The Effect of Flashcard Education on Premarital Sexual Behavior in Adolescent

Background: Adolescent who experience puberty in their bodies appear sex hormones that begin to work, resulting in a sense of attraction to the opposite sex. Premarital sex is a behavior that is carried out based on sexual desire in adolescents. Adolescent knowledge and sources of information received by adolescents are important points in efforts to prevent premarital sexual behavior. The preventive efforts can be done by providing education about the right information through various methods and media. One of them is education using flashcard media. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of education on premarital sexual behavior using flashcard media. Methods: This study design was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post test design with control group. The number of samples were 60 which were divided into two groups and the inclusion criteria being adolescents aged 15-17 years and were or had been dating. The intervention group received treatment in the form of pre-marital sexual behavior education with flashcard media. The control group received pre-marital sexual behavior education using the lecture method. Before and after the intervention, researchers conducted a pretest and posttest using a pre-marital sexual behavior questionnaire and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: There was a difference in the average score of premarital sexual behavior in the intervention group after receiving flashcard education intervention with p value = 0.010 (p <0.05). Conclusion: Education using flashcard affects premarital sexual behavior in adolescents. Preventive and promotive efforts of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents using flashcard media are an alternative for nurses in providing counseling.

The Correlation Between Parent Communication and Knowledge Regarding Sexual Behavior in Adolescents

Premarital sexual behavior in adolescents tends to increase. This is caused by several factors, one of which is low knowledge about sexual behavior. Knowledge in adolescents is one of the duties of parents. Therefore, communication between parents and adolescents is important. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental communication and knowledge about sexual behavior in adolescents. The research method used is a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study is adolescents aged 12-15 years living at home with their parents. The number of samples was 114 The research instrument used a knowledge questionnaire and FARBCS. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with bivariate analysis using the Spearman rank test. The results showed that 51.8% of the 114 respondents had adequate knowledge and 88.6% of respondents had open communication. The results of the correlation test showed a p-value of 0.884. The conclusion from this study is that there is no relationship between parental communication and knowledge about sexual behavior in adolescents. It is hoped that future researchers will examine the factors that influence knowledge about sexual behavior.

The vulnerable nature of this age group is underscored, considering the risks of unsafe abortions, unintended pregnancies, and sexually transmitted diseases. Objective: The primary objective is to offer a comprehensive understanding of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents. By synthesizing recent developments and key findings, this review aims to inform specialists and non-specialists, foster societal dialogue, and serve as a resource for scholars and practitioners interested in adolescent sexual health. Methods: Utilizing PubMed and Google Scholar, an extensive literature search spanning 2018 to 2023 focused on keywords such as “adolescent AND sex” The inclusion criteria involved articles directly aligned with the review’s scope, leading to the identification of 20 relevant articles. Results: Factors influencing adolescent sexual behavior, and the impact of cultural, religious, and societal norms were explored. The importance of sex education, particularly comprehensive sexuality education, in addressing premarital sexual behavior emerged as a critical theme. The impact on adolescent health, both physical and mental, was also highlighted. Conclusions: Premarital sexual behavior among adolescents is a complex issue influenced by various internal and external factors. Comprehensive sexuality education, incorporating cultural and religious teachings, is crucial in promoting healthy decision-making and preventing negative consequences. The review emphasizes the need for ongoing discussions, further research, and improved sexual health education globally.

The relationship between attitudes and porn viewing activities with pre-marital sexual behavior in adolescents

Introduction: The widespread availability of the internet, coupled with adolescents' natural curiosity about sexuality, has created avenues for accessing pornographic websites. However, this curiosity, when not tempered with self-restraint, can lead adolescents into the habit of watching pornographic films. One significant consequence of engaging in this behavior is its potential to influence pre-marital sexual activity among adolescents. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between attitudes toward and the frequency of watching pornographic movies and pre-marital sexual behavior among adolescents in Sidoarjo.Methods: The study employed a descriptive analytics approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 138 adolescents was selected using probability sampling, specifically the cluster simple random sampling method. Two research instruments were utilized: the Cyber Pornography Use Inventory (CPUI) for gathering data on porn-watching activity and the Adolescent Sexual Activity Index (ASAI) for collecting information on sexual behavior. The data were then analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation method.Results: The findings indicated that the majority of students in Sidoarjo exhibited a non-supportive attitude category (48.6%, n= 67), with low engagement in watching porn movies (44.2%, n= 61), and most teenagers demonstrated low/less risky sexual behavior (63%, n= 87). Moreover, the results revealed significant relationships between attitudes and sexual behavior (P-value <0.001) as well as between watching porn and sexual behavior (P-value <0.001).Conclusions: This research suggests the importance of parental and teacher involvement in guiding and supervising adolescents to prevent engagement in risky behaviors such as watching pornography and engaging in pre-marital sexual activity. By actively monitoring their children and providing guidance, parents and teachers can play a crucial role in minimizing such behaviors and promoting adolescent reproductive health through counseling and education. Research results show that No there is the relationship between value culture and style of life (p=.528), support family and social (p=.976), religiosityand philosophy (.358) technology (p=.002), knowledge (.464), and attitude (.629).

