The coordinated development of manufacturing industry and logistics industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt: Empirical study by stages based on Haken Model.

It has great significance for improving the logistics service ability of the Yangtze River economic belt, optimizing the industrial structure of manufacturing industry, and realizing the integrated development of the Yangtze River economic belt to explore the collaborative evolution of logistics industry and manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt, and identify the leading position of the collaborative development of the two industries, so as to. Based on the Haken Model, this paper summarizes the coevolution law of logistics industry and manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt through two-stage empirical analysis, and identifies the order parameters of the co-development of logistics industry and manufacturing industry. The results show that the overall degree of coordination between the logistics industry and the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic belt is high. And the order parameter has been changed from manufacturing industry in 2003–2009 to logistics industry in 2010–2017. The gap between regions has been reduced, and the western region has the advantage of post development.

Pemenuhan Pangan Lokal Sebagai Kebutuhan Gizi Bayi Dan Balita Umur 6 -24 Bulan Di Kabupaten Banyumas

One of the risk factors for stunting is lack of nutritional intake in the long term. Toddlers with poor nutritional status have a low immune system which can make them susceptible to infectious diseases. The macro nutrition improvement program is directed at reducing macro nutrition problems, which primarily address the problem of protein energy deficiency. The processing and development of local food ingredients as a source of need to overcome the stunting problem is still not widely carried out by mothers in the Banyumas Regency area.Integrated service post cadres (posyandu) and Family Welfare Development cadres (PKK) are major milestones in public health, especially infants and toddlers through their activities in mobilizing their citizens to utilize local food. So that in this activity the researchers held training for cadres, PKK mothers and mothers of babies and toddlers 6 - 24 months in all areas of Banyumas Regency in local food processing as an effort to handle and prevent nutritional problems in Banyumas Regency.Based on observations that have been made, out of all partners, around 80% of partners are skilled, and independent in implementing the processing of complementary foods made from local breast milk.

Combined foliar application of calcium, zinc, boron and time influence leaf nutrient status, vegetative growth, fruit yield, fruit biochemical and anti-oxidative attributes of “Chandler” strawberry

The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of foliar application of calcium (Ca), Boron (B) and Zinc (Zn) alone and in combination along with different times of application (pre-flowering stage, post fruit development and combined application at both stages) on the plant growth, yield and quality of strawberry fruit. Foliar application of Ca alone and combined with Zn and B were applied. The experiment was arranged under randomized complete block design in split plot arrangement. Irrespective to application time, strawberry plant sprayed with combined application of Ca, Zn and B exhibited significantly increased leaf macro-nutrients (N, P, K, Ca), micro-nutrients (Zn, B, Fe), average fruit weight, yield, fruit size, fruit firmness, significantly higher TSS:TA ratio, ascorbic acid contents, anthocyanin and also antioxidative enzymes activity viz. catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and peroxidase (POD)] than untreated plants. Similarly, spraying at both stages (pre-flowering and post-fruit development) significantly increased number of leaves, fruits, yield and average fruit weight, significantly higher fruit TSS:TA ratio, vitamin C, anthocyanin and also anti-oxidative enzymes viz. CAT, SOD and POD of strawberry fruit. In conclusion combined foliar application of Zn, B and Ca applied at pre-flowering stage and post fruit development significantly improved the vegetative growth, fruit yield, fruit bio-chemical attributes and antioxidative enzymes attributes.

UAE-Pakistan Development Cooperation: A Model for South–South Cooperation in a Multipolar World

ABSTRACT This article examines the UAE-Pakistan relationship in areas related to the UAE’s role as one of Pakistan’s emerging development partners. We examine the ways in which this relationship has evolved and rather than repeating the frequently made argument that the relationship is coloured by a mix of resource imbalances and differences in perception, we argue that both states are poised to play a key role in leveraging each other’s national priorities as part of changing regional dynamics. Looking at this issue via the aid/development sphere offers a unique lens through which to view the changing national interests of both states as served by an alternate and unique model for South–South cooperation. The UAE can engage in low-cost, low-risk, high-impact development assistance as it builds towards a more resource-conscious, region-focused aid policy. And for Pakistan, despite recent differences with the GCC states (including the UAE), a bolstered development relationship with the UAE would contribute to overcoming one of the main critiques highlighted by various post-development theorists – that aid flows into South Asia, and Pakistan in particular, reinforces socio-cultural hegemony of great powers and their dominance of the development space as part of wider securitisation agendas.

