Inovasi Olahan Ikan Tuna menjadi Bakso Ikan bagi Pelaku Usaha Kuliner di Pariwisata Pantai Desa Botutunuo

Gorontalo as a province that includes the Tomini Bay area, makes this area have residents who use the sea as a livelihood. Botutunuo Village as one of the nine villages located in Kabila Bone sub-district, Bone Bolango Regency, has its own attraction as a village located on the coast of the Tomini Bay area. Not only as fishermen, many culinary business actors use this coastal area as a place for beach tourism businesses. The service team saw the great potential of marine products obtained by fishermen, one of which was tuna. This community service aims to increase the income of culinary business actors, namely MSMEs who have stalls around the tourist area of Botutunuo village and share the knowledge of the service team in processing tuna into fish balls. The enthusiasm of culinary business actors in Botutunuo Village is illustrated by the attraction of the participants in listening and seeing the direct practices demonstrated by the service team. The results of this service are expected to be able to encourage increasing the income of fishermen and MSME culinary business actors in Botutunuo village to sell their goods to tourists who visit coastal tourist sites and help improve the welfare of the village community to increase their economic income.

Counselling and Mentoring on Human Resource Management (HR) and Operational Standards (SOP) in Pring Ledok Tinjon, Madurejo, Kec. Prambanan, Sleman District, Yogyakarta Special Region

The main purpose of this abdimas activity is to provide counselling and assistance related to Human Resource Management (HR) and Operational Standards (SOP) for managers at Pring Ledok Tinjon. This abdimas activity was held at the Pring Ledok Tinjon pavilion, with 10 participants. The material presented is related to how Pring Ledok Tinjon is able to manage its human resources, improve the organisational structure, and operational standards that must be owned by a business place so that operational activities carried out can run effectively and efficiently. The material presented by the abdimas team is based on the needs and problems faced by partners. The results of the abdimas carried out are expected that the partners understand the importance of management in managing the organisation and standardisation in running operations at tourist attractions. Human Resources (HR) can be involved in the progress of Pring Ledok Tinjon, have good coordination with fellow Pring Ledok Tinjon tourism managers.

Analysis of the influence of tourism on nesting beaches for the Amazon turtle (Podocnemis expansa) on the Crixás-Açu river

Freshwater turtles play an important ecological and social role, with Podocnemis expansa (arrau turtle) being the largest freshwater Testudine in Latin America. The overexploitation of this species for the meat and egg by-products trade has significantly reduced P. expansa populations, which makes conservation actions necessary. The reproductive success of the species is essential for its permanence, and one of the most important stages of reproduction is the nesting process. Amazon tortoises can be demanding in the selection of spawning sites, evaluating substrate, ambient temperature, vegetation, safety against predators, among other factors that affect nests. Tourism on turtle nesting beaches can be interpreted as a threat to breeding turtles, which therefore may avoid busy places, being left with limited options. With this subject in mind, this work aimed to discuss factors that interfere in the nesting process and to evaluate the possible influence of tourism on the number of spawnings of P. expansa in the Crixás-Açu river (Goiás State, Brazil), one of its natural habitats. Data were obtained on the number of nests and the presence or absence of camping/tourism on 24 beaches along the river in September and October 2020, from which a boxplot graph was produced using the R software. No correlation was found between the selection of the beaches by turtles and the presence or absence of tourism, requiring further studies on the multiple factors that influence spawning in the Crixás-Açu river. The information published here can complement the database of future studies and corroborate the knowledge necessary for the adequate protection of these animals.

Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM), an activity can be carried out to improve the quality and quantity of smoked fish production in the MINA SALAI KUARAN business group in Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru, Riau to become an independent coaching group through two aspects: Increasing the level of empowerment of partners in the production aspect. Still lacking, because it uses traditional methods so that the target of this activity will result in a 50% increase in production quantity. And increasing the level of empowerment of partners in the social community aspect, this is done by using online marketing and SME information via Twitter and Facebook. Meanwhile, the lecture and discussion methods for participants are carried out directly in the field by presenting direct counseling materials that also involve students in the MBKM program, then conducting a demonstration method at the Partner's place of business. Bilingualism in Training and in the Professional Environment among Moroccan Laureates in Private Law

