It is our great pleasure to welcome you to 2019 International Conference on Smart Power & Internet Energy Systems (SPIES 2019) which was held in 25-27 April 2019 Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. SPIES 2019 is one of the principal events for power and energy experts from academia, industry, utilities, power and energy service providers, researchers and scientists.SPIES 2019 is supported in Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. It is a timely event to share views on energy transformation and discuss these with power and energy leaders from Poland, France, China, Thailand, Canada, Japan, Australia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal and Rwanda. The theme of this year’s conference is “IOT Enable Energy System for the Future” and including keynote and plenary speeches, tutorials, papers and poster presentations.The conference chair Prof. Aman Maung Than Oo from Deakin University, Australia opening for the conference. Prof. Grahame Holmes from RMIT University in Australia, Prof. Innocent Kamwa from Hydro-Quebec Research Institute in Canada, Mr. Jean Bélanger from OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES in Canada, Prof. Mohamed El Hachemi Benbouzid from University of Brest in France, Prof. Tyrone Fernando from University of Western Australia in Australia, and Prof. S.M. Muyeen from Curtin University in Australia have attended the conference as keynote speakers and delivered keynote speeches regarding latest information in their respective areas of expertise.There were six sessions of oral presentation and one poster session with the relative topics: Renewable Energy; Distributed Generations and Microgrid; Power System Dynamics and Protection; Smart Building, Smart Cities and Smart Grid; Power Electronics and Energy Conversion; Control, Automation, and Energy Harvesting.This proceeding represents a selection from papers submitted to the conference from universities, research institutes, and industries. All papers were subjected to peer-review by conference committee members and international reviewers.