PoST: A Process-Oriented Extension of the IEC 61131-3 Structured Text Language

This paper presents the core concepts for the poST language &#x2013; a process-oriented extension of the IEC 61131-3 Structured Text (ST) language which intends to provide a conceptual consistency of the PLC source code with technological description of the plant operating procedure. The poST can be seamlessly used as a textual programming language for complex PLC software in the context of IEC 61131-3 (<inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">$3^{rd}$ </tex-math></inline-formula> Edition). The language combines the advantages of FSM-based programming with the conventional syntax of the ST language which would facilitate its adoption. The poST language assumes that a poST-program is a set of weakly connected concurrent processes, structurally and functionally corresponding to the technological description of the plant. Each process is specified by a sequential set of states. The states are specified by a set of the ST constructs, extended by TIMEOUT operation, SET STATE operation, and START / STOP / check state operations to communicate with other processes. The paper describes the basic syntax of the poST language, demonstrates the usage of the poST language by developing control software for an elevator, and compares the development in poST with pure Structured Text.

P-OGC05 The introduction of an Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) specific menu can reduce the need for routine jejunostomy (JEJ) placement following UGI Cancer resection

Abstract Background Despite the fact that early oral feeding (EOF) after the surgical resection of oesophageal and gastric tumours is safe, and is associated with favourable early in-hospital outcomes, sooner return to physiological GI function and hospital discharge, there can still be some reluctance in establishing EOF. Concerns remain around risk of anastomotic leak, pneumonia, Naso-gastric tube (NGT) reinsertion, re-operation, readmissions and mortality. However, when utilising EOF, a reduction in length of stay, earlier removal of NGT and earlier initiation of soft diet can be observed. JEJ placement is beneficial however complications can arise and the optimal nutritional pathway remains debatable. Methods Patient satisfaction surveys were conducted amongst UGI Cancer patients following Cancer resection and analysed pre and post UGI menu development and staff training. Expert UGI Patient volunteers assisted in the UGI menu development through food tastings producing a new menu in collaboration with the catering department. The new menu was launched and an UGI snack box provided to the UGI Enhanced Recovery Unit (ERAS). Oral intake of Diet and Oral Nutritional Support was analysed for calorie and protein content post menu change, ward staff training and specialist UGI dietetic counselling. This was then compared with calculated minimum estimated nutritional requirements. Results Of the ten patients audited pre discharge: Remaining 1 patient achieved 51% of protein requirements, below the aim of 60%. No patient audited required supplementary Enteral feeding via JEJ or Naso-jejunal tube Patient satisfaction surveys were completed prior to catering staff training and menu revision, after the new menu was implemented. The results show a significant improvement in patient satisfaction following UGI menu implementation. Conclusions Specialist UGI RD support, UGI specific menu and Oral Nutritional Support can reduce the need for routine JEJ placement in favour of on an individual patient basis. Collaborative working between UGI Dietitians, Ward staff, Catering staff and Expert patients is required for UGI specific menu development to be effectual. This audit is limited to small numbers due to adapted operational procedures during the pandemic. This audit will be repeated on a larger scale to yield more meaningful data. Future audit will capture data on how many UGI patients went on to require enteral nutritional support with three months of discharge.

DENSITY CHALLENGES OF HIGH-RISE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN MALAYSIA

Although the term ‘urbanisation’ was first coined in the 19th century, the phenomenon experienced a significant impact and received a lot of attention in the 21st century. One of the major results is density, causing effects such as excessive demand for residential buildings. To cope with the increasing urban population and limited land availability, cities can no longer opt for horizontal development strategies. Going vertical seems a practical solution, but it can lead to convoluted problems if it is not done with proper planning and mitigation measures at the preliminary stages of planning. This article describes the challenges of residential planning density for high-rise development in Malaysia using a systematic literature review on three identified real cases which separated by pre-development, post-development, and development control. The findings show the major challenges in pre-development and post development related to dissatisfaction with the increasing numbers of high-rise residences due to the increase in population and residential density. As a strategic development control, there must be uniformity in the act or law to control the development of this highrise residential. Thus, this article led to a better understanding of density related to high-rise residential development in Malaysia.