Adolescence is a period of searching for identity and any information, including pornography. Data states that premarital sexual behavior starts from adolescence in middle and high school. This happens, among other things, due to peers and parenting patterns. Parenting patterns and lack of discipline are associated with increased risky sexual behavior. analyzing parental parenting patterns and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents. The research design used was a Systematic Review. Journal search via Google Scholar, Researchgate, ScienceDirect databases. The inclusion criteria were determined, namely a maximum publication time span of 5 years (2017-2023), non-experimental correlation descriptive study with cross sectional, the languages used are Indonesian and English, original type of research article, full text. The results of a review of 10 articles that have been reviewed state that parenting patterns, peers & acceptance of information influence premarital sexual behavior of teenagers. Based on the results of a review of 10 journals, it is stated that teenagers with democratic parenting patterns have good sexual behavior or are not at risk and there are 7 journals stating that there are There is a significant relationship between parental parenting patterns and premarital sexual behavior among teenagers and there are 3 journals which state that premarital sexual behavior among teenagers is influenced by peers and receipt of information.

Meta-Analysis: Factors Related with Premarital Sexual Behavior in Adolescents

Background: Premarital sexual behavior is a sexual activity carried out before marriage. Premarital sexual behavior is a health priority in adolescents because it causes unwanted pregnancies, abortions, STIs, HIV/AIDS and even death. Parents, peers, community environment, economic and cultural conditions influence premarital sexual behavior. This study aims to analyze the effect of peers, smoking behavior, alcohol consumption, exposure to pornography and rural areas on premarital sexual behavior in adolescents. Subjects and Method: This was a systematic review and meta-analysis of study articles. Data obtained from databases including Google Schoolar, Pubmed and Science Direct. Article search was carried out by considering eligibility criteria with the PICO model. Population: adolescents. Intervention: high peer pressure, smoking behavior, alcohol consumption, exposure to pornography, and rural areas. Comparation: low peer pressure, non-smoking, no alcohol consumption, no exposure to pornography, and urban areas. Outcome: premarital sexual behavior. The articles were collected with keywords including "Peer Pressure" AND "Smoking" AND "Alcohol Compsumtion" AND "Pornography Exposure" AND "Rural" OR "Premarital Sexual Behavior" AND "Cross Sectional Study". Study articles were collected with PRISMA flow diagrams and analyzed using Review Manager 5.3 application. Results: The results of the meta-analysis indicated that adolescents were influenced by premarital sexual behavior in the presence of high peer pressure (aOR= 3.57; CI95%= 1.38 to 9.26; p<0.001), smoking behavior (aOR= 1.17; CI95%= 0.63 to 2.16; p<0.001), alcohol consumption (aOR=2.11; CI95%=1.34 to 3.33; p<0.001), and exposure to pornography (aOR= 2.43; CI95%= 1.44 to 4.09; p<0.001). Conclusion: Adolescent premarital sexual behavior increases with high peer pressure, smoking, alcohol consumption, and exposure to pornography. Pengembangan Model Edukasi Telehealth terhadap Pencegahan Perilaku Seksual Pranikah pada Remaja: Literatur Review

Pre-marital sexual behavior in adolescents can influence developmental tasks and increase risky behaviors such as unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Social media, gadget influence, and inappropriate peer selection play a role in these occurrences. Peer education models through counselling centers in schools are crucial in providing insights and experiences for better and healthier behavior. Telehealth models serve as an educational method that can reduce pre-marital sexual behavior by providing information on reproductive health and preventing pre-marital sexual behavior. The research method used was a comprehensive literature review. A total of 11 articles meeting inclusion criteria were found, utilizing educational media through m-health, WhatsApp groups, videos, and leaflets. Data gathered included insights into sexual diseases, positive attitudes towards change, adolescent knowledge and interests, education level, gender, self-efficacy, general health status, socioeconomic status, living conditions, healthcare facilities, and marital status. Clinical practice implications through peer education can enhance adolescent knowledge, thus potentially reducing premarital sexual relationships and unwanted pregnancies among adolescents. Based on the literature study, the telehealth education model can be further developed using other theoretical models to make its implementation more comprehensive.

