This research was motivated by the large number of traders at the Sayang- Sayang market who sell fish but some of them still do not fulfill the terms and conditions of buying and selling. Such as reducing the weight of fish scales so that one party suffers a loss because they are not honest in their buying and selling transactions. The focus studied in this thesis is (1) What are the factors that cause sellers to cheat in fish buying and selling measurements? (2) How does sharia economic law review the practice of buying and selling fish? The type of research used in this research uses qualitative research. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. The analytical method used is qualitative analysis in the form of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show (1) The factors that cause traders to cheat in buying and selling fish using a measuring system are lack of knowledge and understanding regarding appropriate scales, lack of socialization from the government, lack of public awareness of the role of religious figures regarding scales that are in accordance with Islamic law. (2) the practice of buying and selling fish using this measuring system partially meets the requirements for legal buying and selling. However, there are also some who have not fulfilled it. One of the buying and selling conditions that has not been fully fulfilled in the practice of buying and selling fish using this measuring system is the lack of clarity in the goods being traded in terms of substance, form and level.

Student Voter Resistance to Vote Buying in the 2024 General Election (Case Study of Students of the Department of Business Administration, Manado State Polytechnic)

Vote buying is a form of money politics that is a serious threat to the integrity of the democratic process, especially among young voters, including students. This study aims to analyze student voter resistance to the practice of vote buying (money politics) in the 2024 election, with a case study of students of the Department of Business Administration of the Manado State Polytechnic. This study uses a quantitative survey mix method approach supported by group discussions and in-depth interviews. The findings show that student resistance to vote buying is partial and tends to be passive. As many as 50.5% of students stated that they rejected the offer of vote buying, but another 49.5% admitted to accepting. The rate of active rejection in the form of reporting of candidates who do vote buying is very low, with only 26.1% of students supporting reporting. This low active resistance is influenced by factors such as personal relationships with candidates, normalization of money politics in the surrounding environment, and uncertainty in attitudes as reflected in the average Likert scale score of 3.3 (neutral/hesitant). However, support for anti-vote buying campaigns is quite high, with an average scale of 3.9, and 86.9% of students agree to be a pioneer in rejecting the practice. This study highlights the gap between the moral attitude of students who reject vote buying and the concrete actions needed to stop the practice, as well as the importance of intervention through education and legal protection for whistleblowers.

Nominee Arrangement in the Practice of Land Sale and Purchase in Indonesia

The practice of nominee agreements has occurred in Indonesia repeatedly; the agreement uses the power of attorney where the agreement uses the name of an Indonesian citizen to transfer power of attorney to a foreign citizen. A Nominee Agreement made by two parties, namely between an Indonesian citizen and a foreign citizen as the attorney (Nominee), is made through an agreement package to provide all authority that may arise in the legal relationship between a person and his land to a foreign party as a person who is given the power to act as the actual owner. The agreement borrows the name of an Indonesian citizen as the Nominee, and this is a legal smuggling because its substance is contrary to Article 21 paragraph (1) and Article 26 paragraph (2) of Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning the UUPA. In addition, the existence of a loan agreement in the name must be based on the terms and principles of freedom of contract as stipulated in Article 1320 and Article 1338 Paragraph (1) of the Civil Code. For this reason, an objective and comprehensive attitude and understanding are needed from the NotaryNotary in assessing the contents of the land sale and purchase agreement, primarily related to the one-sided agreement. In reality, in the author's opinion, nominee agreements do not comply with the positive law in force in Indonesia because the purpose of this agreement contains elements of bad ethics.