Public mental health: a psychiatry and public health perspective.

Mental health issues are fast becoming one of society's greatest health challenges with evidence of higher levels of illness and strain on psychiatric services. The reasons for this trend of increasing mental health problems across the population are complex and there is an urgent need to research and deliver effective public mental health strategies. In this perspective piece we argue that psychiatrists and public health physicians have unique knowledge and perspectives on population mental health. The development of interdisciplinary initiatives and training posts would result in clinicians with expertise to drive forward public mental health strategies. Focused and sustained advocacy and collaboration are necessary for prioritisation of public mental health on policymakers' agendas.

Bio-Inspired Computing-A Dive into Critical Problems, Potential Architecture and Techniques

The integration and development of electronics in the recent years have impacted a major development on the world and humans, one among that is nanotechnology. Nanotechnology has achieved a greater progress in biomedical engineering in diagnosis and treatment, leading to the introduction of nanomaterials for drug delivery, prostheses and implanting. This work describes the Bio-Nano-tools that are developed based on iron oxide properties, automated tools used in the tumor detection, satin bowerbird optimization (SBO) technique employed in diagnosis of skin cancer. This work also highlights the post introduction development of nanomaterials like combination of nanotechnology with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact, advancement of nanomaterials based on their operations, shapes and characteristics that leading to the growth of nanostructures with operations control properties. The paper also highlights the improvement of silicon neuromorphic photonic processors and parallel simulators in the development of bio inspired computing. We are hopeful that this review article provides future directions in Bio-Inspired Computing.&#x0D; HIGHLIGHTS&#x0D; &#x0D; In processing of medical images, noise plays a challenging role. So, reduction of noise is important, with the data that is analyzed in our review, it is shown that noise reduction can be achieved using Gradient and Feature Adaptive Contour (GFAC) model, with effective results&#x0D; There are many algorithms that are used for skin cancer detection, as highlighted in our review. Amongst all the methods, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm shows impressive results when compared to other models in terms of feature extraction in dermoscopy images&#x0D; Satin bowerbird optimization (SBO) algorithm helps in improving the CNN efficiency. The optimal justification of the hyper parameter numbers in convolutional neural network (CNN) for skin cancer diagnosis can be achieved using an SBO algorithm&#x0D;

STUDY IN THE EPIDEMIOLOGY OF SARCOCYSTOSIS SARCOCYSTIS CAMELI IN CAMELS IN AI-QADISIYAH PROVINCE

The aim of study was to investigate the prevalence of macroscopic and microscopic sarcocystosis of 312 camels slaughtered in Al-Qadisiyah province abattoirs. The developmental stages were studied in experimentally infected dogs with Sarcocystis cameli. For macroscopic sarcocystis naked eye examination was done while for microscopic type, the methods were employed (peptic muscular digestion, trichinoscopy, squeezing and histological examination) for the detection of infection in esophagus, heart, diaphragm and skeletal muscles. The percentage prevalence of macroscopic cysts were first recorded (0.64%) among the different organs examined. The rate of microscopic infection was (83.3%) in peptic digestion method followed by squeezing and trichinoscopy were 78.47 % and 58% respectively The highest rate of infection was recorded in the esophagus and the lowest in the heart. Histological examination revealed two different morphological cysts, the first one with thin wall and the other thick striated wall. The pre patent periods were 8-9 and 10-12day respectively, each infected dog-shed total about 32 * 10* sporocysts per gram of faeces. The peak of shedding reached 326*10* sarocystis per gram of faeces day12 post infection histological development stages of the parasite were detected in the small intestine mucosa of dog in days 6 and 12 post infection.

