Click to increase image sizeClick to decrease image sizeRésuméLa coopération entre Universités d'Etat en matière de recherches sur la physiologie des volailles s'effectue de façon courante dans deux régions des Etats-Unis: 1°— Un projet régional des états du Nord-Est, NE-61, s'intitule “Réponses physiologiques des poussins aux fluctuations de l'environment.” Un physiologiste et ingénieur agronome de chaqué état collaborent avec la Division de recherche du Génie Rural du Ministère de l'Agriculture. L'objectif est de déterminer les résponses physiologiques des poussins à des variations de la lumière, de la poussière et de la température.2°— Un projet régional des Etats de l'Ouest, W—50, s'intitule: “Effet des stress atmosphériques sur les performances des pondeuses”. Les effets de l'altitude sont comparés dans trois états: WYOMING (altitude 2,215 mètres), NEW MEXICO (1,182 mètres), et WASHINGTON ouest (15 mètres).Les effets physiologiques et biochimiques de la nutrition, de la température et de la lumière sont étudiés en commun par sept autres états dans cette région de l'ouest des Etats-Unis.

Dans leurs exploitations il atteint 1 Kg 2 de poids vif à 8–9 mois.De 1918 à 1965 la Vulgarisation a consisté à faire distribuer par des Stations Avicoles des oeufs à couver, des sujets d'ages divers-1 jour à 3 mois- ou des coqs adultes. Les résultats ont été négatifs.A partir de 1965, la Direction des Services Vétérinaires et de l'Elevage inaugura l'utilisation de méthodes plus rigoureuses: spécialisation des Stations, production intensive de poussins d'un jour, leur élevage de O à 4–5 semaines, de même que l'application par les bénéficiaires de techniques simples et à leur portée.La production de poussins d'un jour de 15,000 en 1966 est passée à 101,000 en 1968, la viabilità des poussins démarrés retrocédés a été de 95%. La Rhode Island atteignit 1 Kg 2 à 4–5 mois, tandis que le croisement chair parvenait au même poids à 3–4 mois, assurant des profits de l'orde de 2·50 DH par poulet:Les consommateurs trouvèrent que le gout était bon, meilleur même que celui du poulet traditionnel ou industriel.
