Corrected photon-emission cross sections from H+-N2O collisions.

Corrected values of photon-emission cross sections from collisions of protons (100--325 keV) with ${\mathrm{N}}_{2}$O are reported. The cross sections are for the 100--000 and 000--n00 (n=0,1,2) bands of ${\mathrm{N}}_{2}$O. The dependence of the cross sections on beam energy has not changed with the new values.

Inelastic H+-Li(2s) collisions (2-20 keV). I. Experimental methods and Li(2p) excitation

A crossed-beam apparatus with photon detectors is used for the determination of absolute photon emission cross sections for inelastic H+-Li(2s) collisions. The authors present details of experimentation and Li(2p) excitation cross sections for proton impact energies of 2-20 keV. The latter data compare well with available theory and are also discussed in context with active neutral Li beam diagnostics of magnetically confined plasma.

Production of excited projectile states in collisions of 25-800 keV Nez+(z=1,2,3,4) with He, Ne and Ar

The authors have measured photon emission cross sections between 15 and 500 nm in collisions of 25-800 keV Nez+ (z=1,2,3,4) with He, Ne and Ar target gases. It is found that moderate exothermic processes with crossing radii between 3 and 10 au are relatively important. This means that for the highest charge used electron capture into excited states of the projectile and capture (or transfer) ionisation play a dominant role.