Endocrine response of early-hatching Asian Short-toed Lark nestlings exposed to cold temperature in a high-latitude grassland habitat

BackgroundIn high latitude grassland habitats, altricial nestlings hatching in open-cup nests early in the breeding season must cope with cold temperature challenges. Thyroid hormones (triiodothyronine, T3 and thyroxine, T4) and corticosterone play a crucial role in avian thermoregulation response to cold. Investigating the endocrine response of altricial nestlings to temperature variation is important for understanding the adaptive mechanisms of individual variation in the timing of breeding in birds.MethodsWe compared nest temperature, ambient temperature, body temperature, plasma T3, T4 and corticosterone levels in Asian Short-toed Lark (Alaudala cheleensis) nestlings hatching in the early-, middle-, and late-stages of the breeding season in Hulunbuir grassland, northeast China.ResultsMean nest temperature in the early-, middle- and late-stage groups was − 1.85, 3.81 and 10.23 °C, respectively, for the 3-day-old nestlings, and 6.83, 10.41 and 11.81 °C, respectively, for the 6-day-old nestlings. The nest temperature significantly correlated with body temperature, plasma T3, T4 and corticosterone concentrations of nestlings. Body temperature of 3-day-old nestlings in the early and middle groups was significantly lower than that of the late group, but there was no significant difference between the nestlings in the early and middle groups. The T4 and T3 concentrations and the ratio of T3/T4 of both 3- and 6-day-old nestlings in the early-stage group were significantly higher compared to the middle and late groups. The corticosterone levels of 3-day-old nestlings were significantly higher in the early-stage group compared to the middle- and late-stage groups.ConclusionNestlings hatching early responded to cold temperature by increasing thyroid hormones and corticosterone levels even in the early days of post hatching development when the endothermy has not been established. These hormones may play a physiological role in neonatal nestlings coping with cold temperature challenges.

Socially responsible investment (SRI) Sukuk as a financing alternative for post COVID-19 development project

PurposeCOVID-19 has disrupted the economic development of both advanced and emerging markets. In addition to the stimulus packages to adjust the economic shock from COVID-19, regulators around the world are searching for innovative mechanisms to rebuild the economy. The purpose of this paper is to explore the potential of SRI Sukuk to serve as an Islamic social finance solution for development projects to mitigate the adverse economic effects of COVID-19.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses a mixed-method research framework. The authors use a systematic literature review following the recommendations of Bowen (2009) to identify critical challenges financing PPP projects using SRI Sukuk. In the next phase, the authors interview participants involved in an SRI Sukuk financed PPP project to get more significant insights on the challenges identified through the literature review process.FindingsThe authors identify the need for greater transparency for SRI financed PPP projects. Also, organisational and legislative challenges are limiting the attractiveness of SRI Sukuk as a financing mechanisms for post-COVID development projects.Practical implicationsSRI Sukuk is an emerging financing concept, and the use of such an Islamic financial instrument in financing development projects can serve as a viable alternative for policymakers in a post-COVID economic environment.Social implicationsThe successful completion of the development projects integrating the concept of Social Maslahah through SRI Sukuk in Malaysia could encourage other emerging economies to use such innovative Islamic financial instrument for economic development in post-COVID environment.Originality/valueThis paper is unique, as it provides evidence on the potential of SRI Sukuk to finance large scale public-private partnership projects.

Cellular and molecular characterizations of the irregular internode division zone formation of a slow-growing bamboo variant.

The key molecular mechanisms underlying the sectionalized growth within bamboo or other grass internodes remain largely unknown. Here, we genetically and morphologically compared the culm and rhizome internode division zones (DZs) of a slow-growing bamboo variant (sgv) having dwarf internodes, with those of the corresponding wild type (WT). Histological analysis discovers that the sgv has an irregular internode DZ. However, the shoot apical meristems in height, width, outside shape, cell number and cell width of the sgv and the WT were all similar. The DZ irregularities first appeared post apical meristem development, in 1-mm sgv rhizome internodes. Thus, the sgv is a DZ irregularity bamboo variant, which has been first reported in bamboo according to our investigation. Transcriptome sequencing analysis finds that a number of cell wall biogenesis and cell division-related genes are dramatically downregulated in the sgv DZ. Interestingly, both transcriptomic and brassinosteroid (BR) contents detection, as well as quantitative real-time PCR analyses show that these irregularities have resulted from the BR signaling pathway defects. Brassinosteroid defect might also cause the erect leaves and branches as well as the irregular epidermis of the sgv. These results suggest that BR signaling pathway plays critical roles in bamboo internode DZ and leaf development from a mutant perspective and also explain the upstream mechanisms causing the dwarf internode of the sgv bamboo.