The Analysis Of Parenting Style Towards Adolescent Premarital Sexual Behavior At Public Senior High School 9 Bandar Lampung

Latar Belakang Penelitian: Perilaku seksual pranikah remaja merupakan suatu perilaku yang dapat menimbulkan hal-hal negatif apabila tidak diungkapkan dengan cara yang tidak sehat dan bertentangan dengan norma yang berlaku. Data Riset Kesehatan Dasar Indonesia (2018) menunjukkan bahwa 4,5% remaja laki-laki dan 0,7% remaja perempuan mengaku melakukan hubungan seks pranikah. Di Provinsi Lampung terdapat data 20,9% remaja melakukan perilaku seksual berisiko dan 5,1% diantaranya melakukan hubungan seksual.Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua (demokratis, permisif, dan otoriter) dengan persepsi remaja terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah di SMA Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung.Metode Penelitian: Sampel penelitian adalah 200 siswa berusia 16-18 tahun. Pemilihan peserta melalui teknik kombinasi Accidental Sampling dan Purposive Sampling yang dilakukan secara langsung. Seluruh variabel dalam penelitian pola asuh demokratis, permisif, dan otoriter diukur dengan metode self-report menggunakan instrumen kuesioner.Hasil Penelitian: Analisis statistik menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif antara pola asuh permisif dan demokratis terhadap perilaku seks pranikah remaja (p-value = 0,006 dan p-value = 0,000) dan tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan dengan pola asuh otoriter (p-value = 0006).Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bagi orang tua siswa dalam mengasuh anak akan disertai dengan motivasi yang tinggi untuk menghindari perilaku seksual pranikah.Saran: Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai saran pendekatan pendidikan seks bagi remaja yang tepat yaitu melalui keterlibatan langsung orang tua dalam pengasuhan anak seperti berdiskusi bersama, berlibur bersama, berolahraga bersama, agar dapat mendekatkan hubungan dan untuk menciptakan ruang bagi anak-anak untuk bercerita. ABSTRACT Backgound of Study: Adolescent premarital sexual behavior was a behavior which was able to lead to negative things when it was not expressed in an unhealthy manner and contrary to prevailing norms. The Indonesian Basic Health Research (2018) data showed that 4.5% of male adolescents and 0.7% of female adolescents admitted to have premarital sex. In Lampung Province there was data that 20.9% of adolescents had risky sexual behavior and 5.1% of them had sexual intercourse.Purpose of Study: This study was conducted to determine the correlation between parenting style (democratic, permissive, and authoritarian) and adolescents' perceptions of pre-marital sexual behavior at Public Senior High School 9 Bandar Lampung.Method of Study: The sample of study was 200 students aged 16-18 years. Selection of participants through a combination technique of accidental sampling and purposive sampling which was carried out directly. All variables in the study were democratic, permissive, and authoritarian parenting measured by the self-report method using a questionnaire instrument.Result of Study: Statistical analysis showed there was a positive correlation between permissive and democratic parenting styles on adolescent premarital sex behavior (p-value = 0.006 and p-value = 0.000) and there was not significant correlation with authoritarian parenting (p-value = 0006).Conclusion: This results of study showed that for students of parents in parenting would be accompanied by a high motivation to avoid premarital sexual behavior.Suggestions: These results of study could be used as suggestions for an appropriate approach to sex education for adolescents that was through direct parental involvements in child care such as having discussion time together, vacationing together, playing sports together, in order to draw closer relationships and to create space for children to tell their stories. Faktor Risiko yang Berhubungan dengan Perilaku Seksual Pranikah pada Remaja Akhir Usia 20-24 Tahun di Kelurahan Namosain

Premarital sexual behavior in adolescents is a serious problem in Indonesia. Every year the phenomenon of free sex or premarital sexual behavior by teenagers continues to increase and even adds to the rate of STI transmission and the incidence of HIV/AIDS. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors associated with premarital sexual behavior in late adolescents aged 20-24 years in the Namosain Village. This type of research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional research design. The sample size of this study was 340 late adolescents aged 20-24 years in the Namosain village. The results of this study showed that there was no relationship between knowledge and premarital sexual behavior with a p-value = 0.339 > α = 0.05. There is a relationship between sources of information and premarital sexual behavior with a p-value = 0.004 < α = 0.05. There is a relationship between peers and premarital sexual behavior with a p-value = 0.000 < α = 0.05. There is no relationship between parenting style and premarital sexual behavior with a p-value = 1.000 > α = 0.05. There is a relationship between dating style and premarital sexual behavior with a p-value = 0.000 < α = 0.05. Suggestions for parents can apply democratic parenting to children, so they can build good communication with children.

