents. Results: The data analysis results showed a relationship between the role of educators and motivators in the intervention of developing local wisdom for stunting prevention. Conclusion: The role of village midwives in providing information, encouragement, facilities, and empowering health cadres is crucial in developing local wisdom for stunting prevention.

Strategi Penanggulangan Stunting Melalui Peningkatan Pengetahuan Pasangan Usia Subur Tentang Bahaya Stunting di Desa Oringbele Kecamatan Witihama Kabupaten Flores Timur

One of the primary causes of stunting is the lack of public knowledge and awareness about stunting prevention, particularly among couples of childbearing age who play a crucial role in preventing stunting. Adequate knowledge about healthy eating patterns, exclusive breastfeeding, the importance of pregnancy control, and child immunization is still lacking among this group. This community service activity aims to: (1) Increase the knowledge and awareness of couples of childbearing age about stunting prevention in Oringbele Village; (2) Encourage the application of healthy behaviors during pregnancy preparation and childcare; and (3) Support government efforts to reduce stunting rates in Indonesia. The service activities utilized counseling and lecture methods, supported by PowerPoint slides and leaflets that provided explanations on the definition, causes, negative impacts, risk factors, and prevention strategies of stunting. The results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge of couples of childbearing age across all dimensions of the questionnaire, including the definition, symptoms, causes, dangers, and prevention of stunting. Thus, it can be concluded that the stunting prevention counseling activities in Oringbele Village were successful, as evidenced by the increased awareness and healthy behaviors among the participants, contributing to the reduction of stunting incidents from the outset.

Effect of giving premix cookies with mung beans and anchovy (Stolephorus) for stunting prevention on toddlers in Telaga Sari Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency

Stunting is when a child's body length or height is less than their age. Several factors cause stunting, including energy and nutritional intake, and babies born with low birth weight (LBW). Apart from being found in milk, sources of protein and calcium can also be found in various other foods, both animal and vegetable. One source of protein and calcium is green beans and anchovies. This research was conducted in Telaga Sari Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. This research aims to determine how giving premix cookies mung bean and anchovy prevents toddler stunting. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pretest–post-test research design. The sample in this study was 60 toddlers, with 30 intervention groups and 30 control groups. Where before and after the treatment, body height was measured. Analysis was carried out in the research using the t-test with a confidence level of 95%. The results of the study showed that the mean TB/U before giving premix cookies mung bean and anchovy in the intervention group was -0.99 ± 2.332, and after giving the results showed it was -0.02 ± 1.562, while the control group had a TB / U of -0 .05±1.785. Conclusion: The results of the dependent t-test obtained p=0.001 (p≤0.05), which means that there is a significant effect before and after giving premix cookies mung bean and anchovy on the prevention of stunting in toddlers with a difference in the average TB/U of toddlers of -0.97.

Implementasi Edukasi Smart Parenting dan Pemberian Makan Tambahan Plus Sebagai Intervensi Pencegahan Stunting

The stunting is a condition of growth failure experienced by children, especially at the age of under 6 years. Failure to thrive means there is disorientation in physical growth that is disproportionate between age and height. Whereas developmental failure is more related to failure in mental function, namely cognitive, psychomotor and affective dimensions. The research design used was a cross-sectional study. Namely an observational study that analyzes variable data collected at a certain point in time across a predetermined sample population or subset. This research was conducted in the working area of Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency in January-December 2022 where this area is one of the areas with stunting that is almost evenly distributed in every village. The population in this study were all toddlers in the working area of Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency, consisting of 19 villages. The results of the study, namely that during a span of approximately one year a sensitive intervention program on the prevention and handling of stunting was carried out in the Krembung Subdistrict working area showed that out of 3275 toddlers measured, there were 4.90% or around 151 toddlers stunting, namely where 1.70% toddlers 'very short' and 2.80% 'short' and 0.40 are categorized as BGM (Below the Red Line).

Gerakan Pencegahan Stunting Melalui Sosialiasi Bersama Pemuda IPNU DAN IPPNU Desa Tengki Kecamatan Brebes Kabupaten Brebes

<p align="center">Abstract</p><p><br /> Stunting is a condition where growth failure in children occurs due to chronic malnutrition over a long period of time, thus hampering growth and development. In this research we used an observation method where we went directly into the field with health workers to see what conditions were in the community of Tengki Village, Brebes. . The population and sample in this research were all Tengki residents. Efforts to prevent stunting that can be made are by providing adequate nutritional intake from the fertilization of the egg until the child is 2 years old,providing exclusive breast milk until the baby is 6 months old, and ensuring that the child receives complete immunization. The conclusion of this research is the prevention of stunting in the Tengki Village area, Kab. Brebes can be done through the observation and socialization stages. This activity started with observations carried out by all members of KKNT group 6 of Tengki Village, Brebes Regency, counseling activities regarding stunting prevention were attended by 50% of Tengki Village teenagers and education on the provision of additional food was provided by 80% of the Tengki Village community.</p><p>Key words: stunting, KKN-T, prevention.</p>

