Frasa Verbal Bahasa Teon di Pulau Seram

This study aims to identify verbal phrases in the Teon language of Watludan Village, Seram Island, in Central Maluku District. Data collection was carried out using instruments containing Indonesian phrases which were then translated into Teon language phrases according to the data requirements. Data analysis was carried out by classifying all types of verbal phrases according to Teon language. After the data is classified, it is then analyzed based on the types of verval phrases by making formulas according to the phrase patterns of the Teon language. The results of the study show that the verbal phrases of Teon are divided into two, namely verbal phrases that can be divided into attributive endocentric verbal phrases and coordinative endocentric verbal phrases. Attributive endocentric verbal phrases consist of several types of phrases based on their attribute word classes, namely (1) verb phrases with the adverbial attribute of way, (2) verbal phrases with modal/aspect attributes, (3) verbal phrases with time averbial attributes, (4) verbal phrases with intensity attributes, (5) verbal phrases with negative attributes, (6) attribute verbal phrases in a negative way, (7) verbal phrases mean but adverbial ways; and (2) coordinate endocentric verbal phrases.

STRUCTURAL SYNTACTIC ANALYSIS OF NOUN PHRASES IN INDONESIAN

Syntax is a part of linguistics that studies how words are combined into sentences and phrases. In this study, we focus on analyzing the syntax of noun phrases in Indonesian. We use the treebank analysis technique to identify the syntactic structure of noun phrases in Indonesian. Study results show that noun phrases in Indonesian have complex and varied syntactic structures and that the context and types of noun phrases play an important role in influencing the syntactic structure of noun phrases. These findings are important for understanding how noun phrases are formed and understood in Indonesian and how it affects language processing.

Foreign language use on the business banner toponymy

The objectives of the study are to describe the foreign language and the pattern appear on the business banner toponymy. The method used is qualitative research. The data source are from the words and phrases on business banner toponymy in Medan. The data collection and data analysis used by three steps namely: 1) data codensation, 2) data display, and 3) drawing conclusion. The result of the study are the foreign languages found are in Korean, English, Chinese, Italian, French, personal name in Hindi, Spain and Japanese. Then the pattern found in the toponymy of business banner in Medan are the words and phrases in English in English pattern, Indonesian and English phrases in English pattern, Indonesian and English phrases in Indonesian pattern, English and French in Indonesian phrases pattern, English and Indonesian phrases in Indonesian pattern, English and English phrases in Indonesian pattern, French and English phrases in English pattern, Hindi and English in English pattern and English and Indonesian in English Pattern. The conclusion is that the language use on business banner toponymy almost all are the mixing of English and the other language and the patterns of the phrases are English and Indonesian.

Indonesian to English Noun Phrase Meaning Equivalence on Food Lists from Several Restaurants in Ubud Gianyar Bali

The declining numbers of arrival of foreign tourists to the island of Bali has led to some intense competitions in obtaining customers in restaurants, located in the area of Ubud Gianyar. To anticipate such things, foreign language skills, especially English is very important, especially for waiters in the restaurants, who are required to be able to explain the food / menu in English, so the customers will feel satisfied because they understand the food ordered. This study aims to describe the equivalence of Indonesian phrases into English about food on the food lists in several restaurants in Ubud. The data were analyzed using qualitative linguistic theory, which relies on a phenomenological philosophical approach.
 The results showed that all restaurants used Modificative Noun phrases, and 80% of them also used Appositive noun phrases. While Coordinative Noun phrases are only used by 10% of restaurants. Furthermore, it is suggested to the restaurant managers to use simpler noun phrases, so that it becomes easier for guests to understand the meaning of Indonesian phrases that are stated in English noun phrases. In addition, it will also make it easier for waiters to explain the food menu available at the restaurant.