ANALISIS KUALITATIF FAKTOR PERILAKU SEKSUAL PRANIKAH REMAJA BERDASARKAN TEORI PERILAKU LAWRENCE GREEN (Studi Kasus di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Cilembang Kota Tasikmalaya)

Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults. Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults. Behavior that leads to intimacy, sexual attraction and sexual habits carried out by two people of the same sex or the opposite sex before a legal marriage is called premarital sex behavior. This study aims to determine what factors can influence adolescent premarital sexual behavior based on the behavioral theory of Lawrence Green and Sarwono and how it impacts. The method in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Informants are teenage girls who have premarital sex. The results of this study indicate predisposing factors for premarital sexual behavior, namely lack of knowledge, increased sexual libido, emotions, expectations, enabling factors for sexual behavior, namely the use of technological developments and information that is not wise. Reinforcing factors for sexual behavior are the attitudes of parents who taboo on sex, attitudes of peers that have a negative influence, delaying the age of marriage, tabooing sex, sexual violence, role vacancies, economics, conditions for joining the group. The impact of this sexual behavior is depression, low self- esteem, reproductive organ disorders, STD, pregnancy out of wedlock, sex addiction, regret, decreased school performance, social sanctions, sex becomes a teenage lifestyle, and sexual deviations. Therefore, to overcome this, it takes a wise attitude from parents, the community, health workers, and the youth themselves, so that they can get through the transition period safely.

Effectiveness knowledge of the prohibition of Zina in Islam towards pre-marriage sex students at Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School Surabaya

This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of understanding of the concept of adultery with premarital sexual behavior in high school students Nurul Huda Surabaya Method: This research is a quantitative analytical observational study with a cross-sectional simple random sampling technique. The sample size in this study of 30 people with a chi-square test model analysis Results: The results showed no significant correlation between understanding the concept of adultery with premarital sexual behavior in adolescents with p-value <0.05 (p = 0.007) Conclusion: The higher level of understanding of the concept of adultery, according to Islam, the lower the occurrence of premarital sexual behavior.

The Indonesian Health Demographic Survey (SDKI 2017) stated that 80% of women and 84% of men claimed to have dated. Among women and men who had had premarital sexual intercourse 59% of women and 74% of men reported starting sexual intercourse for the first time at the age of 15-19 years. The highest percentage occurred at the age of 17 years as much as 19%. Among adolescents who have had sexual intercourse, 12% of women have experienced an unwanted pregnancy. Adolescence is a stage between childhood and adulthood. Premarital sex behavior in adolescents is any desire-driven adolescent behavior with both the opposite sex and the same sex that was carried out before the existence of an official relationship as a husband and wife. Some of the factors that influence sexual behavior in adolescents include developmental factors, external factors, societal factors and behavioral factors of adolescents themselves. This study uses an analytical descriptive research design with a cross section method. The sample in this study was 76 people taken with the total sampling technique. This research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Bustanul Ulum Tanjung Jabung Timur. The data will be analyzed univariately and bivariately using chi square statistical tests. The results of this study showed that most respondents had good knowledge, had a positive attitude, had a moderate parental role, had moderate peers and had non-risky premarital sexual behavior as many as 45 respondents (59.2%). There is no knowledge relationship with premarital sexual behavior with a value of p=0.799. There is an attitudinal relationship (p=0.046), parental role (p=0.002) and peers (p=0.000) with premarital sexual behavior. The results of this study show that the factors that influence adolescent premarital sexual behavior include attitudes, the role of parents and peers. While the factor that does not affect is knowledge.

The Influence of Religiosity and Technology on Premarital Sexual Behavior of Adolescents in Senior High School 2 Kendari

This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity and social media on adolescent premarital sex behavior at SMA Negeri 2 Kendari. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all students at SMA Negeri 1 Lembo, North Konawe Regency, totaling 357 students, while the sample was 176 respondents who were determined by formula lameshow. The research sample was taken using probability sampling. The research data were analyzed using multiple logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the effect of religiosity on adolescent premarital sexual behavior was 0.001, and technology (social media) was 0.000. It can be concluded that religiosity and technology influence adolescent premarital sex behavior at SMA Negeri 2 Kendari. It is recommended for schools to educate students about reproductive health, while parents are expected to be able to supervise and provide love to adolescents..