Healthy Environment As A Human Right: Law Enforcement To Overcome Stunting In Children

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that has an impact on children’s health and the country’s economy. The government has tried to reduce stunting as a mandate of the constitution, but Indonesia is still among the third countries with the highest prevalence of stunting in the world. This study aims to analyze the views of human rights for children with stunting and formulate efforts to uphold human rights against the problem of stunting. The type of research used is normative legal research. The legal materials collected was analyzed qualitatively by explaining the existing theories logically, systematically to get significant and scientific results. The results of the study showed that the high prevalence of stunting as evidence of government failure in law enforcement against the problem of malnutrition. Ignoring children’srightsis a form of human rights violations committed by the state. Another factor that has an influence on stunting is the environment, where if the environment where the child lives does not implement healthy living behavior, then automatically the child's health condition will be disturbed, including nutritional problems and stunting. Need to regulate the law related to stunting as a manifestation of state responsibility in upholding children’s rights. Prevention and handling of stunting is carried out holistically in various sectors with commitment and synergy between the central/regional government, parents, family and community.

The Effectiveness of Pocket Book in Increasing Knowledge and Attitude among Mothers as an Effort to Prevent Stunting in the Working Are of Pakem Health Center, Sleman (Study of Mothers with Babies Aged 0-23 Months)

Introduction: Stunting is a growth disorder caused by poor nutrition, repeated infections, and lack of psychosocial encouragement resulting in less than ideal height. According to WHO (2022), Indonesia is the country in South-East Asia with the highest prevalence of 31.0%. The highest stunting cases in Sleman Regency in 2022 were in the Pakem Community Health Center working area at 25.5% per 1000 children under five. Mothers' knowledge and attitudes influence the prevention of stunting, but Pakem Community Health Center has never measured these two things. Health promotion media for preventing stunting by Community Health Centers is still limited in the form of leaflets which only contain material about nutrition for children aged 0 - 24 months, while the pocket book in this study contains nutrition for babies, breastfeeding mothers, and pregnant women. Objective: This research is to determine the effect of pocket book media on increasing mothers' knowledge and attitudes to prevent stunting in the Pakem Sleman Health Center working area. Method: Quasi Experiment research design employed a one group pretest-posttest design with a post-test interval of 7 days from the end of the intervention. The sample consisted of 98 mothers who had children obtained by cluster sampling. The tools used were a pocket book with the title "Healthy Indonesia Free of Stunting" and a questionnaire. Results: There was an increase in the average knowledge and attitudes of mothers after being given intervention with pocket book media, namely the average knowledge from 12.95 to 14.01; and the average attitude from 92.24 to 95.88, as well as the number of mothers who experienced an increase in knowledge, namely 51 mothers to 55 mothers and attitudes, namely 67 mothers to 71 mothers. The Wilcoxon test results obtained sig. <0.001 on mother's knowledge and attitudes. Conclusion: The pocket book media is effective in increasing mothers' knowledge and attitude.

Identification of Bioactive Compounds from Pedada Fruit Extract (Sonneratia Caseolaris) to Prevent Stunting

Stunting is a problem that still cannot be resolved throughout the world, especially in Indonesia. Children who are malnourished show high levels of blood oxidative stress biomarkers as well as inhibition in growth. To understand prevention of stunting, research was conducted using pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris) which is a mangrove plant taken at the Wonorejo Magrove Ecotourism, Rungkut District, Surabaya City, East Java. The results of the research were used to reveal that there are bioactive compounds in pedada fruit extract to prevent stunting. This research used One Shot Experimental Study. The variables studied used primary data from screening of phenolic and flavonoid antioxidant metabolite compounds at the FK UHT Pharmacy Laboratory and screening for Cu, Fe, Zn mineral content at the UPT East Java Nutrition Laboratory. Result: Based on the results of qualitative phytochemical screening, pedada fruit contained phytochemical compounds, namely phenolics and flavonoids. Mineral screening of pedada fruit was carried out using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) method. Pedada fruit extract contained zinc (Zn) of 1.057 mg, while copper (Cu) and iron (Fe) of 0 mg.