Legal Protection of Thrift Trade in Indonesia

The circulation of Thrift goods in Indonesia is one of the triggers for negative impacts entering Indonesia, so there is a need for regulation of the trade in Thrift goods and the need for protection for Thrift goods in Indonesia. The main problem in this writing is what the government's solution is in overcoming the problem of Thrift goods entering Indonesia. Because if left unchecked it will have a bad impact on the country. The research method used is normative research carried out with secondary data as legal material in the form of primary legal material. The results of this research show that Thrift goods are illegal goods, so the government prohibits the practice of buying and selling Thrifts as regulated in Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning trade and regulated in the Minister of Trade regulations. Apart from that, the form of protection for consumers in Thrift goods transactions is also regulated in Law number 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection, namely that the government guarantees the health and safety of consumers, upholds justice for consumer rights, and provides legal certainty to consumers so that consumers in carrying out transactions can walk safely and comfortably.

Breaking down purchasing intentions: selecting policy instruments for sustainable consumption

ABSTRACT Despite the breadth of sustainability issues, research on sustainable consumption mostly concentrates on environmental-orientated consumption and values. Alongside environmentally oriented approaches, policies mixes encouraging sustainable consumption need to account for socially responsible purchasing behaviour, such as ensuring inclusivity, as well as for the cognitive biases and heuristics underpinning such practices. This study investigates consumer motivations in Hong Kong through analysing a territory-wide survey to inform knowledge regarding the social aspect of sustainable consumption behaviour. We find a correlation between sense of belonging and social consumption intent, and empathy and social consumption intent, which is not the case for sustainable consumption intent. There is no significant correlation between moral obligation and sustainable consumption intent or between sense of belonging and sustainable consumption intent. Finally, knowledge is positively correlated to social and sustainability consumption intention. This provides insights into how policy tool mixes can be more impactful in motivating sustainable purchasing practices while identifying gaps in the conceptualization and understandings of sustainability that need addressing.

Appraisal factors of sustainable purchase intentions in online shopping platform context: PLS-SEM with theory extensions

Consumers and online applications are rapidly adopting sustainable purchase practices. However, there is a significant gap in research regarding the multi-mediation factors of buying arousal and buying affectivity that boost sustainable purchase intentions (SPI). This study aims to fill this gap by determining how SPI is enhanced among Malaysian consumers and how in-app appraisal factors (product, coping, and price) impact SPI. Two studies on sustainable products for Lazada app users from Malaysia were conducted using a novel partial least squares-structural equation modeling technique to evaluate the direct and mediating effects of the constructs on SPI. The first study reveals that product, price, and coping-related appraisal factors strongly affect SPI. The second study further supports the finding that price appraisal significantly affects buying affectivity, arousal, and SPI. Surprisingly, we found a strong mediating effect between sustainable products and buying affectivity. This study provides crucial insights for sustainable retailers and apps, empowering them with the knowledge on how to boost customers' SPI for retail and consumer services. It also equips managers with the understanding of the factors affecting customers’ purchasing psychology, thereby enabling them to develop dynamic, sustainable consumer-related in-application appraisal strategies.

Assessment of Women's Online Shopping Behavior in India: Model Design and Analysis

The exponential increase in internet usage in India has driven the swift growth of e-commerce, with women playing a crucial role in this expanding digital economy. This research presents a thorough literature analysis and framework to examine the factors affecting the online purchasing behaviour of women in India. The study specifically attempts to examine the influence of psychological, social, cultural, economic, privacy and security, and technological aspects on the purchasing decisions of female consumers. This research underscores the difficulties women encounter in online purchasing, especially in apparel and cosmetics, providing a gender-specific perspective frequently overlooked in existing studies. This study's originality stems from its integrative methodology, synthesising findings from established consumer behaviour theories and applying them to the context of women's online buying practices in India, an area that has been insufficiently explored. By addressing these gaps, the study enhances the theoretical comprehension of women’s digital consumer behaviour and establishes a foundation for future practical strategies that businesses, marketers, and policymakers can utilise to improve the online shopping experience for Indian women.

