The article is devoted to the analysis of the component of corporate social (CSR). The content of the concept of environmental responsibility is defined, which envisages actions aimed at protecting and improving the environment; sustainable production and consumption. It is proven that Ukraine has sufficient resources, labor and scientific potential to improve the situation in the country, but the current level of of domestic companies is still far from international standards. The place of Ukraine in the index of sustainability in the sphere of natural resources management and their rational use is analyzed and outlines the main problems of development of component of social in the activity of enterprises, including: imperfect domestic legislation, slow development of environmentally friendly production institutes, lack of a reliable system of standardization and certification, low level of ecological consumption culture. The current practice of corporate and a number of projects aimed at improving the situation are reviewed. The necessity to increase social in order to prevent negative impact on the domestic economy is substantiated. Effective measures are proposed to improve the level of efficiency of environmentally responsible CSR practices for domestic enterprises and corporations, such as: introduction of priorities into the mission and purpose of companies, building a strong management team and involving employees in the development and implementation of projects, conducting audit, combining business interests with the company's strategy, introduction of various innovative forms of CSR for the implementation of programs, formation and implementation of green investment policy and the like. Successful implementation of environmentally responsible practices in the long term will be the key to ensuring the sustainable development of domestic enterprises and corporations.
