An Exploration of Innovation of Social Practice Model of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities

Promoting the innovation and reform of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities with a social practice model is not only the basic requirement for colleges and universities to do a good job in the teaching of ideological and political courses in the new era but also the internal requirement for deepening the reform of ideological and political education in the new era and implementing the fundamental task of “cultivating morality and cultivating people.” At the same time, innovating the social practice mode of ideological and political course is helpful to solve the problems existing in ideological and political education in the past, and integrate the core connotation and spiritual concept of ideological and political education into the ideological life of college students. Based on this, this paper analyzes the basic mode of social practice of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities, and elaborates the direction and strategy of innovative social practice mode of ideological and political courses, to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political courses and promote the sustainable development of ideological and political education.

The Three Main Logic of the Reform of Catering Major in Higher Vocational Colleges Integrating Curriculum Ideological and Political Education under the Perspective of Industry-University-Research Collaborative Education

In the context of the deepening of vocational education reform and integration of industry and education in the new era, the ideological and political construction of catering courses in higher vocational colleges has become an important path to improve the quality of education and cultivate compound talents. This paper takes the significance of the reform of catering majors in higher vocational colleges that integrates ideological and political courses as the starting point. This paper discusses the problems of the disconnection between ideological and political education and professional education, the lack of a school-enterprise cooperation practice platform, and the urgent need to improve the teaching staff in the current ideological and political course construction. This paper proposes strategies such as strengthening the integration of ideological and political education and professional education, deepening the construction of the practice platform of integration of industry and education, and strengthening teacher training and teaching staff construction, which provides some references for promoting the comprehensive development of catering majors in higher vocational colleges in China.

Research on the Construction of Practical Teaching Base for Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities Based on Information Technology

The rapid development of information technology provides new opportunities for practical teaching. The research on the construction of practical teaching bases for ideological and political courses in universities based on information technology aims to explore how information technology can facilitate the optimization and upgrading of these bases, thereby enhancing the teaching effectiveness of ideological and political courses. Through literature review, empirical research, and case analysis, this study delves into the innovative applications of information technology in the construction of practical teaching bases for ideological and political courses. Information technology not only enriches teaching content but also stimulates students' learning interest through interactive and situational teaching modes, enhancing effective communication between teachers and students. It promotes the integration and sharing of teaching resources and improves the management efficiency of practical teaching. However, the research also uncovers issues such as technical barriers and uneven resource allocation in the application process of information technology. To address these issues, this study proposes a series of improvement strategies, including strengthening technical training, optimizing resource allocation, and innovating teaching modes, with the aim of providing practical guidance for the construction of practical teaching bases for ideological and political courses in universities. Future research can further explore the diversified applications of information technology in the practical teaching of ideological and political courses to continuously improve teaching quality and effectiveness.

Challenges and Opportunities Faced by Contemporary Environmental Art Design Teaching Strategies

This article explores the importance and implementation strategies of comprehensive educational reform in ideological and political theory courses in universities. The article point south at comprehensive education reform is not only an inevitable requirement to adapt to the development needs of the new era, but also a key to improving the quality of ideological and political education, promoting the development of the teacher team, and building a discourse system for ideological and political education with Chinese characteristics. Faced with challenges such as globalization and informatization, ideological and political courses need to update their teaching content, introduce current hot topics, strengthen practical teaching, adopt diversified teaching methods, and fully utilize modern information technology. Exploration of Blended Teaching Mode for Ideological and Political Courses in Universities

In the era of “Internet plus,” the hybrid teaching model has injected new vitality into the reform of ideological and political education in colleges and universities, promoted the connection between online and offline teaching, built an air cloud classroom, promoted the sharing of high-quality educational resources, and enabled the reform of ideological and political education, which is conducive to stimulating students’ interest in learning ideological and political courses and improving the quality of ideological and political education. College ideological and political education teachers should actively learn the concept of blended learning, create micro lessons based on teaching content, introduce current political news, and use micro lessons to guide students’ pre-class preparation. Universities can carry out online live teaching, conduct interactive sessions, group discussions, and online testing to improve the quality of online teaching, collect online teaching data, conduct precise offline teaching, and optimize the connection between in-class and out-of-class teaching, utilizing big data to conduct teaching evaluation, collect student teaching suggestions, and comprehensively improve the quality of blended learning in ideological and political courses.

Репрессивные практики противоборствующих сторон в Кабарде в период российской революции (1917–1920 гг.)

