柵原鉱山の採鉱法

Since the general shape of Yanahara ore deposit became clear, it has been worked by over hand stoping with natural pillars.However, from the experiences cave-in and rock falls on a large scale, it was found that the height of those pillars could not be over thirty metres, and later extraction of pillars would be quite difficult and costly.Therfore, at present, non-pillar mining methods are studied by arranging sometest faces.Meanwhile, square-set method, “kappe” mining method, etc. are being adopted for trial.
