The Effect of Discovery Learning Model Assisted by PhET Media on The Critical Thinking Ability of Class X High School Students

This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by PhET media on Alternative Energy material on the critical thinking skills of class X high school students in Cirebon city of 2024/2025 year. This type of research is a kuasi experiment. The research sample was an experimental class of 34 students and control class of 32 students with purposive sampling technique. The instrument was a student critical thinking skills test with the form of essay questions and has been validated by experts. In addition, based on the results of statistical tests, the instrument was declared valid and reliable with a value of 0.676. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 87 and the control class posttest was 81. The prerequisite test results stated that the samples were normally distributed and homogeneous. In addition, an independent t-test was conducted with a result of 0.002. These results indicate that there is a significant effect of the discovery learning model assisted by PhET media on Alternative Energy material for X grade high school students.

The Effect of Anagram Game Towards Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at the Eighth Grade of SMPN 6 Malingping Lebak Banten in the Academic Year 2023/ 2024

This research aims to determine the significant Effect of Anagram Game Towards Students Vocabulary Mastery at the Eighth Grade of SMPN 6 Malingping Lebak-Banten in the Academic Year 2023/2024. The researcher paper used quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted six meetings and the researcher has chosen two classes are a experimental class and control class. The technique in choosing the sample is purposive sampling, the researcher used VIII-A (30 students) as experimental class and VIII-B (32 students) as control class. The experimental class was taught used Anagram Game, while the control class was taught used Pictionary Game. In the collecting the data technique, the researcher gives pre-test and post-test. The score pre-test of experimental class are 1965, the score pre-test of control class are 1730. Then, the score post-test of experimental class are 2340, the score post-test of control class are 2335. In analyzing the data, the researcher used SPSS 29 statistical computation and used the result of the post-test both class experimental and control to analyze the hypothesis test. The researcher has found the result of Significant two-tailed = <0.001. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the usage of Anagram Game has a significant effect towards students’ vocabulary mastery in SMPN 6 Malingping.

The impact of 12 weeks of circuit body weight training on athletes’ physical fitness

The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of 12-week circuit body weight training on athletes’ physical fitness. This study used an experimental design with a control group. This experimental model consists of three stages. Firstly, pre-testing the dependent variable before implementing the treatment. Secondly, experimental participants are given experimental treatment, specifically the circuit body weight approach. Thirdly, provide a post-test to measure the dependent variable after treatment. The experimental sample included 25 athletes from various sports who were separated into two treatment groups. The circuit body weight group consisted of 13 samples, while the remaining 12 were trained using conventional direct teaching methods. The data analysis technique begins with calculating the data’s normality. The homogeneity test determines if two data sets contain homogeneous versions. Finally, the Mann-Whitney test compares two similar population means. Calculations using SPSS IBM 26 on data before treatment in the experimental class resulted in a valid sample size of 25 and a score of 48.40 ± 2,931. The experimental group had a valid sample size of 25, with a score of 49.57 ± 2,979. Pre-test data for the control class showed 25 valid samples with a score of 38.7 ± 6,607. Meanwhile, the control class post-test data obtained a valid sample size of 25 with a score 39.43 ± 6.796. The table shows a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in physical fitness scores between the experimental and control groups. Additionally, there is a difference in average Physical Fitness results between the Circuit bodyweight training model and the conventional learning model.

The effect of comic strips media towards students' reading comprehension in narrative text (an experimental study at the Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 1 Cijaku in the Academic Year 2023/2024)

This research paper aim to investigation the effect of comic strips media towards students’ Reading Comprehension in narrative text an experimental study at the Tenth Grade Students’ of SMAN 1 Cijaku. The research paper used the quantitative research design with the characteristics of experimental method that is design into two classes. They are experimental and control class. The population of this research is class X of SMAN 1 Cijaku, they consists 134 students. The sample of this research is X1 as an experimental class consists 33 students and X2 as a control class consists of 35 students. The total of sample is 68 students. The instrument is a test and data of this research are collected by giving pre-test and post-test. The data is analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 program including mean, standard deviation and t-test. It could be seen from the result of the post-test of experimental and control class. The findings reveal that the data analysis and interpretation of the research, it is clear there is a significant effect of comic strips media towards students’ reading comprehension in narrative text an experimental study at the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Cijaku. It can be seen, the minimum score pre-test is 15, maximum is 45, mean 26.14 and standard deviation 7.867. While the minimum score post-test control class is 20, maximum 60, mean 36.43 and standard deviation 9.360. Furthermore, the minimum score of control class is 15, maximum 50, mean 33.64 and standard deviation 8.685. While the minimum score post-test of experimental class is 30, maximum 60, mean 46.06 and standard deviation 8.174. The result of t-test obtained sig. value 0.000 ≤ ??? = 0.05. Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It can conclude that there is a significant effect of comic strips media towards students reading comprehension in narrative text.

