Penerapan Metode Fifo (First in First Out) dalam Menjaga Efektivitas Warehouse pada PT. Mutiara Luwuk Bintang Lestari

Mutiara Luwuk Bintang Lestari still manages inventory data manually in notebooks, which are prone to loss, damage, and miscalculations, resulting in inaccurate data. This study aims to examine the application of the FIFO (First In First Out) method in maintaining the effectiveness of inventory management in the warehouse of PT. Mutiara Luwuk Bintang Lestari. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through direct observation and analysis of documents related to the inventory management system. The results of the study show that the application of the FIFO method has proven to be effective in improving the accuracy of inventory data, speeding up the process of managing goods, and reducing potential losses due to recording errors. The application of this method resulted in an increase in profits, as seen in the calculation of the cost of sales of Olympic Cabinets of Rp 191,600,000, Plastic Chairs of Rp 51,450,000, and Frontliner Seats of Rp 887,200,000. Thus, FIFO-based inventory systems provide significant benefits in improving the operational efficiency of a company's warehouse.

Structural design and experimental verification of a thin-walled plastic chairs based on the finite element method

This study focuses on the design and preparation of a thin-walled plastic chair, and its mechanical properties were investigated by high load, cyclic load and drop impact. The finite element method (FEM) was employed to accurately evaluate the chair’s safety under these forces. Additionally, the effects of important structural parameters on the loading process in different states were investigated. Furthermore, a solid plastic chair prototype was created for experimental analysis. The findings revealed that increasing the thickness of the key structural parameters enhanced the safety properties of the chair under various load conditions. Optimal results were obtained when both dimensions were set to 5 mm. The deformation errors in FEM, experimental strength analysis, fatigue analysis, and drop impact analysis were measured at 3.7%, 3.6%, and 11.7%, respectively. Similarly, the stress errors were determined to be 5.9%, 5.2%, and 6.5%. These results suggest that the structural design of the chair demonstrates excellent reliability. Studying the crucial structural parameters of a plastic chair can provide valuable insights for the scientific design and safety evaluation of thin-walled furniture.

Skeletal muscle disorders are discomfort that arises due to injuries to muscles, tendons, joints, nerves, and soft tissues during work. This research method uses a cross-sectional study design. Data collection was conducted from January to July 2023 in the sector of tobacco processing in East Java. Workers in tobacco processing sector X, while performing their tasks using plastic chairs without proper ergonomic support, can lead to complaints of skeletal muscle disorders. The aim of this research is to analyze the risk of complaints of skeletal muscle disorders in the work of tobacco processing X. The sampling technique used random sampling with a sample size of 9 respondents. Measurement of skeletal muscle disorder complaints used a questionnaire based on SNI 9011:2021. Data analysis was done using the Chi-square test. The test results show that physical fatigue, job tasks, and age are related to complaints of skeletal muscle disorders. Efforts to reduce the risk of skeletal muscle disorders at workers in tobacco processing X in East Java are recommended to use ergonomic chairs, take breaks, and perform relaxation movements.

The purpose of this research is to provide information on which items are in greatest demand and which items are less in demand through the a priori algorithm. The application of data mining to analyze sales data at Toko Pebi is used to provide information on the results of the analysis of sales data at Toko Pebi every month which can be used as a parameter in managing the inventory of goods at Toko Pebi, besides that it can provide information on the items that sell the most at Toko Pebi. In analyzing the sales data, the Apriori Method has been applied, so that the stages of the final results of the analysis go through the stages of the Apriori Method by meeting the minimum support and minimum confidence that have been previously determined. Based on the results of tests that have been carried out on a sample of data for December 2022 as many as 30 transactions, it is found that the sales of goods that are most in demand by the community are dining chairs and dining tables that meet the minimum support of 20% and confidence of 50%.

Assessment of Household Environmental Risk Factors for Falls Among Community Dwelling Older Persons in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala

Falls constitute a major public health problem among older persons worldwide. This study attempted to observe and identify the potential environmental hazards within and outside the houses that could have caused fall-related injuries of older persons. The modifications done to the house after the falls were also observed. Households of older persons who were hospitalised at a tertiary care centre in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, India for complaints of fall related injuries (participants of a case-control study) were observed using a guide that was customized and adapted for the setting. The areas around the houses were slippery and had several tripping hazards. Marble, granite and tiled floors were found to be slippery. Door thresholds, door mats with no grip backing and plastic chairs were found to be potential tripping hazards. Steps/stairs were important in causation of falls. The bedrooms were often dark, small and cluttered with furniture. The bathrooms were frequently located outdoors and at a different level from the rest of the house. Lighting was a problem within the house, inside the toilet and bathrooms. Commonest alteration made to prevent falls was introduction of mats inside and outside the house. Changes that were needed for a safe environment for older persons are often challenged by the need to display status markers. Several potential hazards were identified within and around the house. They either precipitated the falls or modified the outcome of falls. Further research is necessary to work out a guideline for constructing safe and friendly houses for older persons.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of economic growth through culinary tourism in Kambang Iwak, Palembang city. The obstacle faced by the kambang iwak traders, when the rainy season arrives, the plastic chairs that traders provide for wet buyers and even awards from the government if the Kambang Iwak traders belong to the creative economy class for Indonesian culinary tourism, especially the city of Palembang, there are no awards in the form of additional capital, certificates or placards about the best taste or the most crowded shops visited by people, so that Kambang Iwak traders can be even more creative in marketing their wares which is a culinary icon of the creative economy, especially the city of Palembang. This study uses a descriptive research approach using a qualitative approach. Results in. In this research, Culinary is one of the pillars of the creative economy. Culinary in Indonesia has great potential in Indonesia to continue to grow. The creative economy in Indonesia, especially in the Palembang area, is snacks in Kambang Iwak. Snacks are in demand by all walks of life, both children, teenagers, adults to the elderly, even traders in Kambang Iwak are well known outside of Palembang. Culinary has an important role to increase economic growth. Culinary is one of the creative economies. Creative economy in the form of culinary is the creativity of human resources as the main asset to create economic added value.