Code Mixing Used by Returned Migrant Workers in Their Social Media Posts

This paper delves into the rationales as to why Indonesian migrant workers (mainly those who own private Korean language courses) like to use code mixing. They tend to add or insert Korean language either in Hangeul or its transliterated versions onto their social media posts, Facebook in particular. The fact that they are basically returned migrant workers with no formal background of Korean language education and the fact that they do this code (language) mixing so often has motivated the researcher to explore this phenomenon further. Online data gathering and online interviews with 4 respondents were conducted and 33 tokens of code-mixing and code switching were collected. This research attempts to reveal whether they want to show their particular identity as returned migrant workers who are different from the rest or they are simply a marketing gimmick for their business. The goal of the research is to determine the relationship between the use of the Korean language and the identities these returned migrant workers from Korea opt to project, the options being: identity as a returned migrant worker, identity as an owner of LPK (Korean Language Training Center), or other identities that can be revealed through this research. The research indicates that despite the fact that there are equivalent words or phrases in Indonesian, they do code mixing to emphasize that Korean words are sometimes more appropriate in certain contexts to express something they feel or think. Second, they do code-mixing to show their closeness to Korea and their breadth of knowledge about Korea. Third, they do code mixing as a way to show their academic background. Hence, a special identity to perpetuate an image of themselves as a returned migrant worker who is now an entrepreneur managing Korean language institutions as well as being a teacher.

Phonological Acquisition of a Deaf Adolescent: A Case Study of 23 Year Old-Indonesian Man

<p><em>This study is designed to find out how Indonesian phonemes are performed and changed in the form of words and sentences spoken by deaf young people 23 years old. This investigation employs a methodology for case studies. The aim of the research is to realize improvements in the accompanying phonemes and phonemes that are difficult for deaf teenagers to pronounce in Indonesian phrases. A 23-year-old deaf individual was the data source (informant). Data provision through the observation and listening methods require skill, recording and note making. The data were analyzed using the approach and the methodology of comparing links. The results have revealed that inhibited consonant, shift consonant, vibrating consonant experienced inconsistent phoneme changes. This means that phonology acquisition in the deaf depends on the accompanying phoneme.</em></p>

Arabic Dialects of Lamomea and Pudahoa at Students in Gontor 4 and 7 Southeast Sulawesi

Background:
 The symptom of using two languages in the local dialect of the Arabic speaking community in Southeast Sulawesi can be seen as an interesting phenomenon. This study aims to identify and reveal: (1) The Arabic language of local dialect “Pudahoa” at Pondok Putra 7 and “Lamomea” at Gontor Putri 4 in Southeast Sulawesi; (2) Coding variations in the communication of Arabic language in the local dialects of Lamomea and Pudahoa; and (3) the use of local Arabic dialects of Lamomea and Pudahoa.
 Methodology: 
 This research was conducted in the speaking community of Southeast Sulawesi who uses the local Arabic dialect located in Konawe Selatan at two focuses: (1) Arabic Lamomea; and (2) Arabic Pudahoa speaking community. The method used in this research is descriptive method qualitative. The descriptive method is an attempted research method to describe and interpret objects according to the circumstances.
 Findings: 
 This study found: first, the Arabic variation used in social interactions in Gontor Putri 4 is Arabic in the Lamomea dialect. Meanwhile, the Arabic variation used in social interactions in Gontor Putri 7 is Arabic in the Pudahoa dialect. The variations of code-switching that occur in the speech communities of Gontor Putri 4 and Gontor Putra 7 with the linguistic repertoire that exists in the community include first, code-switching in the form of language translation and second, code-switching in the form of speech level code-switching. Furthermore, the codes found in Arabic spoken by the Gontor Putri 4 and Putra 7 speaking community are in the form of phrases. Mix this code in the form of an Indonesian phrase into a sentence or speech. Lamomea and Pudahoa dialect Arabic as a subordinate standard language have several functions. Third, the use of Arabic in the local dialects of Lamomea and Pudahoa consists of the formal domain, kinship domain, religious domain, transactional use, social environment, informal environment, and non-formal domain.
 Conclusion: 
 There are variations of code-switching, and code-mixing in the Arabic speech communities of Lamomea and Pudahoa, Tthe Lamomea and Pudahoa dialects have local and regional characteristics and functions as a means of internal communication, a symbol of community identity and as a means of communication in formal, informal and non-formal situations. The author hopes that there will be further research that focuses on how patterns of influence between Arabic and local culture.

