For performance improvements of T2T (train to train) communication, it is demanded to adapt a hybrid technique such as coding and diversity reception to overcome double fading channel. To ensure performance improvements of transmitted data generated by modulator, a proposed method adopts PSSK (phase-silence-shift-keying) modulation which is the hybrid method of PPM and PSK. In this paper, the performance of CC(convolutional coded) 8 PSSK system with SC(selective combining) diversity reception technique is analyzed under T2T channel which is described by double Rician fading channel using Simulink in the matlab. A core of proposed method is hybrid of convolutional coding which is securing the hamming distance between symbols and SC diversity technique which is selecting more power sequences. Therefore, avoid a deep fading by properly combining multipath signals. As result, using proposed method it makes possible to improve BER performance under T2T channel environments. By adapting proposed method, it is expected that perfprmance is improved for T2T communication applications.