Konsumsi Jagung Manis Sebagai Sumber Pangan Alternatif Syarat Gizi Pencegah Stunting Pada Balita di Desa Kampung Jawa Blangkejeren Gayo Lues

One of the consequences of poor nutritional management in toddlers is stunting. One nutritious alternative food to prevent stunting at a relatively cheaper price is sweet corn. Sweet corn is increasingly popular and widely consumed because it has a sweeter taste than regular corn (Kartika, 2019). Siswono (2004 in Surtinah, 2013) reported that the sugar content of the master sweet variety is 16 – 18%, close to the sugar content of cane, namely 19%. Sweet corn contains 96 cal Energy, 3.5 g Protein, 1.0 g Fat, 22.8 g Carbohydrates, 3.0 mg Calcium, 111 mg Phosphorus, 0.7 mg Iron, Vitamin A 400 SI, Vitamin B 0, 15 mg, Vitamin C 12.0 mg, and water 72.7 g Iskandar, 2006). This service activity was carried out at the Kampung Jawa Village Hall, Blangkejeren District, Gayo Lues Regency. The parties involved in this activity were lecturers from the Agrotechnology and Forestry study program, PSDKU Gayo Lues, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University as resource persons, as well as the Agrotechnology and Animal Husbandry study program, Faculty of Agriculture, Gunung Leuser University, Aceh Kutacane, village midwives as partners, village heads as facilitators and the village community. Javanese Village as a participant. Survey of activity locations, socialization of service activities, implementation of service activities, evaluation of service activities. The conclusions from this activity are: 1. Regarding the causes, characteristics, dangers and prevention of stunting by related parties, this is one of the first steps in efforts to improve the nutrition of pregnant women and toddlers in the Kampung Jawa Village community. 2. Sweet corn is an alternative food source that can be consumed by pregnant women and toddlers to prevent stunting. 3. This activity attracts the attention of mothers participating in socialization and Posyandu in Kampung Jawa Village and can increase their knowledge about preventing and handling stunting.

STUNTING: EARLY DETECTION WITH ANTHROPOMETRIC MEASUREMENTS AND MANAGEMENT

Stunting is a condition of short stature in which the length or height of the body is not appropriate for the age when compared to the growth curve. Stunting is also known as a condition of failed growth in children (body and brain growth) caused by long-term malnutrition related to low socioeconomic status, poor maternal nutrition and health, history of recurrent illness, and inappropriate infant and child feeding practices. One way to detect initial stunting is through anthropometric measurements. Early detection prevents stunting with periodic measurements of weight and height according to age, which can help prevent and manage stunting. This research method is a literature review. Literature searches use online databases such as Google Scholar, including PubMed, DOAJ, and GARUDA, for articles published in the last ten years. Keywords related to the theme are applied during the article search process. A total of 14 articles or journals were selected as study materials. The results of the literature review explain the epidemiology, aetiology, risk factors, anthropometric measurements, and prevention of stunting in children. In conclusion, early detection through anthropometric measurements can prevent stunting and ensure more optimal management.

Upaya pencegahan stunting melalui program penyuluhan pada wanita usia produktif di Dusun Guntur

Efforts to prevent stunting through education programs for women of productive age are essential because there are still many cases of children affected by stunting. Prevention of stunting in Guntur hamlet, Rejosari village, Bandongan sub-district, Magelang Regency is also needed. Because stunting is a public health problem that has a long-term impact on children's growth and development, it is necessary to carry out education or counseling regarding healthy lifestyles in the community to increase knowledge and practice of healthy nutrition, good eating patterns, and health care for pregnant women and children under five. The outreach methods include educational sessions, healthy nutritional practices demonstrations, and informative materials distribution. The outreach activities received a good response from the community, and the results showed a change in understanding patterns regarding food choices, monitoring children's snacks, and concern about safe doses of MSG.

Hubungan Antara Pencegahan Stunting dan Pemahaman Fiqih Parenting

Stunting is the impaired growth and development of children due to long-term malnutrition. Stunting can be caused by malnutrition experienced by the mother during pregnancy, or the child during their growth period. Stunting is a condition when children experience physical and cognitive growth delays, which can have a negative impact on their health and future. In the Islamic view, the prevention of stunting is an important task that Muslim societies should take on, in line with Allah's command not to be a weak people. Islam teaches to take good care of children and pay special attention to their growth and development. The relationship between stunting prevention and parenting in Islamic fiqh is an important aspect in ensuring the health and well-being of children, especially in the early years of life. Stunting, defined as a condition of stunted growth and development due to malnutrition, is a globally significant public health problem. Parenting in fiqh based on Islamic principles emphasizes the importance of proper nutrition and care of children to prevent stunting. The type of research used in this journal is quantitative research where this research is based on the philosophy of positivism, which is a philosophical teaching that views reality, symptoms, phenomena as classifiable, relatively fixed, concrete, observable, measurable, and relationships. This research was conducted in Tanjung Seneng sub-district, Kec. South Kotabumi, North Lampung Regency, Lampung, with a population of 85% and a sample size of 70%. Data collection was carried out by filling out the Millennial Parenting Style questionnaire and the Early Detection questionnaire in preventing stunting in toddlers.