Phrases in Arabic and Indonesian Language

This research is about differences and similarities of phrase construction in Arabic and Indonesian. The approach in this paper was a descriptive qualitative analysis approach. The findings of this study revealed that some construction of the phrase structure is the same. Subordinative noun phrases are equivalent to idhafah in Arabic, Indonesian adjective phrases are similar to na'at in Arabic, Indonesian coordinative phrases are similar with athaf in Arabic and Indonesian prepositional phrases are similar to syibhul-jumlah in Arabic. However, there are differences between both languages which can be found in Idhafah in Arabic, some vocabulary cannot be called phrases in Arabic, and vice versa. Differences can also be found in the use of athaf letters in the equivalent of coordinative phrases. The differences are also found in the numeral phrases and murakkab adadi. Even taukid and tarkib majazi do not have the equivalent in Indonesian. The differences are not only due to structural aspects, but also by differences in cultural concepts and expressions. This study implies that errors can be predicted in the construction of Indonesian student phrases and the production of translations of Arabic phrases that are different from the construction of Indonesian phrases. The differences were found not only in the structure but also in differences in cultural concepts. This study shows that mistakes can be predicted from the formation of phrases and the translation of Arabic sentences that are different from the structure of Indonesian language.

English – Indonesian Phrase Translation Using Recurrent Neural Network and ADJ Technique

Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and annotated disjunction are discussed to develop English – Indonesian phrase based. Phrase – based English – Indonesian machine translation becomes important because there are differences between two languages and it can be a sub system for English – Indonesian machine translation. Automatic translation can be done using RNN and ADJ Technique. The main process in this research are preprocessing, determination of phrase type, and translation the phrase. In the preprocessing has process such as case folding, tokenizing, pos tagging, and stemming. In the determination of phrase type, system counts weight of input phrase using RNN. The translation phrase is entered to target language using ADJ Technique. The software experiment is tested by using 70 English phrases. The result shows accuracy of RNN and ADJ Technique for English – Indonesian phrase translation is 88.57 %.

Code-Mixing on Lyrics of Batak Pop Songs Martina I Love You from Trio Romansa

This paper discusses code-mixing that occurs in the lyrics of Batak pop songs entitled "Martina I love you" popularized by Trio Romansa. The aims to identify the form of code-mixing contained in the lyrics of the song 'Martina I love you' from Trio Romansa Trio. To analyze the form of code-mixing and the type of code-mixing in the song lyrics used code-mixing theory which refers to the opinion of Suwito (1983). The method used is descriptive qualitative, namely research that is collecting, processing data and analyzing data at the time the research was conducted. The conclusions obtained from this paper are a code–mixing of Indonesian and English into the Batak language in the song lyrics. The mixed code forms contained in the song lyrics consist of the insertion of words, phrases and clauses. The insertion of words in the form of words in Indonesian is one word, phrases in Indonesian are three phrases, and clauses in English are ten clauses. The type of code-mixing used in the song lyrics is in the form of outer code mixing and inner code mixing. The code-mixing that occurs is related to the context of song content, the limitations of suitable vocabulary in Batak language and prestige in language.

ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA PADA PENULISAN MEDIA LUAR RUANG DI KABUPATENBOJONEGORO

This research aims at: 1) describing the errors of writing in bahasa Indonesia in outdoor media in Bojonegoro, 2) describing the errors in using foreign elements, and 3) determining the suitability of the results of research with teaching materials of bahasa Indonesia at Junior High School. This research is qualitative descriptive with a sample of articles in outdoor media in Bojonegoro. The sampling technique used was purposive. Data collection techniques used were recording, observation, and note-taking. Data validation techniques used were triangulation and peer assessment. The data analysis technique was an interactive analysis which includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the linguistic elements of language errors in outdoor media are related to the use of punctuations, especially a period (.), writing the preposition of “di”, the use of the word “pukul” and “jam”, and abbreviations. Secondly, the type of improper use of foreign terms is dominated by the use of the English and the Javanese. Both languages are used simultaneously on any word or Indonesian phrase. Third, the result of this research can be used as teaching materials of bahasa Indonesia at junior high school level, especially on the subject of spelling and foreign terms (borrowing).Keywords: language error, outdoor media, spelling, foreign terms, teaching materials