This article investigates the issues surrounding the application of repressive practices in Kabarda during the period of the revolution and the civil war from 1917 to 1920. It examines the factors that led to a transition toward violence among the opposing factions and the nature of its escalation. It is emphasized that the political actors who came to power primarily sought to eliminate their opponents, represented by the previous ruling elite, and subsequently targeted broad segments of the population as public protest activity and resistance to the prevailing political course increased. The article also elucidates the forms of repressive practices employed during this tumultuous period. The most severe of these was the physical elimination of political adversaries, a tactic utilized by both sides in the civil conflict within the region. Arrest and incarceration were also frequently employed. Other forms of repression, predominantly exercised by the Bolshevik regime, included the disenfranchisement of individuals, conscription for forced labor, and confiscation of property.

From Global to Local: Service-Learning in a Comparative Politics Course

Students enrolled in introductory general education courses in Political Science are often uninterested in and unfamiliar with the subject matter and do not see its relevance to their lives. Hoping to overcome these obstacles, I implemented service-learning into my introductory Comparative Politics course. In order to do this, I partnered with local nonprofits and government agencies working on topics relevant to the course content. Students then selected one of these partners to work with throughout the semester. The goal was for them to not only see how the course subject matter might apply in their own lives but specifically how the global issues we learn about in our course apply in our local area. Students were surveyed at the beginning and end of the semester and wrote multiple reflection papers regarding their experiences. They generally reported high levels of satisfaction with the service-learning approach as well as understanding of the importance of civic and community engagement.

Research on the Ideological and Political Design and Implementation Path of Physical Education Courses in Colleges and Universities under the Background of the Construction of "Four New" Majors

This article takes the design and implementation of college physical education courses under the background of the "four new" construction as the perspective, is oriented towards the talent needs of new technologies, new business forms, new models, and new industries, and takes the education paradigm of "learning-centered" as the concept to construct a new model of ideological and political design and implementation of physical education courses in colleges and universities, and systematically proposes the mechanism system for the ideological and political design and implementation of physical education courses in colleges and universities. By using methods such as literature review and dialectical reasoning, it conducts a systematic study on the key teaching problems existing in the construction process of ideological and political demonstration courses for physical education courses. The research holds that there are problems in the construction of ideological and political demonstration courses for physical education courses in aspects such as the evaluation of curriculum goal attainment, the support of ideological and political resources for courses, the embedded integration of teaching models, and the adaptation and innovation of teaching methods. Comprehensively promoting the construction of ideological and political courses is to guide values into knowledge imparting and ability cultivation, and help students shape correct worldviews, outlooks on life, and values. The implementation of ideological and political education in physical education courses helps students achieve comprehensive development in addition to improving physical skills, so as to better adapt to social development. When implementing ideological and political education in physical education courses, it is necessary to highlight the characteristics of the courses, integrate ideological and political elements, clarify the design of teaching elements, optimize the combination of teaching models, and make good use of the evaluation of teaching effects.

Replicating “Language Matters”: Taking Baselines into Account

Abstract This study evaluates the visibility of French-speaking scholars in Canadian political science by analyzing the reading materials assigned in Canadian politics courses. Extending Daoust et al.'s (2022) research, we establish a baseline for their calculations and build an original dataset gathered from all political science departments’ websites and Google Scholar. Our analysis based on three assumptions about the expected academic representation of francophones—Canada's linguistic composition, the makeup of political science departments and faculty members’ productivity—reveals a discrepancy favouring anglophone scholars by up to four percentage points. Our findings extend Daoust et al.'s (2022) contribution by highlighting a similar language-based bias in overall citation practices among Canadian scholars, with French-speaking authors being significantly under-cited compared to their English-speaking counterparts despite demonstrating higher levels of overall productivity. Implications for the future of the discipline are also discussed.

This paper focuses on the ideological and political construction of the course “Comprehensive Practical Training of Prefabricated Building Construction” and deeply discusses its exploration and practice process. By building an ideological and political teaching system in line with the characteristics of “Comprehensive Training of Prefabricated Building Construction,” ideological and political elements such as industry spirit, professional ethics, and social responsibility are organically integrated into all links of practical training and teaching. In terms of teaching methods, various innovative means such as case analysis, role-playing, and group discussion are adopted, and modern information technologies such as virtual reality and augmented reality are used to improve the teaching effect. At the same time, a diversified teaching evaluation system is formulated to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of ideological and political education. This study not only enriches the theoretical research of ideological and political courses but also provides a practical reference for the ideological and political construction of similar courses, which is of great significance for promoting the overall improvement of the quality of talent training in higher education.