Education and economic growth variations: Implications for post COVID-19 sustainable development recovery strategy in low-income countries

No country is like any other, therefore it is vital to ascertain factors explaining the differences in education and economic growth among and within the low-income countries. The main question is why are there variations in countries? The answers to this question has the potential to provide insights for designing and implementing post Corona virus infectious disease-19 (COVID-19) recovery strategies aimed at promoting inclusive sustainable development. Prior COVID-19 Sub Saharan Africa region contained the largest number of low income countries with low economic growth and lower access to education. An understanding of factors that explain the variations that existed before the COVID-19 should be considered developing recovering strategies. The study used a panel data summary statistics of education and economic growth dataset from the year 2000 to 2018 from 15 low income countries in Sub Saharan African to examine factors that explain the variations in education and economic growth patterns in those countries. The findings reflected that within individual countries rather than between countries variations explain the differences in education and economic growth. The findings led to the conclusion that education and economic growth variation trends observed in Sub Saharan Africa for the past 19 years are explained by variations overtime and not by time invariant factors between countries. Drawing on the observed trends overtime the implications for post COVID-19 sustainable development recovery strategy formulation are presented in this study.

Covering Norway spruce container seedlings with reflective shading cloth during field storage affects seedling post-planting growth

The field storage of container seedlings is often a necessity after the seedlings have been transported from nurseries close to the regeneration area. Suboptimal storage conditions can lead to reduced growth or even seedling mortality. Supporting favourable conditions for the seedlings during storage requires labour, especially for the watering of seedlings, and therefore increases the costs of forest regeneration. In this study, we examined the effects of covering Norway spruce container seedlings with a reflective shading cloth and neglecting the watering during field storage. This was done by measuring the drying of the seedlings during field storage, the rooting of the seedlings when planting, and the subsequent survival and performance in the field two and three growing seasons after planting. The study comprised one-year-old Norway spruce container seedlings covered with reflective shading cloth and seedlings with no cover (subject to rainfall) in 2012 and 2013; additionally, in 2013, replicates from both treatments were stored in conditions where rainfall was impeded. The stem water potential was measured, a rooting test was carried out, and the seedlings were planted in the test field weekly over 42 days of field storage without watering. As a novel finding, the results indicate that covering the seedlings with a reflective shading cloth during the field storage increased the risk of grey mould in summer storage and led to negative effects regarding post planting seedling development. The application of a shading cloth directly on the seedlings cannot be recommended to prolong the watering intervals during field storage in the current climatic conditions in Southern Finland, where the risk of grey mould is high.

Environmental Sustainability in the context of China`s international trade Development

Introduction. International trade is closely related to environmental sustainable development, while promoting trade growth and environmental sustainable development are also the goals pursued by mankind. China's environmental sustainability is affected by both severe shortages of natural resources and severe environmental pollution. In addition, growing populations and rapid economic growth, as well as weak environmental controls, have increased demand for natural resources and affected their pollution. In the past year, in conditions of the complex international situation and the severe impact of COVID-19 pandemic, China’s foreign trade imports and exports have been significantly better than expected, and the scale of foreign trade has once again set a record high. However, how to ensure the growth of international trade while ensuring environmental protection? Sustainable development is one of the problems that the Chinese government needs to solve.Methods. The methodological basis of the study is a set of fundamental provisions of crisis theory, international trade theory, theory of foreign trade of national ecological and economic systems, as well as modern concepts of post pandemic development. The solution of the set tasks was carried out by using a set of general scientific research methods: analysis of scientific literature, method of analogy and comparison, theoretical synthesis, classification, methodological generalization, economic and statistical analysis, expert assessments and scientific abstraction. The authors use the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the General Administration of Customs, Baidu academic papers, and relevant documents in the CNKI database as data sources.The purpose of research – to prove the environmental sustainability in the context of China’s international trade development.Results. The research proved the environmental sustainability in the context of China’s international trade development. The research substantiates environmental sustainability in the context of China's international trade development. Related factors of international trade in the context of environmental sustainability have been identified. The formation of modern international trade in the conditions of changing the ecological environment of China is analyzed. Countermeasures on environmental sustainability in the context of China's growing international trade are proposed. Through the summary of research, it is found out the relevance and causality between trade and the environment, analyze and study the changes in relevant data, and summarize the main imbalances in the process of China's response to international trade and environmental sustainable development, so as to put forward corresponding problems in response to these issues solution.Prospects. The results of the research discover the environmental sustainability in the context of China's international trade. The prospect of further research is to apply the impact of the China's international trade development on its environmental sustainability for the development of domestic foreign trade policy.