The effect of blooket game towards students’ vocabulary mastery at the seventh-grade students of SMP-IT Mathla’ul Anwar Malingping in Academic Year 2023/2024

The research aims to know whether the use of Blooket Game significant effect towards students’ vocabulary mastery at the seventh-grade of SMP-IT Mathla’ul Anwar Malingping or not. The research paper used the quantitative research design with the characteristics of experimental method that is design into two classes. They are experimental and control class. The population of this research is class VII of SMP-IT Mathla’ul Anwar Malingping, they consist of 84 students. The sample of this research is VII-A as a control class consists of 28 students and VII-B as an experimental class consists of 28 students. The total of sample is 56 students. The instrument is a test and data of this research are collected by giving pre-test and post-test. The data is analysed using statistical SPSS 22 program including mean, standard deviation, and t-test. It could be seen from the result of the post-test of experimental and control class. Based on the result of data analysis and interpretation of the research, it is clear there is a significant effect of Blooket Game towards students’ vocabulary mastery at the seventh-grade students of SMP-IT Mathla’ul Anwar Malingping. It can be seen, the minimum score of pre-tests is 32, maximum is 72, mean 53.86, and standard deviation 11.339. while the minimum score of post-tests of experimental class is 68, maximum 96, mean 81.71 and standard deviation 8.105. furthermore, the minimum score of pre-tests of control class is 32, maximum 72, mean 52.71 and standard deviation 11.317. while the minimum score of post-tests of control class is 60, maximum 88, mean 72.57 and standard deviation 6.974. the result of t-test obtained sig.value 0.000 < 0.05. Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of Blooket Game towards students’ vocabulary mastery.

Effect of Make a Match Technique on Students’ Vocabulary Mastery

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Make a Match Technique on students' vocabulary mastery at SMPN 1 Panti Jember in the academic year 2022/2023. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group. The population was seventh grade consist of 186 students and the sample of this research was seventh grade consist of 58 students of class E and F. The data were collected by using pre-test and post-test in control class and experimental class were analyzed using SPSS 16.0. The mean score of experimental class before giving the treatment is 72,30 and the mean score after giving the treatment is 87,40. For testing the hypothesis is used mann-whitney test as a substitute independent test, and the result is Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. So, the Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Additionally, the result of data analysis shows that there is a significant effect on students’ vocabulary mastery who taught using Make a Match Technique. Using the Make a Match technique can also stimulate students to remember vocabulary better, especially in nouns and verbs.

Pengaruh model problem-based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik

This study aims to analyze whether there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audiovisual media and those using the conventional teaching model. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, using a nonequivalent control group design, involving one experimental class and one control class. Data were collected through tests, consisting of pretest and posttest, as well as non-test methods including observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques were performed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results of the hypothesis test on pretest data showed no significant difference in the average critical thinking skills between students in the experimental class using PBL assisted by audiovisual media and those in the control class using the conventional model, with pretest mean scores of 56.61 and 55.18, respectively. However, the hypothesis test results on posttest data showed a significant difference, with the posttest mean score of the experimental class reaching 78.39, higher than the control class's posttest mean score of 70.00. Thus, the use of the PBL model assisted by audiovisual media has been proven to have a positive impact on improving students' critical thinking skills.

The Influence of the Guided Discovery Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Students of SMP Negeri 02 Bengkulu City

One approach that mathematics teachers can take in teaching to improve mathematics learning outcomes is the discovery learning model which uses problems related to student learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of implementing the discovery learning model in improving mathematics learning outcomes for students at SMP Negeri 02 Bengkulu City. This type of research is guided discovery learning. This research data was obtained from learning results tests and learning implementation observation sheets. The analysis used is the two independent samples t test. The results of this research show that: 1) The mathematics learning outcomes of students who were taught using the discovery learning model in the experimental class pretest had an average score of 24.63 and in the experimental class posttest had an average score of 74.15. 2) The mathematics learning outcomes of students who were taught using conventional learning in the control class pretest had an average score of 23.52 in the control class posttest had an average score of 61.11. 3) applying discovery learning to mathematics learning is more effective than conventional models in improving student learning outcomes if seen based on the average posttest score for learning outcomes. THE EFFECT OF THE QUIZLET APPLICATION ON THE VOCABULARY MASTERY OF STUDENTS IN CLASS VII MTS AL-WASHLIYAH BAH GUNUNG