This article offers a comprehensive analysis of Western media coverage of the Hungarian government's political course under Viktor Orban and the FIDESZ-KDNP coalition from 2010 to 2024. The study encompasses a wide range of aspects of Hungary's domestic and foreign policy, tracing the evolution of "Orbanism" perception in international media discourse. The author examines in detail the key themes that dominated Western media regarding Hungary, namely: The transformation of the country's democratic system and discussions around the concept of "illiberal democracy". Systematic conflicts between Hungary and the European Union, especially on issues of rule of law and democratic values. Hungary's strict migration policy and its impact on European policy in this area. Economic reforms known as "Orbanomics" and their controversial perception in the international arena. Changes in Hungary's media landscape and discussions about press freedom. Hungary's foreign policy course, including its relations with Russia, China, the USA, and neighboring countries. Special attention is paid to the impact of the Hungarian governance model on regional politics in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as its perception by right-wing and conservative movements in Europe and the USA. The article also examines the dynamics of Hungary's relations with the EU and NATO, particularly in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine and Hungary's position on this conflict. The research is based on a wide range of Western media sources, including leading newspapers, magazines, television channels, and online publications. The author traces changes in the tone and focus of coverage of Hungarian politics during the specified period, identifying key trends and turning points in the international perception of Hungary. The article also examines Western media's reaction to Hungary's presidency of the Council of the European Union. The author summarizes the main trends in Western media coverage of Hungarian politics and assesses their impact on Hungary's international reputation and its relations with key partners.

Artificial Intelligence Empowering the Innovation of Ideological and Political Course Teaching Models in Universities

With the rapid development of information technology, AI has permeated education, showing great potential in innovating teaching models. Ideological and Political Courses in universities face challenges like a disconnect between content and student needs, low interaction, and poor engagement, requiring urgent reforms. This study explores AI-enabled approaches such as personalized teaching, intelligent assessment, and VR/AR technologies. It demonstrates that AI can enhance interaction, improve learning experiences, and support teaching quality. Despite challenges like ethics and data privacy, AI’s continued evolution will lead to broader applications, deeper integration, and new momentum for teaching model improvements in these courses.

Synergy between “Ideological and Political Courses” and “Courses with Ideological-political Elements” in Private Colleges and Universities Path Study

The synergistic development of ideological and political courses and courses with ideological-political elements in colleges and universities is the basis for constructing the pattern of “Great Ideology and Politics” and realizing the “Three-Whole Parenting”. However, private colleges and universities are still facing various challenges in building a synergistic path between ideological and political courses and courses with ideological-political elements. In-depth exploration of the practical dilemmas and solution paths will help to eliminate the ideological misunderstandings between the two, and effectively enhance the effectiveness of the synergistic cultivation of students by ideological and political courses and courses with ideological-political elements.

Феномен релокации (Модели экономического поведения российских мигрантов после февраля 2022 г.)

The events of February 2022 became the starting point of a new wave of Russian emigration. On the one hand, this phenomenon can be considered within a series of previous migration waves, on the other hand, the modern context leaves its imprint on the current migration process, making it very special from the economic and sociocultural perspectives. The article presents an attempt to analyze this specificity with an emphasis on the characteristics of the economic behavior of emigrants. Empirically, the study is based on a series of in-depth interviews with people who left Russia after February 2022. On the basis of these interviews, the authors built idealized cognitive models of possible options for the economic behavior of migrants. The authors considered a total of four models: relocation, which involves searching for a job in the host country; relocation, which involves remote work for a Russian company; relocation, which involves creating or moving one’s own business; relocation to a branch of a Russian company. Since the economic strategies of migrants are influenced by signals broadcast by the Russian government structures, the article analyzed the statements of representatives of these structures using the method of network cognitive mapping, which made it possible to reveal two types of official discourse in relation to those who left Russia, which differed in the extent of their criticism towards them. In general, the study showed that migrants of the latest wave are internally heterogeneous and fall into several groups that differ markedly in their motivation and patterns of economic behavior. At the same time, a significant part of them continues to cooperate with Russia in one way or another and, in principle, is ready to return to Russia. For them, migration is driven largely by security and/or economic reasons. Only a minority of emigrants left the country due to their disagreement with the current political course and consider the possibility of coming back only if the political course changes radically.

Преодоление последствий глобализации на примере взаимодействия государства и Русской Православной Церкви в информационной сфере

Introduction. The article considers the problem of overcoming the consequences of globalization in the context of informatization of society using the example of interaction between the state and the Russian Orthodox Church in the information sphere. The following methods were used in the study: system analysis, philosophical analysis, interpretation, comparison and synthesis. Theoretical analysis. The State and the Church, as active users of the information resources and technologies available today, have a significant impact on their development. Many hierarchs and laypeople, adhering to “protective” views, represented by an established political course, continue to participate in the media sphere. The participation of the Church and the state makes it possible to maintain political stability in the country. It is pointed out that, on the one hand, the spiritual and moral crisis of modern society is caused by informatization as one of the conditions for its development, but on the other hand, informatization permeates all areas of life and activity, both of the Church and the state, to such extent that neglecting its resources is impossible today. Conclusion. The characteristic features of the Church and the state which, with the help of information resources and technologies, are trying to resist the negative consequences of globalization and Westernization, are highlighted and described. The ways of solving these problems are outlined. It is emphasized that the hierarchy of the Russian Orthodox Church and the state authorities are interested in consolidating efforts aimed at resolving the numerous social contradictions that exist in the information space today.