Implementation of Stunting Prevention Program in Indonesia: Literature Review

Introduction: The health problem of stunting is still a crucial problem in various regions of the world. The reduction of stunting is one of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target where in 2030 the expected target is 89 million people, but in fact, there is no maximum progress in achieving the World Health Assembly (WHA) global nutrition target in 2025. Various studies have been conducted out there that provide comprehensive facts related to various kinds of programs or methods in reducing the prevalence of stunting that can be taken into consideration by the government in making new policies related to stunting prevention. Objective: This study aims to identify the various implementations of stunting prevention interventions in Indonesia. Method: The research method uses a scoping review with the PRISMA approach. Literature research through three databases, namely PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus. The inclusion criteria for this study were articles published from 2017 to 2023, articles that had free access and full text, research locations in Indonesia, and not systematic review and/or meta-analysis articles. Result: The search results obtained 13 final articles that discuss variations in interventions in stunting prevention. The results of the review of 13 articles found that effective prevention of stunting can be done by various methods, such as providing education, counseling, therapeutic group therapy, practical demonstrations, and home visits through professional collaboration between health workers and health cadres to pregnant women and mothers with children less than five years old, as well as premarital education classes for prospective couples. Conclusion: Implementation of effective stunting prevention interventions should be multisectoral and include family planning, premarital couples, and women with early pregnancies as the main target focus for stunting prevention.

Community Empowerment in Widodaren Village by Creating a Nutrition Garden as an Effort to Prevent Stunting

The stunting rate is increasing every year in Indonesia. The impact caused by stunting in the medium term is in the form of low intelligence and cognitive abilities, and risk. The long term is the quality of human resources and the problem of degenerative diseases in adulthood. Prevention of stunting can be done one of them by implementing specific nutrition programs with food security indicators through the development of local food based on nutrition gardens. This research method uses descriptive qualitative method. The activity begins by looking at the knowledge of Family Welfare Development (PKK) and Integrated Sevices Post (Posyandu) cadres related to the basic skills of Health Integrated Sevices Post cadres. Statistical test results showed a significant difference of 0.000 between the mean before and after the material exposure of 25 basic skills of Posyandu cadres in PKK and Posyandu cadres in Widodaren Village. This activity involved PKK women and Posyandu cadres with the implementation of a nutrition garden using aquaponic technology, a technology that combines fish and vegetable cultivation in one cultivation period. The next activity is processing the results of the nutrition garden in the form of vegetables and catfish into nutrient-dense foods such as processed nuggets and dim sum. Local food-based nutritional gardens can be an effort to prevent stunting.

Konsumsi Jagung Manis Sebagai Sumber Pangan Alternatif Syarat Gizi Pencegah Stunting Pada Balita Di Desa Kampung Jawa Blangkejeren Gayo Lues

One of the consequences of poor nutritional management in toddlers is stunting. One nutritious alternative food to prevent stunting at a relatively cheaper price is sweet corn. Sweet corn is increasingly popular and widely consumed because it has a sweeter taste than regular corn (Kartika, 2019). Siswono (2004 in Surtinah, 2013) reported that the sugar content of the master sweet variety is 16 – 18%, close to the sugar content of cane, namely 19%. Sweet corn contains 96 cal Energy, 3.5 g Protein, 1.0 g Fat, 22.8 g Carbohydrates, 3.0 mg Calcium, 111 mg Phosphorus, 0.7 mg Iron, Vitamin A 400 SI, Vitamin B 0, 15 mg, Vitamin C 12.0 mg, and water 72.7 g Iskandar, 2006). This service activity was carried out at the Kampung Jawa Village Hall, Blangkejeren District, Gayo Lues Regency. The parties involved in this activity were lecturers from the Agrotechnology and Forestry study program, PSDKU Gayo Lues, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University as resource persons, as well as the Agrotechnology and Animal Husbandry study program, Faculty of Agriculture, Gunung Leuser University, Aceh Kutacane, village midwives as partners, village heads as facilitators and the village community. Javanese Village as a participant. Survey of activity locations, socialization of service activities, implementation of service activities, evaluation of service activities. The conclusions from this activity are: 1. Regarding the causes, characteristics, dangers and prevention of stunting by related parties, this is one of the first steps in efforts to improve the nutrition of pregnant women and toddlers in the Kampung Jawa Village community. 2. Sweet corn is an alternative food source that can be consumed by pregnant women and toddlers to prevent stunting. 3. This activity attracts the attention of mothers participating in socialization and Posyandu in Kampung Jawa Village and can increase their knowledge about preventing and handling stunting.