Implementasi Takaful Sebagai Sistem Asuransi Syariah Dalam Jual Beli Mobil pada PT. Mandiri Utama Finance Syariah di Kabupaten Bone

Takaful, as a form of sharia-based insurance, has an important role in providing protection collectively with the principle of mutual help in accordance with Islamic law. This sharia insurance is free from elements of riba, gharar, and speculation, making it a more suitable option for Muslims compared to conventional insurance. In the context of buying and selling, such as car buying and selling transactions at PT. Mandiri Utama Finance Syariah in Bone Regency, takaful is an important solution to provide protection against various risks that may occur in trading activities. This study will further examine the implementation of takaful in the practice of buying and selling in the Islamic financial sector. This study aims to find out the Implementation of Takaful as a Sharia Insurance System in Buying and Selling Cars at PT. Mandiri Utama Finance Syariah in Bone Regency. The type of research used is a type of qualitative research with an Islamic economic approach supported by the use of observation, interview and documentation methods in collecting the required data. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The collected data is then processed with steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification/conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the car buying and selling system at PT. Mandiri Utama Finance Syariah Bone is that there are several advantages in buying and selling cars, namely sharia without usury interest, fixed installments until the end of the tenor, no penalties and fines with interest and clear contracts ahead and blessings.

Teaching Programmatic Buying in a Media Planning Class

Programmatic advertising has come to dominate the landscape of digital media planning. To prepare ad majors for their future careers in the industry, it is essential to teach students programmatic buying and provide them with hands-on experience. In this article, the authors present their approach of integrating teaching programmatic buying into a media planning course. A key feature of their educational package is a custom digital media buying tool developed by the authors. They hope this article will benefit other college educators in this field and spark further discussions on best teaching practices of programmatic buying and digital media planning.

Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Konsumen Dalam Jual Beli Pakaian Bekas (Thrifting) Melalui Aplikasi TikTok

Abstract This research aims to provide an explanation regarding the legal provisions governing the legality of buying and selling second-hand clothing or thrifting through the TikTok application in Indonesia, as well as the protection offered by law to consumers who purchase second-hand clothing. To complement that objective, this research employs a Normative Juridical method using a Legislative approach. This research shows the following results: First, the practice of buying and selling second-hand clothing in Indonesia is not prohibited; however, if the second-hand clothing being sold is imported, this contradicts the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 51 of 2015 concerning the Prohibition of Importing Second-Hand Clothing and the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 40 of 2022 concerning Prohibited Export and Import Goods. Therefore, it is established that the activity of buying and selling imported second-hand clothing is ILLEGAL. Second, consumer protection in the buying and selling of second-hand clothing can be carried out in two ways: preventively, through the establishment of legislation on consumer protection, and repressively, through resolution between both parties (non-litigation) or by filing a lawsuit in the General Court (litigation). A Research on Consumer views of the Impacts of Electronical Commerce

Commerce is a new term that refers to the practice of buying, selling, or exchanging services andinformation over computer networks. WOM marketing is the informal means of disseminatinginformation from one client to another without the intervention of a marketer. As a result, the study'sgoal is to concentrate on one sort of WOM online user-generated evaluations, despite the fact that othertypes of WOM are equally worthy of inquiry. This study examined the variables that impact and hinder ecommercedeployment among SMEs in the NCR. The convenience sampling strategy was used tochoose 10 SMEs for the sample size. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software wasused to provide analyses on demographic data, e-commerce benefits, barriers, perceived characteristics,and adoption based on study objectives. Profiles of SMEs will be displayed, along with frequency andpercentage distribution. T-test and ANOVA analyses were also used to evaluate the benefits anddrawbacks of e-commerce for various demographic groups. Despite the fact that other types of WOM areas deserving of inquiry, the current study focuses on one sort of WOM online consumer-generatedevaluations.