Constitution development cyclicity and factors that influence it

The article is dedicated to the study of certain aspects of the constitution development cyclicity and the factors that influence such cyclicity. The author emphasizes that the state, society and the constitution are in constant interconnection with each other, and therefore formation of cyclicity of constitution development is inseparable from other legal phenomena. It was found that cyclicity is characterized by stability (invariability of the stages (phases) forming cyclicity of constitution development) and survivability (dynamics that forms the constitution’s ability to adapt to new challenges and tasks arising in society). The author draws attention to both actual and legal constitutions. It was established that: a) actual and legal constitutions are indeed independent juridical phenomena, however, they interact with each other and that is manifested in the aspect that de facto relations which influence emergence of an actual constitution contribute to changes of a legal constitution; b) the factors under which de facto relations are formed in the state serve as prerequisites for beginning, development or termination of the stages of adoption, reform and invalidation of the constitution. The author specifies that, since the constitution functions within the political organization of society, all factors relating to cyclicity of its development in relation to the state can be divided into internal factors arising in the state (social, cultural, economic, political, etc.) and foreign policy factors (adoption of international acts, unilateral acts of other states, etc.) which influence determination of a political course and orientation of the state and contribute to dynamism of the constitution’s life cycle. The author gives an example of an internal (political) factor influencing cyclicity of the constitution development – a choice of a new vector of Ukraine’s policy towards membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization that resulted in introduction of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in 2019. The other example given is associated with a foreign policy factor – constitutional changes in Germany in 2022 aimed at increasing the budget expenditures of the state for its army’s defense capability because of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Research on the Value of Integrating Integrity Culture into the Teaching of Ideological and Political Courses in Colleges and Universities

In the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out the need to strengthen the construction of a clean and honest culture in the new era, educate and guide party members and cadres to enhance their consciousness of not wanting corruption, and to be honest and clean in their conduct and work.[1]As an important place for cultural inheritance and development, universities shoulder the glorious mission of cultivating talents for the Party and the country, and are an important battlefield for promoting the construction of Party conduct and clean governance. Strengthening the research on the rich ideological connotation and positive value of clean culture in universities has important theoretical and practical significance for absorbing the essence of clean culture, further developing and utilizing its modern cultural theoretical value. The integration of a culture of integrity into universities and the teaching of ideological and political courses is an important measure for universities to lead campus culture, and it is also a necessary path to promote the optimization and construction of a culture of integrity in universities. Especially at present, universities must steadfastly promote the construction of Party conduct and clean governance, as well as the fight against corruption, and strive to "build universities into model places of stability and unity." [2] Strengthening the integration of clean culture into the teaching of ideological and political courses in universities is conducive to cultivating students' integrity and self-discipline, inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture, and creating and promoting a good trend of advocating integrity and resisting corruption. It is also a powerful driving force for promoting the construction of a clean campus, which requires long-term efforts and unremitting efforts.

The Path of Integrating Red Culture into Party Construction in Colleges and Universities in the Digital Age

The current digital transformation has become a global trend, and the Party building in colleges and universities is facing new opportunities and challenges in the digital age. Starting from the significance of the integration of red culture into the Party building work in colleges and universities in the digital age, this paper aims at solving the problems faced by the Party building work in colleges and universities, such as the lack of understanding and cognition of red culture among grass-roots student Party members, the lack of ways and means of integrating red culture into Party building system and brand characteristics. This paper puts forward some measures, such as strengthening the propaganda and learning of red culture at the grass-roots level, innovating the way of integrating red culture, establishing and perfecting the digital party building work system, and strengthening the construction of ideological and political course teachers, which provide some reference and guidance for the integration of party building work and red culture in colleges and universities in the digital era.

Exploration of Strategies for Applying Life Based Teaching in High School Political Courses

Since the promulgation and implementation of the "General High School Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards" (2017 edition, revised in 2020) (hereinafter referred to as the "Curriculum Standards"), the combination of education and life has become one of the requirements of the curriculum standards. Life oriented teaching has been increasingly valued, promoting the concept of teaching from life to life, which is conducive to students mastering real ideological and political knowledge and establishing the concept of applying what they have learned. Therefore, it is necessary and feasible to use life oriented teaching in high school politics classes. Exploring life oriented teaching strategies for high school political courses can start from four aspects: updating teachers' educational concepts, using life oriented case materials, creating activity-based classrooms with a life oriented atmosphere, and pursuing life oriented teaching evaluations. This will promote students' comprehensive development and individual socialization, and strengthen their correct understanding of the importance of high school political courses.