Development of Lung Function in Preterm Infants During the First Two Years of Life

IntroductionIt remains unclear if prematurity itself can influence post delivery lung development and particularly, the bronchial size. AimTo assess lung function during the first two years of life in healthy preterm infants and compare the measurements to those obtained in healthy term infants during the same time period. MethodsThis observational longitudinal study assessed lung function in 74 preterm (30+0 to 35+6 weeks’ gestational age) and 76 healthy term control infants who were recruited between 2011 and 2013. Measurements of tidal breathing, passive respiratory mechanics, tidal and raised volume forced expirations (V’maxFRC and FEF25–75, respectively) were undertaken following administration of oral chloral hydrate sedation according to ATS/ERS recommendations at 6- and 18-months corrected age. ResultsLung function measurements were obtained from the preterm infants and full term controls initially at 6 months of age. Preterm infants had lower absolute and adjusted values (for gestational age, postnatal age, sex, body size, and confounding factors) for respiratory compliance and V’maxFRC. At 18 months corrected postnatal age, similar measurements were repeated in 57 preterm infants and 61 term controls. A catch-up in tidal volume, respiratory mechanics parameters, FEV0.5 and forced expiratory flows was seen in preterm infants. ConclusionWhen compared with term controls, the lower forced expiratory flows observed in the healthy preterm group at 6 months was no longer evident at 18 months corrected age, suggesting a catch-up growth of airway function.

River flows affect the growth of a tropical finfish in the wet-dry rivers of northern Australia, with implications for water resource development

Freshwater is a critical input to estuaries but is under increasing demand to support upstream human activities. In this study, otolith biochronology was used to quantify the relationship between river discharge and juvenile growth rates of barramundi (Lates calcarifer) in three regions of the Gulf of Carpentaria in northern Australia. In all regions, river discharge had a strong positive effect on juvenile growth rates. Models were also developed which incorporated the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) and the Madden–Julian Oscillation (MJO). SOI values corresponding to La Niña events had strong positive consequences for juvenile barramundi growth rates in all regions, and the intensity of positive wet season MJO pulses had a strong positive effect on growth rates in the perennially flowing river, but not the intermittently flowing rivers. The consequences of three hypothetical water development scenarios were estimated for the perennial river. The model predicted a 12%, 8% and 1% reduction in annual barramundi growth rates under proposed scenarios for 18%, 8%, and 3% reduction in river discharge, respectively. Fish growth is a robust, quantitative metric that can be monitored pre and post water resource development to identify the least impactful development scenario and monitor its compliance and success through time.

Health Systems Strengthening in Post Conflict Reconstruction: Reflection on Uganda

This article attempted to define health, health care and health systems and further discussed health reconstruction approaches and why it is important, particularly in post war situations and more specifically in the context of the post war health system development and strengthening in Uganda. In a bid to interrogate to what extent women’s health and gender perspectives have been integrated in post conflict reconstruction in Uganda, this article further adopted a gender lens to examine the health sector plans in Uganda.

Beyond Internationalization

Despite the critiques generated in critical internationalization studies in response to the neoliberal and neocolonial orientation of internationalization of higher education, the direction of internationalization appears to be unchanged. This paper takes up the challenge of imagining internationalization otherwise by drawing from the field of post-development (PD) studies, which, it is argued, has parallels to the realities and debates on internationalization. An overview of the debates in PD and why they offer important ideas for critical internationalization studies will be followed by a discussion of how key analyses and arguments in PD can be applied to internationalization. This argument leads to the question of whether it is time to recognize an emerging post-internationalization movement, acknowledging that internationalization as we know it is in decline.