<p>This study aims to determine the effect of the quizlet application on the vocabulary mastery observed and researched at Mts Al-washliyah Bah Gunung. This research is conducted using an experimental research design. The population in this study are students of class VII MTs. Alwashliyah Bah Gunung. The sample of the research h is class VII-1 (24 students) as the control class and VII-2 (24 students) as the experimental class. In this study, researchers taught experimentally using the quizlet application and in the control class, researchers taught using conventional methods. Researchers used a pre test, treatment, and post test in this study. In the control class, the score between the pre test and post test increased by 18.12. Meanwhile, in the experimental class the score increased by 21.87. Researcher uses SPSS v.22 to calculate the data. In the post-test control class and experimental class, the researcher finds that the Sig. (2-tailed) on the T-Test is 0.114. > 0.05.</p>

Improving Procedure Text Writing Skills Through The Integration Of Picture Series Within Flipped Classroom Approach

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significant effect of the picture series technique in writing procedure text in the eighth grade of MTs. M 06 Banyutengah. This study used a quasi experimental design consisting of one class as the treatment class and one class as the control class. The population in this study was the eighth grade of MTs. M 06 Banyutengah, and the samples of this study were students VIII A and VIII B Mts. M 06 Banyutengah school year 2023/2024. The sample was taken using purposive sampling. The instrument of this study was a writing test focusing on procedure text. The researcher collected data by giving a pre-test, giving treatment in the experimental class using the picture series technique with a flipped classroom, and finally giving a post-test. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and normality test. To test the hypothesis, the researcher used paired sample t-test, which was calculated through SPSS 25.0. The results of this study showed that the mean score the students' mean score raises in class experiment 23.66 points, from 43.00 (pre-test experiment class) to 66.66 (post-test experiment class), while the students' mean score raises in class control 16,83 points, from 42.83 (pre-test control class) to 59.66 (post-test control class). In addition, the Sig (2 tailed) value was 0.000. This means that the probability value (Sig) is lower than α (p-value < α or 0.000).

Pengaruh Model Discovery Learning terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Peserta Didik pada Pembelajaran IPAS Kelas V

The implementation of IPAS learning in the classroom with a direct learning model makes students passive. This creates learning conditions that are not conducive for students to explore and discover their own knowledge, so that creative thinking skills are difficult to develop. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the discovery learning model on students' creative thinking skills in class V IPAS learning. This research was conducted at SDN 22 West Pontianak. The method used was quasi experiment with the form of nonequivalent control group design. Sample selection with purposive sampling with data sources 33 students of class V B (experimental), and 32 students of class V A (control). The instrument used was a creative thinking ability test. The average value of the experimental class post-test results is 60.82. While the average value of the control class post-test results is 55.25. Based on the results of the calculation with the t test, tcount (2.151) > ttable (1.999) (α = 5% and dk = 63), Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the calculation using effect size, the result is 0.376 with a medium category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning model affects the creative thinking ability of students in class V IPAS learning.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran <i>Problem Based Learning</i> (PBL) Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan Respon Siswa Kelas VIII MTs. Putri Al-Ishlahuddiny Kediri Lombok Barat

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the critical thinking abilities of class VIII MTs students. Putri Al-Ishlahuddiny Kediri, West Lombok. This research is a quasi-experiment research with a quantitative approach, non-equivalent control group research design. The population in this study were all class VIII students consisting of 4 (four) classes. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study was 42 students from class VIII C as the control class and 41 students from class VIII D as the experimental class. The research instrument uses tests. Based on the research results, the average pretest score for the control class was 24.31 and the average pretest score for the experimental class was 24.29, while the average score for the experimental class posttest was higher than the control class posttest with the average posttest class score the experimental score was 68.29 and the average posttest score for the control class was 62.92 and was included in the equally high class category. Apart from that, the average N-Gain value for the experimental class is 0.57 and the average N-Gain value for the control class is 0.50. The difference in increase from pretest to posttest for the experimental class was 44, while for the control class it was 28.61. Further test results based on the t test using paired samples test show a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be seen that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Media Video Interaktif terhadap Hasil Belajar Mata Pelajaran Projek Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan di SMK PGRI 3 Badung