The linguistic landscape of Morocco is characterized by its complexity and diversity, the result of a rich history and a unique cultural blend. Several languages coexist, each playing a specific role in society: Arabic, Amazigh, French, and English. French, a legacy of the colonial period, occupies a prominent place in business, diplomacy, media, and particularly in the educational system, especially in higher education. This bilingualism, or even trilingualism, creates a significant linguistic gap when students transition from secondary education in Arabic to higher education predominantly in French, posing a major challenge for many students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds or rural areas. This abrupt transition leads to adaptation difficulties at the university level, affecting students' academic performance. They have to master both academic concepts and be fluent in the French language as well. As French language instructors at the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences-Souissi in Rabat, we feel the need to study the Arabic/French bilingual practice among students in private law. This article presents the linguistic situation in Morocco, then moves on to analyze the bilingual specificities of students in training and professional settings through a semi-structured interview survey. The latter is supposed to suggest practical recommendations for better adaptation of language courses to this professional training.

ICT and Entrepreneurial Orientation as Drivers of SME Performance: Insights from Padang Pariaman Regency, Indonesia

This study aims to empirically examine the impact of the implementation of information communication and technology (ICT) and entrepreneurship orientation on the performance of SMEs in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra province of Indonesia. This research uses purposive sampling with a sample of 100 SMEs registered at the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs, Padang Pariaman Regency. The data collection method used in this study was a survey. Questionnaires were distributed by visiting SMEs to their place of business directly. The results empirically prove that ICT and entrepreneurship orientation have a significant effect on the performance of SMEs. This research only uses two independent variables, so it needs additional mediating or moderating variables, such as innovation and learning orientation. Likewise, the respondents of this study were only SMEs in Padang Pariaman Regency with various types of businesses. It is suggested that further research expands research objects such as the provincial level with one SME business. The implementation of ICT can provide benefits for the performance of SMEs in developing businesses and also to be globally competitive. Likewise, entrepreneurship orientation has a significant relationship with improving the performance and level of competitiveness of SMEs

A coffee shop or coffee shop is one of the contemporary business places that is in great demand from young people to adults. In the Antapani area there is a coffee shop called Sekawan Kopi & Space which is a new coffee shop business that opened in 2023 and still uses conventional methods to carry out its business processes. After analyzing the current business processes, several obstacles were found, such as the ordering system which was still done manually, resulting in less efficient service. Where queues often occur, orders pile up and orders take a long time, incorrect order input and so on. Therefore, this project aims to design a site menu that can help overcome these problems and increase customer satisfaction with faster and easier service efficiency. The methods used in this project include literature study, direct observation, interviews with related parties, and in-depth analysis of the business processes being carried out. The result of this project is designing the Sekawan Kopi & Space website menu using Qr Code.

Tata Ruang pada Rumah Pengrajin Gamelan sebagai Home Industry di Desa Wirun Mojolaban Sukoharjo

<em>A house is a building that functions as a residence or dwelling and as a means of family development. A house should not be considered solely from a quantitative aspect through its physical prospect but also needs to encompass the social and economic aspects of the family. Additionally, a house can extend its function as a place of business and production. Gamelan artisans in the village of Wirun, Mojolaban, Sukoharjo Regency, carry out production activities alongside family development activities. The spatial layout of the gamelan artisans’ homes varies according to their residential and business activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, beginning with field observations of gamelan home industries to obtain detailed descriptions of their spatial layout, information on space utilization, and activities occurring within. This information was gathered through interviews with local residents. The study reveals the impact of industrial activities on the spatial arrangement patterns in the homes of gamelan artisans in Wirun.</em>

Risk factors associated with street food consumption in Dhaka city due to faeco-oral parasitic infection in food vendors