Accelerated transformation of plastic furniture into microplastics and nanoplastics by fire

Numerous plastic items are known to gradually degrade and release microplastics and nanoplastics under certain conditions, which can be significantly accelerated by fire combustion. Unfortunately there is a limited knowledge about this burning process because the characterisation on microplastics and nanoplastics is still a challenge. In this study, an outdoor plastic chair is subjected to a combustion process, the change in the surface functional groups (due to different degree of burning) and the release of microplastics and nanoplastics are investigated. During the combustion process, the plastic is molten, burned and deposited on solid surfaces including concrete, stone and glass. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results show that the peeling off the deposited plastic generates a large number of fragments. Through Raman imaging, these fragments are characterised as polypropylene (PP) microplastics and nanoplastics due to appearance of characteristic peaks. To further increase the sensitivity, several algorithms are tested and optimised, including logic-based, non-supervised principal component analysis (PCA)-based, algebra-based and their hybrids (to intentionally correct the non-supervised PCA) to enable the effective extraction of the key information towards plastics characterisation, particularly by distinguishing the signal from the background noise towards the visualisation of the different degrees of burning. Based on the findings from Raman imaging and SEM, it is estimated that tens of microplastics and nanoplastics are created per μm2. Overall Raman imaging can be a suitable approach to characterise the microplastics and nanoplastics in a complex background, such as the fire-burned plastic items.

Multi response optimization of injection moulding process to reduce sink marks and cycle time

In the rapidly growing field of technology, there is a demand for consumer goods made of plastic. To meet needs of customer, plastic products are made in different ways. There are different plastic manufacturing process. Numerous plastic manufacturing process are thereInjection molding is involves injecting molten material into a mold and allowing it to take on the shape of the mold.There are wide ranges of products such as plastic chairs, Computer cabinet etc. are manufactured with the help of smaller and more complex profiles. Due to lack of dimensional accuracy these complex profile produces defects inside the mold. Current study provides insights into transparent thermoplastic Polypropylene products. Five plastic injection molding variable criteria are considered for reducing the depth of sink mark in injection molding for commercial grade transparent thermoplastic (Polypropylene). Melting temperature (8C), mold temperature (8C), packing time (seconds), ratio of ribs to walls (%) and rib to gate distance (mm). According to Taguchi's design L27 experiments are performed and factors are optimized using the Taguchi based utility concept for multi criteria problems. The sink mark's depth on the part's surfaceis considered as quality of product and cycle time is considered as the productivity of product. It is the one of the best techniques, which can maintain the equilibrium between two.

Injection molding is making products made from plastic materials through melted plastic and then injected into a mold or mold. The plastic lounge chair is made of polypropylene (PP) by injection molding. In the injection molding process, there are parameters of injection speed, pressure, and molding position. This study aims to determine the effect of injection speed, pressure, and mold position. Injection speed, injection pressure, and improper mold position can produce a lounge chair with short-shot defects. Short-shot defects cannot be repaired but must be recycled by chopping them up to be reused as additional material for producing plastic products; this will increase operational costs. Efforts to reduce short shots can be done by changing the speed parameter settings, injection pressure, and mold position. Plastic lounge chairs, according to standards, were obtained by inverted mold position and injection speed settings in zones 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of 70, 60, 50, 45, and 30 in mm/s units. The injection pressures are 95, 85, 75, 65, and 55 bar.

Ergonomic Design of Classroom Furnitures: Evaluation of Comfortability and Musculoskeletal Disorders

Background: Anthropometric studies are essential in furniture design to ensure comfortability and improved productivity of the users. Methods: Anthropometry of 407 from a population of 5601 students, and classroom furniture at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology were evaluated. Student’s comfortability and reported musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in using the furniture were assessed with two questionnaires. Participants who volunteered for the study were randomly selected and had no previous history of MSDs. Descriptive statistics of the collected data were analyzed using SPSS software. Results: The participant's aged ranged from 17 to 28 years, and mostly were female (61%). The fitness between student’s anthropometry and classroom furniture included underneath table height for the imported plastic furniture and chair seat depth and width, as well as underneath table height for the locally manufactured wooden furniture. We observed high incidence of MSDs, including upper back (71.40%), lower back (58.30%), neck (51.90%), joint (39.10%), shoulder (32%), knee (25.20%), and wrist (22.60%) pain. The prevalence of MSDs were higher in women than men. The majority of the students were uncomfortable with using the furnitures, and only 6.6% reported comfortable experience. Conclusion: Recommended dimensions for ergonomically designed furniture have been proposed to reduce MSDs in the students. It would improves student’s health, and promote comfortability.

