Thin layer chromatography in the study of natural waxes and their constituents

The adsorption thin layer chromatography of waxes and 15 classes of reported wax constituent has been studied in detail. The choice of suitable adsorbents, solvent systems and general and specific methods of detection is discussed. A procedure for the isolation of mg fraction from intact waxes by preparative layer chromatography is described.