This study aims to 1) find out the differences in learning outcomes of creative and entrepreneurial project subjects before applying the interactive video media-assisted problem-based learning model, 2) knowing the differences in learning outcomes of creative and entrepreneurial project subjects after applying the problem-based learning model assisted by interactive video media, 3) knowing the significant influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by video media interactive for grade XI students majoring in Hospitality at SMK PGRI 3 Badung in 2023/2024. This research is quantitative research with a type of research, namely quasi-experiment (quasy experiment). The results showed that: 1) The learning outcomes of creative and entrepreneurial project subjects before applying the interactive video media-assisted problem-based learning model were obtained a range value of 21, a minimum value of 56 and a maximum value of 77, at a mean value of 66.59, a standard deviation of 6.265 and a variance of 39.248, 2) Student learning outcomes after applying a problem-based learning model assisted by video media interactive where the range value is 12, at a minimum value of 80 and a maximum of 92, the mean value is 85.97, the standard deviation is 3.262 and the variance value is 10.638, 3) There is an influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by interactive video media on the results of student learning creative and entrepreneurial project subjects where Pair 1 obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, then it means that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of students for the experimental class Pre-Test with the experimental class Post-Test. In the output of Pair 2 obtained a significance (2-tailed) of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, so it means that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of students for the control class Pre-Test with the control class Post-Test.

<p><em>In this study the researchers discussed tarkib learning, problem in tarkib learning is many of the students don’t understand tarkib learning. Purpose of this research is (1) To find out the comparison of student tarkib learning using Video Scribe media with students using blackboard media. (2) To determine the effect of Sparkol Videoscribe learning media on fifth grade students of MIN Bukittinggi. As for the method used in this study is a quantitative method. The popolation consist of 93 students, researches took 62 students as a sample. The value of student tarkib learning is the average post-test for the exsperimental class is 84,83, while the average of the control class post-test is 77,67. The researcher found that the resultsof T count were 2,513 and T Table 2.000, so the result of T count were greater than T table. As For the result of the study,(1) there was an influence in tarkib learning between students who used Sparkol Videoscribe and students who used blackboard media, (2) and there is the infuence of Sparkol Videoscribbe learning media in tarkib class 5 Min bukittinggi.</em></p>

IMPROVING LISTENING COMPREHENSION BY USING ENGLISH SONGS FOR THE TENTH-GRADE STUDENTS AT SMAN 10 GOWA

Listening is one of the four most essential English learning skills students have in learning. The research objective was to improve students' listening skills through the use of English songs. This study used a quantitative type of experimental method. There were two classes, namely the experimental class with English songs and the control class without English songs. The research sample was grade X students consisting of 50 students in which 25 students in each experimental class and control class. Data collection techniques in this study used a pre-test and post-test. The results showed that the pre-test for the experimental class had a mean value of 57.88 and the pre-test for the control class had a mean value of 55.04. Then, after treatment, the research results showed that the experimental class post-test had a mean value of 86.08 and the control class post-test had a mean value of 73.00. The results of the data were analyzed by using an independent T-test showing that Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 which is lower than 0.05 so that (Ha) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected so that there is an influence on listening results of using English songs. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that English songs can improve listening skills for grade X of SMAN 10 Gowa.

The Effectiveness of Reading Aloud Application on the Ability to Read the QS. Al-Ma’un and Translations in English

This research was conducted to find out how effective the application of the reading-aloud method is on the ability to read the Q.S Al Ma'un and its translation in English. This study aims to determine whether the reading-aloud method affects students' ability to read Q.S Al-Ma'un of the Quran and its English translation in the second semester of the Management Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Pringsewu. This study employs a quasi-experimental methodology. The results showed that the experimental class's post-test score was 69.1, with a standard deviation of 8.22, and the practical class's pre-test score was 56.5, with a standard deviation of 8.53. The control class's post-test score was 60.40, with a standard deviation 9.68. The outcomes of the two tests are dissimilar. Additionally, both classes’-test results are 0.00. This indicates that the hypothesis is correct and that the reading-aloud strategy can help students become more proficient readers.