Assessment of Antibiotics Adherence and Investigating the Targeted Interventions to Dwindle the Antibiotics Nonadherence

Introduction: Antibiotic resistance is a pressing global health concern, exacerbated by antibiotic nonadherence and misuse. Understanding the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) regarding antibiotics among the general population is crucial for effective interventions. This study aims to assess antibiotic adherence behavior among adults in the Chennai population and validate potential interventions to improve adherence. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in and around Thoraipakkam, Chennai, over 6 months. Data were collected using a specially designed form covering demographics, medication adherence, KAP related to antibiotics. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 23. Results: Among 250 participants, the majority (64%) was nonadherent to antibiotics, with significant associations found between adherence and gender, education, and medication purchase practices. Knowledge scores indicated that 39% had good knowledge of antibiotic use. Attitudes were varied, with 56% holding positive attitudes toward antibiotics. Practices also varied, with 52% exhibiting good antibiotic use practices. Validation of potential interventions showed high acceptance rates among participants, indicating the effectiveness of targeted interventions in improving adherence. Conclusion: This study highlights the prevalence of antibiotic nonadherence and identifies factors associated with it among adults in Chennai. It underscores the importance of targeted interventions to improve adherence and mitigate antibiotic resistance.

Methods of the Research: This research method is empirical juridical research that uses primary and secondary data. The legal materials used are primary legal materials, secondary legal materials with questionnaire and interview methods, data collection techniques with literature studies and field studies. Data processing and analysis techniques use descriptive analytical data analysis by identifying, classifying, then analyzing and describing according to the hierarchy. Results of the Research: Based on have not carried out the first land the results of the interviews, it is known that some people in Sanahu village do not know about the sale and purchase practices that should be taken in order to obtain legal certainty from the sale and purchase transactions carried out. This should be done based on the provisions of Article 19 paragraph 2 of the UUPA, Article 37 of PP 24 of 1997 concerning land registration. Understanding antibiotic purchasing practices in community pharmacies: A potential driver of emerging antimicrobial resistance

IntroductionAntimicrobial resistance (AMR), a transboundary health issue, critically impacting low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where 80% of antibiotics are used in the community, with 20–50% being inappropriate. Southeast-Asia, including Bangladesh, faces heightened AMR risk due to suboptimal healthcare standard and unregulated antibiotic sales. This study aimed to audit antibiotic dispensing patterns from community pharmacies, identifying factors influencing purchasing behaviors. MethodsA cross-sectional survey of 385 antibiotic customers and structured observations of 1000 pharmacy dispensing events were conducted in four urban and rural areas in Bangladesh. Descriptive analysis defined antibiotic use, while Poisson regression examined how patients' demographics and health symptoms influenced prescription behaviors. ResultsAmong 1000 observed medicine dispensing events, 25.9% were antibiotics. Commonly purchased antibiotics included macrolides (22.8%), third-generation-cephalosporins (20.8%), and second-generation-cephalosporins (16.9%). Following WHO-AWaRe classifications, 73.5% of antibiotics were categorized as Watch, and 23.1% as Access. From the survey, 56.6% antibiotics were purchased without a prescription from drug-sellers and informal healthcare providers, primarily for “non-severe” health-symptoms such as upper-respiratory-tract infections (37.4%), fever (31.7%), uncomplicated skin infections (20%), gastrointestinal-infections (11.2%), and urinary-tract infections (7.9%). The likelihood of presenting a prescription while purchasing antibiotics was 27% lower for individuals aged 6–59 compared to those ≤5 or ≥ 60. Lower-respiratory-tract infections and enteric-fever had higher prescription rates, with adjusted prevalence ratios of 1.78 (95% CI: 1.04, 3.03) and 1.87 (95% CI: 1.07, 3.29), respectively. After adjusting for confounders, sex, urban-rural locations, income, education, and number of health-symptoms exhibited no significant influence on prescription likelihood. ConclusionThis study underscores unregulated antibiotic sales without prescriptions, urging tailored interventions considering prevailing health-seeking practices in diverse healthcare settings in LMICs. Enforcing prescription-only regulations is hindered by easy access through community pharmacies and conflicts of interest. Future strategies should consider how stewardship impacts the financial interests of pharmacy personnel in settings lacking clear authority to ensure optimal compliance.