PEMBELAJARAN SINTAKSIS BAGI PEMBELAJAR ASING YANG BERBAHASA PERTAMA BAHASA INGGRIS

Syntax is a branch of linguistics that discuss the relationship between words in speech , language elements that are included in the scope of syntax is a phrase, clause , sentence . Learn syntax for foreign speakers is not easy , it takes a lot of practice so that students are able to understand the material and found it difficult syntax of the results of the exercises . Difficulties and constraints Indonesian Phrases patterned material or noun - adjective DM , whereas the English phrase patterned MD - noun or adjective , thus allowing the formation of fault Indonesian phrases by foreign speakers . Difficulties in material clauses are any deformities of grammatical tense marker in English into lexical time markers in Indonesian . The existence of multiple forms of predicates in the English language into a form of predicate in Indonesian can actually facilitate foreign learners in learning Indonesian clause for foreign learners do not need to be bothered with the selection predicate forms that must be used . Learning difficulties at the level of sentences for foreign speakers closely associated with a lack of understanding of the concept of morphological. ANALISIS PENGARUH STRUKTUR FRASA BAHASA INDONESIA PADA PENULISAN PROPOSAL TUGAS AKHIR BERBAHASA INGGRIS MAHASISWA D3 JURUSAN BAHASA INGGRIS POLITEKNIK NEGERI BANDUNG

The title of the research report is “Analisis Pengaruh Struktur Frasa Bahasa Indonesia pada Penulisan Proposal Tugas Akhir Berbahasa Inggris Mahasiswa D3 Jurusan Bahasa Inggris Politeknik Negeri Bandung”. The aims of the research are to analyze the phrase structure of English which is influenced by Indonesian phrase structure in the final project proposals written in English and to analyze the most dominant mistake which is influenced by Indonesian phrase structure in the final project proposals written in English. To get the answer of the aims, descriptive method is used. The data source is 12 final project proposals written by the 2012 English department students. The result obtained is that Indonesian influences English which includes „modal, perfective‟, „progressive‟, dan „passive‟ verbal phrases and the most dominant one is the structure of passive voice. Indigenous legal traditions and Canadian Bhinneka Tunggal Ika: Indonesian lessons for legal pluralism in Canada

Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is a popular Indonesian phrase meaning “unity in diversity.” Through comparing Canadian and Indonesian approaches to conceptualizing and administering legal pluralism vis-à-vis indigenous peoples, the paper uses this concept to recommend direction for the administration of justice in Canada. The areas of comparison are the three main barriers to instituting a robust legal pluralism in Canada – legitimacy, dependency, and implementation. Where Asian and particularly Indonesian philosophies of legal pluralism create an atmosphere that legitimates legal pluralism's role as a nation-building tool, North American philosophies exacerbate an already adversarial and hierarchical relationship between multiple coexisting legal orders. While these divergent ways of framing legal pluralism have not resulted in large differences for these countries in terms of legislating to reconcile the existence of indigenous legal orders with those of the state, they have affected the way indigenous peoples and state citizens actually practice such coexistence. In general, current Indonesian practices founded on the idea of regionalism and bhinneka tunggal ika (unity in diversity) offer more opportunities for indigenous legal traditions to function. In contrast, Canadian practices founded on the centralization of power and the dominance of state legal order over indigenous ones hinder such opportunities. Ironically, the origins of the Canadian legal system and the creation of the nation were dependent on and shaped significantly by indigenous and non-indigenous societies' early respect for each other's legal orders – as treaties and early Canadian jurisprudence show. This paper advocates for a return to that respect in the interest of Canadian nation-building.

PENGGUN AAN DELAPAN LANGKAH DAN TUJUH ALAT (DELTA) UNTUK MEMPERBAIKI NILAI MATEMATIKA EKONOMI 1 DI FAKULTAS EKONOMI UNIVERSITAS SURABAYA

Nowadays implementation of quality management needs some techniques to collect information for managerial decision-making so continuous improvement process can be achieved. One of the important aspects in quality management is making decision base on facts or data. Facts or data could be collected through quality performance measurement and must be processed through statistical-analytical process. The Eight Steps and Seven Tools (DELTA in Indonesian Phrases, means DELapan langkah dan Tujuh Alat) is a statistical method that is developed to facilitate the quality improvement process, identify operational problems, and make the right actions to solve tire problems. The spreading of this successful method in Japan has been done by conducting periodic national convention on Quality Control Circle.This paper describes how to implement this method for solving the problem of teaching-leaming-process-improvement for Mathematical 1 subject in Faculty of Economics, the University of Surabaya. At the end, this paper discusses evidences that indicate about the usefulness of this method.
