Studies of physical and chemical properties of polymer composite material reinforced with basalt fiber have been carried out. Cast polyurethane based on SKU-PFL-100 prepolymer was used as a polymer. When evaluating the influence of the degree of basalt fiber filling on the complex of physical and mechanical parameters of the polymer composite material, it was revealed that the tensile strength increases up to 10 wt % reinforcement compared to the unfilled analog. Exposure of the basalt fiber to high-frequency plasma of reduced pressure had an effect on the increase of adhesion in the polymer-fiber system. The study of adhesion interaction between fiber and polymer matrix by pulling polyurethane basalt fibers woven into a bundle revealed that the value of applied load increased by 25 %. It is revealed that the best performance was achieved when reinforcing polyurethane with basalt fiber in the amount of 1 wt % - the tensile strength of the material increased by 60 % for samples with fiber preplasma treatment and by 30 % for samples with basalt fiber without preplasma treatment.