Promoting proactive helping behaviour: the role of positive psychological capital and emotional self-control

PurposeCustomers’ proactive helping behaviours involving personal initiative taking may present an effective solution for assisting other customers in avoiding harmful brands. Accordingly, this study aims to propose a model explaining the role of positive psychological capital (self-efficacy and optimism) in influencing customers’ proactive helping behaviours involving personal initiative taking. The study additionally provides greater clarity regarding the moderating effect of emotional self-control within the suggested model.Design/methodology/approachSurvey data were collected from 256 respondents in South Africa, who reported on their perceptions and the degree to which they engage in proactive helping behaviours to assist other customers in avoiding harmful brands. Hypotheses were tested using regression analysis.FindingsGeneral self-efficacy and social optimism influence customers’ proactive helping behaviours. Emotional self-control moderates the indirect effect of general self-efficacy on customers’ proactive helping behaviours through social optimism.Research limitations/implicationsGreater insight is obtained into the interplay between factors representing a positive psychological state and self-control of negative emotions and these factors’ effect on customers’ proactive helping behaviours involving personal initiative taking.Originality/valueThe research extends knowledge of proactive helping behaviours involving personal initiative taking to assist other customers in avoiding harmful brands and subsequently provides a baseline for further research in this regards. Practically, the research is useful to social agents of society concerned with promoting responsible purchasing practices.

Chinese Consumers’ Green Purchase Practices: A Review

This paper reviews current research with significant findings on Chinese consumers' green purchasing behavior in the 2000 to 2023 interval. The main direction of the article is to focus on the factors analyzed in the current research that influence consumers' green purchasing intentions and behaviors, and others include social comparison strategies, advertising appeals, traditional cultural values, and environmental responsibility. The study found that factors such as social comparison strategy, advertising appeal, traditional cultural values, and sense of environmental responsibility have a significant impact on Chinese consumers' green purchasing behavior. In a collectivist society, consumers tend to adjust their purchasing decisions according to the behavioral norms of the social group. Emotionally appealing advertisements are more likely than rationally appealing advertisements to stimulate consumers' environmental awareness and purchase motivation. The concepts of "benevolence" and "propriety" in traditional culture promote green purchasing by emphasizing mutual assistance, responsibility, and compliance with environmental norms, but the "face-saving" culture sometimes leads to superficial environmental behavior. Consumers' sense of environmental responsibility, influenced by education, social norms, and personal values, is an important factor driving green purchasing intentions. Despite consumers' strong willingness to buy green, there are often significant gaps in actual behavior which are attributed to factors such as price, convenience, product availability, and information transparency. Brand authenticity can help enhance consumer trust and emotional connection, thus increasing the likelihood of green product purchases. Government subsidies and the green consumption points system can effectively increase the market share of green products. Future research can further explore the relative importance of each factor and effective strategies to bridge the gap between purchase intention and actual behavior. Meanwhile, new approaches such as digital platforms and behavioral interventions are also worthy of attention to better promote sustainable consumption in China.

Jual Beli Buket Uang Perspektif Hukum Islam

This research aims to analyze the practice of buying and selling money bouquets at Alfia Bouquet, Kediri Regency and reviewing its conformity with Islamic law. Money bouquets, the creation of strings of money in the form of a bouquet, are increasingly in demand among young people. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review design. The research results show that buying and selling cash bouquets at Alfia Bouquet Kediri can be done via social media or directly at the point of sale. This transaction uses an ijarah contract, where the buyer selects the desired item and the seller clarifies the product details and payment procedures. Payment can be made in advance with a down payment, directly when the goods are delivered, or via transfer. Even though it involves three transaction models: the buyer gives money for the bouquet, the seller includes money in the bouquet with a fee based on the number of pieces, and a blended fee, this practice is considered in accordance with sharia principles. Although there are concerns regarding usury and waste, as well as regulations, these transactions are generally considered halal because what is traded is the bouquet as a commodity, not the currency itself.