Factors associated with premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA X Kendari City in 2023

Premarital sexual behavior is a problem and at the same time a social phenomenon that is increasingly common in society. The shift in the norms of good and bad, right and wrong, especially in the context of sexuality, is increasingly evident. Premarital sexual behavior in adolescents if not handled properly can cause cases of unwanted pregnancies (KTD) which in turn lead to abortions, STIs and HIV AIDS, and even death. The aim of this study was to determine the factors associated with premarital sexual behavior in SMA X students in Kendari City in 2022. Method: This type of research is a quantitative study using analytical methods with a cross sectional approach. The population is all students of class X and XI with a total of 466 people who are then selected through Proportional Stratified Random Sampling with a sample of 90 people. Result: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (p value = 0,045), information sources/media (p value = 0,004), and peer influence (p value = 0,006) and premarital sex behavior. However, there is no relationship between attitude (p value = 0,059) and parenting style (p value = 0,085, with premarital sex behavior. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge of reproductive health and sexuality, sources of information/media, and peer influence with premarital sex behavior. And there is no relationship between parenting attitudes and parenting patterns with premarital sex behavior.

This study aims to analyze factors related to adolescent premarital sex behavior, namely intention, access to information, peer conformity, parental roles, acting situations and self-efficacy. The research was conducted at SMAK St. Familia Wae Nakeng, Lembor sub-district, West Manggarai Regency. The research conducted was an analytical survey using a cross-sectional study. The research subjects were SMAK St. students. Familia Wae Nakeng, numbering 88 teenagers. The sample selection used a proportioned stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis used bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that intention, peer conformity, parental roles, acting situations and self-efficacy had a relationship with adolescent premarital sex behavior. while access to information has no relationship with premarital sex behavior among adolescents. It is hoped that the SMAK St. Familia Wae Nakeng can organizecommunication, information and education (IEC) programs regarding reproductive health in adolescents conducted by teachers or in collaboration with the BKKBN and local health centers.

Adolescent Religiosity and pre-marital sexual behavior: The mediating role of pre-marital sexual attitude

Pre-marital sex before marriage in adolescents is a severe problem associated with increased transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, having more than one partner, and early pregnancy. Even though Indonesia is considered a society with high religious values, free-sex behavior is considered increasingly concerning. This study investigates the relationship between religiosity and attitudes toward pre-marital sexual behavior with pre-marital sexual behavior in adolescents. Respondents of this study were 200 adolescents aged 10-19 years old, selected through a purposive sampling technique, with criteria: have religion, not married, and currently dating. Data were analyzed using a linear regression method. The results showed that pre-marital sexual attitude fully mediates the effect between religiosity and pre-marital sexual behavior. The present study findings contribute to pre-marital sexual research by explaining that religiosity does not decrease pre-marital sexual behavior if the person is permissive or has a supportive attitude towards it. With this outcome, it is expected that the relevant parties will focus more on changing adolescents’ thoughts, attitudes, and perspectives regarding pre-marital sexual behavior and not only rely on religious teachings as the only framework for preventing pre-marital sexual behavior

According to the IDHS, 8% of men and 2% of women have had premarital sexual behavior in their teens, namely 15-24 years. Adolescent boys who engage in premarital sexual behavior for reasons of mutual love are 47%, for reasons of curiosity as much as 34%, for reasons that have occurred as many as 15%, for reasons of being forced by a partner as much as 3% and influenced by friends as much as 3%. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the role of social media and premarital sexual behavior of village youths in Banggai Laut Regency, Central Sulawesi Province in 2022. The population in this study were all 221 teenagers in TL Village. The sample was selected by random sampling technique and a sample of 140 teenagers was obtained. The research method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The data that has been collected was analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis which was then followed by a chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between the role of social media and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents with a ρ value of 0.024. It is hoped that the local health office can improve and develop youth health service programs and other innovative programs so that youth are able to access reproductive health and sexuality information and become a forum for consultation on adolescent reproductive health issues.

PARENTAL BONDING AND RELIGIUSITY ON PREMARITAL SEXUAL BEHAVIOR IN ADOLESCENTS DATING

In adolescence, thoughts and feelings about sexuality begin to emerge along with experiencing first love, having friends who are sexually active, and curiosity about sexuality begins to increase. One of the factors that influence premarital sexual behavior in adolescents is the weak attachment of adolescents to their parents (parental bonding) and the level of religiosity. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the effect of parental bonding and religiosity on premarital sexual behavior in dating adolescents. This study involved 100 participants. Multiple regression analysis is used to test the hypothesis in this study. The results showed that parental bonding had an effect on premarital sexual behavior, while religiosity had no effect on premarital sexual behavior. The R2 value is 0.247, explaining that 24.7% of the variables of premarital sexual behavior in dating adolescents can be explained by parental bonding and religiosity variables, while the remaining 75.3% is influenced by other factors outside the study with a value of Sig. 0.000 (Sig. < 0.05).
