The A.A. studied the distribution of 1.478 specimens of Ascocotyle sp. along the gastrointestinal tubes of 45 street dogs from São Paulo City. The worms were collected by means of the technique described by MELLO and CAMPOS, and the final distribution was: 102 specimens (6,9%) in the duodenum; 1.332 in anterior jejunum (90,1 % and 44 in posterior jejunum (3,0%).