Women in Leadership and Their Influence on the Gender Diversity of Academic Plastic Surgery Programs.

Women seldom reach the highest leadership positions in academic plastic surgery. Contributing factors include lack of female role models/mentors and lack of gender diversity. Studies show that female role models and mentors are critical for recruiting and retaining female surgeons and that gender diversity within organizations more strongly influences women's career choices. The authors therefore sought to determine the current gender diversity of academic plastic surgery programs and investigate influences of gender and leadership on program gender composition. A cross-sectional study of U.S. plastic surgery residency programs was performed in December of 2018. Genders of the leadership were collected, including medical school dean, department of surgery chair, department/division of plastic surgery chair/chief, plastic surgery program director, plastic surgery faculty, and plastic surgery residents. Gender relationships among these groups were analyzed. Ninety-nine residency programs were identified (79 integrated with or without independent and 20 independent). Women represented a smaller proportion of academic plastic surgeons in more senior positions (38 percent residents, 20 percent faculty, 13 percent program directors, and 8 percent chairs). Plastic surgery chair gender was significantly correlated with program director gender, and plastic surgery faculty gender was significantly associated with plastic surgery resident gender. Although not statistically significant, female plastic surgery chair gender was associated with a 45 percent relative increase in female plastic surgery residents. Women in leadership and gender diversity influence the composition of academic plastic surgery programs. Gender disparity exists at all levels, worsening up the academic ladder. Recruitment, retention, and promotion of women is critical, as such diversity is required for continued progress in innovation and problem-solving within plastic surgery.

This cycle of interaction is what Manuel DeLanda called as morphogenic power of its own. Understanding material system and existing context are two essential processin order to produce a responsive design in this random, unpredictable pattern of informal space, which in this paper, the context that will be specifically studied is Pasar Baru. In the further study, the material which will bestudied along with Pasar Baru context is the versatile usage of plastic chair. This paper will investigate materiality approach as a relevant method to create a contextual design, as this approach will be highly based oninteraction system between the physical material and the context.

Plastic Surgery Chairs and Program Directors: Are the Qualifications Different for Men and Women?

The gender disparity between the number of female and male chairs and program directors has been previously established. The aim of this study was to determine whether any differences in objective credentials existed between male and female plastic surgery department chairs/division chiefs and program directors. Information about each plastic surgery program director and chair/chief was extracted from the websites of all institutions affiliated with a plastic surgery residency program. For each individual, information about the length of their career, number of fellowships completed, and number of publications was recorded. The two-tailed t test was used to compare differences between male and female chairs and program directors. A total of 99 chairs were recorded, of which nine (9.1 percent) were female. Of the 99 program directors, 13 (13.1 percent) were female. There was no difference in the number of years in practice or number of fellowships between men and women for either position. On average, male chairs had significantly fewer publications than female chairs (71.9 versus 128; p < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the number of publications between male and female program directors. Compared to program directors, chairs had significantly more years in practice and numbers of publications, which held true for both men and women. Women are not only underrepresented in the department chair and program director positions, but also possess higher qualifications that may reflect differences in standards for promotion and appointment. Additional research is needed to elucidate the reasons behind the observed differences in qualifications.

Strength properties and durability of clay soil treated with mixture of nano silica and Polypropylene fiber

This article examined the effect of recycled polypropylene fiber (PPF), which is generated during manufacturing of plastic chairs, in addition to Nano-Silica as a novel technique to enhance the mechanical characteristics of clay soil. The main motive of this research is to investigate the optimal combination of Nano-Silica and Polypropylene fiber with clay soil. The engineering properties such as liquid limit, plastic limit, maximum dry density and unconfined compressive Strength (UCS) are analyzed with virgin soil, the soil with Nano-Silica and combination of soil with Nano-Silica and polypropylene fiber. The Durability test is performed to understand the durability of stabilized soil by analyzing wetting–drying cycles Also, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) test is carried out and images are obtained to understand micro-structural modification towards mixture of Nano-SiO2 and PPF. Four different combinations of Nano-Silica at different percentages 1%, 3%, 5% and 7% are used in integration with polypropylene fiber is used in different percentages such as, 0.1%, 0.4%, 0.7%, 1%, and 1.3%. From these experiments, it has been analyzed that with the increase of PPF content in addition to Nano-Silica, the UCS increases and maximum value of UCS is obtained at 7% of Nano-Silica with 0.7% of PPF. The intermixing of PP fiber with the soil acts as a reinforcing material in binding the soil particles and the ‘bridge effect’ of fiber reinforcement in soil impedes the further development of tension cracks.