Ready to eat foods that are sold in streets and busy public places and popular for their affordability, accessibility and distinct flavour and taste are termed as street foods. Due to their low-income levels, the majority of people in developing countries rely on street food for their daily dietary needs. In Bangladesh, many street food vendors target young school-going children by selling attractive food items in front of schools. To understand the implications of street food consumption in Dhaka city, 200 school-based street food samples and 200 corresponding faecal samples from vendors around 50 schools were analyzed using the Formal-ether concentration method from September 2021 to June 2022. 10 parasite species (Entamoeba histolytica, Blastocystis hominis, Cystoisospora belli, Diphyllobothrium latum, Hymenolepis diminuta, Hymenolepis nana, Ascaris lumbricoides, Enterobius vermicularis, Trichuris trichiura, Ancylostoma duodenale) were identified by microscopic observation. From food and the corresponding stool samples, 7 parasite species were found. B. hominis caused the greatest proportion of infections (21.5 %), followed by C. belli (20.5 %), A. lumbricoides (17 %), D. latum (4.5 %), H. nana (3 %), T. trichiura (2.5 %) and E. histolytica (0.5 %). Statistical analysis revealed that city corporation, age, smoking status and use of today’s materials next day (p < 0.05) were associated with parasites present in stool. In the food samples, city corporation, age, use of mask, currently having disease, using today’s materials next day were significantly associated with presence of parasites (p < 0.05). This study is one of the first to correlate the lack of hygienic practices of the food vendors with an increased risk of parasitic infection in the vendors and their street foods resulting the possibility of transmission to the consumers. The study findings indicate the urgent need to ensure food quality.

Sentido y valor de los mercados costeros de lugar en Chile

This article analyses the structural dynamics of social life at five local coastal markets (LCMs) on the Chilean coast (Calbuco, Puerto Montt, Valdivia, Valparaiso and Tongoy). In a semantic narrative framework, we use ethnographic methodology to demonstrate the opacity of local markets—particularly LCMs—in terms of economic and community life. Opacity is a social condition. However, the background reveals profound significance that bears witness to and partially portrays the complexity of markets as places of business, livelihood, life projects and social mobility, where individuality is necessarily intertwined with the community. Our conclusions show that these LCMs go beyond the orthodox definitions that reduce the economy (and the markets themselves) to cost-benefit-motivated interactions between individual agents. Instead, markets go against the grain of this instrumental reductionism and offer remarkable potential for re-thinking, imagining, constructing and co-constructing areas (coastal areas in our analysis) based on collective experience.

On the other hand, the need for employment and business is very large due to the financial crisis and the phenomenon of job cuts (PHK), because many companies are going bankrupt. This problem must be borne by the city ecosystem which has many limitations. People in every city, because they are pressured by the necessities of life, can do business in urban areas wherever they think there is a chance to live. In this situation, the growth of slum areas in urban areas not only occurs in residential areas, but also occurs in business areas and along road routes which are still possible to use as places of business and residence. Of course, this cannot be tolerated, and the government needs to respond through appropriate policies now and in the future, considering that slum areas are now evenly distributed to all cities in Indonesia and not only in big cities.

Enhancing Economic, Social, and Ecological Resilience Through Sustainable Waterfront Development in Penang

The global economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted development across various regions, including Penang, where supply chain disruptions, restricted cash flow, and delayed progress have led to reduced economic growth for stakeholders and communities alike. This study aims to explore the interconnected economic, social, and ecological (ESE) systems within the context of sustainable waterfront development in Penang, focusing on how these systems contribute to economic resilience and dynamism. The land and water resources of Penang, strategically situated along vital maritime routes, present substantial potential for economic revitalization. A quantitative research approach was employed, gathering data from questionnaire surveys, revealing a positive correlation between ESE variables. Key attributes such as local authority governance, development scale and impact, business operations, place identity, heritage preservation, and waste management were found to play crucial roles in shaping sustainable waterfront initiatives. The study highlights that Penang’s core economic sectors—agriculture, mining and quarrying, manufacturing, construction, and services—have historically driven the local economy, but the growing focus on waterfront development offers new avenues for economic recovery and growth. The results validate the chosen quantitative methodology and underscore the importance of adopting integrated strategies to address land and water management challenges. By aligning with sustainability goals and adopting a holistic approach, Penang's waterfront development can foster resilience, ensuring long-term socio-economic and ecological balance. The insights provided contribute to a broader understanding of sustainable urban development and offer actionable strategies for policymakers and stakeholders involved in Penang's waterfront projects.

As the one of the batik businesses in Tanjung Bumi, CV. Batik Sumber Arafat must have good employees performance, starting from employees work loyalty, communication, and compensation. The aims of this study are to determine and analyze the effect of loyalty, communication and compensation on employees performance, partially and simultaneously. It uses the quantitative methods with surveys the employees as much as 43 respondents. Using the multiple regression analysis, the results showed that (1) loyalty has a positive and significant effect on employees performance as 0.346; (2) communication has no effect on employees performance as 0.025; (3) compensation has a positive and significant effect on employees performance as 0.353; (4) loyalty, communication and compensation effect on employees performance simultaneously as 54%.