Influence Of Quizizz Aplication As Quantum Learning Model Toward The Concept Of Understanding Mathematics Ability

One of the external factors that influenced the concept of understanding ability is the learning style that used in the classroom activities. The aim of this research is to investigate whether Quizizz application as the Quantum learning model influence or not for the concept of understanding ability at grade XI senior high school NU 1 Kemranjen. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is influence and implementation on the application of the Quantum Learning model assisted by the Quiz application on the ability to understand the concept of class XI SMA Ma'arif Nu 1 Kemranjen. This research used an Experiment as a method of this and Quantitative as the approach. The population of this research is all students of grade XI senior high school which consist of 166 students. The class of XI IPA which consist of 27 students as the control class and XI IPA 2 which consist of 28 as the experiment class. The result showed that there was influence and implementation using Quizizz application as the Quantum Learning model. Meanwhile, the instrument of post-test in control class and experiment class which using independent sample test achieved sig = 0,000 < α = 0,05 that revealed different average significant, as a result, there is influence using Quizizz application as Quantum Learning model in the concept of understanding ability of grade XI senior high school NU Kemranjen.

Reading Comprehension for the Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 11 Jambi

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of using Listen – Read – Discuss (LRD) strategy towards students’ reading comprehension for tenth grade students at SMAN 11 Jambi. This method of research is quantitative and the design of this research is quasi-experimental design. This research used two classes, experimental class and control class, X-E7 as experimental class were taught by using Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) Strategy, and X-E3 as control class were taught without Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy. Both classes consist of 36 students. This research used a test instrument with multiple choice questions with total number questions is 16 items. The test consisted of Narrative Text. The technique of data analysis is calculation the students’ score and analyzing using SPSS. The data was analyzed by T-test using SPSS for windows version 21.0. The result of this research is found that the mean score of post-test in experiment class with using LRD strategy was 87,86 and the mean of post-test in control class without using LRD Strategy was 77.67. Meanwhile, from T-test analysis found that the value of sig (2-tailed) was 0.000. As the result, it can be seen that 0.00 < 0.05 which mean that null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected ad the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It means that there is significant effect of using Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy toward students reading comprehension at tenth grade students of SMAN 11 Jambi.

The Effect Of Using Tiktok On Students’ Vocabulary Mastery In Seventh Grade At SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar

The researcher decided to implement TikTok video in this research. The objective of this research is to find out the effect of using TikTok on students’ vocabulary mastery in seventh grade at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar academic year 2023/2024. This research used quasi-experimental design with quantitative method. In this research, the reseaarcher used two classes with the name experimental class and control class. The researcher took the population of seventh grade with the total number was 265 students. For the sample, in the experimental class and control class the number of students were same, there were 30. The sample for experimental class was VII-1 and the sample for control class was VII-2, students who were selected using purposive sampling technique. And to analyze the data, the researcher used the t-test formula to determine whether using TikTok had an effect on student’s vocabulary mastery. After analyze the data, the result of this research showed the mean score pre-test and post-test in the experimental class and the mean score of the pre-test and post-test in control class. While in the experimental class mean score pre-test was 60,5 and post-test was 80,3 And in the control class mean score pre-test was 60,16 and post-test was 70,66 For standard deviation in experimental class was 1.424,16 and standard deviation in control class was 867,5. After calculating the mean and standard deviation from both of class, the researcher calculating used t-test formula, the result was the t-test must highest from t-table with 5% level significance (5,761 > 1,697). Based on the finding of this research, the researcher conclude that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. So, it can be concluded that using TikTok has an effect on students’ vocabulary mastery especially in seventh grade.

Applying Ice Cream Stick Media To Improve Grade Eight Students’ Ability In Reading Comprehension Of Descriptive Text At SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar

The research aims to find out the effect of Ice Cream Stick Media to improve students’ ability in reading comprehension of descriptive text at SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar. This research is quantitative research with quasi experimental research design, according to Ary, et al (2010:426) quantitative research is research that gathers numeric data through control procedures and analyses to answer predetermined questions or test hypothesis. The population is the grade eight of SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar with a total of 344 students. The sample of this research is divided into two classes namely experimental class (VIII-7) consist of 30 students that use Ice Cream Stick Media and control class (VIII-6) consist of 30 students that use conventional strategy. The data collection instrument uses a multiple choice for pre-test and post-test. The research finds that the mean of post-test in experimental class is 73.1 and the mean of post-test in control class is 65. After that the researcher find that the ttest is higher than ttable (2.066 > 1.672) at the level significance is 5%. Based on the result finding Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that use Ice Cream Stick Media significantly affects the students’ ability at SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar in reading comprehension of descriptive text.
